Abstract

The era of globalization demands education institution to be adaptive, creative, and innovative, including Islamic boarding schools as the institutions of Islamic education which become the national cultural heritage. One of the innovative programs is capacity building as a series of strategies aimed at increasing efficiency, effectiveness, and responsiveness of performance. This study was directed to explore capacity building implementation at Darul Amin Islamic modern boarding school Southeast Aceh. A qualitative research approach with a case study as the research strategy was implemented. The results of the study showed that capacity building focused on three dimensions, namely (1) human resource development; (2) organizational strengthening, and (3) institutional reform. The principle of Darul Amin capacity building contained the elements of participation, repetition, relevance, transfer, and feedback. In the process of capacity building, there were four stages, namely (1) pre-formal stage (pilot education organization); (2) formal stage (potential education organization); (3) transitional stage (national standard education organization); and (4) autonomous stage (international standard education organization). Towards the existence of the institution, Darul Amin also made various efforts at various levels, namely the system level, organizational level, and individual level.

Abstract

In Aceh Province, Dayah Perbatasan Darul Amin is an Islamic Boarding school institution that has twice had achievement as the cleanest and healthiest boarding school as part of adiwiyata-based education institution concept. Such achievement by the Islamic boarding school can inspire and terminate a syndrome that a boarding house is a slump, dirty and unhealthy place. Also, it can change the public paradigm that boarding school is a very representative place to study. This research analyzes the Islamic boarding school management model in implementing the adiwiyata concept through participative leadership. The research approach paradigm is the qualitative one. The research used a diary method (DM). This article is an experience of Darul Amin Islamic Boarding School in implementing the adiwiyata program by implementing an effective Islamic boarding school. Results of the research show that adiwiyata program management is conducted through participative leadership, namely (1) formulation of adiwiyata Islamic boarding school, (2) building intern consolidation, (3) implementation of cleanliness management, (4) procurement of necessary infrastructure, (5) program evaluation and (6) organizational development. All elements' active contribution in realizing the adiwiyata Islamic boarding school can improve students' characteristics to live clean and love their environment. The participative leadership of the Kyai is proven to be able to improve the effectiveness of adiwiyata Islamic boarding school management.

Abstract

Pembelajaran muatan lokal, merupakan salah satu wujud upaya pelestarian budaya di suatu  daerah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penerapan kebijakan pemerintah kota Pariaman mengenai diberlakukannya kembali muatan lokal dengan title Bahasa dan Sastra Minangkabau di tingkat SD dan SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus (case studi), dimana peneliti menjadi instrument kunci. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa penerapan muatan lokal wajib bahasa dan sastra Minang Kabau di Kota Pariaman belum sepenuhnya  terealisasi dengan baik sesuai dengan kurikulum 2013 yang berlaku. Hal itu dapat diliat dari beberapa komponen pembelajaran yang di teliti berupa 1) Pelaksanaan muatan lokal bahasa dan sastra Minangkabau belum mencapai sesuai tujuan sesuai dengan peraturan pemerintah nomor 32 tahun 2013. Selain itu, kebijakan yang masih terbilang baru karena diberlakukan pada masa pandemi 2020 sehingga pelaksanaan pembelajaran belum optimal; 2) Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh pendidik di SD maupun SMP pada umumnya masih menggunakan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi. Namun, kedua metode ini belum mengantarkan pada tujuan kurikulum 2013 dan belum terealisasi dengan baik; dan 3) Materi pembelajaran untuk saat ini masih mengedepankan kesepakatan dari guru-guru di kota Pariaman, dan belum adanya buku pedoman terkait sumber pembelajaran serta belum terstrukturnya RPP dengan baik.

