Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan koneksi matematis dengan model pembelajaran CORE (connecting, organizing, reflecting, extending) dan model pembelajaran NHT (numbered head together). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 6 Buton Tengah. Kelas IXA dengan jumlah siswa 28 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen I dan kelas IXC dengan jumlah siswa 25 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen II. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain posttest only control group design. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan independent sample t-test berbantuan SPSS. Hasil deskriptif menunjukkan rata-rata kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kelas eksperimen I sebesar 83,14, dan kelas eksperimen II sebesar 75,28. Variansi kelas eksperimen I sebesar 67,55, kelas eksperimen II sebesar 38,89. Standar Deviasi kelas eksperimen I sebesar 8,22, kelas eksperimen II sebesar 6,24. Hasil inferensial menunjukkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 < α = 0,05. Artinya H0 ditolak sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata dimana kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran CORE lebih tinggi dari pada model pembelajaran NHT.AbstractThis study aims to see the difference in the mean mathematical connection ability taught CORE (connecting, organizing, reflecting, extending) learning model and the NHT (numbered head together) learning model. The population in this study was grade IX of SMP Negeri 6 Buton Tengah. The IXA Class with a total of 28 students as an experimental I, and class IXC with a total of 25 students as an experimental II. This type of research is an experiment with a posttest only control group design. Analysis used descriptive and inferential analysis using the independent sample t-test with SPSS assisted.. Descriptive result showed the mean mathematical connection ability of experimental class I was 83,14, experimental class II was 75,28. Variance of experimental class I 67,55, experimental class II 38,89. The Standard Deviation of the experimental class I was 8,22, the experimental class II 6,24. The inferential result indicated of value of sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 < α = 0,005. This means that H0 is rejected so that there were differences in the mean of mathematical connection ability taught CORE learning model and NHT learning model.

Abstract

Koneksi matematis adalah salah satu kemampuan tingkat tinggi yang harus dimiliki siswa. Namun, setiap siswa memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematis yang berbeda tergantung pada kesesuaian model pembelajaran dengan gaya belajar siswa. Dengan demikian penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan koneksi matematis ditinjau dari gaya belajar siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Tanggetada. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 33 siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan koneksi matematis dan questioner baku VARK edisi 8.01. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) dari 33 siswa terdapat siswa dengan gaya belajar auditory (A) sebanyak 5 siswa, read/write (R) sebanyak 5 siswa, kinestetic (K) sebanyak 6 siswa, quadmodal yaitu V-A-R-K  sebanyak 3 siswa, gaya belajar trimodal terdiri dari A-R-K sebanyak 2 siswa dan V-A-K sebanyak 2 siswa, dan gaya belajar bimodal terdiri dari A-K sebanyak 8 siswa dan V-K sebanyak 2 siswa; (2) Kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Tanggetada berada pada kategori kurang; (3) Rata-rata kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dengan gaya belajar Auditory (A), Read/write (R) dan Kinestetic (K) berada pada kategori kurang, kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dengan gaya belajar bimodal tipe A-K dan V-K berada pada kategori kurang, kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dengan gaya belajar trimodal tipe A-R-K berada pada kategori kurang dan tipe V-A-K berada pada kategori  cukup, dan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dengan gaya belajar quadmodal yaitu V-A-R-K berada pada kategori kurang. Terlihat bahwa kemampuan koneksi matematis pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Tanggetada masih berada pada kategori kurang.

