Abstract

Research on the translation of Lampung language text dialect of Nyo into Indonesian is done with two approaches, namely Direct Machine Translation (DMT) and Statistical Machine Translation (SMT). This research experiment was conducted as a preliminary effort in helping students immigrants in the province of Lampung, translating the Lampung language dialect of Nyo through prototypes or models was built. In the DMT approach, the dictionary is used as the primary tool. In contrast, in SMT, the parallel corpus of Lampung Nyo and Indonesian language is used to make language models and translation models using Moses Decoder. The result of text translation accuracy with the DMT approach is 39.32%, and for the SMT approach is 59.85%. Both approaches use Bilingual Evaluation Understudy (BLEU) assessment.

Abstract

The problem of this research is how to develop a learning scenario by usin discovery learning model to the seventh grade students of Junior High School. The method that is used in this reasearch is R and D (Reasearch and Development) which reffered to Borg and Gall. They states that the development procedures use five stages, namely collecting information, design design, design validity, design revision, and final product. The results of this research and development are in the form of narrative text learning scenarios using discovery learning models for seventh grade junior high school students who have been declared fit for use by material experts with a percentage of 78% with very feasible categories, the feasibility aspect of the presentation obtains a 75% percentage with the proper category and feasibility aspects language percentage of 75% with a decent category. Masalah dalam penelitian ini ialah bagaimanakah pengembangan  skenario pembelajaran menggunakan model discovery learning untuk siswa SMP kelas VII. Tujuan Penelitian ini ialah menghasilkan sebuah produk berupa skenario pembelajaran menggunakan model discovery learning untuk materi teks narasi di SMP. Metode dalam penelitian ini ialah  Research and Development (RD) mengacu prosedur pengembangan Borg dan Gall dengan menggunakan lima tahap, yaitu pengumpulan informasi, perancangan desain, validitas desain, revisi desain, dan produk akhir.  Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan ini berupa sebuah skenario pembelajaran teks narasi menggunakan model discovery learning untuk siswa SMP kelas VII yang telah dinyatakan layak digunakan oleh ahli materi dengan presentase 78% dengan kategori sangat layak, aspek kelayakan penyajian memperoleh presentase 75% dengan kategori layak dan aspek kelayakan bahasa presentase 75% dengan kategori layak. Keywords: narrative text learning scenarios, discovery learning models, SMP

Abstract

This research aims at capturing and characterizing clause complexes in Lampung language by considering the structure and conjunction. Here, it focuses on paratactic configuration. A Lampung paratactic configuration consists of two or more independent clauses and is also recognized by the presence of conjunction and punctuation. The conjunction bridges two or more clauses in clause complexes and signs a relation between and among those clauses. There are six conjunctions found; those are ‘ghik’, ‘kidang’, ‘tapi’, ‘sedengko’, ‘jadi’, and ‘bahko’. Regarding how those conjunctions relate clauses, this research found four types of relation; those are additional relation realized by ‘ghik’ and ‘bahko’, comparative and contrastive relation performed by ‘kidang’, ‘tapi’, ‘sedengko’ and then consequential relation shown by ‘jadi’. Other than conjunction, the punctuation is also found to connect clauses; it is comma. It is noteworthy that comma connects two independent clauses and semantically construes additional relation since comma is found in configuration of two clauses in which a clause adds more detail information or more explanation for another one. Besides, comma is also found in a paratactic configuration consisting of three clauses, here it is configured with a conjunction such as ‘ghik’. Furthermore, this research also found four variants of paratactic configuration; those are Independent clause - conjunction - Independent clause; Independent clause - conjunction - Independent clause + dependent clause; Independent clause + Dependent cause - conjunction - Independent clause; Independent clause + Dependent clause - conjunction - Independent clause + Dependent clause.

