Abstract

Innovative work behavior shown by employee activities that generate ideas, promote ideas, and implement ideas is very useful for organizational sustainability. This research seeks to improve innovative work behavior by analyzing the contribution of self-efficacy and organizational climate to ionovative work behavior. The research was conducted on non-permanent instructors at PT PLN (Persero) Pusdiklat with samples 149. Hypothesis testing uses parametric statistical analysis and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) method. The findings of this research: (1) If self-efficacy increases, innovative work behavior will increase; (2) if the organizational climate increases, innovative work behavior will increase; (3) If self-efficacy and organizational climate increase together, innovative work behavior will increase. Based on the RCA  (Root Cause Analysis) method, several priority indicators were found to improve innovative work behavior, namely: forming an innovation team, assigning internships / benchmarks, budgeting for awards, K3L training, creating Knowledge Capturing books, recruiting K3L HR, and book review.

Abstract

Valid and reliable information regarding teacher leadership behavior in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic is very important. This study aims to find a reliable research instrument on teacher leadership in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic and at the same time recommend important findings for improving teacher leadership behavior. The study began with a theoretical study to obtain content validity, continued with expert validity, readability trials, and finally distributed the instrument via online. Analysis of research data using the Rasch model with 6 tests. The research data comes from 1200 teachers in Indonesia. The findings are: (1) recommended 10 items of instruments for research on teacher leadership behavior in the era of the covid 19 pandemic, (2) recommended 4 important findings to improve the condition of teacher leadership behavior, namely: (i) reflection skill, (ii) collaboration and communication, (iii) learning technology, and (iv) learning community.

Abstract

This research aims to get a research instrument, namely quality service lecturer at private university. The research method used mixed methods consists of literature reviews, interviews with students, expert validation, and a test use Rasch modeling. Literature review is carried out to obtain a description of the service quality according to the developing theory. Interviews with students aim to obtain items of review that fit the research context. Expert validation aims to obtain content validity. Collecting data through a questionnaire instrument containing 32 items. The number of respondents was 543 students at Pakuan University. The finding that 31 items of valid lecturer service quality instrument and one (1) item that is invalid must be discarded; This lecturer service quality instrument is very reliable because it has a reliability value above 0.9, both in terms of people reliability, alpha cronbach and item reliability. However, based on the item difficulty level test using item measure, item dimensionality and variable map, and Item: DIF test found several items that must be corrected.

Abstract

Kepuasan kerja dan kepemimpinan pendidikan merupakan 2 variabel penting dalam pencapaian tujuan pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif asosiatif, pengumpulan datanya dengan instrumen angket yang disisi oleh guru-guru di wilayah domisili Bogor, Jawa Barat, berjumlah 80 orang. Analisis data menggunakan statistif deskriptif dan inferensial. Temuan penelitian ini sebagai berikut:  (1) Persepsi guru laki-laki atas beberapa indicator kepuasan kerja guru lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan guru perempuan. Persepsi guru negeri atas beberapa indicator kepuasan kerja guru lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan guru swasta. Semua indicator  ketidakpuasan kerja guru terdapat pada guru sekolah dasar; (2) Persepsi guru laki-laki atas beberapa indicator kepemimpinan pendidikan lebih rendah dari guru perempuan. Persepsi guru sekolah swata atas beberapa indicator kepemimpinan pendidikan lebih rendah dari guru negeri. Sedangkan persepsi guru sekolah dasar atas semua indicator kepemimpinan rendah; (3) Terdapat hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara variabel kepemimpinan pendidikan dengan variabel kepuasan kerja guru dengan koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,53 (p > 0,05); dan (4) strategi untuk memperbaiki kepemimpinan dilakukan dalam hal-hal berikut:  penetapan target-target, pengumpulan data dan informasi, pembimbingan dan pengarahan guru professional, pengembangan kurikulum dan pengembangan proses pembelajaran, pembentukan tim yang solid,  komunikasi yang efektif, penyelesaian konflik yang terjadi di sekolah.

Abstract

The success of an educational institution depends on the strategy set. The sharper the educational institution conducts a strategic analysis, the better the quality and image of the institution. Among the techniques in conducting a strategy study is to use the balanced scorecard method (BSC). In this article we present three main discussions: 1) the basic concept of balanced scorecard; 2) balanced scorecard in educational organizations; and 3) steps for implementing the balanced scorecard in educational organizations. Abstract

