Abstract

Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L) is one of the horticultural commodities which have commercial prospects and quite good. This study aimed determine the effect of application the best fermented cow urine concentration on growth and yield of lettuce plants. This research was conducted at the Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau Campus Bina Widya Simpang Baru village Panam District of Tampan, Pekanbaru in October to December 2016. This study was conducted experimentally using RAL 5 treatments with 3 replications. The treatments were P1: POC cow urine concentration of 30%, Q2: POC cow urine concentration of 35%, P3: POC cow urine concentration of 40%, P4: POC cow urine concentration of 45% and P5: POC cow urine concentration of 50%. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance followed by DNMRT at 5% level. The Parameters measured were plant height, leaf number, fresh weight and plant fresh weight unfit for consumption. The results showed that administration of fermented cow urine at a concentration of 45% indicates growth and better results on all parameters of lettuce plants and the use of cow urine concentration of 35% can be recommended to be applied. Keywords: Growth and yield, lettuce, POC fermented cow urine

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the combination of GA3 and young coconut water and to get the best treatment on the growth of occulationorange. The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, from June to October 2019. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of concentrations of growth regulators (Z), namely: Z1 = application ofGA33%, Z2 = application of coconut water young 75%, Z3 = combinationGA3 2% and young coconut water 25%, Z4 = combinationGA3 2% and young coconut water 50%, Z5 = combinationGA31% and young coconut water 25%, Z6 = combination GA3 1% and 50% young coconut water, consisting of 4 replications. Parameters observed were shoot emergence, number of branches, length of branches, increase in rootstock diameter, number of leaves and branch dry weight. The results showed that the combination of GA3 2% and 50% young coconut water showed the fastest shoot emergence time was 25.75 days, increasing the number of leaves namely 21.50 strands and branch dry weight of 1.65 grams. The combination of GA3 1% and 50% young coconut water showed better results in increasing the length of the branches and the dry weight of the branches.Keywords: gibberellin, young coconut water, oranges and budding.

Abstract

The research was conducted in the greenhouse of the Faculty of agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru Campus Binawidya Km 12.5 from January until July 2016. Trial using completely randomized design (CRD) factorial. The first factor soil water tension consists of 3 levels (pF 1,0-1,97, pF 2,29-2,54 and pF 2,70 - 3) and the second factor upland rice varieties consists of 3 varieties  (Santan, Kalpatali and Si Kuning). Treatment was repeated 3 times. Data results were analyzed statistically operates with anova and Duncan test continued level of 5%. The observed parameters is plant high, the maximum number of tillers, the number of productive tillers, dry weight of plants, harvesting, percentage of grain pithy, weight of dry milled grain and weight of 100 grains. Results indicate the interaction of soil water tension and local upland rice varieties significantly effect to plant hight, no except the maximum number of tillers, the number of productive tillers, dry weight of plants, harvesting, percentage of grain pithy, weight of dry milled grain and weight of 100 grains. Combination soil water tension pF 1 - 1,97 and santan variety is the best combination, because weight of dry milled grain yield tended more. Keywords: local varieties upland rice, soil water tension, Ultisol

Abstract

Cocoa is a plantation crop that had important role for the national economy. Increasedthe cocoa production and development was determined by the availability of high quality seedling. High quality seedling were obtained by  the high quality seed and and good breeding process by giving coconut water as a nature ZPT and using soil medium by adding rice husk compost.This research was carried out at Screen House and Plant Ecaphysiology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. This research was conducted experimentally using Completely Randomized Design (CDR) factorial consist of two factors. Fist factor was the consentrasion of coconut water consist of four level doses (25%, 50%,75% and 100%). Second factor was the rice husk compost dose consist of three leve doses (0 g dose per 5 kg soil,150 g dose per 5 kg soil and 300 g dose per 5 kg soil). The observed parameter include seed height, rod diamater, number of leaves, leaf area, root volume, root crown ratio, and dry seedling weight. Research finding showed that the combination 75% coconut water and 150g rice husk compost increased rod diameter and dry weight. By giving 100% coconut water concentrate  increased  plant height, leaf area and dry weight. By giving 150% rice husk compost increased plant height, rod diameter, root       volume, and dry            weight.Keywords: Cocoa, Coconut Water, Rice Husk Compost

Abstract

 The cultivation of white oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) is not many expanded yet in Indonesia, either the exertion chance or consumtion fulfillment of society. The purpose of the research is to find out the effect of giving various growth media and sugar and get the best combination will increase the production. This research has been conducted in the village of Pandau Jaya of Siak Hulu Kampar district in Riau Province in August until November of 2016. This research was carried out experimentally using a complete randomized design (CRD) factorial consisting of two factor. The first factor is growth media consist of 3 types sawdust, bagasse and tea waste. The second factor is dose of sucrose consist of 4 levels is without sucrose, 40 g, 80 g and 120 g, two factors combined to obtain 12 combined treatments and 4 replication, so there were obtained 48 units experimental each unit countain  2 baglog. Data were analyzed statistically and further test DNMRT at 5 %. The observer parameters is optimal growth of mycelium, pinhead appearance,harvest interval,number of mushrooms,diameter of mushroom hood, weight of mushrooms, biological efficiency. The result showed that the various growing media and the addition of sucrose have an effect on the growth of white oyster mushroom. The combination of growing media of bagasse with the addition of sucrose 40 g yields a mushroom weight of 123.22 g/baglog.Keyword: oyster mushroom, growth media, sugar (sucrose), growth

