Abstract

PLTMH (Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro) merupakan teknologi yang memanfaatkan debit air disekitar lingkungan untuk dijadikan sebagai salah satu sumber energi listrik. Ada tiga komponen utama yang ada pada mikrohidro antara lain yaitu: air sebagai sumber energi, turbin, serta generator. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kelebihan, kekurangan, serta pemanfaatan PLTMH yang ramah lingkungan di pondok pesantren nahdlatut thalibin. Ada dua metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pengumpulan data serta studi kepustakaan. Pembangkit listrik tenaga mikrohidro di pondok pesantren ini pengadaannya hanya berskala kecil. Total energi listrik yang dihasilkan oleh PLTMH dapat memasok energi listrik sekitar 9.000 watt. Perawatan PLTMH dilakukan secara rutin dan samngat mudah untuk dilakukan. PLTMH yang digunakan dipesantren ini terdapat beberapa kelemahan, salah satunya yaitu jika cuaca sedang kemarau atau debit airnya kurang, maka tidak dapat menjalankan turbin.

Abstract

Tantangan implementasi STEAM di sekolah pada materi pemanasan global salah satunya adalah waktu, alat dan bahan, serta kreatifitas guru, sedangkan kurikulum merdeka menuntut adanya produk yang dihasilkan dari pendalaman konsep materi belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kebutuhan guru terhadap e module berbasis STEAM untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif, data dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar kuesioner campuran dengan 20 pertanyaan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 14 guru IPA dari sekolah kepesisiran Situbondo yang dipilih secara acak. Berdasarkan hasil peneltian 28.6% guru IPA sangat setuju dan 71.4% setuju terhadap pengembangan e module berbasis STEAM dan kurikulum merdeka untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Simpulannya adalah guru membutuhkan pengembangan e module berbasis STEAM dan kurikulum merdeka yang mudah dipahami, mudah digunakan, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan proses sains siswa yang dapat digunakan untuk guru dan siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penilitan ini ialah untuk 1. Menganalisis pengaruh suhu roasting terhadap massa jenis biji kopi robusta menggunakan mesin roasting tipe hot air 2. Menganalisis pengaruh lama waktu roasting terhadap massa jenis biji kopi robusta menggunakan mesin roasting tipe hot air 3. Mengetahui suhu dan lama waktu roasting yang cocok untuk biji kopi robusta. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Garage of Hore pada tanggal 15 September 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan biji kopi robusta dari gunung Tegalsari kecamatan Kalibaru kabupaten Banyuwangi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi, observasi, dan uji coba/eksperimen. Analisis data menggunakan bantuan SPSS regresi linier sederhana dengan menggunakan rumus Y = aX + b. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, menunjukkan bahwa 1. Suhu roasting terus mengalami kenaikan tetapi massa jenis semakin berkurang, hal ini menunjukkan hubungan terbalik antara suhu dengan massa jenis biji kopi robusta 2. Semakin lama di roasting maka berat kopi akan mengalami penurunan dikarenakan kadar air dalam biji kopi sudah mulai mengalami penurunan, hal ini menunjukkan hubungan terbalik antara lama waktu dengan massa jenis biji kopi robusta 3. Hasil suhu roasting terbaik dan bisa digunakan untuk penyeduhan adalah dalam suhu dalam waktu 15-20 menit.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA sangat berkaitan dengan segala sesuatu yang terjadi di alam ataupun pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Kemampuan literasi sains dan pemecahan masalah pada materi zat aditif dan zat adiktif penting untuk dilakukan pada setiap kegiatan pembelajaran bab tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui literasi sains dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMP pada materi zat aditif dan zat adiktif siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 8E dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 29 siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dari hasil tes literasi sains dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa masing-masing sebanyak 10 soal. Hasil pada penelitian ini adalah literasi sains siswa dengan persentase terbanyak adalah kriteria cukup sebesar 57,14% dan pada indikator petama mengidentifikasi pendapat ilmiah yang valid juga menjadi indikator persentase terbanyak yaitu 40%. Pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa keiteria dengan persentase terbanyak adalah sangat baik sebesar 62,06% dan indikator pertama yaitu memahami masalah menjadi indiaktor dengan persentase terbanyak yaitu 41,37%. Dengan demikian, maka persentase literasi sains mengalami peningkatan maka akan membuat kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa juga mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract

