Abstract

Abstract: Profile of students physics problem-solving skills and problem based learning implementation supported by website on gas kinetic theory. Objectives: To analyze physics problem solving skills as a consideration in the implementation of a website-based PBL model on kinetic theory of gases. Methods: The research subjects were 162 high school students in class XI in Madiun Regency based on purposive sampling. Data collection were using problem-solving skills test ACCES indicators, student questionnaires, physics teacher interviews. Data were analyzed descriptive qualitative. Findings: The level of problem-solving skills in the kinetic theory of gases is still low, 159 students in low category, 3 students in medium category. On average students only answered questions in the E-Execute the solution. Conclusion: Students are not used to solving questions with ACCES indicators. Students tend to learn by memorizing formulas. So, the website-based PBL model can be applied to improve students’ problem solving skills.Keywords: Problem solving skills, Problem based learning, Gas kinetic theory.Abstrak: Profil keterampilan pemecahan masalah fisika siswa dan pelaksanaan problem based learning berbasis website pada teori kinetik gas. Tujuan: Untuk menganalisis profil keterampilan pemecahan masalah fisika siswa sebagai pertimbangan dalam penerapan model PBL berbasis website pada materi teori kinetik gas. Metode: Subjek penelitian adalah 162 siswa SMA kelas XI di Kabupaten Madiun berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yaitu instrumen tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah indikator ACCES, angket siswa dan wawancara guru fisika. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Temuan: Tingkat keterampilan pemecahan masalah pada materi teori kinetik gas masih rendah, yaitu sebanyak 159 siswa dengan kategori rendah dan 3 siswa dengan kategori sedang. Dari hasil penelitian rata-rata siswa hanya menjawab soal pada kategori E-Execute the solution. Kesimpulan: Siswa belum terbiasa menyelesaikan soal keterampilan pemecahan masalah dengan indikator ACCES. Siswa cenderung belajar dengan menghafal rumus. Sehingga model PBL berbasis website dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa.Kata kunci: Keterampilan pemecahan masalah, Problem based learning, Teori kinetik gas.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i1.202229

Abstract

Learning systems in emergencies, can be implemented by making online-based learning or distance learning. This study compares the top 100 citations of online learning and distance learning publications and analyzes their real contribution in physics learning from 1992 to 2021. This study uses bibliometric analysis and literature review. The findings of this study include: 1) The trend of online learning topics is more consistently rising and has a higher value than distance learning every year, 2) The most frequently used keywords are online learning, and distance metrics learning, the United States has the highest contribution over the last thirty years, 3) The type of document that is often used is articles, 4) The highest average citation per paper per year is in 2020, 5) Both topics demonstrate the superiority of contributions to studying physics. The real contributions in physics are to make learning more flexible, train students' independence, train technology, deepen understanding of concepts and make learning more efficient. More intensively, further research can be done by comparing other learning systems applied in physics learning.

Abstract

Banyak guru di SMP Kabupaten Nganjuk yang mengalami kesulitan untuk kenaikan pangkat sebab ada persyaratan menulis artikel ilmiah. Peraturan Menteri Negara Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi Nomor 16 Tahun 2009 tentang Jabatan Fungsional Guru dan Angka Kreditnya mensyaratkan untuk mendapat kenaikan pangkat harus memiliki artikel publikasi ilmiah. Pada praktiknya para guru di SMP Kabupaten Nganjuk masih mengalami kesulitan dan belum produktif untuk menulis karya dalam bentuk artikel ilmiah yang berkualitas. Gugus Kerjasama, Publikasi, dan Internasionalisasi (KPI) Pascasarjana Univeristas Negeri Surabaya menjadikan permasalahan tersebut sebagai dasar urgensi pelaksanaan Kegiatan Workshop Penulisan Artikel Publikasi Ilmiah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kontribusi positif dan nyata kepada guru SMP di Kabupaten Nganjuk. Kegiatan tersebut meliputi identifikasi masalah, penulisan artikel ilmiah, praktek mendeley, submit artikel pada jurnal online dan pengisian angket responden. Hasil kegiatan yang diselenggarakan menunjukkan bahwa respon peserta pelatihan selama mengikuti workshop penulisan artikel publikasi ilmiah menunjukkan reaksi yang positif. Penyajian materi oleh tim dalam workshop, kualitas narasumber, dan kualitas pelaksanaan pelatihan menunjukkan respon yang baik dari peserta pelatihan. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan ini dapat meningkatkan kualitas publikasi guru. Perlu pelatihan berkelanjutan yang sejenis dalam rangka meningkatkan pemahaman guru tentang penulisan artikel ilmiah di masa mendatang. Scientific Publication Article Writing Workshop for Nganjuk Middle School Teachers: To Improve the Quality of Teacher Publications Many teachers at the Nganjuk Junior High School have difficulty getting promoted because there is a requirement to write scientific articles. Regulation of the Minister of State for the Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform No. 16 of 2009 concerning Teacher Functional Positions and Credit Scores requires that to get a promotion one must have scientific publication articles. In practice, teachers at SMP Nganjuk Regency still have difficulty and are not yet productive to write works in the form of quality scientific articles. The Postgraduate Cooperation, Publication, and Internationalization (KPI) Group at the State University of Surabaya made this problem the basis for the urgency of implementing the Scientific Publication Article Writing Workshop Activities. This activity aims to make a positive and tangible contribution to junior high school teachers in Nganjuk Regency. These activities include problem identification, scientific article writing, Mendeley practice, submitting articles to online journals and filling out respondent questionnaires. The results of the activities carried out showed that the response of the training participants during the workshop on writing scientific publication articles showed a positive reaction. The presentation of material by the team in the workshop, the quality of the resource persons, and the quality of the training implementation showed a good response from the training participants. Based on the results of these activities, it can be concluded that this training can improve the quality of teacher publications. Similar continuous training is needed in order to improve teachers' understanding of writing scientific articles in the future.
