Abstract

Anak adalah titipan dari Tuhan yang diberikan kepada suatu keluarga. Keluarga harus memberikan kasih sayang dan pendidikan yang baik untuk anak. Orangtua mempunyai peranan penting dalam pembentukan kepribadian maupun perkembangan anak. Tindakan orangtua dalam memberikan kasih sayang dan pendidikan tentang nilai-nilai kehidupan  agama maupun sosial budaya yang diberikan, merupakan perlakuan yang tepat untuk mempersiapkan anak menjadi pribadi yang baik. Orangtua berperan sebagai guru pertama bagi anak. Cara berpikir dan tingkah laku anak dipengaruhi oleh didikan orangtua yang akan membentuk kepribadian anak. Kenyataannya ditemukan persoalan keluarga antara anak dan orangtua. Salah satunya sikap over protective orangtua terhadap anak. Over protective merupakan bentuk perlindungan yang berlebihan yang diberikan kepada anak. Sebenarnya orangtua bersikap seperti itu karena sangat menyayangi dan takut jika anaknya terjadi hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan, tetapi sikap orangtua tersebut terkadang salah diartikan oleh anak sehingga anak merasa terbebani dan dapat memperngaruhi perkembangan.

Abstract

Adolescence is a period where individuals have high emotional tension, especially social pressure and new conditions. Therefore, teenagers often find it difficult to adjust to the environment and the problems that occur to them. Difficulties in adjustment experienced by adolescents are influenced by several factors, one of which is emotional maturity. Adolescents are said to have reached emotional maturity if they do not explode their emotions in front of others, assess the situation critically, display appropriate reactions according to the situation in their social environment. Adolescents who master emotions well can control themselves over their environment so that they are able to adapt to existing conditions. The purpose of this study is to describe the condition of emotional maturity and adolescent adjustment. The sample in this study was 241 students from SMAN 4 Padang. Sampling using Statified Random Sampling technique. The findings of this study are, emotional maturity in the high category, adolescent self-adjustment in the high category, there is a significant positive relationship between emotional maturity and adolescent self-adjustment

Abstract

This article discusses the use of infrastructure as a support for improving counseling activities in schools. The utilization of school infrastructure, especially guidance and counseling, is often not given proper attention. So that the implementation of guidance and counseling is difficult to run optimally. For this reason, it is necessary to utilize guidance and counseling infrastructure to encourage the implementation of guidance and counseling so that they can run effectively. The purpose of writing this article is to find out how infrastructure can improve guidance and counseling services in schools. The method used in writing this article is a literature study. The results of the discussion in this article are that the utilization of infrastructure can be carried out by paying attention to standards related to infrastructure that must be completed in the guidance and counseling room and forming strategies in infrastructure management.
