Abstract

Kelompok petani pengembang agensia hayati (KPPAH) Dadi Makmur merupakan salah satu kelompok tani di Kabupaten Sleman yang secara aktif menerapkan pengendalian biologis dengan memanfaatkan jamur entomopatogen Beauveria bassiana. Permasalahannya adalah produksi agensia hayati ini terkendala oleh ketersediaan kultur aktivator yang disuplai dari pihak lain. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya kegiatan peningkatan kemandirian dalam bentuk pelatihan dan pendampingan terkait proses pembuatan aktivator B. bassiana menggunakan prosedur yang dapat diaplikasikan pada skala rumah tangga. Tujuan program ini untuk memperkenalkan prosedur produksi aktivator B. bassiana sehingga dapat meningkatkan pemahaman, kemampuan teknis dan kemandirian dari KPPAH ini. Tahapan kegiatannya meliputi pemetaan level pengetahuan dasar melalui aktivitas focus group discussion (FGD), pelatihan laboratorium dan pendampingan produksi aktivator B. bassiana di lokasi mitra. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemandirian yang sangat signifikan dalam produksi aktivator (inokulum F2 dan F3) (100%), inkubasi inokulum F2 dan F3 (73,4%), dan mengamati karakteristik inokulum yang siap untuk diaplikasikan (75%). Ditinjau dari segi kemampuan teknis, anggota KPPAH Dadi Makmur menunjukkan tingkat kecakapan yang berbeda, terutama dalam kegiatan produksi inokulum F2 dan F3.[Dadi Makmur is one of farmer communities in Sleman Regency that has applied the biological control actively and continously by utilizing the entomopathogenic fungus, Beauveria bassiana. The main problems found are this fungus production was constrained by the limited supply of activator culture from other party. Therefore, an independency improvement activity, in the form of training and supervision, is urgently needed, particularly related to the production of B. bassiana starter culture using an applicable method for home industry. This program was aimed to introduce the procedure used in the production of starter culture, thus it could improve the understanding, technical skill and the independency of this community. This activity consisted of several steps, such as mapping of basic understanding level through focus group discussion, laboratory training and on-site supervision of B. bassiana starter production. The results recorded a significant increase on people’s independency in the preparation of activator culture (F2 and F3) (100%), incubation of activator culture (73.4%) and characterization of a ready-to-apply inoculum (75%). Based on the technical skill, each member performed various levels of performance, particularly during the preparation of starter culture.]

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah menentukan konsentrasi asam sulfat optimum pada proses hidrolisa asam, mengisolasi jamur penghasil amylase dan memformulasi inovasi starter dari jamur dan yeast serta menguji prototipe alat destilator yang telah dimodifikasi untuk menghasilkan bioetanol dengan rendemen tinggi. Metode penelitian terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu : (1) Hidrolisis asam, (2) isolasi jamur penghasil amylase, (3) optimasi fermentasi menggunakan starter inovatif, (4) Produksi Bioetanol dengan modifikasi desain destilator bersirip tiga dan penambahan regulator untuk control temperature dari motor servo. Inovasi starter diuji daya hidrolisis pati. Hasil Hidrolisis asam dan fermentasi diuji jod, gula reduksi, pH, asam tertitrasi, rendemen alcohol dan kadar etanol. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Proses hidrolisis asam limbah kantin memerlukan konsentrasi asam sulfat optimum 0,1N sebesar 10 %. Diperoleh jamur Aspergillus sp yang terbukti dapat menghidrolisis pati. Fermentasi limbah kantin menggunakan inovasi starter ragi tape dapat menghasilkan rendemen tertinggi (5 ml) dengan kadar alcohol 3%. Inovasi pesangan sirip-sirip di evaporator pada proses destilasi bioetanol terbukti mempercepat pemanasan .Pemasangan regulator dengan kontrol temperature dan motor servo, sudah dapat mencapai suhu 70-80 derajat, namun belum stabil. Abstract