Abstract

Experimental observations of the effect of the number of parallel corpus on Indonesian translation into the Lampung dialect api were carried out using the statistical machine translation (SMT) method. SMT utilizes a parallel Indonesian corpus and its translation in the Lampung dialect api as a material for training data. The research strategy was carried out in three ways, namely first strategy with a corpus parallel number of 1000 sentences, the second strategy with a corpus parallel number of 2000 and the third strategy with a corpus parallel number of 3000 sentences. The research starts from the preprocessing phase followed by the training phase, namely the parallel corpus processing phase to obtain a language model and translation model. Then the testing phase, and ends with the evaluation phase. SMT testing uses 25 single sentences without out-of-vocabulary (OOV), 25 single sentences with OOV, 25 compound sentences without OOV and 25 compound sentences with OOV. The test results of translating Indonesian sentences intoLampung dialectic api are shown through the accuracy value of Bilingual Evaluation Undestudy (BLEU) obtained in testing 25 single sentences without out-of-vocabulary (OOV) in the first strategy, the second and the third are 21.49%, 59.58% and 73.21%. In testing 25 single sentences with out-of-vocabulary (OOV) obtained in the first strategy, the second and the third are 23.22%, 44.33% and 68.72%. In testing 25 compound sentences without out-of-vocabulary(OOV) obtained in the first strategy, the second and the third are 18.22%, 39.4% and 69.18%. In testing 25 compound sentences with out-of-vocabulary (OOV) obtained in the first strategy, the second and the third are 25.94%, 28.22% and 71.94%.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas secara morfologis proses distribusi verba berprefiks {N-} pada verba bahasa Lampung dalam kitab Kuntara Raja Niti dan buku ajar. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dalam pembahasannya, data yang berisi verba berprefiks {N-} yang ditemukan pada kitab Kuntara Raja Niti dan buku ajar dikumpulkan dan kemudian pendistribusiannya dianalisis secara morfologis. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan dua jenis pendistribusian bentuk verba berprefiks {N-}, yaitu berupa verba infleksional dan verba derivasional. Verba infleksional adalah bentukan verba yang berasal dari dasar yang juga berkategori verba. Sementara itu, verba derivasional adalah bentukan verba yang diperoleh dari dasar yang berkategori selain verba. Verba infleksional ini sangat produktif pada bahasa Lampung dan ditemukan pada seluruh verba berprefiks {N-}. Selain itu, ditemukan lima buah kategori pembentuk verba derivasional, yaitu nomina, adjektiva, adverbia, pronomina, dan numeralia yang diperoleh dari kitab Kuntara Raja Niti dan buku ajar.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the values of character education in the Kiamat Keratuan Darah Putih dance by knowing the meaning of the various movements in the dance. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The object of this research is the variety of movements of the Kiamat Keratuan Darah Putih dance in Kuripan village, South Lampung. The data sources in the study are the results of observing the variety of dance movements of the Apocalypse through videos and other documents that contain the analysis of the research conducted. Data analysis techniques include analysis, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of research on the variety of dance movements of the Apocalypse show that this dance has character education values which are described in several varieties of dance movements of the Apocalypse. The variety of movements includes worship and kenui drift, the character education values contained in Kiamat dance can include, 1) Religious values, 2) Responsibility values, 3) Hard work values, 4) Discipline values, and 5) Communicative values.Keywords: character education values, Kiamat Keratuan Darah Putih dance

