Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini telah dikembangkan multimedia interaktif pada konsep kalor. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh multimedia interaktif dan gaya belajar terhadap penguasaan konsep kalor siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan, yaitu studi pendahuluan, pengembangan desain, dan pengujian model. Pada tahap pengujian model digunakan metode kuasi eksperimen. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan ANAVA dengan dua faktor, yaitu model pembelajaran dan gaya belajar. Gaya belajar siswa dibagi menjadi empat kategori berdasarkan model VARK Fleming, yaitu Visual, Auditori, Read, dan Kinestetik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata penguasaan konsep siswa yang belajar menggunaan multimedia interaktif lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang belajar tanpa multimedia. Penguasaan konsep kalor siswa juga dipengaruhi oleh gaya belajar, dimana siswa dengan gaya belajar visual memiliki penguasaan konsep yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa dengan gaya belajar lainnya.In this research, we have developed interactive multimedia on heat concepts. This research aimed to analyze the effect of interactive multimedia and learning styles towards students’ understanding on heat concepts. The research was conducted in three stages: a preliminary study, development, and testing of models. Testing phase of the model used a quasi-experimental method. Data were analyzed using ANOVA with two factors, namely learning models and learning styles. Students learning styles were divided into four categories based on the model VARK Fleming; Visual, Auditory, Read, and Kinesthetic. The results showed that the average of students’ understanding who learned using interactive multimedia was still higher than students who learned without interactive multimedia. Students’ understanding on heat concepts were affected by learning styles, in which students with visual learning styles had higher understanding on heat concepts that students with any other learning styles.

Abstract

A virtual laboratory for electrical materials has been developed in this study. The virtual laboratory was developed as an alternative laboratory due to the limited equipment of physics experiments and simultaneously assisting students in visualizing abstract concepts in physics. This article discusses the results of testing on the effects of virtual laboratories on improving the creativity of prospective physics teachers. Measurable creativity includes verbal and figural creativity. The model testing process uses the quasi-experimental method. The participant of this research is prospective physics teachers in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Mataram. The research instrument used in the form of tests of verbal and figural creativity related to the electrical material being studied. The results showed that there is a difference in the improvement of prospective physics teachers’ creativity after learning in both groups. In general, the increase in creativity in the experimental group is higher than the control group. The increase in verbal and figural creativity of the two groups also differed significantly. In both groups, the increase of verbal creativity is higher than that of figural creativity. This suggested that the developed virtual lab model proved to enhance the creativity of prospective physics teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the use of virtual labs on problem-solving ability of students to the concept of electricity. The subjects were students of physics education at Mataram University. Students were divided into two groups: experimental and control group. The research instrument used was in the form of problem-solving ability tests on electricity concept. The tests employed the form of essay that represent concepts about electricity being studied. The results showed the effect of the use of virtual labs on problem-solving ability of students to the concept of electricity. It can be seen from the different improvement of problem-solving ability in both groups. Problem-solving ability of experimental group is higher than the control group. From the analysis of these problem-solving steps, it can be seen that general students in both classes have the same ability to identify problems and define goals. In the next step, the different improvement in problem-solving skills in the two classes is significant. Experimental class’ students have a higher ability to plan and implement problem-solving solutions than those of control class.

Abstract

Critical thinking is an important thing in building learners' knowledge. Students who have these skills will be able to solve problems effectively. This study examines the effect of science teaching materials based on the 5E learning cycle integrated with local wisdom in terms of gender on students' critical thinking skills. This quasi-experimental research with a pre-test-post-test control group design was carried out at Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Purposive sampling was used to select the research sample, including an experiment and a control group of equal ability between male and female students. The data were analyzed using a t-test and N-gain test to determine the improvement of critical thinking skills in both groups. The results showed that this teaching material affected students' critical thinking skills by the results of the t-test. The difference in the improvement of students' critical thinking skills is significant based on the result of N-gain and categorized as high. Students become more critical in solving problems after study using 5E integrated by local wisdom. The result shows an impact of this teaching material on first to fourth indicators of critical thinking skills. The fifth indicator is not affected by this teaching material because of students' weakness in elaborate the solution. There were also significant differences in the improvement of male and female students' critical thinking skills. One of them is that male students have a quicker response and higher self-confidence than female students in solving the problems. Based on this result, we conclude that applying science teaching material with 5E integrated by local wisdom positively affects students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hasil tahap Define dalam pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering dan Mathematics) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa.Model pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah model four D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Tahap Define dilakukan untuk menetapkan dan mendefinisikan syarat-syarat pembelajaran. Langkah-langkah yang telah dilakukan pada tahap Define adalah analisis ujung depan, analisis mahasiswa, analisis tugas, analisis konsep, dan perumusan tujuan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian untuk analisis kebutuhan yaitu deskripsi tentang kompetensi yang harus dimiliki mahasiswa setelah mengikuti perkuliahan fisika, pendekatan pembelajaran yang digunakan berbasis STEM, profil lulusan untuk menjawab tantangan dan tuntutan masa depan. Hasil penelitian untuk analisis mahasiswa yaitu deskripsi tentang karakteristik mahasiswa yang meliputi kemampuan bernalar, latar belakang pengetahuan, dan tingkat perkembangan kognitif mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian untuk analisis tugas yaitu dalam bentuk peta kedudukan modul. Hasil penelitian untuk analisis konsep yaitu dalam bentuk peta konsep tentang Osilasi. Hasil penelitian untuk perumusan tujuan pembelajaran yaitu deskripsi kompetensi yang terdiri atas sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Tahap Define telah selesai dilakukan sehingga tahap pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dapat dilakukan ke tahap selanjutnya yaitu tahap Design.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the competence of prospective teacher students through the 2nd Batch Teaching Campus Program in 2021 at SMPN 19 Mataram. This activity was carried out at SMPN 19 Mataram with a total of 8 students from 5 study programs at FKIP University of Mataram. The activity was carried out for 5 months, with a total implementation time of 20 weeks starting from August to December 2021. This type of research is quantitative research. Data on improving the competence of prospective teacher students was obtained from a questionnaire with an assessment using a scale of 4. The number of questions in the questionnaire was 25. The competency criteria consisted of four categories, namely Very good (A), Good (B), Enough (C), and Poor (K). The increase in student competence from week 1 to week 20 is calculated using N-gain. The average value of student teacher competency is 83.7, which is in the Good (B) criteria. The N-gain value obtained is 70.7 which is in the high criteria. Thus, the competence of prospective teacher students will increase through the 2nd Batch Teaching Campus Program in 2021 at SMPN 19 Mataram.

