Abstract

Senior High School number 3 in Padang is International Standard School Stubs, which began seriously in optimizing library information system in order to improve competence. Witg the developments of information system book online library that uses PHP and SMS Gateway can make it easier for members to borrow of books. The library information system can also facilitate admin in arranging the books, borrowing, repayment and fines are all done by DBMS. In order to get accurate and precise reports. Abstract

Pregnancy is a precious moment which is awaited by any married couples. Most people think that a marriage without children is not perfect. In the other hand, nine months of pregnancy is not an easy thing to get through, especially for the first pregnancy. So many changes happen to the mother along the pregnancy period. The deficient of knowledge and the lack of information about pregnancy become obstacle for the mothers-to-be to go through a period of their pregnancy. Utilizing the advance of science and communication technology nowadays, we can get various information about pregnancy easily. With the availability of mobile pregnancy assistant software based on android with file capacity 2mb for installation so that  not become a handicap for the devices. User, especially pregnant women can get information about pregnancy age,  estimation of birth  , pregnancy information, pregnancy tips and Islamic name choice provided in the mobile pregnancy assistant. This software is installer which operating in Android platform version 2.2 (Froyo) with Java programming language, built using Eclipse as IDE. Abstract

The development of today's modern technological advances led to the need of the internet can not be avoided. The ability of the Internet as a modern media of information and communication can be an effective and efficient means for the exchange and dissemination of information globally unhindered by distance, time differences and geographical factors by users around the world. The use of the internet at the moment many abused for things that are negative as appearance of various kinds of websites that contain pornographic and more easily to get internet access extensively without strict control so it can be accessible to anyone, including minors. Monitoring and filtering action is required against these sites. This study aims to assist the government in the implementation of anti-pornography laws and the parents in monitoring their children by blocking sites that contain pornography. Blocking system in this website monitoring application (filtering) is based on code that has been made. This application is one kind of standalone application that can be run without the need for prior installation on Windows operating systems. For the manufacture of user interface used programming languages Visual Basic 2010.The results showed that the monitoring application can perform filtering by looking every caption on the programs that are running, and then match it with the program code that has been made. If there is a match, then the application will close the program. This application can be hidden so that computer users will not be aware of the time of filtering. This application also has a feature to store the results of monitoring during the computer is being used so that will be easier to control  the use of computer. Keyword : Monitoring, Filtering, Pornography

Abstract

English is the language most widely used in the world. English is the most popular in the world while the language most widely adopted as the official language in several countries and international organizations. There are 53 countries and 10 international organizations that use English as the official language. In addition, almost all countries in the world would adopt English as a second language after their own national language. In the working world, some companies generally use TOEIC to help find qualified employees to speak English. TOEIC is a test used to measure a person's ability to speak English. In TOEIC, there is a series of tests to be done. TOEIC score itself is widely used for the requirements for the company. For example, PT Pertamina (Persero).The course fee and cost Toeic tests are relatively expensive to make the most of those who need to learn self-taught TOEIC score and perform simulation before following Toeic test. But the self-taught through books deemed less effective, uninteresting, monotonous, boring and can not be used in dark places. And applications for free circulation in the Play Store app is paid mostly.Applications will Toeic authors designed using the Java programming language and Eclipse as editor, and is a free application that can be used offline. The TOEIC app provides four main menu tips and tricks, Toeic simulation, solution, and about. On the menu Tips and Tricks provides ways TOEIC do the problems easily. On the menu Toeic simulation contains questions TOEIC. On the menu solution contains a discussion of the TOEIC simulation has been done so that the user can understand TOEIC matter of discussion given. Abstract

The increasing information needs resulting the need of the information development systems also increased. The presence of a system development will help an agency to facilitate the management of your data and present a quality information. Any education world did not escape from its touch. The integration of information technology into the world of education has created a major influence. One of the products of integration of information technology into the world of education is e-learning. State University of Padang (UNP) has started to implement e-learning lesson in the process. Through the services of the technical services unit (PUSKOM) of the UNP, the development of e-learning that has started from the end of the year 2013 which in its utility is integrated with academic information systems and academic portal that is already running. It is becoming the cornerstone for the research which is related to the condition of existing system now. Whether e-learning really has accepted its existence by the student as a user. This study aims to reveal the influence of the framework of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) against the acceptance of the application of UNP e-learning information system. Techniques of sampling was done randomly and sharing as well as proportional (Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling). Data of the number of students as the user is obtained from PUSKOM. The data framework of TAM who is deciding factors in the acceptance of the application of E-learning, such as the perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness of, attitude toward using, and actual use, which becomes a variable in this study were collected through the questionnaire by using the Likert scale in the calculation that has tested the validity and reliability. Then the data were analyzed using statistical methods to analyze its effects. The results of the analysis of the data indicates that the variables research jointly has the influence on the acceptance of the E-learning application.Keywords  : Information system, E-learning, Technology Acceptance Model, TAM

Abstract

The efforts in order to find an effective methods to improve the students  learning outcomes are very important. The field assessment has conducted to class x student’s, department of Audio Video Engineering of SMKN 1 Lintau Buo depicting  students learning outcomes below minimum completeness criterium of 75. This research aims to compare applying Quantum Teaching Method to problem based learning (PBL) by using Quasi experiment with pre-test post-test control group design, the both of methods have compared with. Experiment class I by applied Quantum Teaching provides class mean score of 81.44, while experiment class II by applied PBL yields class mean score of 77.78. By using t-test, it can be described that Quantum Teaching is more effective than PBL  significantly. This is because if tscorebigger than ttable (2.06 > 2.03), and consequently H0 is rejected. Despite the both methods actually show the small difference, but however, The Quantum Teaching has proven better than PBL viewing from students learning outcomes. Abstract

