Abstract

Digital Video Broadcasting via Satellite (DVB-S) is a communications that use a satellites as a repeater signal from the sender to the receiver. Because it uses the satellite as a repeater signal , then in the sender and receiver use a parabolic antenna type. The majority of the current parabolic antenna reflector color comes from the color of the material used reflector itself is gray, while the use of other types of color are rarely used be it a lighten color or darken color, in addition to use of the parabolic reflector antenna at this point, especially for the type of solid is very susceptible to corrosion or rust. So it is necessary to research on the influence of color on quality parabolic reflector antenna signal that produce either from a parabolic type of solid or mesh type.This type of experimental research, in this researchers informant trying to observe and manipulated object under control. Informant painting on the parabolic reflector antenna, measuring signal quality, signal strength and the value of C/N and then compare the results of measurements on each color parabolic reflector antenna. Instruments used by informant is a parabolic antenna, Low Noise Block (LNB)and satellite meter.The results showed that the color of a parabolic reflector antenna isinfluence on signal quality and strength of the signal that received by the receiver. The more bright colors that used in parabolic reflector antenna, more electromagnetic waves are reflected toward the LNB satellite dish antenna and vice versa which have an impact on increasing the quality of the received signal at the receiver. Painting parabolic reflector antenna other than as an attempt to prevent corrosion are also could to improve the quality of the signal, with a record of using colors that have been suggested. Color parabolic reflector antennas are recommended for applications DVB - S is a white and light blue

Abstract

One of quality assessment and the feasibility of higher education institutions and courses is accreditation. To achieve the desired accreditation value, universities and study programs must adjust the internal conditions in accordance with the standards given by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT). In most courses, all the data are scattered on different physical information systems and documents so that it takes more time and effort to integrate it into judgment. So required a system that is able to automatically retrieve and display the evaluation results with more efficient time and effort. One form of visualization that can meet it is by using a dashboard system that can integrate the entire contents of the supporting data so that when the evaluation process will get information about what parts are lacking or that already meet the standards. Abstract

Template matching is one of the techniques in digital image processing function to match each part of an image with an image into a template (reference). Template matching method is often used to identify the image of the character of letters, numbers, fingerprints, and other matching applications. In this final project will be made on the damage detection applications PCB track, this is due to PCB circuit paths that are too small and tight, so the detection manually, by using on the human eye will take a long time and a high degree of exhaustion. Making an application is intended to speed up the process detection of damage to the PCB track. The method used in this application is a method of Template Matching with Delphi programming language. Algorithms method Template Matching will classify the object, by comparing the image with a reference PCB with PCB input image. The results of applications  showed that PCB track damage detection method can detect with Template Matching damage on  the PCB track, which is marked by a red rectangular box if there is damage on  the PCB. If there is no damage on the PCB, then a warning box appears informing the PCB in good condition, without any defects. Keywords: PCB, Template Matching Method, Image Processing, Delphi

Abstract

Indoor access point (AP) causes the signal quality is reduced because it is hampered by a wall to access the outdoors. Wi-Fi is available for students only 3 APs, and IP availability is limited so it cannot meet all demand access. In addition, all the AP are connected only through the router without using the AP controller that can cause boottleneck. The lack of rule governing UNP Wi-Fi channel Processing, because the Wi-Fi is adjacent even the Wi-Fi uses the same channel so it can causes interference. The purpose of this study is to determine whether available Wi-Fi can cover areas in blocks of Electronical Engineering Department, to know the quality of the signal with InSSIDer  Software Network Stumbler and, to know the results of the speed of traffic data at any Available Wi-Fi the Department of Electronical Engineering, and find out if an Access Point (AP) which affects the quality of the indoor signal to access the outdoors. This study classified into the descriptive study with a qualitative approaching using descriptive methods. Sampling technique in this study were 95 users whose population are Electronical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from 2009 to 2012 generation. The technique of collecting data was using questionnaires and observation. Data were analyzed by using the formula. The analysis shows that the network quality is good and no signal quality percentage below 50 %. Throughput values ​​for the uplink and downlink speeds are not always the same, regardless of the size of the data is same. Free Space Path Loss value’s depends on the distance of the user and access point. The greater the distance of the user to the AP the greater Multi Router Traffic Grapher (MRTG). It can be concluded that the average daily traffic, weekly, monthly, and yearly are differerent for the next daily, weekly, monthly, yearly trafics because it depends on the users and conditions. The Wi-Fi’s facility has a very important role to help students to fullfil their needs. Keywords : Wi-Fi, LAN, Throughput, Free Space Path Loss , MRTG.

