Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of the utilization of digital libraries and reading interests of students in the Faculty of Informatics Engineering at the State University of Padang to see the results of the achievement index of each student . This study is a correlational. Selection’s techniques of the informants in this study are using proportional random sampling , 54 respondents Department of Electronics Information Engineering Study Program . The technique of collecting data is using questionnaires and documentation class . Data were analyzed by used the statistical methods of correlation and regression . The results of data analysis showed : 1 ) The utilization of digital libraries contributed 18.5 % , for the results of achievement index , 2 ) for Reading students contributed 18.1 % , for the results of achievement index , 3 ) utilization of digital libraries and reading interests of students together contributed 24.9 % of the index results in the achievement of students majoring in informatics engineering education courses in the faculty of engineering , State University of Padang..

Abstract

   This study aims to determine the influence of cooperative learning model two stay two stray learning outcomes in electrical and electronics elementary subjects of x class students majoring in electronics engineering at SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. This type of research is an experimental with intact group comparison design.The research sample is class X TE 2A as experiment class using cooperative learning model Two Stay Two Stray and class X TE 2B as control class using Problem Based Learning model. Technique of collecting data from post-test every meeting in experiment class and control class, then analyzed for homogeneity test, normality test and hypothesis test. From the experimental class research results obtained an average value of 81,13 while the control class get an average value of 74,06. The result of hypothesis calculation at significant level α = 0,05 got tcount> ttable that is 2,996> 1,697, because big tcount of ttable, null hypothesis (H0) rejected and alternative hypothesis (Ha) accepted. Can be concluded means at the real level, this study shows that, there is influence of positive learning outcomes between the use of cooperative learning model type Two Stay Two Stray with the model of Problem Based Learning in Electrical and Electronics Elementary students X class students majoring in electronics  engineering at SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. So the results of student learning Two Stay Two Stray  can increase the learning outcomes of students and made student more active on study.Keywords: Learning Outcomes , Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS), Poblem Based Learning (PBL).

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low average learning outcomes of learners on Electrical and Electronics Elementary subjects is under the Minimum Criteria of completeness (KKM) that has been established SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Melintang is 75. This study aims to determine the influence of the use of Pictorial Riddlemethod with Cooperative learning on student learning outcomes in Electrical and Electronics Elementary subjects in class X TAV SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Melintang. This type of research is experimental research with Postest Only Control Design. The research sample is XTAV2 class as experiment class using Pictorial Riddle Method and XTAV1 class as control class using Cooperative learning. Technique of collecting data from final test in experiment class and control class, then analyzed for homogeneity test, normality test and hypothesis test. From the experimental class research results obtained an average value of 83.22, while the control class get an average value of 75.83. Result of hypothesis calculation at significant level α = 0,05 got tcount> ttable that is 3,2> 1,674, because big tcount of ttable, null hypothesis (H0) rejected and alternative hypothesis (H1) accepted. Can be concluded mean at the real level, this research shows that, there is influence of positive student learning result between the use of Pictorial Riddle Method with Cooperative learning on Electrical and Electronics Elementary subjects in class X TAV SMK Negeri 1 Lembah Melintang Pasaman Barat. Abstract

The problem in this study is the low average learning outcomes of students on subjects Applying Electric and Electronics Engineering Basics is under the Minimum Criterion of completeness (KKM) which has been established SMKN 5 Padang is 75. This study aims to determine the effect of application of learning models Contextual Teaching & Learning and Problem Base Learning model on student learning outcomes on subjects Applying Electric and Electronics EngineeringBasics of students Audio Video Techniques at SMKN 5 Padang 2017/2018. The type of this research is experimental research with Pre experimental design with NonProbability Sampling design. The sample of research is class 1E 1B as experiment class using Contextual Teaching & Learningmodel and class 1E 1A as control class using Problem Base Learning model. Data collection techniques from post-test in the experimental class and control class, then analyzed for homogeneity test, normality test and hypothesis test. From the experimental class research results obtained an average value of 82.47, while the control class gets an average value of 77.88 with more influence6 %. The result of hypothesis calculation at significant level α = 0,05 got count> ttable that is 2,869>1,696, because big count of ttable, null hypothesis (Ho) rejected and alternative hypothesis (Ha) accepted. Can be concluded mean at the real level, this research shows that, there is influence of student learning result which signifikan between usage model ofContextual Teaching & Learning type with Problem Base Learning model on subjects Applying Electric and Electronics Engineering Basics of student of Audio Video Technique at SMKN 5 Padang. So the Contextual Teaching & Learninglearning model is gives better than results to the Problem Base Learning.Keywords : Learning outcomes, Model of Learning,Contextual Teaching & Learning, Problem Base Learning.