This research applies qualitative research and study case as its method. The aim of this research is to describe professional competence and learning process improvement after teacher certification program in Bojongrangkas 02 Elementary School, Bogor. Triangulation is employed during the data collection, which is the combination of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis consecutively consists of data reductions process, presentation, and conclusion. The data then is examined through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability test. The subjects taken are three teachers who have been certified in Bojongrangkas 02 Elementary School. The result of the professional competence reveals that the teachers are able to master the fundamental notions of learning, handle the various students’ ability, prepare the learning program, cope with stake holders at the school, understand the learning subject well, prepare the lessons based on the curriculum and level of students’ development, conduct evaluation, and cultivate students’ personality. On the other hand, they need guidance in exploring the material, using an appropriate strategy and teaching media, using information technology and communication as well as doing self reflection. The result of learning process improvement reveals that most teachers are competent in conducting the pre-activity session in the learning process, mastering the material, and using the appropriate language. However, they still need guidance in finding the appropriate learning strategy, using teaching media, encouraging students’ participation and enthusiasm, and applying the post-activity session in learning process. It can be concluded that the certificate program is greatly beneficial although some teachers may still need some coaching. This need emerges, as, in the real situation, there are drawbacks that need to be addressed, especially those in the aspects of professional competence and learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the competencies that principals must have in the 21st Century. Writing this article uses the literature review method, is there a qualitative descriptive data analysis technique by looking for theoretical references relevant to the cases or problems found. Based on the results of the analysis, the conclusions that answer the problem of this research are (1) the principal is someone who is given the task of leading a school, (2) the intended leadership is the ability to influence organizationalresources to move to follow orders to achieve goals (4) effective principal'sleadership in terms of entrepreneurial leadership, exemplary, intelligent, anddemocratic, (4) the 21st century is the era of technological advances in the fields of information, communication, and transportation, (5) the characteristics the 21st century which are available access anytime, faster computing, and communication that can be done from anywhere and anywhere, (6) Competencies that principals must have to face the 21st century, namely dimensions of personality,managerial, entrepreneurial, supervision, and social competence.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the positive correlation of situational leadership and self-efficacy with the improvement of teacher work productivity. The quantitative method with correlation analysis were employed, furthermore the Scientific Identification Theory to Conduct Operation Research in Education Management (SITOREM) was applied to determine the priorities. The population includes all the elementary school teachers which are civil servants (PNS) in Bogor, Indonesia while 105 were selected as samples. The findings showed there is a positive correlation between situational leadership and teacher work productivity with a correlation coefficient of 0.783, and between self-efficacy and teacher work productivity with 0.782. This, therefore, means these two factors are influential in increasing the productivity of teachers. The novelty of this research was the use of SITOREM to highlight 7 indicators prioritized to be improved including leader behavior, delegation, direction, teacher achievement, facility use, efficiency, and managerial ability.

Abstract

Abstract. The goal of this research is to find an instrument that is able to accurately measure the teacher's professional commitment variable as well as provide recommendations to improve it. This research design uses quantitative research with data acquisition through research instruments filled by 449 teachers from the territory of Indonesia through purposive sampling method and data analysis technique using Rasch Modeling. The research instrument before being used was first assessed by experts (expert judgment) and tested on 10 teachers. The reseach found: (1) There were 10 statement items that were proven to be able to accurately measure the teacher's professional commitment variable; (2) Some actions are recommended to increase teacher professional commitment: (i) encourage teachers to commit to completing tasks that exceed the standards set by the school; (ii) encourage teachers to be more actively involved in teacher professional activities; (iii) encourage teachers to internalize school values; (iv) encourage teachers to complete all tasks in school; and (v) encourage teachers to have the ability to adapt to various changes in education.Keywords: professional commitment, Rasch Modeling, teacher commitment Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menemukan sebuah  instrumen yang mampu secara tepat mengukur variabel komitmen profesional guru  sekaligus memberikan rekomendasi untuk  meningkatkannya. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pemerolehan data  melalui instrumen penelitian yang diisi oleh 449 guru dari wilayah Indonesia melalui metode purposive sampling dan teknik analisis data menggunakan Pemodelan Rasch. Instrumen penelitian sebelum digunakan terlebih dahulu mendapat penilaian dari ahli (expert judgement) dan  diujicobakan terhadap 10 guru. Penelitian menemukan: (1) Ditemukan 10 butir pernyataan yang terbukti mampu mengukur dengan tepat (fit) variable komitmen profesional guru; (2) Direkomendasikan beberapa tindakan untuk peningkatan komitmen profesional guru: (i) mendorong guru untuk berkomitmen menyelesaikan tugas yang melebihi standar yang ditetapkan sekolah; (ii) mengupayakan para guru untuk lebih terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan profesional guru; (iii) mendorong guru untuk menginternalisasi nilai-nilai sekolah; (iv) mendorong guru dapat menyelesaikan semua tugas di  sekolah: dan (v) mendorong guru untuk memiliki kemampuan beradaptasi dengan berbagai perubahan dalam pendidikan. Kata kunci: komitment profesional, Rasch Model, komitmen guru