Coffee production in Sidomulyo Village, located at the foot of Mount Gumitir, Silo District, Jember Regency, is famous for being very abundant. This condition is very supportive of the increasing needs of coffee drink lovers. However, the taste of ready-to-brewed ground coffee produced by the Sidomulyo Koperasi WANITA is still unable to compete with coffee on the market. This activity aimed to provide training on civet coffee production through the dry coffee bean fermentation method as a primary ingredient. The fermentation process was carried out using a Magnetic Fermentation machine which was the result of research in 2020. The fermentation process training activity was attended by 15 members of the Koperasi WANITA. 50 kg of dry coffee was fermented using a Magnetic Fermenter machine. Dry coffee was soaked first in warm water (temperature around 30 - 400C) for 5 hours. Then it was drained and put in a fermenter box by adjusting the intensity of the ELF magnetic field to around 300 T for 90 minutes. The coffee beans were transferred to buckets and ripened for up to 5 days, then washed and sun-dried for three days, after drying in Roasting and continue grinding. The targeted outputs of this activity included scientific publications in the National Journal of Abdimas with ISSN. The results of this activity had produced fermented coffee beans that had been roasted in the form of roasted coffee beans and ground coffee. Based on the results of the evaluation, the members of the Ketakasi Koperasi already had skills in producing artificial Luwak coffee. This had the potential to develop superior products for Sidomulyo civet coffee.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the understanding of Physics Education students at the University of Jember regarding the benefits and dangers of UV rays for health through multi-representation graphs and graphs. This study used a descriptive method with a quantitative approach through questionnaires to 50 students of Physics Education at the University of Jember, namely the 2nd semester students and 4th semester students.The data sources were obtained from a multiple choice questionnaire which included 10 verbal and graphic questions with 5 verbal questions and 5 questions. validated graph questions. The results of respondents' answers will be analyzed in describing the ability of Physics Education students at the University of Jember in understanding the benefits and dangers of UV rays for health through verbal and graphic multi-representation. Based on research that has shown that Physics Education students at the University of Jember better understand the material given or seen in questions with graphical representation results, it is seen from the average value of correct answers to verbal representation questions of 71.06% and the average correct answers for about graph representation of 39.76%. The percentage of 71.06% indicates that not all Physics Education students at the University of Jember understand the benefits and dangers of UV rays for health. This is because the sun in semester 2 students has not been given courses that discuss radiation and the small percentage of correct answers with graphical representations because the level of difficulty of the questions is higher related to questions of verbal representation. Keywords: UV radiation, Benefit of UV rays, Danger of UV Rays, Verbal Representation, Graphic Representation ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Jember mengenai manfaat dan bahaya sinar UV bagi kesehatan melalui multirepresentasi verbal dan grafik . Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui kuisioner terhadap 50 mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Jember yaitu pada mahasiswa semester 2 dan mahasiswa semester 4. Sumber data diperoleh dari kuisioner berbentuk pilihan ganda yang meliputi soal verbal dan grafik  sebanyak 10 soal dengan 5 soal verbal dan 5 soal grafik yang telah divalidasi. Hasil jawaban responden akan dianalisis dalam  mendeskripsikan kemampuan mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Jember  dalam memahami manfaat dan bahaya sinar UV bagi kesehatan melalui multirepresentasi verbal dan grafik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Jember lebih memahami materi yang diberikan atau dilihat dalam bentuk soal dengan representasi verbal daripada representasi grafik yaitu dilihat dari nilai rata – rata jawaban benar soal representasi verbal sebesar 71,06% dan rata – rata jawaban benar untuk soal representasi grafik sebesar 39,76%. Prosentase sebesar 71,06 % menunjukkan bahwa tidak semua mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Jember memahami manfaat dan bahaya Sinar UV bagi kesehatan. Hal ini dikarenakan pada mahasiswa semester 2 belum diberikan mata kuliah yang membahas mengenai  radiasi matahari dan kecilnya prosentasi jawaban benar dengan representasi grafik karena tingkat kesulitan soal lebih tinggi daripada soal dengan representasi verbal. Abstract

