Abstract

Indonesia has decreased tomato production so that it cannot meet the needs of the community. Therefore, innovation is needed to meet the increasing needs of tomatoes. One way is to form polyploid plants using colchicines. In this research a factorial randomized block design (RAK) was used with two treatments, namely Varieties (Servo F1 and Gem) and Colchhisin Concentration (0, 0.1% and 0.2%) with 4 replications with a total plant total of 24 polibek. Immersion is carried out for 6 hours. Plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, number of flowers, number of fruits per plant and weight of fruits per plant were observed parameters. From the results of the analysis showed that the variety and concentration of kolchhisin did not significantly affect all parameters. Therefore, further research will be carried out to obtain the right concentration in forming polyploid tomato plants

Abstract

Kapur merupakan penghasil kayu penting karena bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Untuk mengetahui uji kualitas dan kuantitas DNA pohon kapur Sumatera. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Terpadu Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan yang dimulai pada bulan Februari sampai dengan Mei 2017. Bahan tanaman yang digunakan di dalam laboratorium adalah sampel daun kering dari pohon kapur yangdikoleksi dari lapangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ekstraksi dan isolasi DNA, uji kualitas dan kuantitas DNA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa DNA memiliki pita yang terang dan tebal terdapat pada aksesi pohon kapur nomor 2, 4, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25 dan 27 sedangkan pita yang agak tipis dan kurang terang terdapat pada aksesi aren nomor 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 14, 15, 22, 23, 26, 28, 29 dan 30.Kemurnian DNA yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini berkisar antara 1.519 -1.962. Konsentrasi DNA yang dihasilkan berkisar antara 85.3 - 2852 µg/ml.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui media perkecambahan yang tepat untuk benih tanaman aren. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium dan Kebun Percobaan Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi, Medan yang dimulai pada bulan Desember 2017 sampai dengan Mei 2018. Bahan tanaman yang digunakan adalah benih tanaman aren yang diambil dari kebun aren alami di Sipirok Tapanuli Selatan Percobaan ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Nonfaktorial dengan perlakuan media perkecambahan, yaitu: pasir (M1), arang sekam (M2), top soil (M3), cocopit (M4), serbuk gergaji (M5), tanah dari hutan aren + bahan organik (1:1) (M6), M6 + pupuk NPK (1 g/kg media( (M7), tanah + kompos (1:1) (M8), tanah + pupuk kandang ayam (1:1) (M9), tanah + pupuk kandang sapi (1:1) (M10) dengan parameter pengamatan potensi tumbuh kecambah (PTM), daya kecambah (DK) dan panjang apokol (cm). Hasil penelitian menunjukkanbahwa media tanam cocopit sebagai salah satu alternatif media perkecambahan biji tanaman aren yaitusebesar 46.67%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving bamboo shoot extract and organic fertilizer azolla and its interaction on the growth of robusta coffee (Coffea robusta L.) seedlings. The design used in this study was a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with 2 factors with 16 treatment combinations and 2 replications in order to obtain a total of 32 plots of research treatment plots. The results showed that bamboo shoot extracts and the application of Azolla organic fertilizer and their interactions did not affect all observation parameters such as plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), stem diameter (mm), plant wet weight (grams), and dry weight. plant (grams). Where the best bamboo shoot extracts in this study were found in R2 treatment (200 g / plot). The best application of azolla organic fertilizer in this study was found in treatment A2 (10 g / plot). Abstract

Abstrak Bawang merah merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang dibutuhkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Alasan pentingnya masyarakat membudidayakan bawang merah sendiri yakni diantaranya kebutuhan bawang merah di dalam rumah tangga cukup banyak karena hampir setiap hari masyarakat mengkonsumsi bawang merah untuk memasak, maka dari itu untuk mengurangi pengeluaran masyarakat harus bisa mandiri dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya.  Dalam pembudidayaan bawang merah diperlukan bahan organik yang dapat membuat pertumbuhan baik sehingga menghasilkan produksi yang maksimal. Selama ini masyarakat hanya membuang sampah dedaunan disekitar pekarangan mereka sehingga dan ada juga yang membakar daun tersebut terjadinya pencemaran di lingkungan sekitar mereka. Pembuatan kompos diharapkan dapat diaplikasikan langsung untuk pembudidayaan bawang merah pada pekarangan rumah.

Abstract

Abstrak. Vertikultur adalah salah satu contoh urban farming yang diartikan sebagai teknik budidaya tanaman secara vertikal dengan penanaman dilakukan secara bertingkat untuk memaksimalkan penggunaan lahan dalam menghasilkan tanaman. Pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan September 2018 di desa wonorejo kecamatan pematang Bandar kabupaten simalungun. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian berupa ceramah dan diskusi serta praktek pembuatan vertikultur. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk menambah informasi masyarakat tentang pemanfaatan pekarangan rumah dengan metode vertikultur. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan pada masyarakat agar dapat memanfaatkan pekarangan rumah dengan system vertikultur untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan masyarakat setempat. Dengan penggunaan vertikultur ini masyarakat dapat memenuhi pangannya sendiri dan menghasilkan sayur-sayuran yang sehat dan bebas dari pestisida.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the agronomy characteristics of several onion varieties (Allium ascalonicum L.). The study was conducted in Klambir Lima Village, Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province with an altitude of ± 25 meters above sea level above sea level. This study was conducted in January to April 2022. The research method used was the Random Design Group (Rack) of a single factor. These factors consist of 4 treatments, namely: Shallots Super Philips, Bauji, Bima Brebes and Maja Cipanas varieties. The parameters observed are plant height, number of puppies, number of leaves, number of tubers per sample, tuber diameter, wet weight of samples per sample, wet tubers per plot, dry weight of tubers per plot, leaf color and tuber color. The data obtained was analyzed using variety of analysis. If the analysis of the variety shows the real difference at α = 5% it will be continued with DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). From the research results of the Bauji varieties of onion have advantages in several observation parameters compared to the onion of super philips, Bima Brebes and Maja Cipanas varieties. Abstract

