Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan memberikan gambaran tentang pengembangan integrated assessment untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains dan keterampilan berpikir siswa kelas VII SMP. Pendidikan sekarang telah memasuki abad ke-21 yang menuntut peserta didik mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir. Selain itu, Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) memiliki banyak sekali materi yang mengembangkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Namun, masih banyak pendidik yang berpusat pada penilaian kemampuan kognitif peserta didik. Diharapkan dengan kajian ini dapat merubah paradigma penilaian guru yang masih banyak berpusat pada kemampuan kognitif saja, menjadi penilaian yang juga memperhatikan keterampilan proses sains dan keterampilan berpikir. Penilaian dalam kurikulum 2013 menuntut pendidik untuk melakukan penilaian secara menyeluruh, tidak hanya pada kemampuan kognitif saja tetapi juga keterampilan proses sains dan keterampilan berpikir, sehingga perlu dikembangkan instrumen penilaian alternatif, yaitu integrated assessment. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam pengembangan integrated assessment ini adalah research and development (R&D). Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah 4-D, yaitu define, design, development, dan disseminate. Disseminate merupakan tahapan penyebarluasan yang tidak dilakukan. Berdasarkan kajian ini diharapkan dapat dikembangkan integrated assessment yang layak digunakan sebagai instrumen penilaian alternatif untuk mengukur ketercapaian keterampilan proses sains dan keterampilan berpikir pada kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kelayakan instrumen penilaian untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA ditinjau dari karakteristik standar tes dan (2) seberapa besar tingkat penguasaan instrumen penilaian untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA. Prosedur pengembangan dalam penelitian ini dengan model 4-D yang dikemukakan oleh Thiagarajan yaitu define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebarluasan). Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa angket, wawancara, dan soal pilihan ganda beralasan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dengan menggunakan statistik Aikens V dan analisis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan program QUEST. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Instrumen penilaian untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA dikatakan layak ditinjau dari karakteristik standar tes yaitu kecocokkan butir soal dengan INFIT MNSQ 0,86 sampai 1,29, Reliabilitas sebesar 0,80, dan tingkat kesukaran dengan jangkauan -1,47 sampai 1,59 terdiri dari 3 katergori: 11 butir soal mudah, 7 butir soal sedang, dan 5 butir soal Sukar. (2) Persentase tingkat penguasaan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada sekolah dengan kategori tinggi 76,64%, kategori sedang 73,71% dan rendah 70,12%. This development research aimed to determine: (1) the feasibility of assessment instrument to measure the science process skills of high school students in terms of test standard characteristics and (2) how the level of assessment instrument mastery to measure the science process skills of high school students. The development procedure used in this study was by using 4-D model that was found by Thiagarajan; define, design, develop, and disseminate. The instruments used in collecting the data were questionnaires, interview, and multiple choice questions reasoned. The technique for analyzing the data used in this study was qualitative analysis by using Aikens V statistics and quantitative analysis by using QUEST program. The results of this study were (1) assessment instrument to measure the process skills of high school students where could be categorized as effective from test standard characteristic namely the matching of question items with INFIT MNSQ was 0.86 until 1.29. The reliability was 0.80 and the difficulty level was -1.47 until 1.59 consisted of 3 categories: 11 items of easy question, 7 items of medium questions, and 5 questions of difficult question. (2) The percentage of assessment instrument mastery level science process skills of high school students in high level was 76.64%, medium category was 73.71%, and poor level was 70.12%.

Abstract

The development of this practicum module is based on overcoming student difficulties in practicum implementation and final report making. Skills-based modules of the scientific process to practice the skills of the process of science are observing, grouping, interpreting, predicting, formulating hypotheses, planning experiments, and communicating. This module is expected to lead the students to be actively involved in carrying out practicum activities independently related to the concept of the material to be studied. The purpose of this research is to produce teaching material product in the form of practical genetic module based on the skill of science process that is feasible and practical used by students in genetic lecturing. The procedure of development in this research with the 4-D model proposed by Thiagarajan that is define (definition), design (design), develop (development), and disseminate (dissemination). Data collection instruments used in the form of interviews and assessment questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used qualitative analysis by calculating the average score of each component of the module assessment and calculating practicality data on the use of the practicum module. The science-based genetic module of the science process module is appropriate for use by professors of materials experts, media experts, and linguists. Second, module practicum based on science skill based on students' responses have practicality in practicum practice that is 76,05% module contents, 76,26% presentation, and 76,10% from the language.

