Abstract

Have been done the research to know the community structure of deep soil Arthropoda in the rubberplantation {Hevea bransiliaensis) area at Inuman district, Kuantan Singingi, which is conducted on Octoberuntil December 2006. the point of the research station was held based on purposive random sampling whichis shown that age of the rubber are 1 year, than 5 years and last 10 years and the areas about 100 x 100 mlarge. The Arthropoda is held by applying dinamical method which use Barles Tulgreen. The parameters use: physics and chemist that talk about pH, temperature, water content of soil, organic material of soil and soiltexture, while biology are composition, domination index, diversity index, equitability index and distributionindex. The result of research shows Arthropoda composition deep soil is about 7 ordo, 11 species and 344individual, in which Hymenoptera and Collembolla ordo was plentiful found. The lower domination is about0,1274 - 0,2271, it means that there no animal dominated, the diversity is about 1,6637 - 2,2021, is means theamounts of species personal are not various, the higher aquatability is about 0,7676 - 0,9193, so it means thatthe spread of individu are fixed and no domination. The Arthropoda variety on the ground in piece A (0 -15cm) is higer than piece B (15 - 30 cm). The vertical distribution on the three station shows the clumpeddistribution.Key words : Deep soil Arthropoda, Community structure, Hevea bransiliaensis plantation

Abstract

Abstract: The research was conducted to find out the concentration of heavy metal Lead (Pb) and Cadmium (Cd) at water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) in Indragiri River Watershed Indragiri Hilir Regency as the biology module design of environmental pollution concept in Senior High School (SMA) conducted in May-July 2016. The research station is conducted by purposive random sampling taking into account the environmental conditions based on community activity around the river and the existence of Eichhornia crassipes. The main parameters in this study include concentrations of heavy metals Pb and Cd in river water, sediment and Eichhornia crassipes, and physical-chemical parameters as supporting parameters. The results showed that the average concentration of Pb heavy metals in river water was 0.276 ppm and Cd 0.126 ppm. The average concentration of Pb heavy metals in sediments was 4.61 ppm and Cd 0.75 ppm. The accumulation of heavy metals Pb and Cd Eichhornia crassipes are included in the low category, ie the average concentration of Pb heavy metals in root organs 3.02 ppm, on leaf organ 2.61 ppm, and in leaf organ 2.09 ppm. While the concentration of heavy metal Cd on root organs 0.47 ppm, on the leaf organ 0.39 ppm, and the leaf organ 0.362 ppm. Then, research results of heavy metal concentrations of Pb and Cd in river water, sediment, and Eichhornia crassipes that have been implemented will serve as a source in the preparation of learning modules in high school.Keywords: Biology Module, Eichhornia crassipes, Heavy Metals Pb and Cd, Water Pollution

Abstract

Abstract :This research aimed to improve creative thinking skill and student’s achievement of student class VII Hang Tuah SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru by implementation Problem Based Learning model. It had been done in SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru on April-May 2016. Parameters measure were student’s creative thinking skill, studen’t achievement and student’s attitude. The methods of this research was classroom action research by implementation Problem Based Learning model. It had been done in two cylce. There were planning step, acting step, observation step and reflection step for each cycle. The research instrument used was a learning device that consist of a lesson plan, syllabus, assesment authentic sheet, observation sheet and creative thinking skill sheet. The collected data was analysed descriptively. The result of this research showed that creative thinking skill on first cycle was 86,89 (C) and increased on second cycle up to 96,19 (A). Student’achievement on first cycle was 90,62 (B) and increased on second cycle up to 96,48 (A). Classical completeness percentage on both of cycle was 100%. Student’s attitude on first cycle was 87,45 (C) and increased on second cycle up to 93,14 (B). It can be conclude that Problem Based Learning model can improve creative thingking skill and student’s achievement of student class VII Hang Tuah SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru.Key Words : Problem Based Learning, Creative Thinking Ability, Student’s Achievement

Abstract

Abstract: Guided inquiry model is a learning model that involves students actively searching and finding concepts in learning activities with teacher direction. Active students in searching and finding concepts will make students critical thinking skills increase. The purpose of this study is to determine student’s critical thinking skills through the implementation of guided inquiry learning model on biology learning in class X MIA of state senior high school 9 Pekanbaru. The type of research conducted is quasi experimental research using pretest-posttest design. The study population all the students of class X, with a sample of class X MIA4 as an experimental class and class X MIA6 as a control class. In the learning process, the experimental class is the class given treatment by using guided inquiry learning model whiles the control class using conventional method. Data analysis techniques used are uji t and N-Gain. Based on hypothesis test result obtained tcount > ttable for animalia subject 1,84 > 1,72 and ecology 3,97>1,72 hypothesis accepted. Level of student’s understanding of animalia subject in the experimental class, value N-Gain 0,71 (high) and control class 0,61 (medium). Then the ecological subject in the experimental class of N-Gain value 0,73 (high) and the control class of N-gain value is 0,58 (medium). Based on the results of research shows that there are different of student’s critical thinking skills with and without using guided inquiry learning model in class X MIA state senior high school 9 Pekanbaru.Keywords: guided inquiry, critical thinking

