Abstract

The purpose of this classroom aaction research was to describe application of cooperative learning teams games tournament type assisted Lectora to improve motivation and learning outcomes insocial studies elementary school. Subject were fourth grade student in SD N Tukangan Yogyakarta. Result found application of the cooperative learning type teams games tournament type assisted Lectora improves motivation and learning outcomes in social studies elementary school.

Abstract

Problems that occur in the implementation of 2013 Curriculum is the lack of understanding in the learning process assessment and learning outcomes. The concept of thorough learning takes longer time, it also requires teachers understanding to the ability of the student individually. Teachers also do not fully understand the concept of authentic and continuous assessment. The aim of this study is to improve the classroom teachers’ understanding toward authentic assessment with training model based on participants’ activeness. This research used Classroom Action Research approach with two cycles. The techniques of collecting data are questionnaires (self-assessment), interviews, and portfolios. The data were analyzed using triangulation with consideration to the three types of data. The result showed an improvement in the teachers understanding on authentic assessment. This is indicated by the improvement of the average from pretest to posttest in the cycle 1 is 9.25 and cycle 1 to cycle 2 is 13.19.

Abstract

Multicultural education is still very foreign to elementary school teachers and students. Need innovation in introducing multicultural education to elementary school students through educational story book. The aims of this study are: 1) developing educational story book based on tolerance character, 2) knowing the feasibility of the educational story book based on experts’ judgment, 3) knowing the responses of teachers and students after using educational story book. The development procedure adopted Borg and Gall model. Data collection techniques were questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis techniques was descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis of interactive model. Small group trial subject used six students in the 5th grade of Wirosaban Elementary School. While the large group trial used 20 students in the 5th grade of Pakel Elementary School. The results of the study are educational story book with the title "Berbeda tapi Sama (Divers but the Same)". The mean score of the experts’ assessment are from the learning material is 86,53, language expert is 87,5, and media expert is 88,33. The teacher response in the small group trial is 98,33 and the students’ response  is 99,58. The teacher's response in the large group trial is 81,66 and the students response is 97,87. All assessments from experts, teachers, and students are in a very good category. It can be concluded that educational story book with the title "Berbeda tapi Sama " is very feasible to be used to introduce multicultural education in elementary school students.

Abstract

Learning will be memorable if students practice directly about the material being studied, but also the activity of students greatly affect their ability to absorb the material. With active students practice directly about the material being studied can help teachers in delivering the material being studied, especially on materials that are full of memorization as in the social studies in elementary school. For that new innovation is needed in the learning activities that are able to support students' activities in the learning process. This study aims to determine the steps of development of portfolio assessment and to determine the appropriateness of applying portfolio assessment to support student activeness in IPS learning. This research is a type of research development (R & D). The procedure is to conduct preliminary study to know the potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product test, product trial revision. Portfolio assessment instruments are validated by expert testers, ie evaluation experts, materials experts and learning specialists. This research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah Kalangan in May 2017. The data collection instrument was done with expert validation, observation sheet, and student response sheet. In this research, data analysis is done with qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that in terms of quality portfolio assessment included in the category of very good, which is suitable to be used as application of learning. The results obtained from the validation of the expert evaluation obtained a value of 68.75 with good category, the results of the material experts obtained a value of 77.78 with good category, and the results of the expert learning obtained a value of 100 with very good category. The result of the test based on the students' appraisal was obtained by 90.27 with very good category, from the observer scores obtained the value of 81.25 with very good category..

Abstract

This study is research and development adopting Borg & Gall model. The aim ofthis study is to develop of teaching materials based on learning cycle model and thefeasibility of teaching materials. This first year development is limited to three stages:1) the preliminary study and information collection, 2) planning, 3) the initial productdevelopment and validation by experts. The research instrument used was validationsheet, questionnaire sheet, and observation sheet. The data was analyzed by descriptivestatistics technique. The results of the study are: 1) the developed product is module ofSocial Science learning material based on learning cycle on the subject of naturalphenomena and that mitigation, 2) validation by experts showed that the developedteaching material module is very feasible to be used for lectures in Social ScienceLearning Materials in Elementary School so that it could support the professionalcompetence of the college students of Elementary School Education Department, UAD.Keywords: teaching material, learning cycle, professional competence.

