Abstract

Kajian ini membahas tentang inovasi layanan pada masa pandemi Covid-19 yang ada di Perpustakaan UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Selama masa pandemi yang dimulai pada tanggal 17 Maret 2020 bisa dikatakan perpustakaan hanya memberikan layanan daring. Meski sempat memberikan layanan tatap muka, namun itu hanyalah berlaku untuk hari-hari tertentu sesuai dengan regulasi yang berlaku. Dengan ditiadakannya layanan tatap muka, maka perlu dilakukan inovasi baik dari segi layanan dan koleksi agar peran perpustakaan sebagai pusat sumber informasi tetap berjalan sebagaimana mestinya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif yakni melakukan kajian mendalam tentang fenomena yang terjadi di masyarakat disertai penyajian dengan menggunkan kata-kata agar mudah dipahami. Adapun hasil analisis pada data hasil observasi dan dokumentasi memberikan kesimpulan bahwa terdapat tujuh inovasi layanan yang diberikan oleh Perpustakaan UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya selama masa Pandemi, yakni layanan bebas pinjam mandiri online, layanan jaminan, layanan paket, perpustakaan digital KUBUKU UINSA, Online Information Literacy The Series, Smart Room, dan bimbingan pemustaka online.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of libraries in improving the quality of education at the State Islamic University of Sunan Ampel Surabaya. The approach used in this research is qualitative with the case study method, which is to reveal and understand certain phenomena that occur in society in depth based on existing data. (Prihatsanti, 2018: 127-128). The results of the research analysis found that with sufficient resources owned, UINSA Libraries are able to play a role in at least four of the nine higher education accreditation criteria, namely facilities and infrastructure, education, research, and community service. The quality of these resources can be proven by the achievement of the A accreditation status achieved by the Sunan Ampel UIN Library since 2015.

Abstract

The focus of the problems in this study are: 1) What information needs must be met by students in completing their final assignments at the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTK) Faculty of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya? and 2) What is the role of libraries in meeting the information needs of students who complete their final assignments at FTK UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya? The results, it shows that Information needed by students of the FTK at UIN Sunan Ampel in completing their final project is all collections available in the library, both printed and digital. Print collections such as books, dictionaries, journals, research results are the most sought-after sources of information, and this can be obtained through the use of general collections, reservoirs and serials, specials, references, and corners. Other information needs are fulfilled from digital collections in the form of repositories that can be available through the website http://repository.uinsby.ac.id. The Sunan Ampel UIN library has a significant role in fulfilling the information needs of students who are in the process of completing their final assignments. There are at least two supporting indicators, namely the level of visitor visits which reached 141,438 students in a year or 11,786 people each month and book-borrowing transactions totaling 75,110 copies only in the period January to August 2019 or an average of 9,388 copies per month. Several reasons that make students prefer to visit the library compared to other places such as bookstores are due to the dampness and variety of collections, comfortable places, easy access to collection utilization, friendly staff, and the suitability of collections to scientific needs.

Abstract

Ada dua tujuan yang ingin diketahui dalam penelitian ini, yakni uraian tugas mahasiswa magang dan mengetahui bagaimana tingkat kompetensi mahasiswa magang di Perpustakaan UIN Sunan Ampel. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kuantitif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, yakni memfokuskan pada fenomena yang terjadi, baik individu maupun kelompok pada waktu, tempat, dan perilaku dengan menggunakan angka-angka dalam penyajia data dan analisisnya. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah 1) setiap mahasiswa yang terlibat dalam program magang diberikan tugas dan beban kerja pada setiap bagian/layanan yang ada di perpustakaan secara bergiliran sesuai jadwal yang telah ditentukan, seperti sirkulasi, administrasi, teknis/pengolahan, repository, koleksi umum, koleksi tandon dan serial, koleksi referensi. 2) tingkat kompetensi mahasiswa magang memiliki kategori tinggi berdasarkan hasil analisis rumus prosentase yang mencapai 97%. Hasil ini berdasarkan data kuesioner berbasis unsur kompetensi seperti kepribadian, professional, dan sosial. Data kuesioner diperkuat dengan adanya data observasi yang menyatakan ada dua hal yang menjadi pendukung tingginya kompetensi mahasiswa magang, yakni internal dan eksternal. Internal Faktor internal meliputi keinginan memperoleh nilai terbaik, inisiatif bertanya jika terjadi kendala dalam bekerja, keinginan memperoleh pengalaman kerja, proses adaptasi yang baik dengan lingkungan. Sedangkan faktor eksternal diantaranya adalah adanya dukungan penuh dari karyawan, transaparansi jadwal magang, detail uraian kerja, dan pemberlakuan absensi kehadiran setiap hari untuk kedisiplinan