This research aimed to study the effect of GI-GI model on students scienceprocess skills and students multirepresentation ability of circular motion concept.This type of research was experimental research by post-test only control design.This research was conducted in SMAN 1 Jenggawah. Population in this study werestudents of class X at SMAN 1 Jenggawah of Academic Year 2016/2017. Sampleswere taken with cluster random sampling, X IPA 1 as an experiment class and X IPA2 a control class. The techniques of data collection were observation, interviews,documentation and testing. The technique of data analysis used independent samplet-test. The results of this analysis were obtained significance value of 0,000 forscience process skills of student and 0,000 for multiple representation ability ofstudent. It can be concluded that model of GI-GI give significantly effect on studentsscience process skills and students multirepresentation ability in learning circularmotion at SMAN 1 Jenggawah.Key words: circular motion, GI-GI model, multirepresentation ability, scienceprocess skills

Abstract

This research focuses on the implementation of GI-GI (Group Investigation-Guided Inquiry) model in elasticity learning at senior high school. This research aimed to describe student’s science process skills during using the model and to study affect the model on student’s physics learning achievement. This type of research is experiment research by post-test only control design. The population of this research is students of class XI IPA in SMAN Kalisat and the sample is two classes, XI IPA 3 as an experiment group and XI IPA 3 as a control group. Data collection techniques are observation, documentation, interview, and test. Data analysis techniques to describe student’s science process skills use descriptive analysis, to study affect the model on student’s physics learning achievement use independent sample t-test on SPSS 22. Finding this research are: (1) The average percentage of student’s basic science process skills is 69.14% included fairly good criteria, while the average percentage of student’s integrated science process skills is 81.96% included good criteria. (2) The significance value is 0,000 or <0.05 and it show that the model has a significant affect on student’s physics learning achievement. The research can be concluded that student’s basic and integrated science process skills during using GI-GI model are in fairly good criteria and good criteria. GI-GI model has a significant affect on student’s physics learning achievement. Key word: elasticity, GI-GI model, student’s learning achievement, student’s science process skills

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the mastery of gas kinetic theory concepts using the HOTS-based Bloom’s taxonomy on the eleventh grade students at MAN Jember. The type of research used descriptive qualitative and quantitative research. The subject were the students of the eleventh grade. There are 33 students at MAN A Jember, 25 students at MAN B Jember, and 37 students at MAN C Jember. The data collection method is obtained through written tests, documentation, and interviews. The instrumen used a description test question consisting of 8 items based on Bloom’s taxonomic indicators based on HOTS, namely analyzing (C4), evaluating (C5), and creating (C6) on the kinetic theory of gas material that had been studied before the test was admistered data is obtaimed from students answer scores in answering diagnostic test question. Based on the result of the research, the level of mastery of the concept of MAN A Jember students is sufficient with a percentange of 42%, students of MAN B Jember by 30% with a low category, and student of MAN C Jember with a percentange of 41% categorized sufficient. Based on the percentange of each school, the average mastery of concepts in MAN Jember was 38% with a low category.Key word: mastery of concepts, gas kinetic theory, and Bloom’s taxonomy.

Abstract

The current study is based on the needs of human life that cannot be separated from the role of electricity. This is why the demand for electricity is getting increased, so it requires the construction of transmission channels, one of them is SUTT. Without realizing it, the channel emits magnetic field. The exposure to magnetic field generated by SUTT has extremely low frequency since the rate commonly used in Indonesia is 50 Hz. The purpose of the current study was to find out the distribution pattern of magnetic field radiation intensity below SUTT 150 kV and the influence of roof types to the decrease of ELF magnetic field intensity by SUTT 150 kV. The study design was field experiment using measuring devices of magnetic field with EMF-827. The results confirmed that the area under the phase wires had the greatest magnetic field intensity, that was almost 70 times bigger than that of the natural magnetic field intensity. Based on the data collection, the use of roof barrier did not effect to the decrease of the magnetic field intensity because the decrease had segnificantly occured at farther distance from the phase wires without using roof barriers. All the results of magnetic field intensity measurements was still below the limit allowed by WHO. The results of the current study can be used as new understanding for Indonesians, especially those who still live under the transmission line