The study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of quail manure and rice straw mulch on glutinous corn (Zea mays var. ceratina) growth and production and the interaction between the effectiveness of quail manure and rice straw mulch. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 2 factors with 16 combinations and 32 treatment plots. The first factor was applying quail manure (L) which consisted of 4 levels, 0 kg/plot, 0.85 kg/plot, 1.70 kg/plot, and 2.55 kg/plot. The second factor was the provision of rice straw mulch (Z) which consisted of 4 levels, 0 kg/plot, 1 kg/plot, 2 kg/plot, and 3 kg/plot. Parameters observed were plant height (cm), total leaf (strands), cobs weight per sample (g), cobs weight per plot (g), cob length (cm), and the number of rows (rows). The results showed that the application of quail manure and rice straw mulch affected the parameters of plant height (cm), total leaf (strands), cob weight per sample (g), cob weight per plot (g), cob length (cm) and the number of rows (lines). The interaction of giving quail manure and rice straw mulch did not affect the parameters of plant height (cm), total leaf (strands), cob weight per sample (g), cob weight per plot (g), cob length (cm) and the number of lines (row). The best treatment was found in quail manure and rice straw mulch, 2.55 kg/plot and 3 kg/plot.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the growth and production of soybean plants (glycine max L) with the response to cow dung and banana peel POC fertilizers and their interactions. This research method used a factorial randomized block design (RAK) consisting of 2 factors with 16 treatment combinations and 2 replications so that 32 research plots were needed. The first factor studied was the treatment of cow dung fertilizer with the symbol "S" consisting of S0 = 0 g/plant, S1 = 100 g/plant, S2 = 200 g/plant, and S3 = 300 g/plant. The second factor is giving POC banana peels with the symbol "K" consisting of K0 = 0 ml/liter of water/planting hole, K1= 200 ml/liter of water/planting hole, K2= 400 ml/liter of water/planting hole, and K3= 600ml/liter of water/planting hole. The parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of pods per sample (fruit), production per sample (g), production per plot (g) and weight per 100 seeds. The results showed that the application of cow dung fertilizer and banana peel POC had a significant effect on plant height (cm), but had no significant effect on the parameters of Number of Pods per Sample (fruit), production per sample (g), production per plot (g) and weight per 100 seeds. Keywords: Cow Manure, POC Banana Peel, Soybean

Abstract

This research aims to determine the test of giving organic chicken manure and eco enzyme on the growth and production of shallot plants (Allium ascalonicum L.). This research will be carried out at CV. Mitra Tanam which is located on Jl. Madura, Pepper Garden, Pahlawan Village, North Binjai District, Binjai City, North Sumatra Province. This research used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK), with two factors studied, namely organic chicken manure fertilizer (P) and eco enzyme (E). This research consisted of 5 observation parameters, namely plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), wind dry weight per sample (grams), wind dry weight per plot (grams) and root length (cm). The results of this study show that the interaction between the application of organic chicken manure fertilizer and eco enzyme has a non-significantly different effect on the observed parameters of plant height (cm), air dry weight per sample (gram), air dry weight per plot (gram), and root length. (cm) but has a very real effect on the observation parameter of the number of leaves (pieces).Keywords: Red Onion Plants, Chicken Manure Organic Fertilize, Ecoenzyme.INTI SARIPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui uji pemberian pupuk organik kotoran ayam dan eco enzyme terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L). Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan di CV. Mitra Tanam yang berlokasi di Jl. Madura, Kebun Lada, Kelurahan Pahlawan, Kecamatan Binjai Utara, Kota Binjai, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Penelitan ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial, dengan dua faktor yang diteliti yaitu pupuk organik kotoran ayam (P) dan eco enzyme (E). Penelitian ini terdiri dari 5 parameter pengamatan yaitu tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), berat kering angin per sampel (gram), berat kering angin per plot (gram) dan panjang akar (cm). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa interaksi antara pemberian pupuk organik kotoran ayam dan eco enzyme memberikan pengaruh berbeda tidak nyata terhadap parameter pengamatan tinggi tanaman (cm), berat kering angin per sampel (gram), berat kering angin per plot (gram), dan panjang akar (cm) tetapi berpengaruh sangat nyata pada parameter pengamatan jumlah daun (helai). Kata Kunci: Tanaman Bawang Merah, Pupuk Organik Kotoran Ayam, Eco Enzyme.
