Abstract

On Research this do Test power the results of the introduction for knowing corn strain the have power the results of the do hight can do make as candidate variety corn hybrid commercial. Research this doing in land of lampung State Polytechnic on April until August 2016 with Randomize Complethy Block Design (RCBD) i.e. five strain corn hybrid A (PL 205 x Pl 401), B (PL 406 x PL 205), C (PL 302 x PL 205), D (PL 205 x PL 406), E (PL 401 x PL 205) and one variety hybrid P21 as comparison . Treatment repeated as much three times and data observations analyzed with us prints range if there are difference among the treatment then will continued with Least Significant Different (LSD) on stage 5%. The results of this study were (1). The E strain has a higher potential than the A, B, C, D, and Pioner 21 (P 21) strains. (2) A, B, and C strains have the same result as hybrid varieties of P21.

Abstract

Technology transfer about durian grafting in Harapan Baru I farmers Group, Batu Putuk village, Bandar Lampung city has been done . This activity aims to improve ( 1 ) knowledge of members of Harapan Baru I Farmers Group about characteristics durian superior. ( 2 ) knowledge of members of Harapan Baru I Farmers Group in durian grafting techniques . ( 3 ) skills of members of Harapan Baru I Farmers Group in durian grafting techniques. The method used is counseling, demonstration and practice . Evaluation used is initial evaluation , final evaluation , and evaluation success durian grafting. Results of activity showed that ( 1 ) knowledge of members of Harapan Baru I Farmers Group in characteristics durian superior reached 87.06 % . (2) knowledge of members of Harapan Baru I Farmers Group in durian grafting technique reached 87.06 % . (3) Skills of members of Harapan Baru I Farmers Group in durian grafting techniques increased from 10 % to 60 % . Key words : durian, Batu Putuk, grafting

Abstract

The largest food commodity in Indonesia is rice (Oryza sativa), because rice is the main food source for most of Indonesia's population. Rice productivity can be increased, among others through innovation of high yield rice varieties, resistant to biotic and abiotic stress, and have good rice quality. The effort to form high yielding high yielding varieties requires several stages, one of which is power yield test. This research was conducted to obtain potential yield data from the four strains tested in the fourth generation. The strains studied were MS1, MS2, MS3 and ChM strains, with two varieties of varieties, namely Ciherang and Cilamaya varieties. This study used per-line planting method and conducted with Randomize Completly Block Design (RCBD).  Observations were made on selected individual plants as samples. The variables observed were maximum plant height, maximum number of shoots, number of productive shoots, flowering age, harvest age, panicle length, number of grain per panicle, amount of unhulled grain per panicle, total grain per panicle, weight 1,000 grains, Clumps and grain yield per hectare. The data were analyzed by using variance, and if there was any difference between treatments, then the data will be tested further with Least Significant Different (LSD) on stage 5%.. Based on the observation and test, the result of production of each strain is MS1 strain of 7.24 ton.ha-1, MS2 strain of 6.06 ton.ha-1, MS3 strain of 6.29 ton.ha-1, and ChM strain of 6.01 ton.ha-1.

Abstract

Seed corn are orthodox seeds quite resistant to drying and low temperature storage. On optimal storage conditions, will be able to orthodox seeds stored for several years. Quickly so as not to extinction, maize inbred strains that have been generated assemblies Polinela painstakingly preserved. The research objective was to determine whether the strain of inbred corn seed stored in the Col storage at a temperature of 3°C - 5°C for more than 4 years of viability and vigor still good? The experiment was conducted at the Polytechnic of Lampung November to December 2012. Research using completely randomized design, consisting of 4 strains of inbred seed corn that had been stored for 4 years in cold storage as treatments. Tests conducted in the laboratory and field. Each treatment was repeated four times. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance, if there is a difference between the treatments, the data were further tested by LSD test at 5% significance level. Parameters observed 1) Number of normal seedlings, 2) number of abnormal sprouts, 3) seed that dies, 4) The percentage of germination, 5) Sprouts Normal Form, 6) form abnormal sprouts. The results showed: 1) maize inbred lines seed storage Polinela assemblies under conditions of water content of seeds stored at 10% which is placed in cold storage temperature of 3 ° C - 5 ° C for 4 years, is able to maintain the viability and vigor of seeds to remain above 80%, 2) Viability seeds were tested in the laboratory is still above 96.0%, while the seed vigor test results in the field of more than 93.0%. Abstract

Nurman Abdul Hakim: Perbedaan Kualitas dan Pertumbuhan Benih Edamame Varietas Ryoko? Volume 13, Nomor 1, Januari 2013 9 1, 2, and 3 weeks, it is seen that the seeds produced in the Highlands of generating plant weights heavier than seed produced in the lowlands. Keywords: : seeds edamame, altitude place, seed qualityThis research aims to know the difference in the quality of the seeds and the growth of the edamame is augmented at an altitude of different places. In addition, to find out whether the height effect on physiological properties of the seed varieties edamame Ryoko. Planting edamame made in May ? August 2012 simultaneously in two locations: in the Highlands (West Lampung, Sekincau) and in the lowlands (the practice of lampung State Polytechnic). Edamame seeds that are produced in both places are then tested in the laboratory of food crops. and in Lampung State Polytechnic. Seed quality testing is done using the complete randomized design and is repeated 5 times. The observations showed that seed produced in the Highlands (West Lampung, Sekincau) looks greener than seed produced in the lowlands (Lampung State of Polytechnic). When compared on the basis of the size of the seed, then it looks also that seed produced in the Highlands, are smaller. Weight of 100 seeds of grain produced in the Highlands of lighter (26.8 g) than the seed resulting from the lowlands (36.4 g). The test results obtained through the analysis of statistics that the percentage of seed sprouts power resulting from the planting in high places better (79%) than from planting in lowlands (73.2%). Look also that the seed resulting from the planting of high-yield abnormal smaller sprouts (16%) than are generated in a low place (22.4%). The results of testing the levels of protein and fat which is done in the laboratory of Agricultural Technology Lampung State Polytechnic obtained that protein levels are the second seeds at the height of the place is no different, which is around 36%. While the fat content of seeds produced in the Highlands of 13.8%, lower than the seeds that are produced in the lowlands which amounted to 15.8%. The observations of plant height at the age of 1, 2, and 3 weeks, looks that seed produced on the highlands produces plant growth higher than seed produced in the lowlands. The results of observation of the number of leaves of plants at the age of 1, 2, and 3 weeks, it looks that the seed resulting in the Highlands and the lowlands produced the same number of leaves on the plant young edamame.