The main problem of rice production in Kranggan village is mainly due to the lack of water, low soil fertility, high cost of seeds and fertiliser, which resulted in small output despite the overuse of synthetic fertilisers. In this activity, we described the accompaniment and application of SRI method for rice cultivation, particularly for the women farmer’s group. This community service aimed to improve the knowledge, insight, and skill in rice cultivation by employing SRI method to save the water, reduce the cost of seeds and fertiliser, and increasing time efficiency in rice production. It was anticipated that such an approach would result in the environmentally friendly production of healthy rice. The activity of community service was based on a survey to analyse the agricultural status of Kranggan village, extension activity on the application SRI method for rice cultivation, practical training and demonstration of rice cultivation plot using SRI method, and healthy rice packaging by the members of Women Farmer’s Group. The activities were then followed by pre-test and post-test to confirm the improvement of knowledge and skill. The results of the community service demonstrated that the use PowerPoint method for knowledge delivery increased the understanding of SRI system by 89%, while direct training in organic NPK fertiliser production and seagrass POC increased the skill by 85%. Besides, the accompaniment of the Women Farmer’s Group up to the post-harvest period empowered the group members as the rice production was environmentally friendly, lowered the cost, reduced the use of water and labour cost, resulted in the production of healthy rice, and increased selling price by 50%. Keywords: System of Rice Intensification, the Women Farmer’s Group Kranggan

Abstract

Kelompok petani pengembang agensia hayati (KPPAH) Dadi Makmur merupakan salah satu kelompoktani di Kabupaten Sleman yang secara aktif menerapkan pengendalian biologis dengan memanfaatkanjamur entomopatogen Beauveria bassiana. Salah satu permasalahan yang menjadi kendala dalamproduksi agensia hayati ini adalah tingginya kontaminasi akibat proses sterilisasi yang kurang memenuhisyarat. Hal ini dapat disebabkan karena kurangnya pemahaman dan kemampuan dalam hal prinsipdasar pembuatan media. Oleh karena itu, metode sederhana pembuatan media perlu diperkenalkan.Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan teknis anggota KPPAHDadi Makmur dalam menyiapkan media kultur Beauveria bassiana agar media yang dihasilkan mampumemenuhi tingkat sterilitas yang dibutuhkan. Pengabdian ini terdiri atas beberapa tahapan, mulai darisurvei kondisi awal KPPAH, penyuluhan dan pelatihan laboratorium. Kegiatan penyuluhan, pelatihanlaboratorium dan pendampingan difokuskan pada prosedur preparasi dan sterilisasi media menggunakanautoklaf dan panci bertekanan (pressure cooker). Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahamandan kemampuan dalam hal preparasi media (100%) dan sterilisasi (71%). Selain itu, penggunaanautoklaf dan panci bertekanan tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata terhadap kualitas inokulumBeauveria bassiana yang dihasilkan. Hal ini menegaskan bahwa proses sterilisasi media dapat dilakukansecara optimal di rumah menggunakan panci bertekanan.

Abstract

The production of tempe by AULIA has created a new problem of smelly liquid waste. This problem may be overcome by converting the waste to organic liquid fertilizer for healthy vegetable cultivation. In this project, the women employee of AULIA tempe producer were trained in a program to utilize tempe liquid waste for healthy vegetable cultivation. The objective of this project was to improve their awareness of the environmental problem and convert such waste for healthy vegetable production. The activities during the training included counseling, training, and assistance in the production of activators, healthy vegetable cultivation by utilizing organic liquid fertilizer made of tempe liquid waste. The training was evaluated by conducting pre-and post-test to view the trainee's capability in absorbing the training program. Following the training, the trainee demonstrated their ability to absorb the training program as evidenced by their improved knowledge of the use of liquid organic waste (POC) by 34.4% and enhanced skill of organic liquid fertilizer and healthy vegetable cultivation by 66.7%. The result of the training program was the production of an organic liquid fertilizer marked as POCUMY. It was also found that POCUMY increased the show's healthy appearance of collards, chili, tomato, and eggplant. The training program conducted in this project has undoubtedly improved the trainee's skill in producing organic liquid waste and its use as a fertilizer for vegetable cultivation for family consumption.

Abstract

Rice production in Muhammadiyah Godean farmers is still low at around 5 tons/ha. One of the problems is the use of seeds that are too old, the growth power is low, so it requires large amounts of seeds. The solution is to be given the understanding and skills in seed selection using a salt solution so that the seeds are pithy, have high growth power, and are efficient. The purpose of empowering Muhammadiyah Godean farmers is to increase their knowledge and skills regarding seed selection using the salt solution in System of Rice Intensification (SRI) rice cultivation. The Direct Learning method is applied in program implementation. The activities carried out include counseling, training, and assistance during seed selection, testing for growth power, and seed quality. The evaluation results using pre and post-tests showed that 53% of farmers had already known the salt selection method but had not been able to do it (53%) and were very eager to learn (80%). After counseling, there was an increase in understanding of 47%. The program results stated that all farmers understood (100%) and could select seeds using the salt solution method, and 73% found it easy. SRI rice cultivation with the initial stages of seed selection with the salt solution selection method can be obtained seed efficiency of about 60-75%.

