Abstract

This study aims to compare student perceptions of online, offline, and blended learning involving 28 students from the 2018 batch of Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sembilanbelas November Kolaka University as research subjects. The data were collected by non-test using a questionnaire instrument of student perceptions including online, offline, and blended learning as many as 23 statement items followed by interviews related to student perceptions. The results of this study indicate that the mean student perception of learning is positive with the following details: (1) the mean percentage of student perceptions of online learning is 77.92%; (2) the mean percentage of students' perceptions of offline learning (face-to-face) is 82.86%; and (3) the mean percentage of students' perceptions of blended learning is 73.98%.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes by using a learning model based on Information and Communicaton Technologies (ICT). This research is a Classroom action research qualitative research. This research method consists of: (1) planning (planning); (2) the implementation of the action (action); (3) observation and evaluation (observation and evaluation); (4) reflection (reflection). This research uses descriptive statistical data analysis involving 20 students, including 7 boys and 13 girls and using instruments in the form of student worksheets and interview guidelines for teachers and students. Based on the results of initial observations, it shows that the low learning outcomes obtained by students. This is because teachers have less ability to vary learning models/strategies, where teachers only explain the material to students and then ask questions, but only a few students have an active understanding of concepts/knowledge in learning. Based on the daily test results, before the first cycle of action, only 40% of students with an average score of 60.1 scored 70 from the KKM (Minimum Graduation Criteria), which was 75%. In the first cycle, there was an increase from the initial test which was 40% to 55% of students with an average score of 65.98 who obtained a score of 70, while in the second cycle the test also increased to 85% with an average score of 80.56 who obtained a score 70. The final result of this research is that it can improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes by Applying the ICT-based Creative Problem Solving (CPS) Learning Model.

Abstract

Restrictions on learning activities during the COVID-19 pandemic have forced students to study from home. However, it does not mean that the quality of student learning outcomes will decrease. To maintain and even improve students' mathematical abilities and understanding post COVID-19 pandemic, constructivism learning was applied to mathematics learning at home in Puundoho village, North Pakue District, North Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. Constructivism learning helps students in building mathematical concepts using their own abilities through an internalization process using prior knowledge. Activities are carried out in three stages, namely planning, implementation and reporting of activities. The form of activity is the application of constructivism learning in mathematics learning at home which aims to maintain the quality of student learning outcomes, as well as improve students' abilities and understanding after the COVID-19 pandemic. The results obtained are the level of students' ability and understanding of mathematics which is indicated by the ease with which they can answer correctly each given question.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh yang positif signifikan kepercayaan diri dan gaya belajar secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah: seluruh kelas VII pada semester genap SMP Negeri  1 Wundulako yang terdiri dari 7 kelas dengan jumlah 225 siswa. Pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah proportional random sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis deskriptif dan teknik analisis inferensial. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: (1) Kepercayaan Diri siswa tergolong sedang dengan skor terendah 51, skor terbesar 75, rata-rata 62,2 dan standar deviasi 5,7; (2) Gaya belajar siswa tergolong sedang dengan skor terendah 58, skor terbesar 70, rata-rata 63,7 dan standar deviasi 3,4; (3) Hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas tergolong sedang dengan skor terendah 60, skor terbesar 85, rata-rata 73 dan standar deviasi 5,7; (4) Terdapat pengaruh positif secara simultan antara kepercayaan diri  dan gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa dimana FhitungFtabel(3,22). Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa persamaan regresi linear ganda, antara kepercayaan diri dan gaya belajar secara simultan berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa; (5) Terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan kepercayaan diri terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas dimana FhitungFtabel(2,018); (6) Terdapat pengaruh positif  gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Wundulako dimana FhitungFtabel(2,018)