Abstract

The daily prayers are an important thing that should be done by every moslem in this world. One of the priorities in praying is to pray on the right time with directed to mecca  Nowadays, most of moslem tend to neglect the time to pray as they are busy of their works. At this time, a moslem have to be discipline in splitting  the  time  to  do  shalat.  Those who  earn  and  have enough income  is supposed to pay the Zakat Mal according to the amount of their income. In this modern era, handphone has been used by the people in facilitating their works in daily life, because handphone have many functions out of its main function. Android is an operation system that is inserted into handphone which has function to help the user in installing the application that they need. In this final project, the writer proposed a title “The designing of application in calculating Zakat Mal, Determining the Time of Shalat, and Direction to Mecca by using GPS with android system base. This application will remind the user of the time of shalat and  show  the  direction  to  Mecca  that  is  supported  by  GPS  system.  This application also includes the menu for calculating the Zakat Mal.   Keywords:  Android Application, Zakat Mal, Shalat time, Direction of Kiblat. Abstract

A Constraint in education order to produce qualified graduates is a traditional mindset of many schools in students’ majoring which only emphasizes on students’ grades. The fact is similar to ideas that expressed by Seto Mulyadi (2003), a practitioner of the child's education. He said that it was a big mistake if student achievement only measured on grades at the end of the semester.Senior High school is upper level of formal education in Indonesia, after graduating from junior high school. Students study at senior high school within 3 years as they  study at Islamic senior high school (MAN) 2 Padang Panjang, ranging from grade 10 to grade 12. In the second year or at the grade 11, students may choose one of the majors that exist in schools, namely, science, social, and Religious. In designing the decision support system for students’ majoring at MAN 2 Padang Panjang,   an artificial neural network based on Multiple Intelligence is needed. Furthermore, Java programming and MySQL are also required.  The results of the data analysis showed that the design of a decision support system for students’ majoring at MAN 2 Padang Panjang by using artificial neural network was successfully implemented, and the system can help the teachers to simplify the implementation of students’ majoring. Abstract

The background of this research has by problem  learning outcomes in digital technique subject was low then student in electronics technique majors of FT UNP, where 93,68% student which not yet reached value ≥ B. This research is purposed to reveal the contribution style learn and cognitive ability to learning outcomes in subject of digital technique in electronics technique majors of FT UNP. This research type is descriptive which have the character of correlation.The population of this research was totaled of95 people and sampel 49 people student study program education electronics technique of semester january-june 2013. Using technique of random sampling (Simple Random Sampling). Data learning outcomes student obtained in subject of digital technique in electronics technique majors of FT UNP. While data style learn and collected cognitive ability to enquette by using scale of likert which have been tested validity and reliability. data were analyzed use statistical methods constructively Microsoft Excel software 2007.The result of data analysis showed: (1). style learn to give contribution equal 18,38% to  student learning outcomes in Majors Technique Electronics of FT UNP (2). cognitive ability give contribution equal  22,56% to studentlearning outcomesin Majors Technique Electronics of FT UNP (3). style learn and cognitive ability by together give contribution equal 25,61% to student learning outcomesin Majors Technique Electronics . Become can be concluded that style learn and cognitiveability  have contribution to learning outcomes, progressively style goodness learn student in course of learning to teach andcognitive ability excelsior of student, hence result learn of excelsior.Keywords: Style Learn, cognitive ability, Learning Outcomes,                Descriptive Correlational, Simple Random Sampling.

Abstract

Design and manufacture of this thesis aims to apply microcontroller-based technology for drying clothes automatically without relying on erratic weather conditions. The closet dryer uses a drying method forced convection, by utilizing the flow of hot fluid to reduce moisture in damp clothing. The closet dryer uses a microcontroller ATMEGA8535 as a controller of heater, fan, and UV lamps based temperature and humidity readings by sensors SHT11. The closet clothes dryer is working until the end of the moisture conditions were legible on the sensor SHT11 is <19% RH. The results of sensor readings and status of clothing  displayed on the LCD 16x2. After the clothes was dried  then  closet dryer will informing status of clothes through a voice module ISD1820. From the results of tests and experiments, closet dryer can dry clothes with a maximum capacity of 3 kg within a period of 1 hour to 3 hours, with the value of the first moisture drying  legible and on the sensor SHT11 is  70-80% RH and 17-19% RH in the end. Keywords: Type of clothing,Microcontroller ATMEGA8535,heater, fan, UV lamp, sensor SHT11, LCD16x2, ISD1820.
