Abstract

Disaster information is an important factor in disaster management efforts, including in West Java. It helps officers and the community to immediately anticipate disasters that may occur. Journalists are among those who play a role in disseminating disaster information. This study aims to describe disaster information cycle model of West Java television journalists in obtaining and disseminating disaster information with the help of technology to increase the speed. This research applies a qualitative method, namely a case study to describe a usage model of disaster information seeking which is uniquely influenced by the developments in information technology. Data collection is carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study finds that smartphone technology contributes to the dissemination of disaster information by television journalists through providing access to social media, online media, and information in group chats. There is an interrelated flow of information between journalists, television editors, local governments, officials and the community. Participation of public and journalists in obtaining and disseminating disaster information helps the government and officers to find out the real conditions of disaster locations and how to handle them.

Abstract

Therapeutic communication basically aims to develop oneself and state of mind in order to lead to be more positive. This article is a qualitative research report that examines the role of narrative interaction and goodly model of parents as a form of therapeutic communication within Muslim families. The results have showed that storytelling and exemplary techniques in the sense of pleasant interpersonal communication can be used to foster the healing process and create a healthy lifestyle in the family. These techniques can keep children in a more positive state of mind, including through giving suggestions and strengthening Islamic spiritual values. This can be conducted by a clear understanding regarding the character of the child's communication, followed by seting the narrative technique and goodly model that parents must take.

Abstract

Abstrack. The development of communication and information media has changed the world of journalism. Now not only journalists or reporters can report an event, but every citizen can do it too. This is known as citizen journalism. The presence of citizen journalism can help the media in providing wider information to the public. Citizen Journalism in Indonesia is growing rapidly when online media begins to grow. Tabaos.id is an online media that creates a forum for citizen journalism with a focus on various events or facts that occur in eastern Indonesia, especially regarding environmental issues. This study aims to determine how affiliations, expressions, collaborative problem solving, and Tabaos.id circulations apply in the application of citizen journalism-based environmental reporting. This research was conducted using a qualitative research method with the case study approach of Robert K. Yin. Researchers use participatory culture as the main theory to answer research questions. The results showed that: (1) Affiliations used by Tabaos.id were membership in social media from citizen journalism. Of the six news stories on environmental issues studied, the researchers saw the tendency of citizen journalism in Tabaos.id affiliates to actively use Facebook media channels to send or report news. Facebook Messenger came in second and Whatsapp third. (2) Of the six news stories studied, the written expression expressed by citizen journalism leads to advocacy and education with multi-variative issues. Not optimal reporting on environmental issues made by citizen journalism on Tabaos.id in the form of participatory aspects of expressions to produce creative and innovative content. (3) Based on collaborative problem solving, Tabaos.id collaborates with NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations). (4) Based on circulations Tabaos.id is included in the news portal. Abstrak. Perkembangan media komunikasi dan informasi membuat dunia jurnalistik mengalami perubahan. Kini bukan hanya wartawan atau reporter saja yang dapat melaporkan suatu peristiwa, tetapi setiap warga juga dapat melakukannya. Hal ini disebut sebagai citizen journalism. Kehadiran citizen journalism dapat membantu media dalam memberikan informasi yang lebih luas untuk masyarakat. Citizen Journalism di Indonesia semakin berkembang pesat ketika media-media online mulai tumbuh. Tabaos.id hadir sebagai media online yang membuat wadah untuk para citizen journalism dengan fokus pada berbagai peristiwa atau fakta yang terjadi di kawasan timur Indonesia khususnya mengenai isu lingkungan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana affiliations, expressions, collaborative problem solving, dan circulations Tabaos.id dalam penerapan pemberitaan lingkungan hidup berbasis citizen journalism. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus Robert K. Yin. Peneliti menggunakan participatory culture sebagai teori utama untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Affiliations yang digunakan oleh Tabaos.id yaitu keanggotaan dalam media sosial dari citizen journalism. Dari enam berita mengenai isu lingkungan hidup yang diteliti, peneliti melihat kecenderungan jurnalisme warga dalam affiliations Tabaos.id paling aktif menggunakan saluran media Facebook untuk mengirim atau melaporkan sebuah berita. Facebook Messenger berada di urutan kedua dan Whatsapp ketiga. (2) Dari keenam berita yang diteliti, ekspresi tulisan yang diungkapkan oleh jurnalisme warga mengarah ke advokasi dan edukasi dengan isu multi variatif. Belum optimalnya pemberitaan mengenai isu lingkungan hidup yang dibuat oleh citizen journalism di Tabaos.id ke dalam bentuk partisipatori aspek expressions untuk menghasilkan konten kreatif dan inovatif. (3) Berdasarkan collaborative problem solving Tabaos.id melakukan kolaborasi dengan LSM (Lembaga Swadaya Masyarakat). (4) Berdasarkan circulations Tabaos.id termasuk ke dalam portal berita.

Abstract

Abstract. The development of information technology and the covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, the development of online information media during this pandemic made the media share information quickly and informatively with different characteristics from one another. Merdeka.com is an online media which is one of the media that comes from the infotainment media which contains articles, namely Kapanlagi.com, therefore news about reporting on the independent isolation facilities for members of the House of Representatives charged to the State can easily attract readers with very interesting titles. The personality of the Bandung City Journalism Student caused a variety of receptions after reading merdeka.com. The methodology in this study is qualitative with a Stuart Hall reception analysis approach. The theory used is Stuart Hall's theory of meaning. The results of this study indicate that the reception that emerged from the Bandung City Journalism Students after reading about the news about the independent isolation facilities for members of the DPR was charged to the State at merdeka.com, five informants. Agreed that the news on merdeka.com is factual and balanced as a result of the reception of informants on merdeka.com news. five informants. The hypothetical position of the five informants, in reading the news regarding the reporting of luxury independent facilities, is charged by the state, including three informants in a dominant position and two informants in a negotiating position, while no informants are in an opposition position. Abstrak. Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan pandemic covid-19 di Indonesia, perkemanbangan media informasi online saat pandemic ini membuat media berbagi informasi dengan cepat dan informatif dengan ciri khas yang berbeda dengan satu sama lain. Merdeka.com merupaka media online yang merupakan salah satu media yang berasal dari media infotaiment yang berisi artikelyaitu kapanlagi.com maka dari itu pemberitaan mengenai pemberitaan fasilitas isolasi manadiri anggota DPR dibebankan kepada Negara bisa mudah menjaring pembaca dengan judul yang sangat menarik Banyaknya pemikiran, pengetahuan dan kepribadian dari Mahasiswa Jurnalistik Kota Bandung menimbulkan resepsi yang muncul beragam ketika sesudah membaca merdeka.com. Metodelogi pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan analasis resepsi Stuart Hall. Teori yang digunakaan adalah teori pemaknaan Stuart Hall. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa resepsi yang muncul dari Mahasiswa Jurnalistik Kota Bandung sesudah membaca mengenai pemberitaan fasilitas isolasi manadiri anggota DPR dibebankan kepada Negara di merdeka.com lima informan. Sepakat bahwa pemberitaan di merdeka.com merupakan pemberitaan yang faktual dan juga berimbang hasil dari resepsi para informan pada pemberitaan merdeka.com. lima informan. Posisi hipotekal lima informan, dalam membaca pemberitaan mengenai pemberitaan fasiltas mandiri mewah dibebankan negara diantaranya tiga informan berada pada posisi dominan dan dua informan pada posisi negosiasi sedangkan tidak ada informan yang berada pada posisi oposisi.
