Abstract

Tolerance is described as a concept of cultural phenomena that are integrated through religious life. Conflict as an internal problem while the challenges of the times (globalization) are goals that must be answered through a spirit of tolerance. The concept that will be analyzed is based on folklore tallu to sala 'dadi in Toraja. This study intends to examine the structure of the tallu to sala 'dadi story, and the tolerance value contained in the story. The theory used in this study is the semiotic social theory. While the method used is a qualitative method of content analysis and hermeneutic methods. As a result, data was obtained that the story was of a novel type, which revealed the struggles of human life in living everyday life. The values of tolerance contained include the value of acceptability and understanding that are paired with togetherness and complementarity. Based on these findings, it can be defined that tolerance is the attitude of accepting and understanding shortcomings and differences through togetherness and complementarity. AbstrakToleransi dideskripsikan sebagai konsep fenomena budaya yang terintegriasi melalui kehidupan beragama. Konflik sebagai masalah internal sedangkan tantangan jaman (globalisasi) merupakan tujuan yang harus dijawab melalui semangat toleransi. Konsep itulah yang akan dianalisa berdasarkan cerita rakyat tallu to sala’ dadi di Toraja. Penelitian ini bermaksud mengkaji struktur ceritera tallu to sala’ dadi, dan nilai toleransi yang terkandung dalam ceritera tersebut. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah teori semiotik sosial. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan ialah metode kualitatif analisis kontent serta metode hermeneutik. Hasilnya, diperoleh data bahwa cerita tersebut berjenis novel, yang mengungkapkan pergumulan hidup manusia dalam menjalani hidup sehari-hari. Adapun nilai-nilai toleransi yang terkandung meliputi nilai keberterimaan dan kesepahaman yang dipadankan dengan kebersamaan  dan saling melengkapi. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut dapat di definisikan bahwa toleransi adalah sikap menerima dan memahami kekurangan dan perbedaan melalui kebersamaan  dan sikap saling melengkapi.

Abstract

The author does the learning process by using the quantum teaching method. This study departs from the writer's anxiety about the condition of student mastery of the material being studied. Inadequate campus facilities and lack of student interest in learning. As a result, students can not fulfill the assignments that have been given. Another issue that makes writers work hard is the average student from a remote area, where the learning process using information technology is still far from their reach. So the authors apply one of the learning processes using quantum teaching. The researcher examines the learning process using classroom action research. Based on the study conducted by the author in this paper, there are two important things that need to be learned, namely being able to do something, and be able to think for doing something. Teaching is a very important task in this world. Teachers should be able to influence human behavior from generation to generation. This is evident from the activities of the students in applying learning outcomes in class. Therefore, this paper contributes to a good learning process.

Abstract

This research examines the learning model used by Jesus when preaching or teaching specifically found in Matthew 7: 24-29. There are several methods that Jesus uses in this section, namely: the lecture method, the method of storytelling and the method of parable. These methods were quite successful in Jesus' teaching as evidenced by the large number of followers who were amazed at him. In this study, we want to find out how the influence of the application of the method Jesus used on student learning outcomes. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with survey techniques. The research population was all of the ninth grade students in SMP Negeri 12 Kota Kupang with a total sample of 30 students. Data analysis was performed using statistical techniques with data analysis processes namely Descriptive Analysis, Test Requirements Analysis and Hypothesis Test. The results showed that the application of the Learning Method used by Jesus in Matthew 7: 24-29 had an effect on student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 12 Kota Kupang by 40%.

Abstract

Domestic conflict is a problem where husband and wife are fixing problems in their marriage. In the household as a forum for interaction between parents and children can influence the good behavior of the child's character. The purpose of this study was to find out about household conflict with the character of children in the GMIT Betania Nevo Klasis Amarasi Barat. The method used in this study is a survey technique using quantitative. The population in this study were members of the GMIT Betania Nevo Klasis Amarasi Barat with a total sample of 44 people. Data collection was carried out by questionnaire and data obtained from the results of the study were analyzed with statistical procedures and techniques. Based on the results of the analysis in this study, it was found that the difference between the house and the character of children in the GMIT Betania Nevo Klasis Amarasi Barat was 46.4% and the rest was used by other factors. Konflik rumah tangga merupakan keadaan dimana suami dan istri sedang mengalami masalah dalam perkawinannya yang mengakibatkan perilaku mereka yang cenderung kurang harmonis. Dalam sebuah rumah tangga sebagai wadah interaksi antara orang tua dan anak dapat memberi pengaruh terhadap perilaku maupun karakter anak.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mencari tahu seberapa besar pengaruh konflik rumah tangga terhadap karakter anak khususnya yang ada di Jemaat GMIT Betania Nevo Klasis Amarasi barat.  Peneliti  dalam  penelitian ini menggunakan teknik survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Anggota Jemaat GMIT Betania Nevo Klasis Amarasi Barat dengan menggunakan sampel yaitu 44 orang.  Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang telah diuji validitas dan reliebilitasnya dan data-data yang terkumpul dari hasil penelitian kemudian dianalisis menggunakan tahap-tahap dan teknik statistika.  Berdasarkan hasil analisis dalam penelitian ini ditemukan adanya pengaruh antara konflik rumah tanga dengan karakter anak di jemaat GMIT Betania Nevo Klasis Amarasi Barat sebesar 46,4 % dan selebihnya dipengaruhi oleh factor-faktor lain.

