Abstract

The purpose of this research was to estimate biomass and carbon stored in the forest unit management of KPHP to know its potency to adsorb atmospheric CO2 gas and comply with standart from IPCC recomendation  in the Model Forest Production Management Unit S. Merakai Sintang Regency. Method of inventory is “non destructive sampling at Above Ground Baiomass pool”, placement stand the sample plot is purposive sampling based on 2012  land cover image of Landsat ETM 7+ stratificated year 2012 BPKH Wilayah III Pontianak dided. KPHP Model S. Merakai Sintang Regency  was founded by Minister of forestry decree number  : SK. 791/MENHUT-II/2009, Desember, 7th, 2009. The result of this research four class sample of land cover: Primary Forest with the average biomass 363,82 ton /Ha and carbon stored 234,54 ton C/Ha, Secondary Forest with the average biomass 499,02 ton/Ha and carbon stored 171,00 ton C/Ha, Secondary Swamp Forest with the average biomass 451,91 ton /Ha and carbon stored 212,40 ton C/Ha, bush shrub with the average biomass 17,79 ton/Ha and carbon stored 8,63 ton C/Ha. Abstract

Mangrove forests, often referred to as mangrove forests, brackish forests or tidal forests, is a transitional ecosystem between land and sea which are tropical or sub-tropical areas along the sheltered coast and river mouth. Mangrove forest is a coastal plant community dominated by several species of mangrove trees that are able to grow and develop during the tides in accordance with their tolerance to salinity, duration of inundation, substrate and beach morphology. Awan Kiri Mangrove Forest has a total area of 114 hectares including the area of Other Management Areas (APL) then seen from the density of the Mangrove Forest only has 92 hectares. This study uses a non-destructive survey method. Vegetation carbon stock calculation is carried out using vegetation biomass calculation approach. Vegetation biomass calculation based on the calculation of allometric equations. Calculation the value of stored carbon using the formula according to (SNI 7724:2011) the value of parent carbon content,amounting to 0,47. Bassed on the research that has been done, it is found that there are 185 individuals, Rhizophora spp., Bruguiera gymnorhiza, Rhizpphora apiculata, Xylocarpus gerantum and Excoecaria agallocha. The biomassa content can be known in the 3 pathways to store 242,16 tons biomassa and the total  biomassa content in 1210,8 tons/ha with an everage of 403,6 tons/ha. The carbon content is 569,06 tons/ha so that it gets an average total of 186,68 tons C/ha.Keywords: Carbon Stock, Ketapang Regency, Sungai Awan Kiri in Mangrove Forests.

Abstract

Abstrak Tanaman penage (Calophyllum inophyllum) tumbuh secara alami di pantai Pulau Datok Kecamatan Sukadana Kabupaten Kayong Utara diameter yang sudah besar dengan diameter lebih dari 30 cm). Tujuan penelitian untuk mengkaji potensi tegakan dan produksi buah penage (C. inophyllum) di pesisir pantai Pulau Datok Kabupaten Kayong Utara dan mengetahui korelasi antara diameter dan luas tajuk terhadap produksi buah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di pantai Pulau Datok Kecamatan Sukadana Kabupaten Kayong Utara Provinsi Kalimantan Barat, menggunakan metode survei dengan teknik pengambilan data dilakukan secara sensus. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa tinggi total (m), tinggi bebas cabang (m), diameter setinggi dada dari permukaan tanah, tinggi tajuk (m), diameter tajuk (m), luas tajuk (m2). Hasil penelitian menunjukan pohon penage yang terdapat di pantai Pulau Datok Desa Sutera Kecamatan Sukadana, ditemukan sebanyak 70 dengan ukuran tinggi 8,1 -14  m, dan volume sebesar 47,72 m3.Produksi buah pohon penage yang terdapat di pantai Pulau Datok sebanyak ± 31,14  kg/pohon. Luas tajuk pohon penage di pesisir pantai Pulau Datok sebesar 647,26 m2 atau rata-rata luas 9,25 m2/pohon. Ukuran luas tajuk dan diameter pohon berkorelasi dengan produksi buah dimana semakin besar ukuran tajuk dan diameter pohon, maka produksi buah semakin besar. Kata kunci : penage, jumlah pohon, luas tajuk dan produksi buah. AbstractPenage (Calophyllum inophyllum) plants grow naturally on the coast of Pulau Datok, Sukadana District, Kayong Utara Regency, which has a large diameter of more than 30 cm. The research objective was to assess the stand potential and production of penage fruit (C. inophyllum) on the coast of Pulau Datok, Kayong Utara Regency and to determine the correlation between diameter and crown area on fruit production. This research was conducted on the coast of Pulau Datok, Sukadana District, Kayong Utara Regency, using a survey method with the data collection technique carried out by census. Data collected in the form of total height (m), branch-free height (m), diameter at breast height from ground level, crown height (m), crown diameter (m), crown area (m2). The results showed that there were 70 penage trees found on the coast of Pulau Datok, Sutera Village, Sukadana District, with a height of 8,1-14 m, and volume is 47,72 m³.  The fruit production of penage trees on Datok Island is ± 31,14 kg / tree. Penage tree crown area on the coast of Datok Island is 647,26 m2 or an average area of 9,25 m2/tree. The size of crown area and tree diameter correlated with fruit production where greater the crown size and tree diameter, Fruit production is getting biger. Keywords: penage, number of trees, crown area and fruit production