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the barriers of implementation learning and its relationship with learning motivation and students cognitive learning outcomes on learning across the biology interest of class X IIS SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted in May-June 2018. The sample in this study amounted to 59 students determined based on purposive sampling techniques. The instrument consisted of barrier implementation of learning questionnaires, student learning motivation questionnaires and documentation of cognitive learning outcomes. The data obtained were analyzed using the correlation test product moment at the level of 5%, test of determination, and descriptive analysis. The results showed that the implementation of learning biology across the interests of class X IIS students of SMAN 4 Pekanbaru an average of 2.85 with criteria experiencing obstacles; then there is a significant relationship between the barriers to the implementation of learning with learning motivation of 0.477 with the medium category and obtained the coefficient of determination (r2) of 0.228 and there is a significant relationship between the barriers to the implementation of learning with cognitive learning outcomes of 0.406 with the medium category and obtained the coefficient of determination (r2) of 0.165. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the implementation of biology learning across the interests of class X IIS SMAN 4 Pekanbaru has criteria for obstacles, there is a moderate relationship between the barriers to the implementation of learning with learning motivation and cognitive learning outcomes.Key Words: Barriers, Cognitive Learning Outcomes, cross biological interest , Learning Motivation

Abstract

Abstract : The aim of this research is to develop learning media with good quality in the circulatory system material utilizing e-learning based on edmodo to improve students learning motivation in XI class. Further, e-learning validity test based on edmodo as learning media. The research was conducted in campus of Biology Education Program of FKIP Universitas Riau, it start from June to October 2017 by using Research and Development (R&D) approach with ADDIE model. This research is only in the Development stage. Learning media that has been developed is in circulatory system meterial. The instrument has been used is edmodo based e-learning validation sheet that containing 24 questions and was filled by 5 validators. Furthermore, it was conducted first test to 13 students biology education semester 1 and second test to 19 students of grade XII SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru by using questionnaire of student response. Research data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The result of edmodo based e-learning validation on the circulation system material is seen from 4 aspects, display, program, learning and curriculum. The result of validation is strong valid with score 3.86. The results of the first trial on students are in very good category for media and LTPD are 100% and 92.3% respectively. The second trial result of the students was in very good category on media and LTPD were 95% and 50% respectively. The result of questionnaire of motivation to learn is in good category in trial I is 3.30 or as much as 82.40% and trial II is 3.24 or as much as 80.97%. Learning tools developed can be used as an alternative learning tool and to improve student motivation of class XI.Keywords: Edmodo Based E-Learning, Learning Tool, Questionnaire response, Validation Sheet.

Abstract

Abstract : The research was conducted to determine the types of insect pollinators on watermelon (Citrulus lanatus) agricultural land Pekanbaru City in February to June, 2014. Research results are used to teaching materials in the form of learning modules, insektarium media and interactive learning media. This research was carried out by two stage that is the field research stage and stage development of learning resources. Data retrieval technique using total sampling with threere search stations. Station I : located in the Naga Sakti Street, RT 02/RW 02, SimpangBaru Village, Tampan District, Pekanbaru. Station II : located in the Lintas Timur Street Kilometers 18, RT 05/RW 08, Kulim Village, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru. Station III : located in the Ikan Parang Street, RT 03/RW 05, Muara Fajar Village, Rumbai District, Pekanbaru. Biological parameters observed are the type of insect pollinators and physical parameters include temperature, humidityand light intensity. The results showed that there are 13 species of insect pollinators belonging to 6 families and 3orders that the Order Hymenoptera, Order Lepidoptera and Order Diptera. Order Hymenoptera Family Apidae (2 species), Family Anthoporidae (1 species), Family Vespidae (1 species). Order Lepidoptera Famliy Nympalidae (5 species), Family Pieridae (3 species) and Order Diptera Family Syrphidae (1 species). Results of the study can beusedas a learning resourcein the form of learning modules, insectarium media and interactive learning media on biodiversity material class X High School. The average valueof learning resources developed ranged from 3.31 to 3.51with the validity criteria are very valid. The final stageof the research conducted limited testingof learning modules were tested in class X SMA N 8 Pekanbaru the number of students as many as 34 students. Based on the results of this research is that learning resources developed can already be implemented with the validity criteria are very valid.Key Word :Type Insect Pollinators, Plants Watermelon, Learning Resources

