Abstract

Tujuan dari Penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa peran surau dalam pemberdayaan pendidikan di Minangkabau melalui kajian studi pustaka atau library research sebagai metode dalam penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis buku, artikel-artikel yang telah dipublikasikan, guna melihat peran surau sebagai wadah pemberdayaan pendidikan di Minangkabau. Temuan ini menghasilkan beberapa model pemberdayaan pendidikan yang diterapkan oleh masyarakat Minangkabau melalui surau diantaranya: a) surau sebagai wadah dalam pemecahan masalah, b) surau sebagai wadah dalam lembaga pendidikan Islam tradisional, c) surau sebagai wadah tempat musyawarah. Hasil dari temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi suatu bahan kajian dalam melakukan pemberdayaan terhadap masyarakat pada bidang pendidikan melalui keberadaan surau sebagai lembaga yang berkearifan lokal di minangkabau.

Abstract

The children who live in the orphanage are not all orphans, but there are some children who are being cared for due to lack of financial funds to get an education. There are various problems in the lives of foster children, ranging from social problems, psychological problems, and religious problems. One of the solutions provided by the orphanage is to provide an approach to strengthening religious guidance in the form of memorizing the Al-Quran which is guided by the caregivers at the orphanage. This Al-Quran memorizing activity, apart from being a religious guidance activity, is also a means to take a psychological approach to children with religious values. The research method that the researchers did was qualitative descriptive research. This study uses a qualitative approach. Efforts to EmpowerChildren Through Memorizing Al-Quran Activities at the Muhammadiyah Lima Kaum Orphanage in Tanah Datar Regency are carried out by the foundation, namely with the target of memorizing 3 juz of Al-Quran in 3 years, providing caregivers for foster children, and also providing Al-Quran facilities that help foster children in memorizing and applying rules and regulations and are also given rewards or prizes to facilitate children's memorization.

Abstract

The definition of poverty is very diverse, ranging from just the inability to fulfill basic needs and improve conditions to a broader understanding that includes social and moral components. The purpose of this study was to analyze the process of Community Empowerment through the PKPU Program in Pasar Lalang, Kuranji Village, Padang City. The usefulness of this research is to reveal the process of community empowerment through the PKPU program at Pasar Lalang, to find out how far the empowerment process carried out by PKPU Kota Padang in empowering the Lalang Market community in accordance with the concepts of empowerment. This research is in the form of qualitative descriptive, namely presenting facts and symptoms in the field and then analyzed so that the final conclusions are clearly understood. In collecting data the author uses the method of interview, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the study obtained several facts seen from various things. First seen from the process of liberation and awareness carried out by PKPU, the realization was in the form of socialization and enlightenment in the form of lectures held at mosques and open fields that had been prepared in advance. Pasar Lalang community is given the motivation to be able to change their lives for the better. After that PKPU socialized the programs they will provide to the community.
