Abstract

The vulnerability of COVID-19 transmission for Caregiver Professionals (PPA) who work in hospitals requires efforts to prevent it. One of the efforts implemented is the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). However, the comfort of wearing PPE has an influence on the performance of PPA in the hospital, especially the performance of PPA who works in the operating room. This influence starts from the dimensions of work quality performance, work quantity, work timeliness, effectiveness, work independence and work interpersonal relationships. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of the convenience of using personal protective equipment (PPE) on the performance of the surgical care provider (PPA) in the Padang City Hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a quantitative research with Cross Sectional method. The population in this study is PPA who work in operating rooms and provide services to COVID-19 surgical patients, totaling 252 people and the research sample as many as 155 people. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire on Convenience of Using Personal Protective Equipment Covid-19, Factors that Affect the Comfort of PPE and Performance During Use of Personal Protective Equipment. Test method Data collection with frequency distribution analysis using SPSS and SEM analysis PLS 3.0. The results showed that there were 5 factors that were significantly related to the use of PPE, namely effectiveness, interpersonal, independence, quantity and working time with p-values of each (sig value) < 0.05, namely 0.001, 0.000, 0.000,0.000, 0.012 and One factor that is not significantly related is the quality of work with a p-value (sig value 0.066 > 0.05.

Abstract

The Visual Infusion Phlebitis (VIP) scale is used to assess early signs of phlebitis. The number of phlebitis in Arosuka Hospital still exceeds the standard set at 1‰. This VIP scale training and socialization has not yet been given to nurses. This research aims to find out the influence of structured learning programs on the knowledge and skills of nurses in using the Visual infusion phlebitis (VIP) scale. Quasy eksperiment research type, posttest design–only non equivalent control group. The sample number of 66 respondents consisted of 33 intervention group respondents and 33 control group respondents with purposive sampling techniques. The results of the study averaged the knowledge of nurses intervention group 14, with a value range of 11-15, and the average control group of nurse knowledge 13, with a range of values 5-15. Average nurse skills in intervention group 8 with a range of grades 7-8, and the average control group nurse skills 7 with a range of grades 6-8. The results of the Mann-Whitney test showed a significant difference in the knowledge of nurses between the intervention group and the control group, p value = 0.022. There was a significant difference in the skills of nurses between the intervention group and the control group, p value = 0.001. It can be concluded that structured learning programs effectively improve the knowledge and skills of nurses in the use of VIP scales.. It is expected that there is the creation of SOP on the follow up sheet of infusion therapy.

Abstract

The comfort rate of patients or patients free from pain is one indicator of the quality of health services in inpatient rooms. One of the nurse's efforts to improve the quality rate is non-pharmacological pain management. Non-surgical Irna has a fairly high pain rate, but the number of pain management performed by nurses is still low. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors associated with the implementation of non-pharmacological pain management by nurses at Irna Non-Surgical. This study uses an analytical design with a Cross Sectional approach. The sample of this study was 89 people who were taken purposively. This research instrument was made by researchers who have been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that more than half (59.6%) of nurses were not good at implementing non-pharmacological pain management. Based on the Chi-square statistical test, there is a significant relationship between training, knowledge, attitudes and motivation towards the implementation of non-pharmacological pain management with each P-value (0.001; 0.007; 0.001; 0.001). The factor that has the greatest contribution to the implementation of non-pharmacological pain management is training. Therefore, it is expected that service institutions can create sustainable training programs on non-pharmacological pain management.

Abstract

Job satisfaction of nurses need serious attention because nurses care provider with the largest and longest time to patients. The achievement of hospitals BOR is low (26.20%) that be caused the result of achievement of the performance of nurses are not optimal yet, this is caused to the dissatisfaction of nurses to hospitals management. The aim of this research is to find determinant factors that related to job satisfaction of nurses executive in RSUD dr. Rasidin Padang. This research is know deskriptive correlation with cross sectional to 72 executive nurses in RSUD dr. Rasidin. Instrument of the research is questionnaire. Univariate data analysis used frequency distribution, bivariate with chi square test, and multivariate used logistic regression test. The result of the research is 51.4% executive nurses state dissatisfaction in working. Chi-square test is obtained there is significant correlation between the incentive, promotion opportunity, and supervision with job satisfaction. There is not correlation between the leadership, and work environment condition with job satisfaction. The result of multivariate analysis is obtained variable incentive that is dominant factors related to job satisfaction of nurses. It is expected the stakeholders of hospital management to consider the burned and risk of work based on objective performance assesment, the setting of level system performance-based on achievement career. Running the monitoring system to nursing care is given by executive nurses, and immediately to do accreditation of hospital to improve the quality of hospital services.

