<![CDATA[This research aims to help those trying to master the media and political power in Indonesia and use the media as a tool to build community system from the Dutch colonial rule to the independence era, particularly from 1999 to 2019. This study is about how the system formed the media under the political policy until it developed into a base media in Indonesia between the era of the Dutch conquest and the year 2019. To achieve the objective of the study, investigation has been made upon media as a factor that affects the formation of the base to control the freedom of the media by using the investigation approach on history through document analysis and deep interview. The finding shows that forming a base that controls the freedom of the media is based on a proses which is designed soberly to fit with the philosophy and the value which is practiced by the ruling leader, and became the base of the national media activist in Indonesia.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to see trends in Covid-19 studies related to the field of information science and literature published by domestic and foreign researchers. Using the literature study method by searching indexed documents on the portals of Google Scholar, GARUDA, ResearchGate and Sinta. This research found 34 scientific articles on the theme of Covid-19 related to the fields of information science and literature. 10 countries publish and publish overseas researchers. There are 7 topics studied, including library services and innovation in the Covid-19 era, librarians, librarian hopes for the Covid-19 period, virtual and literacy, Covid-19 information on library sites, library policies for Covid-19 and the future of libraries after Covid-19. In this study it can be ignored (1) there are not many fields of Information Science and libraries related to Covid-19, when compared to the disciplines of education, law and health. (2) Not all countries in the world have checked it. (3) Of the many domestic scientific journals in the field of Information Science and libraries, only 13 journals have published them. (3) Some domestic researchers conducted field studies and literature studies were more dominant. (4) On average, domestic researchers review library services. Interestingly, the services discussed were limited to university libraries and none of them studied school libraries.]]>

Metodologi berbasis literature terutama ditelusuri pada masing-masing website yang berjudul preservasi atau pelestarian. <![CDATA[This study aims to determine the development of news framing research in the Indonesian presidential election in 2005-2021. A total of 38 scientific works consisting of undergraduate thesis, master's thesis, and journals were analyzed using the principle of a systematic literature review. The analysis shows that there are more scientific research papers in the form of undergraduate thesis compared to journals and master's thesis. Research trends increased dramatically in 2017-2021, with more portal media studies than other media. Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki framing analysis models are commonly used. Many media take sides in reporting on presidential and vice-presidential candidates compared to neutral and balanced ones. The framing influencing factors of the Indonesian presidential election news are media ideology, the background of journalists and news editors, media routines, media organizations, extra media, selection of syntactic, script, thematic, and rhetorical structures of news, selection of sources, the role of media owners, background selection of sources.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the profile of student political literacy among student organizations PMII, HMI and KAMMI at UIN Sulthan Thaha Jambi. A qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews, observations and literature studies was carried out to obtain informant data from each student organization consisting of the General Chair, Deputy Chair of the advocacy section, Secretary General, Action Coordinator.This study shows that being an Islamic student activist is driven by personal internal factors such as a sense of conformity with the ideology and spirit of Islamic da'wah, personal self-awareness and a critical attitude. External factors such as the influence of seniors and a positive image of student organizations. Sources of student political information are conventional media, new media such as websites and social media, discussion forums and experts. The search for political information is driven by the need for political information, leadership spirit, political awareness and interest in understanding the good/bad world of politics. Evaluation of each political information is carried out by comparison of sources and discussion. Political information is useful for students to meet the information needs and discussion material of their peers. Synergy between students, higher education institutions and student organizations is an important factor in increasing political information literacy among students.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper discusses how teacher communication competence during the COVID-19 Pandemic, various policies, and the implementation of health protocols were carried out to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19, which currently has an impact on teachers who are required to teach online. Communication between teachers and students in the learning process is one of the important aspects that determine the important aspects that determine the quality of the learning process. The method of implementing service activities is carried out by the seminar method with the presentation of various materials. The results of this service activity for teachers require an effective parental communication seminar so that the results achieved are more leverage. Teachers who have received training should continue to be fostered so that the program runs continuously.]]>

