Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of library science students to organize information through apprenticeship activities in the Agricultural Extension School Library (STPP) Malang. The understanding of library science students about the process of organization of information in the library theoretically has been obtained in the lecture bench, but the understanding needs to be applied / practiced in the field by doing apprenticeship activities in the library, whether they can and can do quickly, precisely and correctly in terms of organizing information.               This research is a class action research (action research) which is included in the type of qualitative research, the research sample of S1 Library Science study program students doing internships in the Agricultural Extension College Library totaling 5 people using purposive sampling techniques. data collection techniques, namely observation and data recording. Observations carried out to observe the activities of organizing information activities. Recording techniques are used to anticipate the possibility of missing data needed from the results of observations               The results of the study in cycle 1 score 66 by observer 1 and 67 by observer 2 are in the C value range completeness / retention of organizing information in the student internship process is not complete / students do not fully understand information organizing activities. Cycle 2, the average score obtained by the researcher / observer 1 is 80 with number A. Score 79 by observer 2 with the letter B. This means that in cycle 2 students' understanding of organizing information is said to be complete / understanding of the information organizing action               The results obtained from the research are expected to make a benchmark of whether library science students are able to translate theories obtained in college into apprenticeship activities in the library quickly, accurately, and correctly.

Abstract

Berdasarkan data Kementrian pendidikan dan kebudayaan, sebanyak 34.19 persen sekolah di Indonesia dari 34 provinsi, belum memiliki perpustakaan. Padahal sesuai amanat UU No 43 Tahun 2007 hendaknya lembaga pendidikan termasuk sekolah ditunjang dengan perpustakaan. Perpustakaan tentu harus mengiringi perkembangan jaman dan mampu untuk memberikan layanan berbasis teknologi. Berdasar hal tersebut dan fakta bahwa tidak semua perpustakaan sekolah berjalan sesuai standar perpustakaan apalagi memanfaatkan otomasi perpustakaan. Maka pengabdian dalam bentuk pelatihan ini menjadi solusi dari gambaran permasalahan diatas. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini ialah ceramah, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Diikuti oleh 34 peserta dari pengelola perpustakaan Se Malang Raya yang terdiri dari Sekolah Swasta, Sekolah Negeri, Pondok Pesantren. Saat pelatihan aplikasi otomasi perpustakaan 100% terinstall pada laptop peserta dan dapat digunakan. Sehingga pengelolaan perpustakaan yang manual sudah terbantukan dengan otomasi perpustakaan dan meninggalkan proses manual/paperbased service ke arah perpustakaan digital. Kendala yang dihadapi peserta ketika monitoring dan evaluasi ialah dukungan teknis penyediaan hardware yang belum dipenuhi oleh pihak sekolah. Saran dan tindak lanjut dari kegiatan ini ialah ditingkatkannya pada tahap lebih lanjut yaitu inovasi layanan dan akreditasi perpustakaan.Kata kunci: otomasi perpustakaan; perpustakaan digital; perpustakaan sekolahImplementation of School Library Automation in Malang RayaABSTRACT  Based on data from the Ministry of education and culture, as many as 34.19 percents of schools in Indonesia from 34 provinces, do not yet have a library. Yet according to the mandate of Law No. 43 of 2007 educational institutions including schools should be supported by libraries. Libraries certainly have to accompany the development of the era and be able to provide technology-based services. Based on this and the fact that not all school libraries run according to library standards let alone utilize library automation. Then this service in the form of training is the solution to the picture above problems. The methods used in this service are lectures, training and mentoring. Participated in 34 participants from the library manager of Se Malang Raya consisting of Private Schools, Public Schools, Islamic Boarding Schools. During training, the library automation application is 100% installed on the participant's laptop and can be used. So that manual library management is helped by library automation and leaves the manual / paper-based service process in the direction of digital libraries. The obstacle faced by participants when monitoring and evaluation is technical support for providing the hardware that has not been met by the school. Suggestions and follow-up from this activity are to be improved at a further stage, namely service innovation and library accreditation.Keywords: library automation; digital library; school library