Abstract

Eksistensi pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam yang memiliki keunggulan baik dari aspek tradisi keilmuannya maupun sisi transmisi dan intensitas umat Islam terancam oleh adanya arus globaisasi. Berdasar studi pustaka, tulisan ini bermaksud untuk menuliskan gagasan Azyumardi Azra tentang modernisasi pesantren. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gagasan modernsasi pesantren harus bisa menumbuhkan apresiasi yang sepatutnya terhadap semua perkembangan yang terjadi di masa kini dan mendatang, sehingga dapat memproduksi ulama yang berwawasan luas, namun harus tetap mempertahankan ciri utamanya yaitu memproduksi ulama dan pusat tafaqquh fiddien tanpa terbawa arus globalisasi.

Abstract

Persoalan pendidikan islam sedari dahulu hingga sekarang menjadi kajian sosial yang menarik untuk tetap dikaji. Persoalan relevansi pendidikan islam, kurikulum pendidikan islam, hingga dikotomi pendidikan menjadi hal yang masih eksis dalam kajian akademik. Salah satu peran dalam melihat banyaknya persoalan tersebut, maka diperlukan pembaharuan strategi pendidikan yang membumi, dan untuk melakukan pembaharuan pendidikan Islam diperlukan paradigma pendidikan yang mampu mengarahkan pada tujuan dan sasaran pendidikan Islam. Islam sendiri tidak mengenal adanya dikotomi. Al-Qur’an dan Hadis sebagai sumber umat Islam telah memberikan penjelasan yang lugas adanya ilmu pengetahun (Science) dan pemahaman agama secara baik. Masalah dikotomi keilmuan pun menjadi persoalan yang tidak pernah habisnya diperdebatkan dalam pendidikan Islam. Dari uraian tersebut, secara fundamental pendidikan hadhari adalah pendidikan yang berupaya membangkitkan kembali spirit keilmuan Islam yang integratif tanpa dikotomi dengan menginternalisasikan prinsip-prinsip wahyu dan etika Islam tentang  pendidikan. Ketiga entitas yaitu hadharah al-nash, hadharah al-falsafah dan hadharah al-‘ilm adalah entitas yang tidak dapat berdiri sendiri.  Hadharah al-nash tidak bisa berdiri sendiri tanpa hadharah al-‘ilm dan  hadharah al-falsafah dan sebaliknya. Relevansi pendidikan hadhari dengan permasalahan pendidikan Islam saat ini adalah pendidikan Islam harus mampu menginternalisasikan sumber nilai-nilai Al-Qur’an dan hadis dalam melihat permasalahan kontemporer sebagai landasan penyelesaian pendidikan Islam.

