Abstract

In the midst of ongoing pandemic and the start of New Normal, the community is required to comply with health protocols when doing their daily activities. This will changes almost all aspects and order in society so that adaptation is needed. Many people feel burdened because it will limit themselves to show off, to develop skills, and even limiting their income. Therefore, they refuse to follow protocols and assume New Normal means returning back to normal. Community perspective on the understanding of New Normal and how to adapt which is sometimes not appropriate will make it difficult to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, we held a Community Service Program in the form of WEBINAR, online seminar education which is practical and doesn’t need to gather people crowds. This WEBINAR aims to revise people’s perspectives on New Normal and to give the correct adaptation methods. Moreover, this WEBINAR is also about ways to develop themselves and create innovations during this pandemic, given there are social, communication, and transportation restriction. The WEBINAR was held online using the Zoom meeting platform and was held on June 18th 2020 at 19.00 WIB with the speaker namely Ms. Ayu Tarantika Indreswari, S.Farm., Apt. The WEBINAR was attended by more than 100 participants from various cities and was dominated by teenagers. The goals of the following WEBINAR is increase the understanding and awareness of the community in implementing New Normal without limiting it to still look beautiful, stay healthy, and still earn a living. Of course, the correct adaptation of New Normal will help prevent the spread of COVID-19.abstrakDi tengah masa pandemi yang masih berlangsung dan dimulainya New Normal, masyarakat dituntut untuk tetap mematuhi protokol kesehatan dalam beraktivitas sehari-hari. Hal ini mengubah hampir sebagian aspek dan tatanan dalam masyarakat sehingga adaptasi sangat diperlukan. Banyak dari masyarakat yang merasa terbebani akan hal itu karena akan membatasi mereka dalam menampilkan diri, mengembangkan bakat, dan bahkan membatasi penghasilan mereka. Sehingga dengan berbagai alasan tersebut mereka menolak mengikuti protokol New Normal dan menganggap New Normal berarti kembali seperti normal. Perspektif masyarakat mengenai pengertian New Normal dan cara menerapkannya yang terkadang belum tepat akan menyulitkan upaya pencegahan penyebaran kasus COVID-19. Oleh karena itu, kami mengadakan program KKN berupa WEBINAR, seminar edukasi daring yang praktis tanpa harus mengumpulkan kerumunan orang di lapangan. WEBINAR ini bertujuan untuk meluruskan perspektif masyarakat mengenai New normal dan cara adaptasi yang benar. Selain itu, WEBINAR ini juga mengenai cara untuk mengembangkan diri dan menciptakan inovasi di masa pandemi, menghingat terdapat pembatasan sosial, komunikasi, dan transportasi. WEBINAR diadakan secara daring dengan menggunakan platform meeting Zoom dan dilaksanakan pda tanggal 18 Juni 2020 pukul 19.00 WIB dengan pemateri yaitu Kak Ayu Tarantika Indreswari., S.Farm., Apt. WEBINAR diikuti 118 peserta dari berbagai kota, dan didominasi oleh remaja. Diharapkan dengan adanya WEBINAR berikut, akan meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat dalam menerapkan New Normal tanpa membatasi untuk tetap tampil cantik, tetap sehat, dan tetap berinovasi. Tentunya, penerapan New Normal yang benar akan membantu mencegah penyebaran COVID-19.

Abstract

This research discusses the development strategy undertaken by the manager of R.A Kartini Museum especially related to the implementation of an event held in R.A Kartini Museum, Rembang Regency. This research is a qualitative descriptive research supported by the use of quantitative data such as the number of tourist visits. The results of research advised that the R.A Kartini Museum manager must consider the expectations and necessary of the visitors with the main purpose of the museum. The educational missions need more attention by the manager of R.A Kartini Museum one of them with the implementation of the event. Abstract