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to produce a valid students worksheet based on guided inquiry to increasing science process skill on kingdom (animalia) material. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Biology Education Department of PMIPA FKIP University of Riau andSenior High School2 Bangko Pusako Kab.Rokan Hilir in Mei-September 2017. This type of research is a development research using ADDIE model conducted up to development stage. There are 6 students worksheet developed. The instruments of data collection in this research are students worksheet assessment / validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. After students worksheet was developed, validated by 4 validators are 2 lecturer UR and 2 teacher Biology in Kab.Rokan Hilir and then simulation on 12 students Biology in 2015 Education FKIP UR, and trial limited on 20 students of Class X in Senior High School 2 Bangko Pusako Kab. Rokan Hilir. The validation result shows that the score of feasibility aspect of design of 6 LKPD developed is 3.39 valid categories, the mean score of pedagogical aspect is 3.35 very valid categories, and the the answer aspect score is 3.52 very valid categories. The average score of all aspects of the six LKPD is 3.42 very valid categories. The results of the simulation test showed a mean score of 3.37 with very good category. The results of the trial limited showed the average score of 3.37 with very good category. The results of the answer analysis on trial limited showed the average value of 81 (non experimen) with good category. The results of the second answer analysis on trial limited showed the average value of 83 (experimen) with good category. The.validition LKPD to increase science process skill on the kingdom (animalia) material for tenth grade senior high school category valid and very good.Keywords: Development, LKPD, Guided Inquiry, Science process skill, Kingdom (Animalia)

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the relationship of perception with student learning outcomes on biology learning using cooperative model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) class XI IPA in SMA N 2 Tambang. This research was conducted in September 2016. The sample in this research is 62 students of class XI IPAI and class XI IPAII academic year 2016/2017. Parameter of this research (1) student's perception toward applying cooperative learning model of typeed heads Together (NHT) with 5 indicators that are: attention, expectation, need, value system, and personality type, (2) student perception relation to application of cooperative learning model type NHT with students' Biology Science learning outcomes. Perceptual instruments are distributed through closed questionnaires, all valid questionnaire items and reliability, coefficiency of Alfa Cronbach reliability of 0, 810. The data collected was analyzed using SPSS version 20.00 for windows. The result of data analysis showed that students perception 4,00 (Good). There is a moderate positive correlation between perception and student learning outcomes (cognitive) on applying cooperative model of NHT type class XI IPA SMA N 2 Tambang with correlation coefficient (rhitung) 0,457. There is a weak positive relationship between perception and student learning outcomes (affective) on the application of NHT type cooperative model in class XI IPA SMA N 2 Tambang with correlation coefficient (rhitung) 0.385. There is a weak positive relationship between perception and student learning outcomes (psychomotor) on the application of NHT type cooperative model in class XI IPA SMA N 2 Tambang with correlation coefficient (rhitung) 0,278.Keywords: Student Perception, Learning Model Numbered Heads Together, learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to produce a valid student’s worksheet based on guided inquiry and students' ability in creative minding for global warming theory for seventh grade in junior high school. This research was conducted at the Biology Education Laboratory of the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty of Riau University and the Special Assistance Junior High School Dumai in April-August 2019. This type of research is a research development using the ADDIE model carried out until the development stage. There are 4 students’worksheet developed. Data collection instruments in this study were students’worksheet assessment / validation sheets, and student questionnaire responses. After students’worksheet was developed, it was validated by 5 validators then a simulation was conducted on 12 4th semester students of biology education Riau University, and the trials were limited to 26 Class VII students in Dumai Special Assisted Middle School. Validation results show the mean score of the design aspects of the 5 students’worksheet developed is 3.59 very valid categories, the mean score of pedagogical aspects is 3.58 very valid categories, and the average score of aspects of content worthiness is 3.48 very valid categories. The overall score for all aspects of students’worksheet was 3.54, a very valid category. Simulation results show a mean score of 3.44 with a very good category. Limited trial results show an average score of 3.33 in the excellent category. The results of the analysis of the answers in the limited trial showed an average value of 89.5 (non-experimental) in both categories. The results of the analysis of the answers in the limited trial showed a value of 92.8 (experimental) in either category. The validation results of the students’worksheet based on inquiry in global warming theory on seventh grade were valid and very good.Key Words: Development, Students’ Worksheet, Guiding Inquiry, Ability in Creative Thinking, Global Warming