Abstract

This study aims to look at the content and potential of biomass and carbon stored in forest stumpage meranti, to see the potential of meranti wood plant stand to absorb CO2 from the atmosphere, and to develop allometric equations of potential biomass, carbon stocks and sequestration of CO2 by growth dimensions (diameter) for the relationship between the diameter of the potential of biomass, the relationship between the diameter of the carbon potential, and the relationship between the diameter of the CO2 sequestration potential .. The results showed that the potential of tree biomass (kg / ha) on the plant Shorea leprosula based on 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8 age classes ranging from 1787.39 to 16.74 gr. While the carbon potential crop trees Shorea leprosula ranged from 1046.13 to 10.88 kg. Potential plant Shorea leprosula 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8 year old to absorb CO2 (kg / tonne) from the atmosphere ranges from 4243.7 to 58.97 kg. Allometric equations that manggambarkan-diameter tree biomass relationship is Y = 63.180 D1, 680. Allometric equations that manggambarkan-carbon tree diameter relationship is Y = 33.627 D1, 683. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to estimate biomass and stored carbon in the forest of Eucalyptus pellita and its potency to adsorb atmospheric CO2. The allometric equation was then developed based on growth dimension and tree volume. Method that utilized is survey's method asosiatif's descriptive by gathers height data and diameter of Eucalyptus pellita one that available at HTI PT. Finnantara Intiga Kabupaten Sintang, 1, 2, 4, and 5 years old. Develop allometric's equation utilizes to methodic regression. The result show that the potential average biomass in stands of Eucalyptus pellita are 69,392 tons C/ha. While the potential of Eucalyptus pellita stands to absorb atmospheric CO2 ranges from 3,783 135,128 tons/ha/years. To estimate relationship betwen diameter and biomass of tree of Eucalyptus pellita, the developed allometric equations is Y=6.622D5,306 , relationship betwen diameter and tree carbon is Y=2.980D5,306, relationship betwen diameter and absorb CO2 (g) is Y=10.940D5,306 with R2=95,2%. While relationship betwen volume and biomass is Y=1,235V0,997, relationship betwen volume and tree carbon is Y=0,556V0,997, and relationship betwen volume and absorb CO2 (g) is Y=2,040V0,997 with R2=99,9%. Abstract

Forests are one of the natural resources that can absorb a lot of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that is bound and converted into a form of energy (sugar group) that is beneficial for many lives, biomass is a whole material derived from living things, which comes from organic matter that lives or dies, both above and below ground level. This research was conducted in post-mining areas aimed at finding out the potential of tree carbon reserves in reclamation blocks using allometric equations. There are 4 post-mining reclamation blocs. each block there are 2 types of trees namely Karet (Hevea brasiliensis) and Akasia (Acacia crassicarpa). This study uses the allometric formula of the 2 types of trees producing a total carbon of 293.55tons, this is influenced by the growth of tree diameter and area of mine reclamation land in PT. Citra Mineral Investindo, the 2nd species tree, has a good adaptation to the former mine land that lacks nutrients and nutrients although it will inhibit the growth of stem diameter.Keywords: mine reclamation, carbon stock.AbstrakHutan merupakan salah satu sumber daya alam yang dapat menyerap banyak karbondioksida yang ada di atmosfer yang diikat dan diubah menjadi sebuah bentuk energi (gugus gula) yang bermanfaat bagi banyak kehidupan, biomassa merupakan keseluruhan materi yang berasal dari makhluk hidup, yang berasal dari bahan organik yang hidup maupun mati, baik diatas maupun dibawah permukaan tanah. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kawasan pasca tambangan bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi cadangan karbon pohon di blok reklamasi dengan menggunakan persamaan allometrik. Penelitian terdapat 4 blok reklamasi pasca tambang setiap blok terdapat ke-2 jenis pohon yaitu Karet (Hevea brasiliensis) dan Akasia (Acacia crassicarpa). Penelitian ini menggunakan rumus allometrik dari ke-2 jenis pohon menghasilkan karbon total sebesar 293,55 ton, hal ini dipengaruhi oleh pertumbuhan diameter pohon dan luas lahan reklamasi tambang di PT. Citra Mineral Investindo, ke-2 jenis pohon mempunyai adaptasi yang baik pada lahan bekas tambang yang kurang unsur hara dan nutrisi walaupun akan menghambat pertumbuhan diameter batang.Kata kunci: reklamasi tambang, cadangan karbon.