Abstract

The 21st-century challenges require the next generations to have various skills to deal with, including scientific process skills. This study aimed to describe the scientific process skills of the senior high school student in Palembang in term of ecology subject. This descriptive quantitative research observed 231 respondents of the tenth-grade student from two different sub-districts in Palembang, Gandus and West Ilir. The student’s scientific process skills were measured using the test instrument and interview. The results showed that there were various outcomes for each indicator in Gandus i.e. 68.87% (observing), 75.00% (grouping), 54.81% (interpreting), 73.08% (predicting), 52.56% (formulating a hypothesis), 49.04% (planning an experiment), and 43.59% (communicating). Meanwhile in West Ilir the outcomes for students’ scientific process skills were 69.48% (observing), 66.34% (grouping), 56.65% (interpreting), 64.04% (predicting), 59.64% (formulating a hypothesis), 47.85% (planning an experiment), and 41.39% (communicating). It can be concluded that the students’ scientific process skills in Palembang were categorized as the medium. Hence, strategies to promote students’ scientific process skills in biology class still need to be improved especially in ecology learning.

Abstract

Abstract.  The objective of this study is to determine the percentage of science process skills of private A accredited high school students in Kecamatan Sukarami and Kemuning. The researcher used descriptive-quantitative method.The sample were the tenth grade students of private high school with A acreditation in four school in Kecamatan Sukarami and Kemuning.The sample was chosen by using Purposive sampling. The data were obtained by using questionnaires, interviews, observations, multiple choice questions, and documentation. The results showed  the percentage of the analysis of science process skills in Kecamatan Sukarami  63.22% (high) and Kemuning 61.25% (high). Kecamatan Sukarami obtained the percentage of indicators namely observing 71.72%, classifying 67.42%, interpreting 67.68%, forecasting 70.71%, formulating a hypothesis 57.07%, planning an experiment 55.05%, and communicating 44.44% . Kecamatan Kemuning obtained the percentage of indicators namely observing 69.22%, grouping 65.52%, interpreting 65.46%, forecasting 70.43%, formulating a hypothesis 50.47%, planning an experiment 51.55%, and communicating 47.85%. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase tingkat penguasaan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA se-Kecamatan Bukit Kecil dan Ilir Barat I Palembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan soal pilihan ganda beralasan. Sampel penelitian ada 4 sekolah yang memiliki akreditasi A dengan jumlah responden 335 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara Purposive Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, kuesioner, observasi, dokumentasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah persentase keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA Se-Kecamatan Bukit Kecil dan Ilir Barat I Palembang. Hasil persentase keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA se-Kecamatan Bukit Kecil palembang adalah indikator mengamati dengan persentase 68,18%, mengelompokkan 66,29%, menafsirkan 61,74%, meramalkan 73,48%, merumuskan hipotesis 42,04%, merencanakan percobaan 43,94%,dan mengkomunikasikan 51,89%. Hasil persentase keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA Se-Kecamatan Ilir Barat I Palembang adalah indikator mengamati dengan persentase 75,98%, mengelompokkan 77,21%, menafsirkan 62,43%, meramalkan 75,43%, merumuskan hipotesis 49,31%, merencanakan percobaan 53,72%, dan mengkomunikasikan 49,03%. Skills analysis of science process of high school students AbstractThis study aims to determine the percentage level of mastery of science process skills of high school students in Kecamatan Bukit Kecil and Ilir Barat I Palembang. Abstract

The purpose of this study is: to see the characteristics, feasibility, and practicality of the development of biology modules based on critical thinking skills grade x Plantae material. Modules developed based on the 4-D development model proposed by Thiagarajan are define, design, develop, and disseminate. The product validation was carried out by four validation professors and three biology teachers at SMA Negeri 4 Palembang as practitioners. Limited trials conducted by 15 students in grade x. Data analysis techniques using qualitative descriptive analysis using formulas from Aiken’s V and azwar formulas in excel. The results of the study are as follows: (1) the characteristics of the modules developed are printed using A4 paper. The module consists of a cover, title page, identity page, preface, table of contents, list of pictures, list of tables, instructions for using the module, indicators of critical thinking skills, matter of activities, Plantae material, exercises, summaries, self-reflection, bibliography, glossary , and answer guidelines; (2) biology module based on critical thinking skills on even semester grade X Plantae material is said to be very feasible in terms of the validation results; and (3) the results of practical responses by students when in the field are stated with very practical criteria. Keywords: biology module, critical thinking skills, Plantae