Program pemberdayaan masyarakat di wilayah pedesaan idealnya dilaksanakan tidak dengan sekali waktu. Hal ini menjadi sangat penting untuk menjaga aspek keberlanjutan dan mencapai tujuan secara maksimal. Masyarakat di perdesaan menjadi sasaran program pemberdayaan mengingat banyak sekali permasalahan yang ada di sana. Data statistik menunjukkan sebaran penduduk miskin nasional mayoritas berada di wilayah perdesaan. Salah satu metode untuk mengurangi angka kemiskinan adalah melalui pengembangan desa wisata. Tujuan dari program pendampingan desa wisata ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat di Desa Wisata Bejijong khususnya dalam bidang pengelolaan homestay dan pemasaran daring produk kerajinan warga. Tahapan dalam program pemberdayaan ini melalui tiga metode yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode pengambilan data melalui observasi, wawancara, diskusi, dan pengisian kuesioner. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman dan kompetensi warga mengalami peningkatan ke arah yang lebih baik. Hasil kegiatan ini diukur dengan menggunakan kuesioner (pre tes dan pos tes) dan dihitung dengan skala likert.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted many aspects of normal social life. The community is required not to leave the house too much if it is not necessary. Often during times of independent isolation or in personal cases, people are afraid to leave the house. They are faced with boredom so this is an opportunity for the digital entertainment industry to develop. On the other hand, many violations of COVID-19 health protocols still occur in society and people are still reluctant to stay-at-home. The question is what medium is good for persuasion as well as giving pleasure to people to entertain themselves during independent isolation and with low levels of boredom. Video games are a growing industry during the COVID-19 pandemic, unfortunately, this media has not been widely used as a means of persuading people to obey health protocols and stay-at-home. This study shows a correlation between gaming activity and the tendency not to leave the house. Besides, what types of games have the potential to keep someone from leaving the house are also discussed in this paper.

Abstract

Industrial sanitation hygiene education program for crackers home industry workers in Kandangan village, Krembung sub-district, Sidoarjo district was chosen as the Community Work Study Program (KKN-BBM) because: (1) In 2020, in Kandangan Village there were around 52 crackers home industries which has entered the second generation so it must be maintained; (2) The application of sanitation hygiene in the crackers home industry in Kandangan Village is generally still far from the established standards; (3) Poor hygiene practices can cause things that are detrimental to consumers, such as food poisoning or food-borne diseases. The author involved 10 crackers home industry workers as fostered partners during KKN activities taking place in industrial sanitation hygiene education on crackers home industry workers. The program is carried out with the delivery of material regarding sanitary hygiene requirements to control risk factors for food contamination, both those originating of food ingredients, people, places and equipment. To evaluate this activity, pre-test is given before delivering the material and post-test after delivering the material. From the results of the activities, this program has been proven to increase worker’s knowledge regarding sanitation hygiene requirements that must be carried out by crackers home industry managers and workers. Even though industrial sanitation hygiene education activities are more material in nature, it is expected to be a trigger to increase worker’s awareness about the importance of implementing industrial sanitation hygiene and making it a daily habit. This is because one important factor that supports the creation of food security is the condition of good food processing sanitation and hygiene.abstrakProgram edukasi higiene sanitasi industri pada pekerja industri rumah tangga kerupuk di Desa Kandangan, Kecamatan Krembung, Kabupaten Sidoarjo dipilih sebagai program Kuliah Kerja Nyata Belajar Bersama Masyarakat (KKN-BBM) karena: (1) Pada tahun 2020, di Desa Kandangan terdapat sekitar 52 industri kerupuk yang sudah masuk pada generasi kedua sehingga harus dipertahankan; (2) Penerapan higiene sanitasi pada industri rumah tangga kerupuk di Desa Kandangan umumnya masih jauh dari standar yang sudah ditetapkan; (3) Praktek sanitasi higiene yang kurang baik dapat menimbulkan hal-hal yang merugikan konsumen, seperti keracunan makanan maupun penyakit yang ditularkan melalui makanan. Penulis melibatkan 10 pekerja industri rumah tangga kerupuk sebagai mitra binaan selama kegiatan KKN berlangsung dalam edukasi higiene sanitasi industri pada pekerja industri rumah tangga kerupuk.Program ini dilakukan dengan penyampaian materi mengenai persyaratan higiene sanitasi untuk mengendalikan faktor risiko terjadinya kontaminasi terhadap makanan, baik yang berasal dari bahan makanan, orang, tempat dan peralatan.Untuk mengevaluasi kegiatan ini dilakukan pemberian pre-test sebelum penyampaian materi dan post-testsetelah penyampaian materi.Dari hasil kegiatan, program ini terbukti meningkatkan pengetahuan pekerja mengenai persyaratan higiene sanitasi yang harus dilakukan oleh pengelola industri rumah tangga dan para pekerja.Walaupun kegiatan edukasi higiene sanitasi industri lebih bersifat pembekalan materi tapi diharapkan dapat menjadi suatu pemicu untuk meningkatkan kesadaran para pekerja tentang pentingnya menerapkan higiene sanitasi industri serta menjadikannya kebiasaan sehari-hari.Hal ini dikarenakan salah satu faktor penting yang mendukung terciptanya keamanan pangan adalah kondisi sanitasi dan higiene pengolahan pangan yang baik.

