ABSTRACT Old age is the final stage of the aging process. In this process, the ability of the body tissue to repair itself and maintain body structure will change and body function will decrease. Decreased body function also occurs in the cardiovascular system and the body's metabolic system. The elderly will be susceptible to increased blood pressure due to arteriosclerosis and nutritional problems such as malnutrition or excess nutrition. Although the decline in function in the aging process occurs naturally and will be experienced by everyone, this decline in function can be slowed down by maintaining a healthy lifestyle, one of which is through physical exercise. To determine the effect of aerobic physical exercise on changes in blood pressure and BMI among the elderly at Mandalika Elderly Social Home, West Nusa Tenggara, in 2022. Experimental quantitative analytic research with a quasi-experimental research design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design approach. This study was conducted at the Mandalika Elderly Social Home, West Nusa Tenggara from January 31 until February 28, 2023. The sample of this study consisted of 48 respondents who were divided into treatment and control groups. The data obtained were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test. Data that were normally distributed were analyzed using the dependent T-test and data that were not normally distributed were then followed by the Wilcoxon test. The statistical test results showed that there were blood pressure changes, both systolic and diastolic, after aerobic physical exercise, proven by a p-value of 0.002 on systolic blood pressure and a p-value of 0.004 on diastolic blood pressure. Changes were also found in the body mass index with a p-value of 0.001. There was a significant relationship between aerobic physical exercise and blood pressure and body mass index (BMI) emong elderly at Mandalika Elderly Social Home, West Nusa Tenggara. Keywords: Aerobic Physical Exercise, Blood Pressure, BMI, Elderly.