Abstract

Mathematical problem solving abilities and students' self-efficacy are still not optimal, so they need to be studied. This study aimed to describe the mathematical problem solving ability of class IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Baula in terms of self-efficacy. The type of this research was qualitative. The research subjects were 56 students of class IX SMP Negeri 1 Baula. The instruments were in the form of a self-efficacy questionnaire (18 statement items), 3 test questions of mathematical problem solving abilities, and interview guidelines. Data analysis covered data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. There were three findings in this study as follows. Firstly, students' self-efficacy from 56 students consisted of high self-efficacy (6 students), medium (24 students), and low (26 students). Secondly, the number of students whose problem solving ability were being measured was in high category (5 students), medium category (24 students), and low category (27 students). And lastly, the students with high self-efficacy and high problem solving ability were able to meet the four indicators of problem solving ability. The students with moderate self-efficacy and moderate problem-solving abilities were less able to meet the four indicators of problem-solving abilities. While the students with low self-efficacy and low problem solving ability were not able to meet the four indicators of problem solving ability. So it can be concluded that the higher the students' self-efficacy is, the easier the students solve the problems. On the other hand, the lower the student's self-efficacy is, the more difficult the students solve the problems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) dengan Pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas VIII MTs Nurul Yaqin Dawi-dawi. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan melibatkan seluruh siswa kelas VIII sebagai populasi penelitian. Hasil penelitian secara empiris menunjukkan bahwa: (1) peningkatan  kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang terdiri dari  26  siswa menunjukkan bahwa nilai minimum 0,14, nilai maksimum  1,00, rata- rata 0,670, standar deviasi 0,206, dan varians 0,042; (2) peningkatan  kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa pada kelas Kontrol yang terdiri dari 29  siswa menunjukkan nilai minimum  0,25, nilai maksimum 0,86, rata- rata 0,5449, standar deviasi 0,200, dan varians 0,040; dan (3) melalui analisis lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa pada kedua kelas penelitian telah menunjukkan kriteria aktif dengan nilai rata- rata  persentase sebesar 75% -  90%. Hasil penelitian secara inferensial dengan menggunakan uji-t telah diperoleh nilai (2,287) >  (2,006) yang menunjukkan bahwa  ditolak dan  diterima, secara inferensial ini berarti bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan pendekatan RME efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman matematis siswa.  Abstract This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning model with a Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) in improving the mathematical understanding ability of eighth grade students of MTs Nurul Yaqin Dawi-Dawi. This research is a type of experimental research involving all students of class VIII as the study population. The results of the empirical study show that: (1) improvement in the ability of mathematical in the experimental class consisting of 26 students shows that the minimum value is 0.14, the maximum value 1.00, the average 0.670, standard deviation of 0.206, and variance of 0.042; (2) improvement of students' mathematical understanding abilities in the Control class consisting of 29 students showed a minimum value of 0.25, a maximum value of 0.86, an average of 0.5449, a standard deviation of 0.200, and a variance of 0.040; and (3) through analysis of observation sheets of teacher and student activities in both classes of research have shown active criteria with an average percentage of 75%-90%. The results of inferential research using the t-test has obtained the value of thitung (2.287)>ttabel (2.006) which shows that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, this inferential means that there is a significant difference between students' mathematical understanding abilities in the experimental class and control class. From these results it can be concluded that the students' mathematical understanding ability by applying the STAD type cooperative learning model with the RME is effective in improving the mathematical understanding.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see the differences in the mean increase in student mathematics learning outcomes in the Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition (AIR) model and reciprocal teaching (RT) model. The sample in this study were 25 students as the experimental class 1 and 23 students as the experimental class 2. This research was an experimental study with a nonequivalent control group design. The data analysis used was descriptive and inferential analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the mean pretest score of the experimental class 1 was 51.64 and the posttest result was 70.88 with the increase in student mathematics learning outcomes reaching 0.39. While the mean pretest score of experimental class 2 was 36.52 and the posttest result was 70.48 with the increase in student mathematics learning outcomes reaching 0.51. The variance of the increase in mathematics learning outcomes in the experimental class 1 was 0.02, and the experimental class 2 was 0.01. The results obtained indicate that the increase in mathematics learning outcomes through the reciprocal teaching learning model is higher than the increase in student mathematics learning outcomes using the AIR learning model.

Abstract

This research aims to know the habituation of basic values of civil servants (accountability, nationalism, public ethics, quality commitment, and anti-corruption) toward increasing student learning outcomes at the differential equations coursework. This research is a pre-experimental study with the design of one group Pretest-posttest control design with students of 2016 mathematics education study programs of the Sembilanbelas November Kolaka University as samples amounting to 36 people. Data retrieval is conducted with a questionnaire on learning styles and student learning outcomes at the differential equation coursework. The actualization and habituation of the basic values of civil servants in students can improve character, positive habits, and student learning outcomes on differential equations. Inferentially indicated with a value of sig. = 0.000 < α = 0.05. So habituation of basic values of civil servants is significant in increasing the student learning outcomes at the differential equation coursework.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of learning model inside outside circle on mathematics learning outcomes of students of grade IX SMP Negeri 3 Watubangga. This research is a research experiment (quasi experimental design) with the design of non-equivalent control group design. The population is all students of grade IX SMP Negeri 3 Watubangga as much as 52 people. Sampling with a totally sampling technique obtained the IXA class as the experimental class and the IXB class as the control class. The hypothesis test indicates that at the level of the significance α = 0.05, the value of tcount = 2,048 > ttable = 1,676. That means that H0 rejected and H1 accepted. So that the inside outside circle learning model is more effective to mathematics learning outcomes of students in grade IX SMP Negeri 3 Watubangga compared with conventional learning.

