Abstract

SARIPengukuran deformasi dengan metoda GPS serta penyelidikan kegempaan dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat kegiatan vulkanik di Gunung Lokon sehubungan dengan munculnya sinar api pada dinding Kawah Tompaluan yang terjadi sejak awal 2009. Hasil pengukuran GPS menunjukkan bahwa deformasi yang terjadi tidak murni berasal dari aktivitas vulkanik, tetapi dipengaruhi juga oleh aktivitas tektonik di sekitarnya. Hasil pengukuran lokasi pusat tekanan menunjukkan kedalaman yang relatif dangkal (< 2 km). Kedalaman ini berasosiasi dengan zona aseismik yang diperoleh dengan metoda seismik.Kegempaan selama Januari-Maret 2010 didominasi oleh gempa hembusan. Dominasi gempa ini merupakan implikasi dari proses pelepasan gas akibat pemanasan batuan di dasar Kawah Tompaluan.Kata kunci: Gunung Lokon, deformasi, GPS, pusat tekanan, proses pelepasan gasABSTRACTSeismic and deformation methods using GPS was carried out to determine volcanic activity of Gunung Lokon due to glare appearance at the bottom of the Tompaluan Crater that has been occurring since early 2009. GPS measurement result showed that the deformation of Gunung Lokon is not only come from its volcanic activity but also influenced by tectonic force around the volcano. Location of pressure source has relatively shallow depth (< 2 km). This depth is associated with aseismic zone that determined by seismic method.Seismic activity during January-March 2010 was dominated by emission earthquake. This kind of earthquake possible as degassing implication due to rock heating at the bottom of Kawah Tompaluan.Keywords: Gunung Lokon, deformation, GPS, pressure source, degassing

Abstract

ABSTRAKGunung Lokon memiliki karakter erupsi yang diawali oleh letusan freatik yang berlangsung beberapa bulan dan biasanya berakhir dengan letusan magmatik yang berlangsung singkat. Aktivitas tahun 2011 diawali oleh letusan freatik pada 22 Februari 2011 dan berulang pada 26 Juni 2011. Pada Juli 2011 kejadianletusan semakin intensif. Sampai dengan Maret 2012 letusan terjadi setiap bulan. Gejala awal setiap periode letusan diamati secara visual serta instrumental dengan menggunakan metoda kegempaan, geokimia, dan deformasi. Pengamatan kegempaan menunjukkan bahwa setiap kejadian letusan selalu diawali oleh peningkatan jumlah gempa vulkanik dangkal dan gempa hembusan serta membesarnya amplituda tremor. Fenomena tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan tekanan fl uida sebelum letusan. Peningkatan tekanan fl uida terjadi akibat proses pelepasan gas yang diikuti proses pembentukan sumbat lava yang menyebabkan kelebihan tekanan dalam konduit, ditandai dengan peningkatan gempa vulkanik dangkal. Erupsi eksplosif terjadi jika tekanan menurun secara tiba-tiba akibat rekahan pada sumbat lava. Hasil pengamatan kegempaan berkorelasi dengan hasil pengukuran deformasi yang menunjukkan adanya pemendekan dan hasil pengukuran nilai fl ux SO2 yang turun menjelang letusan.Kata kunci: letusan, freatik, gempa vulkanik dangkal, gempa hembusanABSTRACTThe characteristics of Lokon eruption is preceded by phreatic eruptions that lasted within several months and usually ends with a short magmatic eruption. The activity in 2011 was preceded by phreatic eruption on 22 February and repeated on 26 June. In July 2011, the eruptions occurred more intensively. As of March 2012 the eruption occured every month. The precursor of each eruption period was observed visually and instrumentally using seismicity, geochemistry and deformation methods. Seismicity observation showed that every eruption event was preceded by the increase in number of shallow volcanic and gasemission earthquakes and enlargement of tremor amplitude. These phenomena indicated that an increase in fluid pressure occurred prior to eruptions. The increase in fl uid pressure occurred due to gas release process followed by lava plug formation that causes over pressure of the magma in the conduit, whichwas characterized by the increase in shallow volcanic earthquakes. Abstract

Background: Multidrug therapy (MDT) which is recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) for multibacillary (MB) leprosy patients has some side effects; it is given in 12 doses over 12-18 months. Patients who refuse or are contraindicated in undertaking MDT-WHO can be given alternative rifampicin-ofloxacin-minocycline (ROM) regimen for 24 months, whose side effects are less but more expensive. This study was conducted to compare the effectiveness between ROM and MDT-WHO regimen in the first 12 months based on the derivation in morphological index (MI) of acid-fast bacilli (AFB) in MB leprosy patient.Methods: This was an observational analytical study with retrospective cohort method. Data was collected from medical records of MB leprosy patients in the Medical Record Installation and Morbus Hansen Clinic, Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital Bandung. The overall derivation in MI in 12 months was assessed according to the type of therapy undertaken by the patient. Data was analyzed by Mann-Whitney U Test.Results: A total of 59 data were selected out of 800 data of new leprosy patients based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Among those, 20 patients were treated by ROM and 39 by MDT-WHO. Derivation of MI occurred among both groups, but ROM regimen had higher percentage (94.83%) compared with MDT-WHO regimen (79.57%) with p value=0.003 (p <0.05). Abstract

