Abstract

The sago business in the Bagan Melibur Village has been around for a long time, but has not provided welfare for the community. So far, the processing of sago sandal is still in the traditional way, namely the direct drying process under the hot sun and the human-powered sago processing process, so that the production period is quite long and the results obtained are less. For this reason, this service has the aim of developing the potential of the Bagan Melibur village community in managing sago into various kinds of processed foods and beverages, one of which is a dry sago sandal (celsring). To be able to speed up the celsring processing process, it is necessary to use tools such as ultraviolet housings, so that the drying process can be carried out under any conditions. This tool can speed up the production period and production results. This community service was carried out in the Bagan Melibur Village, Merbau District, Meranti Islands Regency uses the extension method. Based on the service activities carried out, the Celsring product brand is produced which is ready to be marketed outside the Bagan Melibur area.

Abstract

The government's policy for implementing distance learning or online learning has been implemented for approximately a year to prevent the transmission/spread of the coronavirus. For about a year, teachers at every level of education have tried to optimize learning by utilizing digital technology. Teachers who previously had not been able to use technology were forced to be literate and up to date with technology to facilitate the learning process. However, teachers encounter several obstacles during distance learning, and there are still many teachers who do not understand how to design technology-based media and teaching materials for learning mathematics. Moving on from this problem, the PGSD service team in mathematics designed a technology-based mathematics learning design workshop (GeoGebra) for elementary school teachers. This workshop held three meetings with a blended learning model (online-offline-online) at SDN 024 Tarai Bangun. The workshop was attended by 22 elementary school teachers from 3 elementary schools. The workshop results showed that teachers experienced an increase in knowledge and skills, especially in designing GeoGebra-based mathematics learning from the less to average category. This activity implies that teachers are expected to implement the knowledge and skills acquired in learning mathematics in the classroom.

Abstract

Many studies have developed learning media, but few studies focus on developing learning media in ele-mentary schools using Genially and studying teachers' perceptions of Genially learning media. This study aims to determine teachers' perceptions of hybrid learning media with a more accurate and precise method, namely the item response theory (IRT) from the Rasch model. The survey was carried out by distributing a Likert scale questionnaire of 19 statements. Moreover, the subjects were 45 elementary school teachers in Riau Province, Indonesia. The results showed that they positively perceived the developed genially-based learning media. Genially learning media can support teachers in teaching. Based on these results, teachers need to develop skills in making various technology-based media, in order to support hybrid learning.

Abstract

Research aims to develop interactive learning media in elementary schools, especially on the material meaning of proclamation. This research is research and development by adopting 4D development model (Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination) put forward by Thiagarajan in 1974. Research and development involves media experts and material experts as expert validators to developed media. Data collection techniques in this study in the form of validity questionnaires and practicality. The data analysis technique used in this study is to calculate the average percentage of scores that can be seen from the aspects of appearance, material aspects (content), and practicality of respn teachers and students. The results obtained from the media validity test show that interactive media material meaning proclamations get a very valid category with a percentage score of 92%. The development of interactive media is said to be very valid because it meets the assessment criteria seen from the display, material, and language must be seen. While the results obtained from the practicality test of the response of students and teachers showed that interactive media material meaning proclamation is very practical with a percentage score of 90%. This shows that interactive media is worth using by teachers and students in learning. From the results of validity and practicality can be concluded that the interactive media material meaning proclamation in elementary school is declared very valid and very practical. This research is expected to help educators in using learning media in elementary schools, especially ips learning with the material meaning of proclamation, and can be a reference for other researchers in developing interactive learning media in elementary schools.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the order of people's lives massively, as in Indonesia, which experienced an economic downturn as evidenced by the closure of the business industry and the termination of employment relations (layoffs), resulting in many families losing their sources of income and economy. As a result, people had to be able to think creatively in utilizing all opportunities in this pandemic situation to find a way out, such as responding to changes in the behavior of people who significantly have new hobbies, namely planting and collecting ornamental plants in the yard. Problems arise when some people have limited land and do not even have a yard, so they have difficulty placing their collection of plants, and because of that, they have to hang the plant. This issue is what can be used by the community to open business opportunities. Training in making pot hangers with macrame techniques is present in response to the problem by empowering the community, especially young people. Therefore, with this training, young people of productive age will be able to independently producing, open new business opportunities, and make a passive income to improve the family economy in the pandemic period.

Abstract

Organic waste is one of the wastes that can still be recycled into something more useful, including fertilizer.Fertilizer is a very important requirement for plants.Fertilizer is a source of energy for plant growth and survival because it contains various types of nutrients that are very important for plants. With a good fermentation process, organic waste such as vegetables, rotten fruits, and leaves can be used as fertilizer that supports plant growth.Socialization on the manufacture of organic waste is urgently needed at this time, given the importance of reducing organic waste which often causes a foul odor. Therefore, the service activities carried out by Kukerta Bandarraya are expected to be able to increase understanding
