Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning model toward students’ mathematical problem-solving ability derived from their self-regulated learning at MTs Rokan Hulu. This research using a factorial experiment design. By random cluster sampling, 8th-grade students of A-class as the experimental and C-class students as the control group. Data were collected from the mathematical problem-solving ability test and self-regulated learning questionnaire. The result of this study is: 1) there was a difference in mathematical problem-solving ability between students taught by Problem Based Learning model and those who educated by direct learning, 2) there was a difference in mathematical problem-solving ability among students having high, medium and low self-regulated learning, and 3) there was no interaction between Problem Based Learning model and student mathematical problem-solving ability.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective eighth-grade Statistical module based on Problem-Based Learning. The ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model was used to develop the module in this research. The research findings showed that the developed module was valid with a validity percentage of 85.29% based on the validity test.  Based on the practicality test of a small group with eight respondents, the developed module was stated very practical with a practicality percentage of 88.97%.  These showed that the developed module completed valid and practical criteria.  The practicality test of limited group and module effectiveness test could not be carried out because the learning situation was not effecting during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study is a quasi experimental research that aims to determine whether there is or not differences in mathematical communication skills between students who apply cooperative learning model think-pair-share with students applying conventional learning and to know how to improve students' mathematical communication skills using cooperative learning model Think -Pair-Share. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, test and documentation techniques. The independent variable in this research is cooperative learning of think-pair-share model, while the dependent variable is student's mathematical communication ability. The data analysis technique used is test-t to see whether there is or not the difference and test of improvement N-Gain to see the improvement of students' mathematical communication ability. Based on the results of the analysis obtained the research results that there are differences in the ability of mathematical communication between students who use cooperative learning model think-pair-share (experiment class) with students using conventional learning (control class). This can be seen from the value of t0 obtained is 2.085 greater than the value of ttable is 1.99. Supported by the average grade obtained by experimental class that is 66,375 higher than the average value of control class is 53,875. Cooperative learning of think-pair-share model can also improve students' mathematical communication ability which is seen based on analysis result with N-Gain improvement test ie experimental class using cooperative learning with Think-Pair-Share model has increased by 0.607 higher than the increase obtained Control class is 0.432.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain yang digunakan adalah The Nonequivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak ada perbedaan hasil belajar antara mahasiswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share dengan metode mind mapping, dengan siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika UIN Suska Riau TA.2017/2018. Sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester III (tiga).Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes, teknik observasi, dan dokumentasi. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share dengan metode mind mapping, sedangkan variabel terikat adalah hasil belajar mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah tes “t” untuk melihat ada atau tidaknya perbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar matematika antara mahasiswa yang mendapat pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think-Pair-Share dengan Metode Mind Mapping dengan mahasiswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan menggunakan model evaluasi kesenjangan (discrepancy model). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Bengkalis dengan populasi yaitu SMA Negeri di Kecamatan Bukit Batu dan Siak Kecil. Sampel sebagai sumber informasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru matematika dan siswa SMA Negeri kelas XI. Berdasarkan jenis data yang akan dikumpulkan dan sumber datanya, maka teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik pengumpulan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh kualitas pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika SMA dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013 termasuk kategori baik karena komponen pendahuluan, komponen inti, dan komponen penutup telah dilaksankan walupun belum maksimal.