Background: Dermatophytes thrive in warm, humid, and moist areas. Wearing the same socks more than A day is one predisposing factor. The aim of this study is to detect the dermatophyte between the fourth and fifth toes of medical students of Universitas Padjadjaran, who wear and do not wear socks.Methods: This was a cross-sectional descriptive study performed in Microbiology Laboratory of Faculty of Medicine Universitas Padjadjaran from September to October 2013. Direct microscopic examination using 10% Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) was performed on 50 medical students, 25 students who wear socks and 25 students who do not wear socks. The samples were taken from scraped skin between the fourth and fifth toes using the cellophane tape method. The sample size is obtained via stratified random sampling.Results: From all participants, two students (4%) showed positive result of dermatophyte hyphae and 1 student (2%) showed positive result of dermatophyte hyphae and arthrospore. Of these three students, two students wear socks and one student does not wear socks. The two students who wear socks changed their socks more than a day.Conclusions: Dermatophyte was detected in only a few medical students of Universitas Padjadjaran, who wear and do not wear socks. Abstract

Management of national park has been facing problems due to budgeting limitation. One of the idea to reorient conservation areas management from cost center to profit center is developing self finance national park. The objectives of this research were aimed to describe business model of Gunung Palung National Park; to construct business model of self-finance Gunung Palung National Park, and to formulate development strategy toward self-finance of Gunung Palung National Park. The research used business model canvas analysis.  The results showed that business model of Gunung Palung National Park has strengths in addressing weaknesses in each of the components and can take advantage of opportunities to fine-tune its business model.  Business model of self finance Gunung Palung National Park was categorized as business to business (B2B) model which sold products and services by partner companies. Keywords : business model, environment condition, Gunung Palung National Park

Abstract

The Sunda clouded leopard (Neofelis diardi Cuvier, 1823) is the largest predator and the keystone species on Borneo Island. Therefore, the existence of N. diardi is very important to maintain the stability and healthy of ecosystems in Kalimantan Forest. Sebangau National Park (SNP), Central Kalimantan Province is one of the important habitats for this species because it is formed by peat swamp ecosystem and it has function to maintain the balance of the global climate. Data of the distribution factors of N. diardi were expected to used for monitoring and inventorying of population this species, especially in SNP. Data collection was conducted from June until November 2014 through methods of 12 track-sets; 9 units camera traps; and signs of animal presence likely footprints, feces, claws, scratches, scrapes, and vocalizations in 2 grids, each size 6 x 6 km2. This study results show that the distribution of N. diardi is affected by five factors namely, the distance from water source (P = 0,002); the distance from the potential of disturbance (P = 0,017); forest canopy density (P= 0,04); peat depth (P = 0,002); and habitat types in the SNP (P = 0,011). Only the altitude factor does not affect the distribution of N. diardi (P = 0,064) at SNP. Furthermore, this study also indicates that the presence and abundance of animal preys as another factor affecting the distribution of N. diardi at SNP. This condition is caused by the tendency of N. diardi encounter in a RAI values of animal preys on medium-grade (9,38; 10,53) and high (14,52; 18,60; 18,60). Finally, this study also demonstrates that the existence of N. diardi can be considered as an indicator species for forest in good condition. Keyword : keystone species, Neofelis diardi, peat swamp ecosystem, top predator

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Islamic Work Ethics in Improving the Quality of Work of PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Tbk Makassar Main Branch Office (Case Study of Human Resources). The method of analysis used in this research is qualitative research methods. The subject of research is the application of Islamic work ethics in improving the quality of work of employees, especially frontliners based on indicators of improving the quality of employee work with Muamalat IDEAL (Modern Professional Islamic). Abstract

Selain menjadi salah satu komponen penting pada suatu kendaraan, ban karet juga merupakan salah satu bahan tambah pilihan dalam pembuatan campuran beton, hal ini disebabkan karena sifatnya yang fleksibel sehingga dapat meningkatkan daktilitas beton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kekuatan beton berserat karet setelah terkena panas tinggi. Penggunaan bahan tambah ban karet ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kekuatan beton setelah mengalami kebakaran. Selain itu, akan berguna untuk memberikan nilai tambah limbah yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal khususnya sebagai bahan bangunan (ramah lingkungan).Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan kubus beton berukuran 5×5×5 cm dengan variasi penambahan karet 0%, 3%, 5 dan 8% dari berat semen sebanyak 20 sampel. Pengujian sampel berupa uji bakar dan uji tekan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa beton dengan tambahan ban karet mempunyai nilai kuat tekan yang lebih tinggi. Pemakaian ban karet sebesar 5% dari berat semen menaikkan nilai kuat tekan sebesar 51,7%. Pada umur 28 hari kekuatan beton menjadi 473,44 kg/cm2, apabila dibandingkan terhadap beton normal tanpa bahan tambah. Berdasarkan penelitin ini disimpulkan penambahan serat karet dapat mengganti kehilangan air pada beton akibat panas tinggi sehingga dapat meningkatkan kekuatan beton.Kata kunci : ban karet, bahan tambah, panas tinggi

Abstract

In this paper we reprove generalized H\"{o}lder's inequality in weak Morrey spaces.In particular, we get sharper bounds than those in \cite{gunawan2}. Thebounds are obtained through the relation of weak Morrey spaces and weakLebesgue spaces.