The problem in this research is the fact that found in SMK N 1 Bukittinggi, there are many students of class X Audio Video Engineering  is result study of learning outcomes below the minimum standard (KKM) in the subject Fundamentals of electricity at school set is set 75. Total students that are under KKM 60.35% and students those are above KKM 39.65%. Many factors that affect it, those are internal factors and external factors, as well as the learning model. This study aims to prove the existence of differences in learning outcomes using learning Active Learning Model Type "Giving Question and Getting Answers " with direct instructional model (MPL).  This study uses a Quasi Experimental Design, this study population is a class X student of SMK N 1 Bukittinggi TAV academic year 2013/2014. Sample technique done by randomly. Experiment class is a class that is treated by using the Active Learning Model Application Effects of Learning Type "Giving Question and Getting Answers " and that becames the control group is a class that uses MPL. Data of achievement test in the form of 20 questions about the essay. Data obtained from the analysis of the data manually to test for normality, homogeneity, hypothesis testing, research test results obtained from the average value of students learning model that uses Active Learning Type "Giving Questions and Getting Answers" is 79.53 while students are using the MPL amounting to 60.78. The result of the hypothesis by using the formula manually found that tcount 9.886> 2.35 ttable altenative hypothesis (H0) is rejected and (H1) is accepted. That means, significantly the average experimental class learning outcomes greater than the average of the control class learning outcomes. Abstract

This research was motivated by a decline in performance on the BTS Batang Marau, which indicates the level of Rx Level, Rx Qual and SQI not meet KPI targets, so the presence of the area around the base stations that do not meet the standard Rx Level to make phone calls (blankspot). The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of GSM 900 and 1800 networks, as well as to improve the performance of base stations Batang Marau Power Link Budget calculation method. This study discusses the improving performance of GSM network at the site decreased performance, where performance is observed through measurement results based on the data drive test. The results of data analysis showed : (1) From the analysis, GSM 1800 already meet KPI targets for Rx Level >95 %, Rx Qual >94 % and SQI >93 %. In GSM 900 results analysis and Rx Qual SQI already meet the target KPI Rx Qual  >94 % and SQI >93 %, while the results of the analysis of Rx level at 09.00 already reached the target KPI >95 %, at 15:00 and 20:00, still has not reached the target KPI <95 %, which indicates the time of measurement using tools Tems Investigation, there are several areas that Rx the level of poor quality. (2) Value Rx level in the area around the base stations are <-95 dBm indicates blankspot area (can lead to a drop call). (3) The estimated increase in performance on the GSM network by the method of link power budget on the BTS Batang Marau  shows 69.3 dBm Rx Level (Good quality) at a distance of 2.5 km, so it can be concluded that the performance of GSM 900 base stations have been increased Batang Marau performances.

Abstract

The capital city of West Sumatera, Padang, had so many event to increase its tourism. Every year, the domestic tourist coming and passing by to Padang, increasing the consumption of fuel in Padang. However, the information about location of gas station in Padang is not easy-to access. The focus of this project is to provide the information about location of gas station in Padang. This project aims to help people to find track between gas station. The systems are designed with a web-based map layers represented by MapServer. The data (maps) was made with ArcGIS and MapInfo, digitized into shapefile form (vector model), the track finder using Dijkstra’s Algorithm. As well as general contained in the database storage system using the application postresql and PostGIS, implemented into web pages via PHP. This outcomes of this project is a geographic information system that provides general information of gas station in Padang. Visitors can find the location based on the name of the gas station. Then the system provide the track between gas station and track from the point that visitor decide. General information will be displayed in tabular form and location information is displayed in the form of maps showing the location of the point. Keywords: Geograpic Information System, Algorithm, Dijkstra, MapServer, OpenLayer, PostgreSQL/PostGis.

Abstract

Based on the survey data of optical fiber service, the communication network uses optical fiber transmission medium is not maximal yet, because there are some errors in the network, such as the percentage of Network Post Dialing Delay in system is 97.5%, that means there is 2.5% of error a delay occurs in the network when making a call. This research was conducted by analyzing the fiber attenuation of fiber-optic communication systems performance on the link Padang-Bukittinggi in PT. Telkom Padang, SKSO division which uses single mode fiber optic cable types G655. Instrument in this study is the Power Meter and OTDR JDSU MTS-6000 type. Link Power Budget method is used to determine the performance of optical fiber communication systems caused by attenuation based on the value of the received power output. Obtained results on the link Padang-Bukittinggi highest attenuation occurs in core 5 with 26.7226 dB attenuation value and cable length 115 016 km, and in core 7 with 26.1812 dB and cable length 94 462 km. This value is still below of PT. Telkom standard with 28.10352 dB for core 5. While the attenuation value at 7 cores exceeds standard attenuation values​​, with 24.18186 dB, so the performance of the core is declared bad and needs to be evaluated. From optical fiber attenuation value, result of the link power budget analysis is obtained from the calculation of the value of Rx is smaller when compared with -27 dBm the value of Rx sensitivity, it can be said the performance of optical fiber communication systems on the link in the normal state and can be used to operate because the power output can be accepted by the receiver in the device.