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam membuat dan mengembangkan instrumen evaluasi online menggunakan Quizizz. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 22 peserta yang terdiri dari 17 orang guru SMP dan 5 orang guru SMA/SMK yang berada di Kecamatan Pakue Utara, Kabupaten Kolaka Utara, Sulawesi Tenggara. Bentuk kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah pelatihan yang dilaksanakan selama 3 hari. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, dan evaluasi. Peserta diberikan soal pre-test untuk mengukur pengetahuan dan kemampuan awal peserta sebelum kegiatan. Selanjutnya, peserta diberikan materi pelatihan pembuatan instrumen evaluasi online menggunakan Quizizz. Setelah materi selesai diberikan, dilanjutkan dengan evaluasi (posttest) untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan peserta. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkah bahwa adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan peserta terhadap penyusunan instrumen online menggunakan Quizizz tergolong baik (78.18%). Tindak lanjut dari pelatihan ini adalah pendampingan melalui WhatsApp group terhadap guru-guru dalam menghasilkan produk instrumen evaluasi yang siap digunakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal berorientasi PISA konten quantity. Penelitian ini melibatkan 14 orang siswa kelas VIII SMP IT Wihdatul Ummah Kolaka sebagai subjek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dan wawancara untuk menggali informasi mendalam terhadap hasil tes. Berdasarkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan, diperoleh hasil bahwa rata-rata kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal berorientasi PISA konten quantity pada indikator merumuskan masalah secara sistematis level 1 dan 2 berada pada kriteria sedang dengan persentase 41%, hal ini dikarenakan siswa kurang mampu mengolah informasi pada soal. Pada indikator menalar level 3 dan 4 berada pada kriteria rendah dengan persentase 32,1%, hal ini dikarenakan siswa tidak mampu menalar dengan logis dan tepat untuk mengerjakan soal, dan pada indikator memecahkan masalah level 5 dan 6 berada pada kriteria kurang dengan persentase 24,3%, hal ini dikarenakan siswa tidak mampu membuat generalisasi yang tepat untuk mengerjakan soal. Kata kunci: literasi matematis, PISA, konten quantity Abstract: This research is a descriptive research that aims to describe students' mathematical literacy ability in solving PISA-oriented questions with quantity content. This study involved 14 eighth grades students of SMP IT Wihdatul Ummah Kolaka as research subjects. The data collection technique was done by using tests and interviews. Based on the data analysis technique used, it was found that the mean mathematical literacy ability of students in solving PISA-oriented questions, the content quantity on the indicators of systematically formulating problems level 1 and 2 was at moderate criteria with a percentage of 41%, because students were less able to process information on questions. In the level 3 and 4 reasoning indicators are low criteria with a percentage of 32.1%, because students are not able to reason logically and correctly to work on questions, and on the indicators of solving problems levels 5 and 6 are in less criteria with a percentage of 24, 3%, because students are not able to make correct generalizations to work on problems. Keywords: mathematical literacy, PISA, quantity content

Abstract

This research method was Experimental Research. The Research aimed at determining whether there were differences on the student learning outcomes taught by cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament type (TGT) and the students who were taught by cooperative learning model Talking Stick type (TS). This research was conducted at class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kolaka in the academic year 2016/2017 consisting of 8 classes with total students was 199 students. VIII5 Class was the first experimental class taught by cooperative learning model TGT type and VIII3 Class was the second experimental class taught by cooperative learning TS type.  Technique of Data Analysis used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The research findings were: (1) Mathematics learning outcomes of students taught by cooperative learning model TGT  type consisting of 28 students obtained mean = 81,29, median = 84, mode = 85, standard deviation = 8,814, and variance = 77,693 . In addition, 23 of 28 students (82.15%) had learning outcomes above KKM = 75, and 19 of 28 students (57.14%) had scores above mean = 81.29. (2) The learning outcomes of mathematics student taught by cooperative learning model of TS type consisting of 28 students obtained mean = 81,64, median = 84,50, mode = 87, standard deviation = 9,306, and variance = 86,605. In addition, 22 of 28 students (78.57%) had learning outcomes above KKM = 75, and 20 of 28 students (71.42%) had scores above mean = 81.64. Based on the findings above, it can be concluded that there was no difference in the mean of mathematics learning outcomes of students taught by cooperative learning model both TGT type and TS type. The models provided good learning outcomes and improved the students’ engagement in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) merupakan program berskala internasional yang diselenggarakan tiap 3 tahun sekali oleh Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Salah satu aspek yang diukur adalah kemampuan numerasi siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah di kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, belum terbentuknya habituasi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal berbasis PISA menjadikan Sebagian besar siswa memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang rendah. SMP Negeri 1 Kolaka adalah salah satu sekolah yang telah berproses membentuk habituasi tersebut. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal PISA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang melibatkan 28 siswa kelas VIII SMP negeri 1 Kolaka sebagai subjek penelitian. Data diambil menggunakan instrumen tes berbasis PISA dan hasilnya dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika berbasis PISA kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kolaka termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 71,32. Pada konten quantity rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sebesar 88,96 (Sangat Tinggi), pada konten space and shape rata-ratanya sebesar 56,82 (Rendah), pada konten change and relationship sebesar 74,51 (Tinggi), dan pada konten uncertainly and data sebesar 76,50 (Tinggi).
