Abstract

This research is a research and development that aims to develop the big book medium of conductor material in primary school with the 4D model (define, design, development and dissemination) proposed by Thiagarajan in 1974. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The subjects of this study were 6 students from a public primary school in Pekanbaru. Research and development involves media experts as validators of the developed media. The data collection technique in this study was in the form of a validity and practicality questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study is to calculate the average percentage score seen from the aspects of content feasibility, presentation feasibility, language assessment, practicality of teacher and student responses. The results obtained from the media validity test show that the big book media conductor material is in the "very valid" category with a percentage score of 89.92%. While the results obtained from the practical test of teacher and student responses show that the big book media conductor material is "very practical" with a percentage score of  96.56%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difficulties of students in the introduction of geometry material for grade 2 elementary school students. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. The data collection technique used is a test technique. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis technique and Rasch model analysis. The ability of students to answer questions is very high and it also shows that children's knowledge of geometry is very good. Among the difficulties in learning geometry that often occur in children are lack of understanding of mathematical language, difficulty understanding initial concepts in flat shapes and shapes, difficulties in visual perception and difficulty in distinguishing geometric shapes.

Abstract

Abstract: Analysis on Geometry Mathematics Textbooks for Grade 5 of Elementary Schools in Malaysia, China, and Indonesia. Objectives: This research analyzes the differences in the geometry material presented to grade 5 students of elementary schools and determines the characteristics of the questions in mathematics textbooks. Methods: The content analysis compared the geometry materials in the best mathematics textbooks widely used in grade 5 of elementary schools in Indonesia, Malaysia, and China. The analysis discussed several important points on geometry material, including sub-chapter, chapter content, and the presentation of practice questions. Findings: The results show that 66.36 percent of questions in the Indonesian textbook asked about knowing, 24.54 percent applying, and 0.09 percent reasoning. In the Malaysian textbook, 71.42 percent of questions asked focused knowing, 23.8 percent applying, and 4.76 percent reasoning. Furthermore, 49.6 percent of questions in the Chinese textbooks asked about knowing, 30.4 percent applying, and 20 percent reasoning. Conclusions: questions on knowing had the highest percentage in the Indonesian and Malaysian textbooks but balanced in Chinese.Keywords: mathematics textbook, geometry, Indonesian, Malaysian, China.Abstrak: Analisis Buku Ajar Matematika Geometri Kelas 5 SD di Indonesia, Malaysia dan China. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan materi geometri yang disajikan kepada siswa kelas 5 SD dan menentukan karakteristik soal pada buku teks matematika. Metode: Analisis isi membandingkan materi geometri dalam buku teks matematika terbaik yang banyak digunakan di kelas 5 sekolah dasar di Indonesia, Malaysia, dan Cina. Analisis membahas beberapa poin penting pada materi geometri, antara lain sub bab, isi bab, dan penyajian soal latihan. Temuan: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 66,36 persen pertanyaan dalam buku teks bahasa Indonesia menanyakan tentang mengetahui, 24,54 persen menerapkan, dan 0,09 persen penalaran. Dalam buku teks Malaysia, 71,42 persen pertanyaan yang diajukan terfokus mengetahui, 23,8 persen menerapkan, dan 4,76 persen penalaran. Selanjutnya, 49,6 persen pertanyaan dalam buku teks bahasa Mandarin menanyakan tentang mengetahui, 30,4 persen menerapkan, dan 20 persen penalaran. Kesimpulan: pertanyaan tentang mengetahui memiliki persentase tertinggi dalam buku teks bahasa Indonesia dan Malaysia tetapi seimbang dalam bahasa Cina.Kata kunci: buku teks matematika, geometri, Indonsia,Malaysia, China.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i1.202210

Abstract

Artikel ini melaporkan sebuah penelitian yang dilakukan untuk mendapatkan informasi secara objektif serta mengkaji perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang belajar dengan metode pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berbantuan materi ajar geometri berbasis RME dengan siswa yang belajar dengan metode konvensional. Penelitian tersebut menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan jenis non equivalent control group design. Penelitian dilaksankan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2021/2022 pada mata pelajaran matematika materi geometri. Subjek pada penelitian melibatkan siswa kelas 3 SD Madani Islamic School Riau yang terdiri dari kelas 3A sebagai kelas control dan 3C sebagai kelas eksperimen. Dalam penelitian tersebut data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes awal (pretest) dan tes akhir (posttest) yang diberikan pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 6 butir soal uraian. Data statistik yang diperoleh yaitu uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis yang diolah menggunakan program SPSS 25. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,029. Oleh karena itu, nilai signifikansinya sebanyak < 0,05. Maka, dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berbantuan materi ajar geometri berbasis RME terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas 3 SD Madani Islamic School Riau.

Abstract

This study is a Research and Development (RD). This study was developed by using development models with three phases: the preliminary analysis phase, the development phase or manufacture (Prototyping Phase) and the assessment phase. The product developed in this study was an interactive media product with the genial application of curved side room building materials for elementary school students that have valid and practical criteria so that this interactive media product can be used by teachers and students. Moreover, the interactive media product can be an alternative to the learning process. Students were positively more enthusiastic in learning because the use of interactive media provided learning that was different from the usual learning, and developing interactive media with the application genially material builds curved side rooms can create the teaching and learning process more interesting. The aim of this study is to develop an interactive media development product with the application of genially valid and practical curved side building materials. The interactive media product was validated by three experts: material experts, media experts, and linguists. Meanwhile, the practicality of interactive media products was seen from the questionnaire of teacher responses to interactive media products and the practicality of students given by researchers during the trial was limited to small groups. Data collection techniques carried out by researchers were observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data processing was carried out in a quantitative and qualitative.