Abstract

Ideally, community empowerment programs in rural areas should not be implemented once in a while. This is very important to maintain the aspect of sustainability and achieve the goals maximally. People in rural areas are the target of empowerment programs considering the many problems that exist there. Statistical data shows that the distribution of the majority of the national poor is in rural areas. One method of reducing poverty is through the development of tourist villages. The purpose of this community service program is to increase the understanding and skills of the community in Bejijong Tourism Village, especially in the field of homestay management and online marketing of citizen handicraft products. The stages in this empowerment program through three methods, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation method was carried out with focus group discussions with residents and field observations. The method of implementation is carried out by the methods of socialization, training and mentoring. Meanwhile, the evaluation method is carried out through discussions with partners. The results of this activity indicate that the understanding and competence of citizens has increased for the better. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman dan kompetensi warga  mengalami peningkatan kea rah yang lebih baik. Hasil kegiatan ini diukur dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner (pre tes dan pos tes) dan dihitung dengan skala likert.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the guided inquiry model and problem-based learning on the conceptual understanding of class VII A and VII K students of State Tsanawiyah Madrasa (MTs N) 3 Sragen on environmental pollution material. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a non equivalent control group design. After being treated with the guided inquiry model, the average of students' learning outcomes was 89.5, while the problem-based learning model was 88.3. To prove that there is an effect of the two models on students' conceptual understanding, a paired sample t-test was conducted, in which the two classes showed a significance <0.05 so that H1 was accepted or H0 was rejected. Its means that the two models influence students' conceptual understanding of environmental pollution material. The guided inquiry model in this study has a higher impact than problem-based learning. These results are also supported by the N-Gain score on the guided inquiry model, which is higher than the problem-based learning model with scores of 0.67 and 0.53, respectively. Both N-Gain scores are in the “medium” improvement category.

Abstract

Background: Waste is part of environmental problems because the increase in volume of waste correlates with population growth and efforts to reduce waste are still limited. Pataan Village which is one of the villages in Sambeng Subdistrict is also inseparable from the garbage problem. Most of the household waste will be collected in the yard and then burned, both organic and inorganic waste. In Pataan Village, there is already a 3R Waste Disposal Site (TPS) which functions as a place to collect garbage and a place to sort waste, unfortunately it is not functioned optimally due to various obstacles. Purpose: Solve the problem of managing organic waste especially corncobs by maximizing it as a mushroom planting media. Method: Socialization, training and assistance of mushroom cultivation using corncobs media to youth groups who are members of the Karang Taruna Organizations in Pataan Village. Results: The results of training and assistance for 25 days, it can be noted that the optimization of corncobs as a medium for mushroom cultivation can be an effective solution in handling the waste problem in Pataan Village and has the potential to bring up new commodities in Pataan Village in the form of janggel mushrooms. Conclusion:Partners get increased knowledge and skills in utilizing corncobs as a medium for cultivating janggel mushrooms. So that in the next period can be given about how the processing of the janggel mushroom in order to have added value.

Abstract

Some online learning methods are experiencing very fast dynamics these days. The dynamics that are developing are a form of adjustment to the needs of lecturers and students when the Covid-19 pandemic is severe. Airlangga University's online learning system e-Learning Application (AULA) has tried to be maximized to face the current dynamics of change. This study aims to evaluate online learning in theoretical and practical classes. The evaluation is seen from the perceptions of students from the Vocational Faculty. This evaluation is used to analyze three main aspects of the use of AULA, namely delivery, interactive, and assessment in the implementation of theoretical and practicum courses. This evaluation research uses a quantitative approach with the main data collection being a questionnaire. In addition, in-depth interviews were also conducted to confirm the questionnaire. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that the perceptions of students tend to be dissatisfied with the use of AULA in the practical class. Almost all sections in the interactive and assessment aspects have a fairly low score. The findings in this study indicate that the implementation of online practicum classes is still not able to accommodate students' interests related to the full mastery of skills from practicum classes. Although, the combination of vocational education and training with E-learning during a pandemic is considered the only logical choice. This is because learning objectives can only be achieved using this method compared to having to face to face during the Covid-19 pandemic.