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of concentration of liquid organic fertilizer and determine the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer is best for growth and production of lettuce plants at different spacing. The experiment was conducted in experimental garden of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau on March 2017 until May 2017. This experiment was conducted experimentally by using Randomized Plot Design with Randomized Block Design consisting of 3 levels of spacing, namely: J1 = 15 cm x 15 cm, J2 = 20 cm x 20 cm, J3 = 25 cm x 25 cm, and liquid organic fertilizer consisting of 4 levels, namely: P1 = Without the application of liquid organic fertilizer, P2 = 1 ml/l water, P3 = 2 ml/l water, P4 = 3 ml/l water. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, total weight of plant, consumption weight of plant, crown dry weight, root dry weight and dry weight of plant. The data obtained were analyzed statistically with fingerprint and then tested further with DNMRT at 5% level. Provision of liquid organic fertilizer affect the growth of lettuce plants and the application of liquid organic fertilizer concentration of 3 ml/l of water at plant spacing of 25 cm x 25 cm showed the best results in improving the growth and production of lettuce. Keywords : organic liquid fertilizer, plant spacing, lettuce

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect Guano dan NPK fertilizer for the get interaction aplication Guano and NPK fertilizer for the growth and productthe results shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.). This research was aplied at agriculture experiment station of agricultural faculty Riau University, Pekanbaru City. This research start from January and finish at March 2019. This is are experiment researh by using Randomized Group Design (RGD) consisting of two factor. The first factor is aplication guano fertilizer for the three doses is G1 (500 g per plot), G2 (1000 g per plot), G3 (1500 g per plot). The two factor is aplication NPK fertilizer to three doses is N1 (10 g per plot), N2 (20 g per plot), N3 (30 g per plot). Combination two factor this is are mine treatment and every combination treatment replication for the three at twenty seven unit experiment. The results of this research showed combination aplication Guano 10 ton.ha-1 and NPK fertilizer 200 kg.ha-1 are the best doses for the can increases growth and products shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) for the every parameters. Keywords : Allium ascalonicum L., Guano fertilizer, NPK fertilizer.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out the best dose against the growth of seedlings of cacao. This research was carried out experimentally using a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replication, so that there were obtained 20 units experimental each unit countain  2 plant. The treatmentsof fermented manure dosage with TSP fertilizer enriched are: 0 ml/plant,250 ml/plant, 500 ml/plant,750 ml/plant, and 1000 ml/plant. Data obtained from research results are analyzed statistically and further test Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) level of 5%. The observed parameters werecrop, height increase the number of leaves, stem diameter, dry weight and root shoots ratio. The results showed that giving doses of 750 ml/plant gives influenced the growth of seedlings of cocoa and cocoa seedling growth can increase seen in high value added plant parameters, number of leaves, stem diameter, and dry weight of cocoa seedlings.The application of the fermentation of solid dung and urine TSP fertilizer enriched cow can increase the growth of seedlings of cocoa looks at the crop height increase, number of leaves, stem diameter, and dry weight of cocoa seedlings. fermentation of solid dung and urine enriched cow manure is best at doses of TSP dosing 750 ml/plant. the dose is 1000 ml/plant, no longer affected the growth of the seedlings.Keyword : The growth of, cacao seedlings, fermentation, solid dung and cow urine, TSP fertilizer

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the effect of composted contains cow rumen and get a dose of composted cow rumen content best to the growth and yield of mung bean. This research land conducted in UPT area of research Farm in Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University from January to March 2016. This research used a completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 6 treatments: K0: Without composted cow rumen contents, K1 : 10 ton/ha, K2: 20 ton/ha, K3: 30 ton/ha, K4: 40 ton/ha, K5: 50 ton/ha. Parameters measured were plant height, number of primary branch, flowering time, harvesting time, pods number per plant, the percentage of pithy pods number per plant, weight of 100 seeds and production per plot. The results of the research giving composting cow rumen content dose 20 ton/ha able to optimize growth and production of mung bean.Keywords: Compost, cow rumen contents, Mung bean, growth and yield

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of biogas liquid waste, the effect of N fertilizer and the interaction of the combination of biogas liquid waste fertilizer with N fertilizer, and to determine the dosage of biogas liquid waste, N fertilizer and combination of biogas liquid waste fertilizer with N fertilizer that can increase the production of plants mustard. This research was conducted experimentally using Randomized Block Design (RAK) which was arranged in factorial that consist of 2 factors.The first factor is the provision of biogas wastewater, L1 = Liquid waste fertilizer biogas 1 liter / m2, L2 = Liquid waste fertilizer biogas 3 liters / m2, L3 = Liquid waste fertilizer biogas 6 liters / m2, The second factor is the application of N fertilizer, U0 = No N fertilizer, U1 = N fertilizer 11.5 kg / ha equivalent to urea 25 kg / ha, U2 = Fertilizer N 23 kg / ha is equivalent to urea 50 kg / ha, From the above treatment, 9 combinations were obtained. Each experimental unit was repeated 3 times to obtain 27 experimental units and each unit of experiment was 20 plants, and 4 plants were taken as samples. Keywords: Biogas liquid waste, N and mustard greens