Abstract

This study aims to answer questions about the media used in information dissemination during the pandemic, the types of collections contained in the repository, and the level of utilization of repository collections during the pandemic at the Library of UIN Sunan Ampel. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, namely conducting an in-depth study of symptoms that occur in a certain place and time using observation and documentation techniques on the object of research, that is the library repository on the website http://digilib.uinsby.ac.id. The research findings are as follows: 1) the media used as a means of disseminating information at the UIN Sunan Ampel Library are subscription e-books, subscription journals, UINSA books, and repositories. 2) There are 4 types of collections available in the repository, namely final and non-final assignments. The final project consists of a thesis, a thesis, and a dissertation. Meanwhile, non-final digital collections include scientific papers, journal articles, mass media articles, articles in books, books, textbooks, conferences, KKN/PKL reports, research reports, service reports, papers, scientific orations, guidelines, and proceedings. 3) The utilization rate of repository collections has increased during the pandemic compared to before. This can be seen from the number of page loads which increased by 86%, unique visits increased by 34%, first time visits increased by 60%, and returning visits increased by 6%.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui redesain layanan bebas pinjam dan perbedaannya dengan layanan bebas pinjam konvensional yang ada di Perpustakaan UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya dikarenakan pandemic Covid-19. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, yakni memahami dan meneliti fenomena tertentu yang terjadi secara mendalam didasarkan pada data-data yang terkumpul untuk selanjutnya dilakukan pengolahan dan analisa agar diperoleh pemecahannya. Hasil analisa menyimpulkan bahwa redesain layanan bebas pinjam adalah perubahan prosedur dari konvensional ke online. Ada dua hal yang membedakan keduanya, yakni (1) prosedur layanan yang biasanya manual dengan kunjungan langsung di gedung perpustakaan digantikan dengan pemanfaatan media sosial dan (2) jumlah file upload yang semakin banyak pada layanan bebas pinjam online. Untuk perbedaan layanan pada bebas pinjam konvensional dan online, ditemukan tujuh hal yang ada pada prosedur pelunasan tunggakan pinjaman buku, prosedur pelunasan hutang dan administrasi lainnya, file upload mandiri, proses verifikasi, penerbitan surat keterangan bebas pinjam, prosedur layanan, dan waktu layanan.

Abstract

New normal is a transition from pandemic to normal. This transition period certainly has an impact on the behavior of users in using the library, due to the culture of using digital media in meeting information needs during the pandemic. The condition that occurred in the UIN Sunan Ampel library was no exception. This study aims to determine the level of visits and borrowing as well as user behavior during the new normal period. Based on the results of research using descriptive qualitative methods with a sample of one hundred respondents, it shows a tendency that the frequency of visits is once a week with a duration of one hour. The need for a visit is to complete lecture assignments and read collections. In terms of discipline and user compliance with rules and regulations, it is still relatively high, namely, by always carrying and scanning KTM when entering. The collection services that are most in demand are General and Reference. Meanwhile, in terms of procedures for browsing collections, the majority of users choose to go straight to the shelves.