Meanwhile, the development in Indonesia continues with a more focused on economics that demands life skills. This research was formulated to develop modernity in some aspects of curriculum in pesantren Sholahuddin Al-Munawwarah Gayo iLues Regency, Aceh Province. The approach to paradigm research is qualitative using the case study method, which is a systematic investigation of ia specific event. Data collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The learning system uses the principles of learning to know, learning to do, learning to be and learning to live together; Implementation of talent interest education by implementing pesantren-based management (MBP); In iaddition, the potential areas around pesantren can be reflected in the delivery of education, in accordance with the principles of contextual education and broad based education; The findings in ithis study produced several main conclusions: (1) reorientation of learning, (2) development of pesantren culture that supports the education of talent-interest, (3) implementation of pesantren based management, (d) synergistic relationships with society, government and talent suppliers. Keywords: Modernity of Pesantren; Curriculum; Talent-Interest. Abstrak: Daya tawar pesantren terletak pada pendidikan karakter, karena pada dasarnya penanaman karakter pada santri adalah dengan implementas nilai-nilai agama-Islam. Sementara itu, pembangunan di Indonesa terus dilakukan secara bertahap dengan fokus pembangunan yang lebih ditekankan di bidang ekonomi yang menuntut keterampilan hidup. Untuk membentuk lulusan yang berkarakter dan berketeramplan hidup muncul sebuah konsep pendidikan berbasis minat bakat. Penelitian ini dirumuskan untuk mengangkat aspek modernitas pesantren ditinjau dari aspek kurkulum barbasis minat bakat pada pesantren Sholahuddn Al-Munawwarah Kabupaten Gayo Lues Provinsi Aceh. Paradigma pendekatan penelitian adalah kualitatif menggunakan metode studi kasus, yakni penyelidikan sistematis atas suatu kejadian khusus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sistem pembelajaran menggunakan prinsip learning to know, learning to do, learning to be dan learning to live together; Pelaksanaan pendidikan minat bakat dengan menerapkan manajemen berbaiss pesantren (MBP); Selain itu potensi wilayah sekitar pesantren dapat direfleksikan dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan, sesuai dengan prinsip pendidikan kontekstual dan pendidikan berbasis luas (broad based educaton); Temuan dalam penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa pokok kesimpulan yaitu: (1) reorientasi pembelajaran berbasis minat bakat, (2) pengembangan budaya pesantren yang menunjang pendidikan minat bakat, (3) implementasi manajemen berbasis pesantren, (d) hubungan kemitraan sinergis dengan masyarakat, pemerintah dan penyalur bakat. Kata kunci: Modernitas Pesantren; Kurikulum; Minat Bakat.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the change management process was carried out at the Islamic College in Indonesia, and what was the backgroud changes occur. This research method used qualitative with data collection techniques of interviews, documentation, and observation. The results of this study indicated that the factors driving change were namely; internal and external factors. Internal factors can be arised from within the organization of Islamic higher education institutions. Meanwhile, internal factors can be arised from outside the organization or institution. In the process of change that occurred at UIN Riau and UIN Bandung, Kurt Lewin's theory was more dominated as the main model. However, from the results of this study, the authors resulted in the development of a more dynamic theory of Kurt Lewin, namely (doctrining, unfreezing, changing, freezing, innovating). The five steps of the process of change the researchers produced from an argumentative analysis that changed in nature continue to occur, so that it took various innovations to one another and continuous innovation.

Abstract

The research aims to explain the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) in an effort to improve the quality of education in one of the public high schools in South Tangerang City. The research approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. This study aims to explain the implementation of SBM in improving the quality of education. The data obtained is presented in a descriptive form based on the results of interviews, observations and documentation studies. The research subjects in this study are information sources that can provide information or data related to the implementation of School Based Management (SBM) in an effort to improve the quality of education. In this study, the research subjects or informants were the Human Resources (HR) in schools including the Principal, Deputy Head of School for Curriculum, Head of Administration, Deputy Head of School for Facilities and Infrastructure, Deputy Head of School for Public Relations, and three teachers. School independence in meeting the availability of teaching and educational staff is sufficient, and school independence in meeting the availability of facilities and infrastructure is sufficient and sufficient. School partnerships/cooperation is good, this can be seen from the internal school relations that have been well established through work meetings, briefings and MGMP. Partnerships with external parties, the school has established partnerships with 13 institutions as evidenced by the MoU. Form of Participation, the form of participation is seen through the support of funds, facilities and staff from stakeholders in implementing school programs.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the influence of independent factors (employee behavior and work environment) on the dependent factor (employee efficiency) both separately and together, with employee commitment acting as the mediating factor. The participants for this study were chosen through a saturated sampling method, including the entire population, and consisted of seventy educators. The theoretical framework for this research was evaluated using path analysis methods, considering the previously conducted correlation and regression analyses. The findings of this study indicate that employee conduct has an influence on employee loyalty, workplace atmosphere has an influence on employee loyalty, employee conduct and workplace atmosphere collectively impact employee loyalty, employee conduct has an influence on employee productivity, workplace atmosphere has an influence on employee productivity, employee loyalty has an influence on employee productivity, employee conduct, workplace atmosphere, and employee loyalty collectively influence employee productivity, employee conduct affects employee productivity through employee loyalty, and workplace atmosphere affects employee productivity through employee loyalty.
