Abstract

One of the limitations of children with autism is the limitations in speaking both expressively and receptively. As a result, there are communication problems between teachers and children with autism, children with autism, and parents and caregivers mutually. This article aims to prove the improvement of teacher skills in assessing the language skills of children with autism by special teachers through digital-based workshops. Workshop participants consisted of 25 autistic special teachers in West Sumatra. The data were collected through a questionnaire that was filled in by the participants and a skills test to perform an assessment and analyzed using quantitative descriptive. The workshop results showed that there was a significant increase in teacher skills between the pretest and posttest scores in assessing the language skills of children with digital-based autism.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui proses meningkatnya kemampuan menulis kalimat menggunakan model pembelajaran picture and picture dan untuk membuktikan bahwa model pembelajaran picture and picture dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis kalimat anak tunarungu di kelas VIII di SLB Negeri 2 Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Single Subjek Research (SSR). Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga kondisi, yaitu kondisi baseline pertama (A1) intervensi kedua (B) dan baseline ketiga (A2). Dalam penelitian ini teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pengumpulan data dengan observasi langsung. Didapatkan hasil bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran picture and picture dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis kalimat anak tuna rungu di kelas VIII di SLB Negeri 2 Padang

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang ditemukan di lapangan, adanya guru kelas yang kurang memiliki keterampilan dan ilmu pengetahuan tentang membuat kotak tisu dari koran bekas, sehingga mengakibatkan anak tunarungu juga mengalami masalah dalam membuat kotak tisu dari koran bekas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu observasi, dokumentasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1). Proses pembelajaran membuat kotak tisu pada anak tunarungu kelas VIII dilakukan dengan pendekatan PAKEM. 2). Hasil keterampilan membuat kotak tisu dari koran bekas meningkat melalui pendekatan PAKEM. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran keterampilan melalui pendekatan PAKEM dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membuat kotak tisu dari koran bekas.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar dimasa pandemi covid-19 (corona virus disease). Studi ini dilakukan dengan metode studi literatur. Literatur yang dikaji dapat berupa artikel, laporan, majalah, berita, dan lain sebagainya yang dapat dijadikan landasan dalam pengkajian sebuah topik. Hasil dari kajian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar di masa pandemi seperti faktor pola asuh orang tua, penyajian pembelajaran jarak jauh yang dilakukan oleh guru, dan adanya dukungan dari pemerintah dalam mendukung dan membantu dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran jarak jauh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses meningkatkan keterampilan bina diri dengan teknik shaping dan untuk membuktikan bahwa teknik shaping dapat meningkatkan keterampilan bina diri tunagrahita kelas V di SLB Negeri 2 Pariaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas V/C. Penelitian ini berkolaborasi dengan guru kelas dan peneliti sebagai pelaksana. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari empat kali pertemuan. Data  keterampilan bina diri diperoleh melalui observasi, tes dan catatan lapangan. Setelah diberikan perlakukan pada siklus I dan siklus II dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik shaping dapat meningkatkan keterampilan bina diri siswa tunagrahita ringan kelas V di SLB Negeri 2 Pariaman.

Abstract

This article discusses the improvement of the ability of the person of visually impaired in detecting object distance through the use of U-Qoserlin tools. This research used R & D method and continued with experiment. The subject of development experts consists of electrical engineering experts, orientation and mobility experts, and educational experts. The subject of the experiment consisted of five (5) the person of the visually impaired. The results of the study show that (1) U-Qoserlin tools are practical, feasible, useful and provide technological insights for the person of visually impaired; (2) the results of the data with the Mann Whitney test obtained the results of the smallest Uhit value is 9, and Utab at a significant level of 95% and α = 0.05 for n = 6 that is 5. Thus, U-Qoserlin tool effective in improving the ability to detect solid object spacing for the person of visually impaired. Abstract

This article examines the girls with deafness in schools who experience sexual harassment. The purpose of this study is to find a post-sexual harassment service model that is in accordance with the characteristics of girls with deafness and explain how schools pay attention to well-organized and theoretical programs using a preventive approach to mental health. Participants totaled 166 users consisting of 105 teachers, 38 students, 8 lecturers, 5 members of organizations for the deaf and other professions. The results showed that sexual harassment can occur physically and verbally towards the girls with deafness which can cause trauma. The girls with deafness are more at risk of being sexually abused than boys. They experienced very significant intimidation. The limited communication characteristics of girls with deafness cause trauma of sexual harassment, irrational beliefs that interfere with social functioning in the environment. There is a need for intervention in special mental health service programs such as REBT with Bisindo that are in accordance with the characteristics of students with deafness. The role of the teacher in preparing children to deal with face life in an increasingly complex society.

Abstract

Students who have learning disabilities are more often to get poor learning outcomes. One of several factors that affect the learning outcome is the teacher’s attitude. The research aims at finding the students’ opinions on teacher’s attitude towards the learning outcomes of students with learning disabilities in inclusive primary schools. This research applies quantitative approach. Data were collected using questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that teachers accept the learning achievements of students with learning disabilities in cognitive aspect (77.93%), affective aspect (80.50%), and conative aspect (77.92%).

Abstract

The study was conducted based on the problems found in the reality. There are deaf students who have difficulty in solving the counting operations in mathematics learning due to a lack of innovation in the use of teaching aids or media on the learning process or learning. The purpose of this study is to validate and develop mathematics learning media logic in improving the ability to counting number operations in deaf students. The type of research used is research & development, which is a research method used to produce certain products and test the validity of these products. The subject of this research and development trial is by related experts such as mathematicians and children with special needs specifically.The result of the data from the experts' validation test on the mathematics deaf logic learning media in improving the ability to calculate the counting numbers of deaf students based on four aspects, that is practicality aspect, the usefulness aspect and the feasibility aspect. Then, the mathematics learning media from the logic is revised by being re-developed, so that it can obtain the specifications as it. The final form of this product is in the form of mathematical learning media logic in improving the ability to counting number operations in deaf students.

Abstract

Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ditemukan di Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri 2  Padang, anak kesulitan dalam keterampilan tata boga karena guru kurang ikut serta  saat anak  melakukan proses pembelajaran disekolah. Penelitian ini berjuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan vokasional anak tunarungu, metode peneliti gunakan adalah metode ekprimen dengan pendekatan Single Subject Research, desain yang digunakan yaitu A-B-A. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa observasi langsung dan tes. Subject pada penelitian ini anak tunagrahita sedang kelas XI di SLBN 02 Padang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan kondisi kemampuan anak tunagrungu menggunakan metode pembelajaran langsung positif pada kemampuan keterampilan vokasional anak.