Abstract

This research was intended to disclose the extent to which the spatial visual intelligence and the teacher’s professional competence contributed either independently or simultaneously toward the students’ learning achievement. The population of the research was the students in class X of SMKN 1 Kecamatan Luak Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota that consisted of 65 students. By using simple random sampling technique, 40 students then were taken as the sample. The data in the form of the students’ learning achievement was gotten from the teacher of graphic design majoring in Multimedia. Meanwhile the data of the students’ spatial visual intelligence and the teacher’s professional competence was gotten through questionnaires administered to the students. The result of the research indicated that (1) the spatial visual intelligence and the teacher’s professional competence simultaneously contributed significantly (30,8%) toward the students’ learning achievement, (2) the spatial visual intelligence contributed significantly (17,8%) toward the students’ learning achievement, and (3) the teacher’s professional competence contributed significantly (10,6%) toward the students’ learning achievement. Based on these results, it was concluded that the spatial visual intelligence and the teacher’s professional competence had a contribution toward the students’ learning achievement in SMKN 1 Kecamatan Luak Kabupaten Lima Puluh kota.   Kata Kunci :Kecerdasan Spasial Visual, Kompetensi Profesional Guru, Hasil Belajar

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the contribution of learning motivation and competence of the teacher's personality on learning outcomes computer skills and information management SMKN Taman Fajar Peueulak. The hypothesis is: (1) learning motivation and competence of the teacher's personality together contribute significantly to the learning outcomes, (2) learning motivation contribute significantly to the learning outcomes and (3) Competence of teachers‘s personality contribute significantly to the learning outcomes. This research is classified in the study associative correlation. The data study outcome variables is from KKPI teacher and learning motivation and competence of the teacher's personality collected through questionnaires distributed to students by using a Likert scale and  has been tested for validity and reliability. Data is considered to have met the assumptions and requirements analysis; normal distribution of data, linear pattern, the data is homogeneous and there is no multicollinearity problem. The population was all students of class XI Computer Network Engineering in the academic year 2014/2015 with sampling using Taro Yamane formula involving 41 samples from 68 populations of students of class XI Computer Network Engineering of TKJ I and II. The results of data analysis showed: (1) learning motivation contribute to the learning outcomes of 10.17%, (2) competence of teachers personality contribute to the learning outcomes of 17.05%, and (3) learning motivation and competence of the teacher's personality contribute together  to the learning outcomes of 36.00%. The findings of this study is learning motivation  and competence of the teacher's personality are factors that influence student learning outcomes. However, of course there are other factors that also affect student learning outcomes. Keywords : Learning motivation, competence of the teacher's personality and computer skills and                    information management

Abstract

The problem of the research is the low learning results of the students on the subjects of computer systems of SMK Negeri 5 Padang. This is due to several factors one of which is the method or strategy learning that is less innovative. The purpose of the research is to know the difference of result the study by using cooperative learning model of type Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) on the subjects of a computer system class X TKJ of  SMK Negeri 5 Padang. This type of research is experimental. Where is to take the sampling by using random sampling technique. As the experimental class is class X TKJ A which will be treated by using cooperative learning model type STAD and control class is X TKJ B which will be treated by using inquiry model of learning. The technique of collecting data from post test, then analyzed for homogeneity test, normality test and hypothesis test. From the experimental class research results get the average value 82, 29, while the control class gets an average value of 76.93. The result of hypothesis calculation at significant level α = 0,05 got  thitung> ttabel  that is (2,182> 2,056) Because thitung  is bigger than ttabel hence hypothesis (H0) rejected and hypothesis (Ha) accepted. From the calculation of the learning result Gain where O1 is the average of the experimental class and O2 is the control class, the percentage of learning result is increased by 6.79%. It can be concluded that by using cooperative learning model of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type has an effect on student learning result which proves from improvement of learning result. Keyword    : Learning Resultss, Cooperative Learning Model TypeSTAD, Inquiry Learning Model.

Abstract

Sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) merupakan lembaga pendidikan kejuruan penghasil pekerja teknik tingkat menengah yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh dunia industri. Tenaga pengajar di SMK harus dapat meningkatkan kualitas lulusannya agar dipercaya oleh industri dan mempunyai daya saing tinggi. Pengetahuan yang relevan dengan dunia industri harus ditanamkan pada para peserta didik di SMK sebagai bekal masuk ke Industri nantinya. Kegiatan ceramah yang dilakukan oleh guru sama sekali tidak salah, namun ketika ceramah, interaksi guru dengan siswa kurang begitu berjalan, guru hanya cenderung ceramah dan tidak memperhatikan situasi dan kondisi siswa di kelas. Metode ceramah juga tidak bisa dilepaskan dari proses pembelajaran. Metode ceramah akan membuat siswa mendapat hasil belajar yang maksimal jika dikemas dengan lebih baik dan menarik. Tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran dasar kompetensi kejuruan tidak lepas dari peran utama seorang guru. Seorang guru tidak hanya dituntut sekedar menyampaikan ilmu, tetapi juga harus dapat menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang kondusif sehingga proses pembelajaran dapat belangsung secara aktif. Berdasarkan pertimbangan tersebut, maka diperlukan metode pembelajaran yang mampu melibatkan peran serta siswa secara menyeluruh sehingga kekuatan belajar mengajar tidak hanya didominasi oleh siswa-siswa tertentu saja. Pemilihan metode pembelajaran tersebut di harapkan dapat meningkatkan peran serta dan keaktifan siswa dalam mempelajari dan menelaah ilmu.