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan salah satu upaya dalam mengembangkan dan melestarikan sastra lisan Lampung khususnya pepancokh. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah muli mekhanai Desa Negeri Sakti mampu mengolah, mengembangkan, dan mengekspresikan sastra lisan Lampung pepancokh menjadi seni pertunjukan yang menarik dan bernilai. Hasil yang diharapkan melalui pengabdian ini adalah muli mekhanai mampu mengembangkan dan melestarikan sastra lisan Lampung pepancokh. Selanjutnya, pelatihan ini menerapkan pelatihan aktif yakni seluruh peserta bereksplorasi melalui pengalamannya sehingga tujuan dapat diperoleh secara optimal. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi, demonstrasi, dan evaluasi. Peserta pelatihan ini sebanyak 25 orang yang tergabung dalam Muli Mekhanai Desa Negeri Sakti. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini diukur dari proses dan hasil pelatihan. Keberhasilan proses diukur dengan melakukan observasi terhadap beberapa aspek diantaranya keaktifan, ketekunan, kerjasama, dan tanggung jawab. Evaluasi terhadap hasil kegiatan diukur berdasarkan berdasarkan penguasaan materi pelatihan baik yang meliputi konsep maupun praktik sastra lisan sebagai bagian dari seni tradisi masyarakat.   Community service is one of the efforts in developing and preserving Lampung oral literature, especially pepancokh. The purpose of this service is that muli mekhanai Desa Negeri Sakti can process, design, and express Lampung pepancokh oral literature into exciting and valuable performing arts. The expected result through this service is that muli mekhanai can develop and preserve Lampung pepancokh oral literature. Furthermore, this training applies active training in which all participants explore their experiences to obtain goals optimally. The method used is lecture, question and answer, discussion, demonstration, and evaluation. The participants of this training are 25 members of the Muli Mekhanai, Negeri Sakti Village. The success of this activity is measured by the process and results of the movement. The success of the process is measured by observing several aspects, including activeness, perseverance, cooperation, and responsibility. Evaluation of the results of the activities is measured based on the mastery of the training material, which includes the concept and practice of oral literature as part of the traditional arts of the community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan konjungsi dalam teks pidato persuasif karya peserta didik kelas IX di MTsN 1 Pesawaran Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini didesain menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik tes. Setelah data terkumpul, data diidentifikasi sesuai jenis konjungsi. Kemudian, dianalisis ketepatan dan ketidaktepatan penggunaan konjungsinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 232 konjungsi dengan 193 data penggunaan konjungsi yang tepat dan 39 data penggunaan konjungsi yang tidak tepat. Data konjungsi tersebut diidentifikasi berdasarkan empat jenis konjungsi. Pertama, konjungsi koordinatif ditemukan sebanyak 109 data dengan 88 data penggunaan konjungsi yang tepat dan 21 data penggunaan konjungsi yang tidak tepat. Kedua, konjungsi subordinatif ditemukan sebanyak 93 data dengan 81 data penggunaan konjungsi yang tepat dan 12 data penggunaan konjungsi yang tidak tepat. Ketiga, konjungsi korelatif ditemukan sebanyak 2 data dengan 1 data penggunaan konjungsi yang tepat dan 1 data penggunaan konjungsi yang tidak tepat. Keempat, konjungsi antarkalimat ditemukan sebanyak 28 data dengan 23 data penggunaan konjungsi yang tepat dan 5 data penggunaan konjungsi yang tidak tepat.

Abstract

In the Saibatin Marga Pugung community, there are traditions and ways to preserve Lampung culture. They use the momentum of Eid as a place to apologize en masse and introduce Lampung culture to the wider community. This tradition is called Kekiceran. The Kekiceran tradition is a cultural art performance performed by muli mekhanai for generations in order to enliven Eid Al-Fitr. This tradition is very strange for people who do not know clearly how the implementation of  Kekiceran. In this tradition, of course, there are local wisdom values that we can find. In this study, the author conducted research on the Lampung Saibatin community of Pugung Tampak Clan, North Pesisir District, West Pesisir Regency, Lampung Province. The method used in this research is descriptive method using qualitative data analysis techniques. While the data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Kekiceran tradition is still well implemented and deserves to be known by the wider community because this tradition has functions and uses in order to maintain the original culture of Indonesia, especially Lampung culture. The value of local wisdom contained in it includes 6 aspects, namely religious values, aesthetic values, economic values, educational values, historical values and mutual cooperation values. To find out this tradition can be seen from the implementation process. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Kekiceran tradition is still carried out today and has three stages in the implementation process, namely the planning stage, the implementation stage and the closing stage and there are also local wisdom values that are owned that must be known by the community.Keywords: Kekiceran, local wisdom, Saibatin Marga Pugung

Abstract

The preservation of Lampung language is seen from the teak-speaking community, which uses its language when communicating with other teak speakers. The preservation of Lampung language can be done in the realm of education so that the younger generation does not experience language shift from an early age. An important element in preparing the future of the nation by teaching its young generation, learning from elementary school to the upper secondary level in accordance with Pergub number 39 of 2014. Lampung ethnic community based on its division, consisting of Saibatin community and Pepadun community, some areas are formulated by Dr. Van royen, divided into two dialects, namely dialect A and dialect O. Lampung language preservation, in the community the percentage is more often found using dialect A because it is used to communicate in everyday life. The preservation of Lampung language, in the realm of formal education, is carried out using dialect A. This happens because 75% of Lampung language teaching staff from elementary to high schools are more proficient in dialect A. Apart from the classification of dialects formulated by Dr. Van royen, Lampung language existence in the world of education has opened bachelor and master programs at A accredited universities in Lampung province, producing young people who participate in preserving Lampung language and culture in the future. Keyword: language preservation, language dialects, Lampung language