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan konten akun media sosial Twitter Perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia @UI_Library dan Perpustakaan Universitas Airlangga @Unairlibrary yang termasuk dalam katagori sifat konten, layanan perpustakaan, dan bentuk berita. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian analisis isi kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan konten informasi, event, bimbingan pemakai, humas dan tulisan bergambar adalah konten dari masingmasing unit analisis yang jumlah komentar, retweet dan like lebih dominan diminati oleh pemustaka daripada konten ajakan, layanan referensi, sirkulasi, dan tulisan.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the Engagement Rate academic library and to analyze strategies in implementing Library 2.0 as well as to identify barriers in applying Library 2.0. The approach in this research uses a qualitative with a comparative case study method. The Engagement Rate results University of Indonesia Library ranks first, Gadjah Mada University Library in the second and Airlangga University Library on the third. This study University of Indonesia Library and the Airlangga University Library where research was conducted, which resulted in research that both libraries have had strategies in the application of Library 2.0 which is parsed by forming components Library 2.0 is user participation, Web 2.0, perpustkaaan and services, evaluation and cooperation. Another finding is that both libraries have the same strategy, on the other hand there are also different strategies. When one component is weak then the other components further strengthened. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat keterlibatan (Engagement Rate) perpustakaan perguruan tinggi dan menganalisis strategi perpustakaan perguruan tinggi dalam menerapkan Library 2.0 serta untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan perpustakaan perguruan tinggi dalam menerapkan Library 2.0. Pendekatan dalam tesis ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus komparatif.Hasil perhitungan tingkat keterlibatan didapatkan Perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia menempati urutan pertama, Perpustakaan Universitas Gadjah Mada pada urutan kedua serta Perpustakaan Universitas Airlangga pada urutan ketiga. Penelitian ini memilih Perpustakaan UI dan Perpustakaan Unair menjadi lokasi penelitian, dimana menghasilkan penelitian bahwa kedua perpustakaan telah memiliki strategi dalam penerapan Library 2.0 yang diurai menurut komponen pembentuk Library 2.0 yaitu partisipasi pengguna, web 2.0, perpustkaaan dan layanan, evaluasi dan kerjasama. Temuan yang lain kedua perpustakaan memiliki strategi yang sama, di sisi lain ada juga strategi yang berbeda. Ketika salah satu komponen lemah maka komponen lain lebih diperkuat.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana perencanaan yang dilakukan Perpustakaan Universitas Mercu Buana (UMB) Cabang Cibubur dan nilai serta budaya kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan pustakawan Perpustakaan UMB Cabang Cibubur merencanakan kegiatan dengan menerapkan management by team. Masing-masing pustakawan mengatur perencanaan sesuai dengan kemampuan individu masing-masing. Dari sikap tersebut tumbuh nilai dan budaya kerja yaitu nilai tanggung jawab, partisipasi, keakraban, kekuasaan dan kerjasama serta tumbuh budaya kerja yang toleransi dan saling menghargai.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the level of literacy information of State University of Malang students participants in PIMNAS 2018 and 2019 based on six standards of literacy information. This research used descriptive research method with a quantitative approach. The results showed that the information literacy level of the State University of Malang students who participated in the PIMNAS 2018 and 2019 based on six sub-variables, there are average score of identifying information needs was 3.43; average score of information-searching behavior and information sources was 3.15; average score of information search techniques and strategies was 2.96; average score of information organization and evaluation was 3.19; average score of information use and related issues was 3.14; and average score of information sharing and knowledge creation was 3.76. The author argue that the State University of Malang Library should be involved in improving student literacy in the category of using techniques and information search strategies.

Abstract

Gelombang perubahan teknologi dalam dunia perpustakaan tidak dapat dielakkan lagi.Ketika Michael Casey mencetuskan konsep Library 2.0 pada tahun 2005, sejak itu perpustakaan berduyun-duyun untuk mengadopsi konsep tersebut.Penelitian di luar negeri tentang konsep Library 2.0 sudah berkembang pesat berbeda dengan di Indonesia yang masih berkutat pada ranah persepsi. Penelitian Library 2.0 yang bersifat teknis akan memberikan warna yang berbeda bagi pustakawan setidaknya dari segi manfaat akan cepat untuk diterapkan. Penelitian ini akan menjabarkan fitur-fitur dari OPAC 2.0 yang dijadikan sebagai Next Generation Library Catalog, dengan mengutamakan kebutuhan pengguna (user centered) serta mengedepankan partisipasi pengguna (user participation). Contoh dari web yang sudah menerapkan OPAC 2.0 akan dijabarkan pada tulisan ini sehingga pembaca dengan mudah untuk berfikir ulang sudahkah kita memiliki OPAC 2.0.

Abstract

Realizing According to Law No. 43 of 2007 that every school operates a library that meets the national library standards by taking into account the National Library Standards. Libraries are required to have a collection of textbooks designated as compulsory textbooks in the education unit concerned in sufficient numbers to serve all students and educators. To make this happen, libraries must have competent human resources in their fields. The implementation method used is exposure/lecture, discussion and mentoring via WhatsApp group. The training was held in one day, starting with the pre-test and post-test. The training materials include Library Management, Classification and Cataloging and Library Automation. From the pre-test results, it was found that the category was very poor with an average score of 33 and an average post-test score of 92 with a very satisfying category. From the increase in the pre-test to post-test scores, it was found that this training was able to provide knowledge of school library management based on library automation.

Abstract

The compilation of reference documents for the thesis can be collected in large numbers. Documents collected in large numbers that not accompanied by good document management can cause "Messy Work Environment". PIM (Personal Information Management) can be used in the management of thesis reference documents. This study used a R&D method. The research data collection technique used semi-structured interviews. Information selected using purposive sampling technique, based on this technique obtained ten information status as students of the State University of Malang who are currently working on their thesis. Data analysis techniques using qualitative data analysis techniques from Miles and Huberman. From the research conducted, it can be seen that some of the main points in each PIM process belong to information such as brief considerations in selecting documents to be stored, using storage methods, and using search and search through search engines as strategies to return to documents.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to develop a web-based digital dictionary library information system as an effort to increase the inventory of lexicography scientific cultural entries in the DigiTech Education era during the current COVID-19 Pandemic. This digital dictionary library information system is expected to be a means of archiving the archipelago cultural dictionaries created by students and can be widely accessed by people who need information related to the contents of the dictionary. It developed this digital learning model and digital content to improve the quality of learning quality, especially in Lexicography.Keywords: a web-based digital dictionary library, cultural chemistry, Lexicography, DigiTech EducationAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi perpustakaan kamus digital berbasis web sebagai upaya meningkatkan inventarisasi lema kebudayaan keilmuan Leksikografi di era DigiTech Education pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19 saat ini. Sistem informasi perpustakaan kamus digital ini diharapkan mampu menjadi sarana pengarsipan kamus-kamus kebudayaan nusantara hasil karya mahasiswa serta dapat diakses secara luas oleh masyarakat yang membutuhkan informasi terkait dengan konten kamus tersebut.
