Abstract

Communication ethics is still a problem in the public domain, especially on social media. There were several viral cases on the internet due to ethical issues in communicating on social media lately. The bias of social media space as private space which is consumed publicly has caused ethical problems in the field of communication. This ethical problem needs to be overcome by educating society about communication ethics in the public sphere, especially on social media. This study aims to describe the concept of empan papan as one of the key concepts in Javanese communication ethics. Based on literature studies combined with hermeneutic analysis, the results show that empan papan can be an alternative communication ethics in the era of information technology. Empan papan is the concept of Javanese situational communication ethics which emphasizes communication on five principles, namely the principle of self-placement, the principle of truth, the principle of accuracy, the principle of situation, and the principle of conditions. This study recommends the need to educate society about the use of communication ethics on board leaders in social media.

Abstract

Lasem yang berada di Kabupaten Rembang memiliki peran penting di masa lalu sejak masa Kerajaan Majapahit. Secara geografis terletak di pantai utara Jawa dimana pada masa dulu perdagangan antar bangsa ramai dilakukan di daerah tersebut. Lasem sebagai panggung pertemuan masyarakat antar bangsa melatih masyarakatnya berpikiran terbuka terhadap pengaruh dan lebih toleran. Peninggalan-peninggalan di masa lalu baik berupa artefak ataupun warisan nilai-nilai budaya masih sangat kental dirasakan hingga saat ini. Pelestarian pusaka dengan menjadikannya sebagai wisata budaya akan membangkitkan kembali kejayaan Lasem di masa kini. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis ketahanan sosial pemuda khususnya pemuda yang tergabung di Yayasan Lasem Heritage (YLH) dalam melestarikan warisan pusaka Lasem dengan mengelolanya sebagai potensi wisata budaya.Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi non-partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan purposive sampling, dan dokumentasi selama berada di Lasem. Data dianalisis dengan teori pemberdayaan masyarakat John Friedmann dan ketahanan sosial dari Keck dan Sakdalporak.Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa tahapan-tahapan pemberdayaan pemuda YLH yang terdiri dari: (1) enabling dengan diadakannya klinik-klinik belajar oleh “Kesengsem Lasem”. (2) empowering yakni memberikan kesempatan kepada YLH untuk mengaktualisasikan ilmu yang didapat ketika mengikuti klinik belajar dengan menyediakan paket wisata Lasem, menjadi tour guide bagi wisatawan yang datang ke Lasem, serta berkolaborasi dengan pelaku usaha setempat untuk menyediakan amenitas dan atraksi wisata bagi wisatawan. (3) protecting dilakukan oleh founder “Kesengsem Lasem” dengan membuka akses bagi YLH untuk mendapatkan dukungan dari berbagai pihak berupa bantuan modal serta promosi dan pemasaran wisata budaya beserta produk lokal Lasem melalui pameran daring dan luring. Pemberdayaan pemuda YLH yang dilakukan oleh founder “Kesengsem Lasem” berimplikasi pada ketahanan sosial organisasi tersebut dalam mengelola wisata budaya di Lasem hingga saat ini.

