Abstract

Regional anesthesia (Sub ArachnoidBlock) produces sympathetic blocks of muscle relaxation and sensory block against peripheral temperature receptors thereby inhibiting the compensatory response to temperature. Factors that may cause adecrease in core temperature and disruption of the information path derived from the first receptor are sympathetic blockades that may couse peripheral vasodilatation. To know the relationship between the height of the anesthetic spinal block with the intra operative shivering incidence at Central Surgery RSUD Dr. Soedirman Kebumen The research design was cross sectional. The research sampel were 72 respondents spinal anesthesia patients. The technique of sampling were consecutive sampling. The statistical test was chi square. Of 16 people with high spinal block, (75%) had shivering and 4 people (25%) had no shivering. of 36 people with moderate spinal block 21 people (58,3%) had shivering and 15 people (41,7%) had no shivering. of 20 people with low spinal block 14 people (70%) had shivering and 6 people (30%) had no shivering. Statistical test result using chi square obtained a significant relationship with p value of 0,021 smaller than 0,05 (0,021<0,05). There is a relationship between the height of the anethetic spinal block intra operative shivering incidence at Central Surgery RSUD Dr. Soedirman Kebumen

Abstract

Abstract: The prevalence of non-communicable diseases has increased, including the prevalence of DM from 6.9% to 8.5% based on blood sugar examinations. The increasing prevalence of DM is due to the limited knowledge of people with DM regarding managing DM, thus triggering an increase in the number of people with DM. Efforts need to be made to control the rate of increase in the number of people with DM through education using a diabetes mellitus control card so that it can prevent complications due to DM that can cause death. The aim is to increase knowledge and adherence to the management of diabetes mellitus for people with diabetes mellitus in Dusun Sukunan. Community service activities were carried out in 4 meetings including the first initial assessment and meeting to prepare an activity plan with people with DM, secondly the implementation of examinations and education, thirdly the implementation of community service, and the fourth evaluation of community service. The results of the knowledge level of DM management for people with DM regarding the use of control cards are in a good category, the results of measuring blood sugar levels are still high during education/counseling. The conclusion is that educational activities using control cards are very useful so that the knowledge of people with DM increases in the management of DM to prevent further complications for people with DM.

Abstract

The kidney is a functional metabolic organ for substances in the body, including glomerular filtration, reabsorption, secretion, acidification of urine, production and metabolism of hormones. One of the treatments for kidney failure is hemodialysis. Apart from hemodialysis, health education on a low- salt diet and fluid restriction in patients with chronic kidney failure is also very necessary to maintain patient survival as part of their treatment. To find out the application of health education on Diet Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in CKD patients in overcoming the problem of knowledge deficit nursing. Using the case study method by applying the nursing process approach through the implementation of the CKD Diet health education. The subjects used were two patients with the same problem. The study obtained data that the two respondents did not know the CKD Diet correctly and obtained priority nursing diagnoses with knowledge deficits associated with less exposure to information. After carrying out nursing actions for three days, the results of the evaluation of the two patients experienced an increase in knowledge power marked by when asked the client could answer and explain according to what was previously described. After the two respondents were given the CKD Diet health education action, the knowledge deficit nursing problem was resolved, marked by the client already knowing about the disease diet and already knowing what to do next.