Abstract

Introduction : Bullying in the workplace is one of the psychological problems often experienced by nurses in the workplace that hurts individuals and organizations. Incidents of workplace bullying are common in highly stressful jobs. Objective: This study aims to find out the relationship between organizational climate and workplace bullying among nurses. Method: This study used a cross-sectional, descriptive study design. There were 235 nurses involved as participants taken with a proportional random sampling technique. To assess bullying among nurses in Bengkulu by using a Negative Action Questionaire-Revised (NAQR) instrument. Results: The results showed that of 235 nurses, there were (37.4%) of nurses who experienced workplace bullying. Three bullying actions most frequently reported were experienced by nurses every week/day is getting excessive workload, given work tasks that are not following their competence, and given the job by the target deadline is not possible. A total of (44.3%) of nurses said working in an environment with a less good organizational climate. There is a relationship between the organizational climate of bullying to nurses in the workplace with a value of p = 0.000. Discussion: An excellent organizational climate accompanied by a clear division of tasks can avoid conflicts and can prevent bullying in the workplace.

Abstract

Rendahnya kualitas pendokumentasian asuhan keperawatan disebabkan oleh berbagai factor seperti faktor internal yang terdiri dari umur, jenis kelamin, pendidikan dan masa kerja serta faktor eksternal yang terdiri dari pengetahuan, beban kerja dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang berhubungan dengan kualitas dan kelengkapan dokumentasi keperawatan di Puskesmas Kota Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah proportional random sampling dengan jumlah sampel adalah 152 orang perawat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan distribusi pengetahuan perawat sebagian besar tinggi yaitu sebanyak 91 orang (59,9%), beban kerja perawat sebagian besar rendah yaitu sebanyak 87 orang (57,2%) dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi perawat sebagian besar tidak mampu yaitu sebanyak 90 orang (59,2%). Hasil uji statistik chi square ada hubungan umur, pendidikan, masa kerja, pengetahuan, beban kerja dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dengan kualitas dan kelengkapan dokumentasi keperawatan (p Value < α=0,05). Variabel pemanfaatan teknologi informasi memiliki nilai odd ratio = 6,543 dan 12,68 yang merupakan odd ratio terbesar dalam pemodelan sehingga menjadi variabel paling dominan yang berhubungan dengan kualitas dan kelengkapan dokumentasi keperawatan. Kata kunci: dokumentasi keperawatan, kualitas, kelengkapan FACTORS RELATED TO THE QUALITY AND COMPLETENESS OF NURSING DOCUMENTATION ABSTRACT The low quality of nursing care documentation is caused by various factors such as internal factors which consist of age, sex, education, length of work and external factors which consist of knowledge, workload and utilization of information technology. The purpose of this study was to identify factors related to the quality and completeness of nursing documentation in the Health Center, Pekanbaru City. This is quantitative research with cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling with a sample of 152 nurses. The results showed that the distribution of nurses' knowledge was mostly high as many as 91 people (59.9%), the workload of nurses was mostly low at 87 people (57.2%) and the utilization of information technology for nurses was mostly inadequate namely as many as 90 people ( 59.2%). The chi square statistical test results have a relationship between age, education, years of service, knowledge, workload and utilization of information technology with the quality and completeness of nursing documentation (p Value <α = 0.05). The variable information technology utilization has an odd ratio = 6.543 and 12.68 which is the largest odd ratio in modeling so that it becomes the most dominant variable associated with the quality and completeness of nursing documentation. Abstract

The occurrence of a crisis situation caused by COVID-19 forces the head of the room to adjust its leadership to the conditions of the preparation, implementation, and evaluation during the COVID-19 crisis situation so that it can run the survival of an inpatient room. This study aims to determine the "Factors Related Leadership Leadership With Indoor Leadership Management of COVID-19 Crisis In Padang City Hospital 2022". This type of the research is Crossectional study. The population in this study were all nurses at RSUD Dr. Rasidin Padang and RSI Ibnu Sina Padang. With the sample of 183 respondents. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. Data collection in this study used questionnaires with univariat and bivariat analysis. From the results of the study, it is known that the personal characteristics of the leader in the good category are 51.4%, the factor of led group in the poor category of 51.4% and the category situation factor is 51.4%. From the results of the Chi Square test were obtained by all p _ value <0.05, there is a relationship between personal characteristics of leader with crisis management stage, the relationship between led group by the stage of crisis management, and the relationship between situation factors and the management stage. With the conclusion that there is a relationship between each factor studied by indoor leadership in the management of the COVID-19 crisis situation. The expected advice for hospitals can provide communication training and caring behavior the spatial leadership to face of the crisis so that it can improve nurse performance in providing nursing care.