Abstract

Reinterpretasi Nasionalisme dengan Pendekatan Teori Matriks. Penelitian ini berupaya menginterpretasikan ulang dan mendefinisikan kembali konsep nasionalisme dengan menggunakan pendekatan metode Teori Matriks. Mengingat perubahan pola kehidupan masyarakat, upaya reinterpretasi makna nasionalisme menjadi penting untuk menjaga pemahaman kolektif terhadap salah satu unsur utama persatuan bangsa. Pemilihan metode Teori Matriks, yang merupakan salah satu model penelitian kualitatif, disebabkan telah banyak tokoh yang mendefinisikan nasionalisme dengan berbagai perspektif. Dismping itu, metode ini dipilih karena berguna untuk mengefisiensikan teori atau definisi yang beragam, multi makna, dan abstrak; untuk menghindarkan pameran atau parade definisi yang tidak terlalu relevan. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa hasil interpretasi atau pemaknaan atas konsep nasionalisme yang lebih sesuai dengan perkembangan jaman saat ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji Pemikiran Karen Armstrong tentang Pluralisme Agama. Pluralisme agama adalah salah satu dari sudut pandang dalam filsafat agama. Penelitian ini berusaha menganalisis untuk menemukan landasan filosofis pemikiran pluralisme agama Karen Armstrong. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pluralisme agama dalam filsafat agama merupakan cara pandang atau sikap dalam menghadapi keberagaman agama, dan konsep pluralisme agama Karen Armstrong adalah tipe pluralisme etika global dengan inti ajarannya adalah compassion. Compassion merupakan landasan filosofis pluralisme agama, yakni compassion sebagai common-platform dari agama-agama dunia;compassion sebagai bagian dari kebenaran dan keselamatan yang absolut dan universal; serta compassion sebagai bentuk aplikatif ajaran agama.

Abstract

This study described the diversity of higher order thinking skills in the evaluation instrument for Pancasila Education textbooks in universities and analyzed the level of conformity of higher order thinking skills in the evaluation instrument for Pancasila Education textbooks in universities. This study used a qualitative approach with the type of descriptive research. Data were collected utilizing observation and document study. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive, interpretive techniques through data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The study results indicated that the evaluation instrument in the Pancasila Education textbook contained all the criteria for higher-order thinking skills, including critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and creative thinking. However, the evaluation instrument in the Pancasila Education textbook, which contained criteria for higher-order thinking skills, was only 36 out of 78 items. Therefore, the Pancasila Education textbook needed to be revised again because the number of analyzing levels was more dominant than evaluating and creating. In addition, the cognitive domain in the Pancasila Education textbook was out of tune with the National Higher Education Standards guidelines.

Abstract

Indonesia is known as a country with a diversity of cultures, ethnicities, and religions. On one hand, this diversity can be seen as a potential. But on the other hand, religious and ethnic diversity can sometimes cause friction in society. Currently, digital technology such as social media plays a role in maintaining and spreading conflicts related to diversity. Therefore, an effort is needed to create educational content related to inter-religious tolerance. One of them is through the branding of the tolerance village which can provide real examples related to people's lives with religious diversity. Wirotaman Village, Ampelgading, Malang Regency, which is known to have a community with religious diversity, is an appropriate target. Through community service activities, a team from Universitas Brawijaya invites youth who are members of Karang Taruna to brand Wirotaman Village as a village of tolerance. The service is carried out through training on the use of sosial media as a means of branding and the preparation of educational content regarding religious tolerance. The method applied is a participatory approach and interactive learning through training. As a result, the youth of Wirotaman Village are educated about the potential of Wirotaman Village, as well as the importance of using sosial media as a means of branding and village progress. In addition, the youth of Wirotaman Village also gain knowledge in content creation and social media management which they can use as a means of education, especially with regard to tolerance in society.

Abstract

This community service program in Ngroto Village, Pujon District, Malang Regency aims to increase community understanding and skills in formulating rules for participating villages. This activity was launched to follow up on the results of a previous study on the obstacles to village code formation. In principle, the formation of a village order in Ngroto Village follows the path specified in Permendagri No. 111 of 2014 from the Technical Guidelines for the Village Law, however, sometimes the process of forming the village order encounters obstacles. The obstacles that arise are: (1) the identification of opportunities and problems as outlined in the draft village regulations is not precise, detailed and complete; (2) lack of direct participation from some communities in drafting village regulations; (3) the process of drafting village regulations took longer during the Covid-19 pandemic; (4) lack of socialization and knowledge of village officials' projects; and (5) the lack of dissemination of village regulations which were transferred to the RT/RW level. This non-profit activity is carried out through advocacy and facilitation methods. Finally, an ideal village can be created through optimal community participation in the village development process, where the village government leadership responds to the wishes and aspirations of the village community.