Abstract

PPAH Dadi Makmur adalah Kelompok Petani Pengembang Agen Hayati bertempat di Desa Jlegongan, Seyegan, Sleman. Kegiatannya penyuluhan, pelatihan, pendampingan dan pembuatan beberapa produk agen hayati untuk pengendalian hama & penyakit. Produknya Beauveria sp. Metharrizium sp, Trichoderma sp. PGPR, Corynebacterium, POC. Permasalahannya adalah mutu produk agen hayati yang belum terstandardisasi. Solusinya adalah penyuluhan dan pelatihan tentang penjaminan mutu produk agen hayati. Kegiatannya meliputi: penyuluhan tentang standardisasi produk agen hayati & penjaminan mutu, pelatihan untuk Pengujian Mutu Produk Agen Hayati & Teknik Labeling, Pendampingan dan Monev terhadap mitra selama menstandarisasi produk & penjaminan mutu serta Monev terhadap mitra selama menerapkan Pengelolaan Manajemen Operasional), dievaluasi dengan pre-test dan post-tes. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penyuluhan meningkatkan pengetahuan anggota PPAH Dadi Makmur tentang mutu produk dan profesionalisme manajemen sebesar 75%. Dengan pelatihan maka ketrampilan anggota PPAH Dadi Makmur dalam penjaminan mutu produk Agen hayati meningkat 50%. Ada 4 produk agen hayati yang sudah teruji mutunya dengan teknik pelabelan sesuai standar

Abstract

Koperasi Agro Sejahtera Muhammadiyah (KOPASAMU) bergerak dibidang pertanian dan perikanan, di Nogotirto, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Salah satu kelompok anggotanya adalah petani singkong di Kalasan yang hasil masih rendah yaitu 5-10 ton/ha. Antara lain karena penggunaan bibit yang terlalu tua, tekstur tanah yang keras dan kesulitan mendapatkan pupuk anorganik. Permasalahannya adalah bagaimana meningkatkan hasil singkong. Solusinya adalah menstimulasi akar singkong dengan aplikasi inokulum mikoriza untuk meningkatkan serapan hara pada tanaman Singkong. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan hasil singkong dengan inokulasi mikoriza. Kegiatannya meliputi : penyuluhan dan pelatihan tentang perbanyakan dan aplikasi mikoriza pada tanaman singkong, Pendampingan dan Monev terhadap mitra selama aplikasi mikoriza pada budidaya singkong, serta dievaluasi dengan pre-tes dan post-tes. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penyuluhan dapat 88meningkatkan pengetahuan petani singkong tentang mikoriza sebesar 88,9%. Dengan pelatihan maka ketrampilan petani dalam memperbanyak dan aplikais mikoriza meningkat 77,9%. Inokulasi Mikoriza dapat meningkatkan hasil singkong sebesar 48%.

Abstract

The sustainability of Grammatophyllum scriptum  orchids in nature is threatened due to excessive harvesting which results in changes and damage to the orchid's growing habitat. G. scriptum  orchid is one of the endemic orchids that has uniqueness and high economic value. In vitro culture propagation  of G. scriptum orchids  is carried out to multiply and maintain the existence of the orchid. The use of alternative media  in vitro culture  is carried out to minimize the cost of making the medium and utilize materials available in nature. The utilization of Ambonese banana peel waste that has not been carried out optimally is considered to be one of the choices as an alternative medium in propagation  of G. scriptum  orchids This study aims to determine the most appropriate combination of foliar fertilizer and banana peel concentration for in vitro multiplication of orchid explants and to  examine the effect of the combination of leaf fertilizer and banana peel concentration on the multiplication of orchid explantsVitro. The study will be carried out using a single-factor experimental method with 8 treatments, arranged according to the Complete Randomized Design (RAL). The treatment tried was in vitro culture of G. scriptum  orchids  on Growmore media  and Ambonese banana peels including inner banana peels of 50g/L and 100g/L; outer banana peel 50 g/L and 100 g/L; banana peel combined 50 g / L and 100 g / L. The results showed the addition of Ambon banana peel had an influence on the percentage of life and growth of shoots,   leaves and roots of G. scriptum  orchid plants Treatment with the addition of a combined banana peel of 50 g / L in leaf fertilizer medium provides the best growth in terms of the percentage of life, plant height growth, leaves and plant roots.