Abstract

The workload experienced by health workers, especially nurses, occurs because of anxiety about the high risk of disease transmission, the increasing number of cases of the spread of Covid-19 and confirmed Covid-19 patients, the lack of human resources for hospitals so that the services provided are not optimal, coupled with high work pressure. , unclear task and role conflict. The purpose of this study was to compare the Covid 19 Isolation Nurse Workload in 2 hospitals, namely RSUD dr.Rasidin and RS Ibnu Sina Padang. The research design is descriptive quantitative with cross sectional method. The sample in the study was 66 nurses at dr.Rasidin Hospital and at Ibnu Sina Hospital Padang with 55 nurses. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data collection with frequency distribution analysis, independent t test and one way ANOVA. The results showed that the t value (2.490) > t table 1.657) or the sig value (0.014) < 0.05, so there was a difference in the workload of the Covid 19 isolation nurse at Dr. Rasidin Hospital Padang and Ibnu Sina Hospital Padang. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that the hospital will pay more attention to and maintain every situation and condition when providing nursing care services during the COVID-19 pandemic by paying attention to all aspects related to workload, psychological conditions, physical tasks, organization and work environment.

Abstract

Nursing services are often used as a benchmark for the image and quality of a hospital in the eyes of the public. One indicator of service quality is nursing documentation. Nursing documentation is a nursing care process for patients that must be carried out by nurses. The results of interviews conducted with nurses in the Men's Internal Room at RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang found that nursing documentation through IDHS, SLKI, and SIKI had not run optimally. Therefore, it is necessary to provide education on the application of the SDKI, SLKI, and SIKI in carrying out nursing documentation. The purpose of this activity is that nurses can apply nursing documentation with SDKI, SLKI, SIKI to patients. The implementation of the activity was carried out directly to the nurses with a total of 30 respondents starting with the pretest, giving material, and ending with the post test. The results of the pre test were the level of knowledge of nurses in the Men's Internal Room of Dr. M. Djamil Hospital Padang regarding the application of SDKI, SLKI, and SIKI in nursing documentation before being given education, namely 7 nurses had good knowledge (23%), 10 nurses had sufficient knowledge (33%), 13 nurses have less knowledge (44%). The results of the post test were the level of knowledge of nurses in the Men's Internal Room Dr. M. Djamil Hospital Padang regarding the application of SDKI, SLKI, and SIKI in nursing documentation after being given education, namely 25 nurses had good knowledge (83%), 5 nurses had sufficient knowledge (17%). Based on these results it can be concluded that this educational activity is very useful and can increase nurses' knowledge about documentation and can be applied directly to patients. The suggestion is that nursing managers can control the nursing documentation process so that the quality of nursing services can be optimal.

Abstract

Personal hygiene is a person's effort to maintain cleanliness and health. One of the activities during morning care regarding patient personal hygiene that nurses often forget is performing oral hygiene. The results of interviews conducted with the patient's family indicated that oral hygiene treatment was rarely carried out. Therefore, it was necessary to provide education to increase nurses' knowledge about oral hygiene—the activity aimed at helping nurses to understand the importance of performing oral hygiene care. The implementation of the activity was carried out directly by the nurse by conducting a pre-test, giving material, and ending with a post-test. The results of the pre-test were the level of knowledge of nurses about oral hygiene care before being given education; namely, seven families had good knowledge (23%), ten families had sufficient knowledge (33%), and 13 families had poor knowledge (44%). The post-test results were the family knowledge level in the HCU Internal Medicine ward at RSUP Dr M. Djamil Padang after being given education; 25 families had good knowledge (83%), and five families had sufficient knowledge (17%). Based on these results, the educational activity was beneficial, can increase nurses' knowledge about oral hygiene care, and can be applied directly to patients. The suggestion is that nursing managers can control oral hygiene care to optimize nursing services.