<![CDATA[Indonesia and Malaysia are the two countries that come from a family of the Malay Archipelago. These two countries were born after a different colonial occupation namely the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. However, each country has a different press system and policy. This study aims to look at the main objectives of Indonesian and Malaysian press policy trough critical reviews of secondary data obtained from library research based on categories in two stages of newspaper development in pre and post-independence. This study found that, in Indonesia, in the pre-independence era, the main objectives of Indonesian press policy were to control security and public order, and abuse of the press, during the Japanese occupation as Preventive censorship, and Propaganda. In the Post-Independence, the main objectives policy of the press namely as Freedom of Press, support 'political manifesto' and Implementing the "Pancasila Press System". Meanwhile, In Malaysia, in the pre-independence era, the main objective of the policy press was as controlling the press as a medium of internal racial conflict among the Chinese in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur due to differences of support for the Chinese monarchy since 1911, and propaganda machinery. In Post-Independence, the main objective of the press is to control and maintain the political stability of the country and prevent racial riots due to political and economic crisis. This study concludes that the main objectives of the Indonesian and Malaysian Press Policy are made in accordance with the direction of the system and political policies of the ruling regime.]]>

<![CDATA[ABSTRACTThis study aims to diagnose the application of semiotic perspectives in various forms of information and literature study in Indonesia. Literature-based literature that discusses semiotics consists of scientific work in information and literature science in Indonesia. The implications include (1) seen from anytime semiotics began to be studied by library and information science scholars, (2) then what was the increase from year to year, (3) how the epistemological development of the development of semiotic theories in accordance with library science and Indonesia, (4) as well as from many semiotic theories, which are dominantly used as a framework. ABSTRAKKajian ini bertujuan untuk mengdiagnosa penerapan perspektif semiotika dalam berbagai bentuk kajian sain informasi dan kepustakaan di Indonesia. Metodologi berbasis literature terutama yang berhubungan kajian semiotika berupa karya ilmiah dalam Sain informasi dan kepustakaan di Indonesia. <![CDATA[Permasalahan Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI) saat ini semakin rumit, permasalahannya, karena sistem HKI semakin berkembang sehingga membutuhkan pemahaman detail tentang HKI. Pada akhirnya, permasalahan HKI tidak hanya berpengaruh di dalam negeri tapi juga memiliki pengaruh di luar negeri, hal ini dikarenakan HKI memiliki pengaruhi ekonomi, sosial , budaya dan hukum. Hak kekayaan intelektual merupakan benda yang tidak berwujud namun memiliki nilai ekonomi yang berpengaruh bagi masyarakat banyak. Umumnya, jika benda dapat terlihat maka memiliki objek yang jelas juga sehingga dapat dinilai, namun karena Hak Kekayaan Intelektual adalah benda tidak berwujud yang tidak terlihat dan tidak teraba, maka permasalahan timbul dalam menilainya sebagai objek hukum karena objek yang didapatkan hanyalah berupa ‘hak’. Permasalahan tidak terhenti disitu saja, dimana HKI juga menjadi alat penghalang inovasi, menghilangkan pencipta karya, mempertahankan serta memiliki indikasi pencemaran nama baik, yang mana keseluruhan tergantung pada pemahaman tentang sistem hukum HKI di Indonesia dan secara universal, karena kasus-kasus HKI akan dipelajari sebagai bahan penerapan sistem hukum bisnis di berbagai Negara. ]]>

<![CDATA[Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi khususnya media sosial berdampak kepada budaya komunikasi hubungan masyarakat pemerintah. Tujuan program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) adalah upaya peningkatan sumber daya manusia bidang komunikasi hubungan masyarakat (humas) pemerintahan berbasis teknologi komunikasi bagi aparat pemerintah kelurahan dan kepenghuluan di kecamatan Rantau Kopar, Kabupaten Rokan Hilir. Kegiatan PKM bertempat di Aula Kantor Camat Rantau Kopar dengan peserta sebanyak 25 orang yang terdiri dari lurah, datuk penghulu, sekretaris kelurahan, sekretaris kepenghuluan, para kasi, kepala urusan dan staf berasal dari unsur aparat pemerintahan kelurahan Rantau Kopar, kelurahan Sungai Rangau, kepenghuluan Bagan Cempedak dan Kepenghuluan Sekapas. Kegiatan PKM dilaksanakan dengan metode penyuluhan berupa penyampaian materi oleh narasumber dan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya-jawab secara interaktif dengan para peserta PKM. Hasil kegiatan PKM yaitu adanya peningkatan kualitas pemahaman dan pemanfaatan teknologi komunikasi berbasis media sosial oleh aparat pemerintahan kelurahan dan kepenghuluan dalam hal komunikasi hubungan masyarakat bagi meningkatkan kualitas layanan masyarakat.]]>