Abstract

Setiap mahasiswa memiliki kebiasaan tersendiri dalam menyerap dan memproses materi kuliah yang diberikan. Kebiasaan ini disebut dengan gaya belajar. Mengetahui gaya belajar mahasiswa merupakan hal yang sangat penting bagi seorang dosen karena dengan mengetahui gaya belajar mahasiswa dalam satu kelas, dosen dapat menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang dapat mengakomodir seluruh gaya belajar mahasiswa. Pada mata kuliah Komputer di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia dan Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, masih terdapat beberapa mahasiswa yang kesulitan memahami materi kuliah karena metode pembelajaran yang diberikan dosen hanya terpaku pada gaya belajar tertentu. Untuk itu, penelitian ini akan membantu dosen untuk mengetahui gaya belajar mahasiswa berdasarkan data-data terdahulu dengan menggunakan metode Naïve Bayes Classifier pada Data Mining. Beberapa penelitian menyebutkan bahwa metode Naïve Bayes Classifier lebih baik dibandingkan dengan metode klasifikasi yang lain. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan Rapid Miner sebagai alat bantu dalam melakukan klasifikasi. Setelah melakukan pengujian terhadap data uji, diperoleh nilai akurasi sebesar 90%. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa model klasifikasi yang dibentuk dari data latih dapat memberikan hasil klasifikasi gaya belajar yang baik serta model ini dapat diterapkan oleh dosen untuk mengetahui gaya belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penguasaan terhadap teknologi menjadi salah satu tantangan bagi guru. Guru harus mampu mengikuti perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi untuk tetap berkiprah di dunia pendidikan, dan harus senantiasa meningkatkan kompetensi dirinya dalam menjalankan tugas dan tanggung jawab sebagai tenaga pengajar dan pendidik. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat menjadi salah satu alternatif solusi dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam hal pemanfaatan ICT (information and communication of technology) dalam proses belajar-mengajar, khususnya pembuatan media pembelajaran berbasis Android menggunakan Smart Apps Creator (SAC). Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan oleh Tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka di SMP Negeri 3 Samaturu dengan melibatkan 12 orang guru sebagai peserta pelatihan. Kegiatannya meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian adalah pengetahuan dan kemampuan awal peserta terhadap media SAC sebelum pelatihan dilaksanakan masih tergolong sangat rendah. Setelah dilakukan pelatihan pembuatan media SAC kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan praktik, sehingga pengetahuan dan kemampuan peserta terhadap media SAC tergolong sangat baik. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan dan pemahaman peserta terhadap materi pelatihan media SAC baik.

Abstract

The specific objectives and targets planned in the activity of community service include four things as follows: (1) Identification of essential mathematical concepts that can be taught more easily using ICT-based mathematics learning media. As a criterion, at least 50% of mathematics material in SMP / MTs can be taught with ICT-based learning media. (2) The establishment of a Mathematics Teacher Working Group (KKG) with adequate ability and knowledge in the use of ICT-based learning media. As a criterion, at least 75% of partner teachers have good knowledge in the use of ICT-based learning media in the process of learning mathematics. (3) The existence of innovative and explorative mathematics learning media products with a target of at least 90% of partner teachers mastering the material contained in the instruction module for applying ICT-based learning media. (4) There is an opportunity to develop an entrepreneurial spirit, by producing innovative ICT-based mathematics learning media that has a sale value. The methods used in achieving these objectives are (1) Teachers Working Group (KKG) mathematics with the emphasis of coaching that is mastery of ICT-based learning media that is adequate, is expected to overcome the problems of learning mathematics and be able to be a vehicle in facilitating the development of professionalism of teachers. (2) Provide training to teachers to design ICT-based mathematics learning media and implement them in learning activities.