Abstract

Regulations for the appointment of librarian functional positions through the inpassing channel provide opportunities for employees in the library to further improve their careers. The minimum requirement of a two-year service period to participate in the inpassing program makes the opportunity to switch to a functional. Inpassing opportunity will not only serve as a means of increasing income and make work longer, but it will also improve performance and more achievement. With competence and motivation so that all of this can be realized. This research was conducted to determine the level of work motivation of the inpassing librarian at the UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya Library. The method used is Mixed Methods Research, which is a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods in one study to obtain more complete, valid, and objective data. Data were collected through observation, questionnaire, and interview techniques based on McClelland's three main elements of motivation, that is Achievement, Power, and Affiliation. Based on the result of quantitative data analysis, can be concluded that the level of work motivation of inpassing librarians has a high category or in the range of 96%. This result is suitable with qualitative data states that the high motivation of inpassing librarians is cause oral and written achievements, ability in managing and controlling of work section, and good interaction with managers and colleagues.

Abstract

 The trend of procuring e-libraries by libraries is motivated by the impact of the pandemic which has eliminated face-to-face services. The digital collection available in the e-library is a solution to meeting people's needs due to a shift in literacy culture from conventional to digital. Digital collections not only complement, but even replace print collections as a source of public information. Purpose Research. This study aims to determine the level of utilization of the Kubuku UINSA android based application and the image of the library as a result of its existence. Methods. The method used is the mixed method by maximizing observation and interview techniques in data acquisition. Results. The results of the study show that the utilization rate of the e-library is quite high. During the period June 2020 to April 2023, there were 31,545 visitors, 8,153 readers, 1,907 borrowers, and 26,531 copies of the collection used. Meanwhile, the image of the library is in the high category due to the existence of Kubuku UINSA. This can be seen from the four elements of the image, namely perception, cognition, motives, and attitudes which all show positive. the indicators are early introduction of applications through PBAK activities and knowledge of the types of collections available (perception). Reliability as a source of information because it consists of compulsory lecture books and the availability of digital collections as a substitute for printed books for course reading and reference (cognition). Small application size and easy access so there is no need to physically come to the library and new collections as needed (motive). Reading and citation of available collections for academic assignments as well as promotional behavior to others due to easy utilization and complete collections.Keywords: e-library, Kubuku UINSA, Library Image.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah merubah kultur akses informasi oleh masyarakat. Perubahan dari onsite menjadi online dalam pemanfaatan koleksi dan layanan perpustakaan merupakan dampak dari social distancing sesuai regulasi pemerintah. Media digital menjadi pilihan sebagai sarana diseminasi informasi dalam optimalisasi pemanfaatan perpustakaan bagi masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan kegiatan Virtual Library Class (VLC) sebagai sarana literasi digital di masa pandemi Covid-19. Metode penelitian adalah kualitatif deskriptif, yakni menggunakan kata-kata dalam menyajikan data dan analisa dengan menggunakan observasi, interview, dan dokumentasi dalam pengambilan data berdasarkan empat unsur, yakni ketepatan sasaran, sosialisasi program, tujuan program, dan pemantauan program. Hasil analisa menyimpulkan bahwa VLC efektif sebagai sarana diseminasi informasi di masa pandemi Covid-19 berdasarkan: 1) peserta sesuai dengan target karena berasal dari sivitas akademika dan masyarakat umum sehingga jangkauan kemanfaatan kegiatan menjadi lebih luas. Tema layanan dan koleksi serta prosedur pemanfaatannya sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. 2) sosialisasi program berjalan dengan baik karena memanfaatkan media sosial dan relasi pribadi. 3) tujuan kegiatan tercapai, yakni memberikan bekal pengetahuan tentang sumber referensi online dan pengetahuan tentang layanan dan koleksi yang tersedia di perpustakaan. 4) Pemantauan program dilakukan dengan adanya penyampaian informasi penting selama kegiatan, seperti media sosial, website, layanan dan koleksi, serta link daftar hadir peserta.