Abstract

Gaya belajar merupakan salah salah satu cara yang biasa digunakan siswa dalam menerima atau mengolah informasi yang diperoleh. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji pengaruh gaya belajar terhadap penguasaan konsep fisika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 68 siswa yang diperoleh secara purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian dibagi ke dalam tiga kelompok berdasarkan gaya belajar masing-masing yaitu kelompok visual, kelompok auditrori, dan kelompok kinestetik. Terdapat dua data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini yaitu data gaya belajar dan data penguasaan konsep fisika pada materi besaran dan pengukuran. Data gaya belajar diperoleh melalui instrument gaya belajar dengan jenis pilihan ganda berjumalah 20 butir soal. Instrumen penguasaan konsep fisika sebanyak 22 butir soal berbentuk pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji statistik Anava Dua Jalur. Hasil uji statistik memperlihatkan bahwa gaya belajar tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap penguasaan konsep fisika siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai rata-rata posttest penguasaan konsep fisika ketiga jenis gaya belajar memiliki nilai yang hampir sama.

Abstract

Abstrak: . Abad 21 merupakan abad yang berlandaskan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, sehingga menuntut sumber daya manusia sebuah negara untuk menguasai berbagai bentuk keterampilan, termasuk keterampilan berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah dari berbagai permasalahan yang semakin meningkat. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan pemerintah saat ini adalah dengan menggulirkan kurikulum 2013 yang merupakan kurikulum nasional dengan terus menerus diperbaharui agar selaras dengan tuntutan global dan tidak menyimpang dari nilai- nilai luhur bangsa Indonesia. Untuk melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran,guru menentukan materi pelajaran dan menyusun rancangan pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP).  Dalam rangka untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru- guru di Madrasah Aliyah khususnya kompetensi pedagogic dalam menghadapi abad 21, maka dilakukan pelatihan penyusunan RPP dengah harapan dapat mengembangkan secara mandiri, memilih dan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran inovatif untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran maupun kegiatan evaluasi. Kata kunci: Pendidikan Abad 21, RPP, Kompetensi Guru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyajikan hasil validasi dan ujicoba terbatas perangkat pembelajaran model inkuiri dipadu advance organizer. Prosedur pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4D yang terdiri dari tahap define (Pendefinisian), design (Perancangan), development (Pengembangan), dan disseminate (Penyebaran). Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan terdiri dari silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, media pembelajaran, dan instrumen tes penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Hasil validasi menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran dalam kategori layak-sangat layak. Hasil uji coba terbatas menunjukkan bahwa respon siswa sebesar 79.95% dan guru sebesar 81.15% adalah praktis dan terbaca.. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran model inkuiri dipadu AO layak, praktis dan terbaca dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa fisika

Abstract

This study aims to develop an instructional materials by discovery model with a cognitive conflict approach that has a positive impact on students' critical thinking skills, especially on temperature and heat material. The development of this instructional materials adapted the 4D (define, design, develop, and disseminate). Instructional materials developed in the form of syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheet, learning materials, as well as instruments of critical thinking skills in the form of a essay questions. This product was validated by three expert validators and obtained very high validity criteria. The practicality test is done by observing the implementation of learning accompanied by the questionnaire responses of teachers and students, and produces very high practicality criteria. The final value of critical thinking skills students also have high criteria. Therefore, the product developed can be declared valid, practical, and has a positive impact on students' critical thinking skills.
