Abstract

This study aimed to determine the contribution of learning interest and personal competence of teachers toward student’s grade for  Graphic Arts subject at X class of Multimedia Department at SMK Negeri 1 Kecamatan Luak. The type of this research is a descriptive correlational. Population in this research are 65 students, and samples are amount to 39 students. Samples are taken by simple random sampling technique. Student’s grade data obtained from teacher’s of graphic arts at SMK Negeri 1 Kecamatan Luak. And data of learning interest and personal competence of teachers were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data analysis showed: (1) Learning interest and personal competence of teachers together contributed 61.5% for student’s grade, (2) Learning interest contributed 17.14% for student’s grade, (3) Competence teacher's personality contributed 16.64% for student’s grade. This research suggest that student’s interest in learning and personal competence of teachers give contribution to student’s grade.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the performance of optical fiber as a transmission medium. This was conducted using the discrepancy modle, which made the comparison between the measured data with the standard used PT.Telkom and ITU-T. Object of this research is the value of attenuation and power link budget. Based on the measured data on each core is core 3,7,9,10,12,15,18,20, and 23 obtained the following values as 0.239 dB / km, 0.238 dB / km, 0.240 dB / km, 0.239 dB / km , 0.236 dB / km, 0.240 dB / km, 0.242 dB / km, 0.233 dB / km, 0.238 dB / km, and the results of calculations on the same cores with each core attenuation is 0.235 dB / km, 0.235 dB / km, 0.235 dB / km, 0.235 dB / km, 0.235 dB / km, 0.235 dB / km, 0.237  dB  /  km,  0.235  dB  /  km,  0.235  dB  /  km,  based  on  the  results  of  calculation, measurement and compared with standard attenuation values are in compliance with standards ITU-T and PT.Telkom because it does not exceed the maximum attenuation is 0.25 dB/km. Analysis performed with comparing the power in receive (Rx) between the results of the calculation of each core with measurement results and instrument sensitivity, but the overall results  of  the  calculation  and  measurement  is  still  at  the  maximum  value  of  threshold sensitivity system is -19 dBm. Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials for electronic components based on Lectora Inspire software learning media in order to get a decent performance. Creating this media is designed by using the waterfall model software design methods, and it is including: 1) Design, 2) Architecture and Interface Design, 3) Coding/Programming, and 4) Testing. The feasibility test to the results of the development and creating of electronic components teaching material based on Lectora Inspire software was carried out on three main aspects, which consist of the software aspect, the media display design aspect, and the benefit aspect. Based on the results of the feasibility test which was conducted by two media experts. From this, it was obtained the data that, first, the average score of the software aspect was 17, the average score of the media display design aspect was 45.5, and the average score of the benefit aspect was 3. Thus, the average total score was 65.5 of 72. If it refered to the Likert scale table, it showed that the total score which has obtained can be interpreted that the teaching material was categorized as a very decent.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of user satisfaction on the quality of SMK SMTI Padang’s website and to determine what factors that affect the level of user satisfaction through webqual 4.0 instrument consisting of usability variables, information qualilty, and service interaction. This reseacrh uses quantitative research method with multiple linear regression. The results of the analysis shows that the best quality of usability is the suitability with the type of website with the achievement of 43.71% while the worst is the attractive website appearance with the achievement of 20.87%, the best quality of information is the presentation of information with the appropriate format with a performance of 43.71%, while the worst is easy information to understand with the achievement of 20.13%, and the best quality of service interaction is personal information security with a performance of 42.71% while the worst is the reputation website 27,87%, and third variable webqual 4.0 usability, information quality, and service interaction have positive and significant effect to user satisfaction with correlation coefficient number 0,778. Keywords: user satisfaction, smtipdg.sch.id, webqual 4.0, multiple linear regression

Abstract

This research was intended to disclose the extent to which the spatial visual intelligence and the teacher’s professional competence contributed either independently or simultaneously toward the students’ learning achievement. The population of the research was the students in class X of SMKN 1 Kecamatan Luak Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota that consisted of 65 students. By using simple random sampling technique, 40 students then were taken as the sample. The data in the form of the students’ learning achievement was gotten from the teacher of graphic design majoring in Multimedia. Meanwhile the data of the students’ spatial visual intelligence and the teacher’s professional competence was gotten through questionnaires administered to the students. The result of the research indicated that (1) the spatial visual intelligence and the teacher’s professional competence simultaneously contributed significantly (30,8%) toward the students’ learning achievement, (2) the spatial visual intelligence contributed significantly (17,8%) toward the students’ learning achievement, and (3) the teacher’s professional competence contributed significantly (10,6%) toward the students’ learning achievement. Based on these results, it was concluded that the spatial visual intelligence and the teacher’s professional competence had a contribution toward the students’ learning achievement in SMKN 1 Kecamatan Luak Kabupaten Lima Puluh kota.   Kata Kunci :Kecerdasan Spasial Visual, Kompetensi Profesional Guru, Hasil Belajar

