Abstract

This study aims to examine the determinants of compliance of Indonesian tax payers i.e. tax audit, fine and ethical variables. This study proposes a hypothesis that tax compliance is not only affected by deterrence factors such as tax audit and tax fine but also affected by the behavioral aspect of tax payers i.e. their ethics. The effects of tax audit and tax fine on tax compliance depend on ethical standard. This study designs experiment of 2x2 between subjects to examine the hypotheses. The participants of this experimental study are 40 tax payers in Semarang City. The results of this study suggest that there is an interaction between tax fine and ethics variables that affect tax compliance. However, there is no an empirical evidence of an interaction between ethics and tax audit that affect the level of tax compliance.

Abstract

This research aims to get optimal chimneys height of double pots biomass stove. Optimal chimneys height needs to provide best performance of the stove. Experimental study was done by varied the chimney heights. Water boiling test as the standard method was used to obtained stove performance for each chimney height variation. The results showed that best performance stove was the one with 1.65 cm chimney height, with thermal efficiency at 37.66%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the process and evaluation of learning mathematics during the Covid-19 period at MAN 2 Langkat. This research is a qualitative research with research subjects, namely one teacher and one student. The data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation. Data analysis is categorized into three stages, namely reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that learning during the covid-19 pandemic at MAN 2 Langkat began with providing information by the teacher through the Watshapp group regarding learning time and materials to be discussed. After that the teacher directed the students to read and understand the materials. Learning is continued by using various applications such as zoom, Schoology, Edmodo, and Google Classroom. The assessment of student learning outcomes during the Covid-19 period was carried out covering only two aspects, namely cognitive and affective. For the cognitive assessment forms using daily tests, biweekly tests, midterm and end-of-semester tests. Meanwhile, my form of affective assessment refers to student attendance, diligence, discipline and learning participation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Brain based learning berbantuan LKPD yang dipadukan dengan mind maps terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Metode penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA N 1 Langsa tahun ajaran 2019 / 2020 yang berjumlah 71 orang, yang masing-masing di pilih dengan teknik purposive sampling, baik untuk kelas eksperimen maupun kelas kontrol. Adapun yang menjadi sampel yaitu siswa kelas X Mia 1 yang berjumlah 36 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas X Mia 2 yang berjumlah 35 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan 4 butir soal uraian pada materi perbandingan trigonemetri pada segitiga siku-siku. Adapun data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Uji Independet Samples Test berbantuan SPSS 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh nilai t sebesar 2,057 dengan sig (2-tailed) 0,043. Maka secara signifikan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh Model Brain based learning berbantuan LKPD berbasis mind maps terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Langsa.

Abstract

Sexual violence is not a new thing heard in the ears of the Indonesian people. Sexual violence is a serious form of crime that should be a serious concern for the government. The Commission on Violence Against Women notes that every two hours, there are 3 Indonesian women who experience sexual violence. This is what makes Indonesia in a state of emergency sexual violence. In fact, sexual violence is still common in Indonesia. The number of victim blaming that occurs in the community, tends to blame victims of sexual violence. Even though the facts show that the impact of sexual violence on victims is very serious and traumatic and can last a lifetime. The presence of a new Criminal Code and also a special law discussing sexual violence is expected to minimize cases of sexual violence that occur.
