Abstract

The purposes of this research is to describe entrepreneurial skill and its influence on sustained business growth. This research expect to obtain a new concept of Business Administration Study especially on entrepreneurial skills and sustained business growth. The locus of this study is business organization (small industry) and focused on entrepreneurial skill and sustained business growth. Descriptive analyses was used to describe the condition of research object. This is a survey research which is used questionaire as basic data instrument. So, the method of this research is explanatory survey. The population size of this research is 750 small industry, and sample size is 150 small industry according to the criteria specified in the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that the entrepreneurship skills affect sustained business growth, this result explains that the hypothesis tested. The magnitude of the influence of entrepreneurial skills for sustained business growth of small industries in Sukabumi is significantly determined by the personal entrepreneurial skills, business management skills and technical skills. This study reinforces the concept of Hisrich, et al, Frinces, Baum, et al and Lee and Tsang about entrepreneurship skills will have a positive impact on business growth. However, this study finding that entrepreneurship skills affect sustained business growth,sustained growth mean industry grow in a time period. For entrepreneurial skill variable, the results showed that the business management skills as a dominant factor that reflected entrepreneurial skill and personal entrepreneurial is the less factor. This suggests that entrepreneurial skills can really only be learned (entrepreneur are made) not only the legacy of the inherent entrepreneurial hereditary (traditional). This study indicate for small scale industry, high entrepreneurial skill not also raise the credibility of venture to gain financing externally. It's the specified characteristic of small industry. So, supporting from government in regulation and capital is very important to get investor believes.

Abstract

Business growth is a process to business success. Cooperative as a business entity in the form of business entity, has a good growth indicator of profitability aspect size organization, the amount of human resources, asset growth, credibility in the eyes of finance institutions and others. This study aims to describe the growth of cooperatives from the point of view of the credibility of financing from external financing. This research uses descriptive analysis. The condition of external financing credibility is described from the results of a survey of 34 cooperative management representatives in Pangandaran Regency. Interviews were conducted on cooperative management and Section Head of Protection and Empowerment of Cooperatives in Pangandaran Regency. The results showed that the level of trust of external financing to cooperatives in Pangandaran Regency is 38.82%. This shows that the trust of external parties in providing capital loans is still lacking. Keywords: Business Growth, External Financing Credibility

Abstract

The Covid-19 outbreak has had implications for various areas of life, including health, economics and social. The economic impact is felt by all economic actors. This study aims to analyze the impact of the risk of Covid-19 on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bandung City and formulate policy steps for these MSMEs. The research method used in this research is a combination research method, namely quantitative and qualitative methods. Primary data collection techniques through distributing questionnaires to MSMEs business actors during the Pandemic. Secondary data were collected from government reports, mass media news, as well as sources from journals and research reports. The research was carried out from April to July 2020. The results showed the impact of PSBB felt by MSMEs in the form of a decrease in sales of 92%, 77% of demand, an increase in raw material prices of 53%, 48% of financial difficulties, 45% of production constraints, of raw material difficulties 49 % and distribution barriers 38%. The research concludes that the implementation of PSBB in Indonesia is unlikely to be prolonged. The effect of implementation has a direct impact on MSMEs that lose income. The recovery needed by MSMEs is market access. Acceleration of recovery can be done by making policies for the procurement of goods and services supplied by MSMEs. The government is advised to campaign for “spending from MSMEs.” Capital assistance is provided in the form of low-interest loans with a wide payback period for additional working capital needs.