Abstract

Design and manufacture of this thesis aims to apply microcontroller-based technology for drying clothes automatically without relying on erratic weather conditions. The closet dryer uses a drying method forced convection, by utilizing the flow of hot fluid to reduce moisture in damp clothing. The closet dryer uses a microcontroller ATMEGA8535 as a controller of heater, fan, and UV lamps based temperature and humidity readings by sensors SHT11. The closet clothes dryer is working until the end of the moisture conditions were legible on the sensor SHT11 is <19% RH. The results of sensor readings and status of clothing  displayed on the LCD 16x2. After the clothes was dried  then  closet dryer will informing status of clothes through a voice module ISD1820. From the results of tests and experiments, closet dryer can dry clothes with a maximum capacity of 3 kg within a period of 1 hour to 3 hours, with the value of the first moisture drying  legible and on the sensor SHT11 is  70-80% RH and 17-19% RH in the end. Keywords: Type of clothing,Microcontroller ATMEGA8535,heater, fan, UV lamp, sensor SHT11, LCD16x2, ISD1820.

Abstract

This research was focusing in the difference of learning outcome, specially on Basic Electrical and Electronic, in first grade at SMKN 5 Padang. The purpose was to reveal the difference of Problem Solving and Problem Posing learning model when they were implemented. By using quasi experimental dengan nonprobability sampling tecnique, was obtained two experiment classes. The first experiment class was X TAV 1E3A, which was implemented Problem Posing learning model. The second experiment class was X TAV 1E3B, which was implemented Problem Solving learning model. The primary data was measured by post test based on basic competence of subject. Based on the t-test, complying the pre-requisite such as normality test, this research found that t>t0 (2,627 > 1,697). However, the result has shown that Problem Posing learning model was providing student’s learning outcome better than Problem Solving. Therefore, the Problem Posing learning model is better implemented than Problem Solving.Keywords: Problem Posing, Problem Solving, Learning Outcome.

Abstract

The purpose of this final project to produce humanoid robot that can perform Gending Sriwijaya dance movement by using speech recognition module. There is an asynchronization between the music accompaniment detection movement of humanoid robot on Gending Sriwijaya dance at Kontes Robot Seni Tari Indonesia 2017. Use of speech recognition moduls input system given the solution of the problem.System requirements were divided into hardware and software included robot acuator components suh as 25 servo motors, robot controllers such as CM-530 and Arduino Mega, EasyVR3 speech recognition module, battery. There three software used to complied humanoid robot. EasyVR Commander software for the detection and synchronization of voice input, Roboplus software for making movements on humanoid robot, Arduino IDE software for programming of humanoid robot movement control system. The design of this humanoid robot system is divided into 3 parts, input of the system is Gending Sriwijaya music which is detected by the speech recognition module, the controlling process of the system is Arduino Mega and CM-530, and the output of the system is the movement of humanoid robot which is formed from the combination of rotation Angle servo motor. The result of this final project is successfully working humanoid robot that can perform Gending Sriwijaya dance movement by using speech recognition module EasyVR3. Furthermore, has successfully worked the program of detection and synchronization of voice, program control system movement of humanoid robot in dance Gending Sriwijaya in the form of movement walkready, sembah buka, cubung bawah, cubung atas, silang, transisi berdiri ke duduk (sembah duduk), borobudur, transisi duduk ke berdiri (sembah diri), ukel benang , sembah tutup, dan jalan. Keywords: humanoid robot, speech recognition, Gending Sriwijaya dance

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Contribution of Learning Motivation and Utilization of Learning Facilities Against Basic Electrical and Electronic Learning Outcomes Grade X Students of Audio Video Engineering Skills Program at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. The population in this study amounted to 63 students. This type of research is correlational descriptive. In this study using Simple Random Sampling with a total of 56 students. Data Learning outcomes were obtained from Elementary and Electrical subject teachers at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. Meanwhile Motivation Learning Data and Learning Facilities Utilization obtained by using a questionnaire with a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data analysis showed: (1) Motivation to Learning and Utilization of Learning Facilities together contributed 36.24% to learning outcomes; (2) Learning Motivation contributes 7.95% to learning outcomes; (3) Utilization of Learning Facilities contributes 25.50% to learning outcomes. So it can be concluded that the motivation to learn and use learning facilities contributes to the learning outcomes of basic electricity and electronics at SMK Negeri 5 Padang.Keywords: Learning Motivation, Utilization of Learning Facilities, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop VR technology in learning in order to improve student learning outcomes in the Department of Electronic Engineering Education, Padang State University. The development carried out is to develop VR technology in the learning module in the Electronic Components course in order to improve student learning outcomes. The development method used is the 4D development method which consists of four steps including Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The results of this study indicate that virtual reality technology which was developed in the form of a learning module for the Electronic Components course is valid, practical and effective to improve student learning outcomes of the Department of Electronic Engineering Education, State University of PadangKeywords: Learning Outcomes, Virtual Reality