Abstract

This study has the main purpose to develop a product in the form of interactive multimedia PowerPoint geometry for elementary school students Grade 3 so that the product development is valid and practical. This type of research is development research or research and development. There are three stages that are carried out in developing the model according to the development model, including the development or prototyping stage and the assessment stage. The next Data is done through quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. Based on the results of interactive multimedia validation developed to obtain results with very valid categories. In addition, you will also get better results. In addition, you will also get the value of the questionnaire practicality by learners obtain results with a very practical category. Based on the description, the product development of this research is interactive geometry multimedia products for elementary school students Grade 3 stated to have met various criteria of validity and practice so that this product can be used by teachers and students in the classroom. In the modern learning process, so that in the learning process can increase the interest and interest of students in learning, even play a role in student psychology.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan matematika siswa dapat disebabkan oleh berbagai aspek, salah satunya kuranya inovasi dalam buku pembelajaran siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research & Development) yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku digital matematika Audible Books yang berbasis etnomatematika untuk siswa Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp yang terdiri dari tiga fase yaitu, fase penelitian awal fase pengembangan, dan fase penilaian. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket. Validasi Audible Books dilakukan oleh 4 orang validator, hasil validasi media diperoleh nilai validitas sebesar 0,90 dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”. Uji praktikalitas diberikan kepada siswa dan guru, hasil dari uji praktikalitas siswa diperoleh persentase sebesar 83,54% dengan kategori “Sangat Praktis”. Hasil uji praktikalitas guru diperoleh persentase sebesar 88,75% dengan kategori “Sangat Praktis”. Berdasarkan hasil validasi dan praktikalitas yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Audible Books yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis.Kata Kunci: Audible Books, Buku Digital Matematia, Model Plomp

Abstract

AbstrakPengetahuan matematika, didaktika, dan teknologi yang harus dimilik oleh calon guru dan guru, sebelumnya diukur dengan metode classical test theory (CTT), namun memiliki keterbatasan. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengetahuan tersebut dengan metode yang diprekdiksi lebih akurat yaitu item response theory (IRT) dari rasch model. Metode penelitian meliputi survey pengetahuan matematika dan didaktika serta survey pengetahuan teknologi menggunakan angket. Subjek penelitian yaitu 38 mahasiswa tahun kedua calon guru sekolah dasar dari sebuah institusi pendidikan guru sekolah dasar di Pekanbaru. Hasil studi menunjukkan calon guru sekolah dasar memiliki pengetahuan matematika dan teknologi cukup baik, namun pengetahuan didaktika sangat rendah. Analisis pengetahuan calon guru menggunkan rasch model mampu memberikan gambaran tingkat kesulitan soal/item yang diberikan, tingkat pengetahuan responden, dan interaksi antar responden dan antar soal. Institusi pendidikan perlu mengembangkan pembelajaran bagi calon guru sekolah dasar yang mampu mendukung penguatan dan pengembangan pengetahuan matematika, didaktika, dan teknologi. Prospective Elementary Teachers’ Mathematical, Didactic, and Technological Knowledge Using Rasch Model Analysis AbstractKnowledge of mathematics, didactics, and technology that must be owned by pre-service and in-service teachers, previously measured by the classical test theory (CTT), but has limitations. Study aims to determine that knowledge with a more accurate prediction method using the item response theory (IRT) from the Rasch model. Study used a survey of mathematical and didactic knowledge, and a survey of technological knowledge with a scale. The subjects were 38 second-year students from an elementary school teacher education institution in Pekanbaru. This study indicates that pre-service teachers have relatively sufficient mathematics and technological knowledge, but they were lack of didactic knowledge. Analysis of pre-service teachers’ knowledge using the Rasch model can provide an overview of the difficulty level of the items given, the level of pre-service teachers’ knowledge, and the interaction between respondents and between questions. Institutions need to develop learning instruction for pre-service teachers that can support the strengthening and development of their mathematical, didactic, and technological knowledge.

Abstract

The Riau University student community service team empowers the community by developing products that can be used as souvenirs of cold water. Cold water itself is a village located in Pekanbaru. The purpose of this community empowerment is to develop the potential of the cold water community, increase community income, and is expected to open up job opportunities for the surrounding community. In addition, the community service team also informs business actors to provide appropriate packaging, starting from packaging and product design. This is so that the product can compete with existing commodities. With an attractive packaging supported by a contemporary design, it will be the main attraction but it can also add to the selling value of a product. Of course, this is also accompanied by marketing through social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp.

Abstract

Communities in the Air Dingin, Pekanbaru City, have a variety of sources of livelihood, and one of them is home-based businesses or micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in various sectors, both services, and products. However, many of these businesses have not developed optimally, especially in terms of promotion and sales. This is supported by the low level of technology literacy among business owners so that digital promotion and sales are not carried out optimally. Seeing this, Riau University students who are members of the Abdimas Integrated Kukerta (real work course) 2022 team carried out real work course to the people of the Air Dingin village to disseminate digital marketing channels to increase the creative economic potential of the Air Dingin village. The Kukerta team also assists to increase promotion and sales by designing product packaging and various important components that are included, as well as creating product sales accounts on various digital marketing channels such as Instagram, Facebook, and Whatsapp. In addition to improving the regional creative economy, this activity is also expected to introduce regional potential.