Abstract

Worship is a basic need for every Christian to draw closer to God. Therefore we need a correct understanding of true worship. This study looks at the level of understanding of students of STAKN Kupang about true worship, that the true worship based on Psalm 50: 1-23 is giving thanks, paying vows, crying out, and living according to God's provision. This study uses a combination of research types. The qualitative method (exegesis) is carried out to get the indicators to be measured. Then proceed with a quantitative approach in the form of a survey to measure the level of student understanding of worship. The results showed that the price of t count = 19.576 and the cost of the t table for a one-tail test with DK 142 = 0.65566. The results of the calculation of the level of understanding of students of STAKN Kupang Semester V regarding the concept of worship, according to Psalm 50: 1-23, is 87.3%.

Abstract

Analisis tentang Pengaruh Khotbah bagi Pertumbuhan Gereja Masa Kini. Pertumbuhan gereja adalah harapan bagi setiap orang Kristen khususnya bagi pemimpin dalam gereja. Pertumbuhan gereja dapat dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor dan salah satunya adalah khotbah. Meski demikian khotbah masih kurang mendapat sorotan sebagai salah satu faktor yang cukup mempengaruhi pertumbuhan gereja khususnya secara kuantitatif dibandingkan dengan faktor-faktor yang lebih gencar dilakukan padahal dalam kenyataannya dalam pertumbuhan gereja beberapa gereja yang cukup pesat khotbah sangat berpengaruh. Dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu sejauh man pengaruh khotbah bagi pertumbuhan gereja pada masa kini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan survey sebagai kekuatan dalam mengumpulkan data dilapangan. Adapun yang menjadi sampel penelitian adalah anggota jemaat yang berasal dari beberapa denominasi gereja. Analisis data dilakukan dengan prosedur statistik yaitu mendeskripsikan data hasil penelitian, melakukan uji persyaratan analisis dan pengujian terhadap hipotesis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara khotbah terhadap pertumbuhan gereja yaitu diangka 74,7%. Pengaruh paling dominan adalah pada pertumbuhan secara kualitatif.

Abstract

Catechism is a forum for fostering and educating young people so that they can profess their faith before God and be witnessed by the Lord's congregation during the session. The catechism was designed for at least two years, one year to study the Bible and one year to outline the main points of the church's beliefs and the demands of Christian life in this world. The problem that occurs in the GMIT Sonhonis Oelbubuk is that the level of youth understanding of the teaching of catechism given by the instructor is very lacking. This study aims to find the level of youth understanding about catechism in the Church. The method used in this study is a survey technique with a quantitative approach. The population and sample are youth in the GMIT Sonhonis Oelbubuk. The results showed that the level of understanding of youth in the GMIT Sonhonis Oelbubuk about catechism was 79.53%, the results were included in the quite high category.

Abstract

Masalah rapuhnya karakter kejujuran dewasa ini tidak hanya menjadi momok di dunia sekuler, tetapi juga terjadi dalam lingkungan Gereja. Gereja yang seharusnya menjadi tempat membentuk dan menumbuhkan nilai karakter Kristiani, salah satunya karakter kejujuran, tidak pelak dinodai oleh tindakan oknum-oknum dalam gereja itu sendiri, baik oleh jemaat maupun pemimpin jemaat. Masalah seperti pengelolaan keuangan yang tidak transparan, ketidakjujuran dalam hal memberi persembahan adalah contoh kecilnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari beberapa hal yang menjadi permasalah berkaitan dengan praktek ketidak jujuran dalam jemaat. Metode yang digunakan Pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa kejujuran dalam jemaat masa kini perlu dimiliki setiap orang sebagai implementasi karakter yang Alkitabiah serta merupakan bentuk tanggung jawab dalam persekutuan. Kata-kata kunci: Gereja, Jemaat, Karakter, Kejujuran, Nilai. The problem of the fragility of the character of honesty today is not only a scourge in the secular world, but also occurs in the Church environment. The church which is supposed to be a place to form and foster Christian character values, one of which is the character of honesty, is undoubtedly tarnished by the actions of individuals in the church itself, both by the congregation and the church leaders. Issues such as financial management that are not transparent, dishonesty in terms of offering offerings are a small example. This study aims to look for some things that become problems relating to the practice of dishonesty in the congregation. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with literature study. From the results of this study it was concluded that honesty in today's church needs to be had by everyone as an implementation of biblical character and a form of responsibility in fellowship.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the application of democratic parenting by Christian parents to their teenage children in the village of Sikumana, Maulafa district, Kupang City. This study uses qualitative methods through direct observation in the field. The results showed that the democratic parenting applied by parents is in the form of good control of each child's actions and behavior, parents are very responsive to every child's needs, parents always provide learning about the impact caused by each child's actions, people parents accept the limits of abilities possessed by children, parents provide freedom for their children to choose and take an action within certain limits and parents become good examples for their children. The parenting was quite successful in its application

Abstract

This research aims to find the influence of applying cooperative learning jigsaw type to improve the learning outcomes of the 6th semester students in the course of History of Christian Religious Education at STAKN Kupang in 2017. Quantitative research methods with the quasi experiment nonequeivalent control group design approach was used as a research method. The experimental study involved two groups of students, the experimental group and the control group, each of which was given pre-test and post-test. The target population of 62 students was divided into two different groups. Each consisted of 32 students in the experimental group and 30 students in the control group. The results showed that  the application of cooperative learning jigsaw type was able to improve students’ learning outcomes at 30.625 or 30.6 persen with significance value on the sig. value  (2-tailed) by 0.000 <0.05 or there is a significant increase. The average value of students’ learning outcomes using cooperative learning model with jigsaw approach is greater than 8.586 with significance value at sig. value (2-tailed) of 0.003 <0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in the value of learning outcomes compared to that of students using only conventional methods such as lectures