Abstract

Sebagai calon guru, mahasiswa PGSD diharapkan memiliki kompetensi yang tinggi, salah satunya yaitu kompetensi profesional yang ditunjukkan dari pemahaman konsep dan teori. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi professional mahasiswa PGSD UAD khususnya pada mata kuliah Materi Pembelajaran IPS SD, dengan menggunakan bahan ajar IPS berbasis learning cycle. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang dilakukan secara partisipatif. Berlangsung dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, serta refleksi dan evaluasi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, tes hasil belajar, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah kualtatif berupa penjabaran secara deskriptif serta dengan analisis kuantitatif dengan bantuan excel untuk mengukur peningkatan kompetensi dan untuk mengukur validitas dan relibilitas instrument dilakukan melalui FGD. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa model pembelajaran learning cycle dapat meningkatkan kompetensi profesionalisme mahasiswa PGSD UAD. Hal ini ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar saat pre test dari yang semula hanya 38,5 kemudian meningkat menjadi 76.9 pada post test siklus I dan meningkat lagi menjadi 89.5 pada post test siklus II.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujan untuk mengetahui prosedur pengembangan dan kelayakan dari media pembelajaran Kayaku (Kayanya Alam Negeriku) berbasis STEM. Produk yang dikembangkan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan literasi dasar peserta didik kelas IV sekolah dasar pada tema 9 subtema 2 pembelajaran 1. Penelitian pengembangan yang digunkanadalah Research and Development (RnD) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Hasil penilaian yag didapat dari uji validasi ahli memperoleh rerata 92,80. Hasil yang diperoleh dari respon guru mendapat rerata 80. Adapun yang dihasilkan dari penilaian peserta didik yaitu uji coba kelompok kecil memperoleh rerata 93,33 dan uji coba kelompok besar memperoleh rerata 90,74. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari penilaian uji validasi ahli serta uji coba lapangan yaitu guru dan peserta didik memperoleh rerata 88,28. Apabila dianalisis menggunakan data kuantitas, maka media kayaku berbasis STEM menunjukkan bahwa media dikategorikan sangat layak digunakan sebagai media dalam proses pembelajaran. Apabila dianalisis menggunakan data kualitatif, maka media kayaku berbasis STEM menunjukkan bahwa media menumbuhkan motivasi belajar bagi peserta didik, melatih membaca dan pemahaman peserta didik, serta menumbuhkan inovasi bagi guru.

Abstract

Program ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan guru dalam diagnostik kesulitan belajar (DKB) dan meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam diagnostik kesulitan belajar (DKB). Program ini terdiri dari 2 tahapan yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan. Adapun metodenya adalah metode ceramah, diskusi, praktik, dan self and group reflection. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan intervensi kesulitan belajar. Proses intervensi diawali dari Identifikasi jenis gaya belajar, identifikasi jenis/faktor kesulitan belajar siswa, perencanaan (penyusunan program, penyusunan instrumen), pelaksanaan (intervensi langsung, melalui media, melalui metode, tutor sebaya, pelibatan orang tua, remidial, dan pengayaan), serta evaluasi dan tindak lanjut.

Abstract

The background of this research is fact in the field regarding low knowledge of the community about disaster mitigation. Besides, there is no knowledge material presentation about volcano eruption disaster mitigation that routinely scheduled at schools in disaster prone areas. A media is needed to deliver knowledge material about mitigation and can be integrated in learning. This research aims to develop and determine the feasibility of picture story books about volcano eruption disaster mitigation for elementary school students in disaster prone areas. This is a Research and Development which carried out eight stages. The result of the assessments from the media expert is 85.33 (very good), material expert is 89.6 (very good), language expert is 76 (good), product test is 95.08 (very good), and application test is 88.66 (very good). All assessments average score is 86.93 converted into qualitative data is in the category of "Very Good".

Abstract

Memperhatikan kondisi alam dan perkembangan era yang tidak signifikan perubahannya berdampak pada aktivitas siswa. Begitu juga dampak pandemi covid-19 yang masih dirasakan oleh sebagian besar siswa yang mengikuti distance learning. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah banyaknya gangguan yang dihadapi oleh para siswa di luar jadwal sekolah sehingga siswa membutuhkan self-management yang baik. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk dapat meningkatkan self-management siswa melalui pendampingan dalam penyusunan goal setting dan time management. Metode pemecahan yang dilakukan dengan cara memberikan materi, praktik penyusunan, dan pendampingan siswa. Hasil temuan saintifik pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah terkait dua komponen yaitu goal setting dan time management. Goal setting siswa terdiri dari empat komponen yaitu behavior, spirit, commtiment, dan progress. Sedangkan time management meliputi to do list, prioritize, dan self-evaluation. Simpulan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pentingnya pemahaman siswa terkait temuan tersebut sehingga dapat dipraktikkan kedalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan pada akhirnya dapat meningkatkan kemampuan diri dalam mencapi prestasi belajar.
