Abstract

Microalbuminuria has been linking to cardiovascular (CV) risk in patients with diabetes or hypertension in unselectedgeneral population. Serum Uric Acid (UA) is an emerging novel risk factor for CV disease. The aim of our study was to evaluatethe correlations between hyperucemia and microalbuminuria in the adult Legian Kuta Village population. We selected eligible136 participants of adult (>18 years old) in Legian Kuta village who agreed to participate. We excluded diabetes mellitus, hypertension, urinary tract infection, and fever. We measured total cholesterol, HDL, LDL-cholesterol, triglyseride, fasting and2-hour post prandial blood sugar, serum creatinine, serum uric acid, systolc-diastolic blood pressure and microalbuminuria(Urinary Albumin/Creatinine Ratio, ACR).The prevalence of hyperuricemia in our study was 16.9 % while microalbuminuria was 5.1 % (ACR 30 ! 299  g/mgcreatinine) and macroalbuminuria 1.5% (ACR > 300  g/mg creatinine). Hyperuricemia and obesity signiÞ cantly correlated withmicroalbuminuria by Bivariate Analysis Spearmanrho correlation r = 0.274, p = 0.001; r = 0.178, p = 0.038 (p < 0.05) respectively.Age, sex, smoking, total cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglyseride were not signiÞ cantly correlated with microalbuminuria (p >0.05). In a stepwise multiple logistic regression model, hyperuricemia to microalbuminuria remained signiÞ cantly correlatedwith R Square 0.280 and prevalence ratio 7.90; p = 0.013; 95% CI 1.54 ! 40.60. Obesity was not signiÞ cantly correlated withmicroalbuminuria p = 0.161; 95% CI 0.59 ! 23.03. Our study showed hyperuricemia was signiÞ cantly correlated, as independentpredictors to microalbuminuria.

Abstract

Peace is a dream of all religions. There is no religion that teaches violence. However, in practice, there are still a lot of tragedies caused by both religious fanaticism and misunderstanding of religion. In this article, the author wanted to examine the ethics of peace in the Qur'an. By observing a few verses, although not as a whole, the Qur'an appears to have peace ethics from the smallest scope like a small family up to the most extensive scope of the inter-countries relation.

Abstract

Abstract

There are differences of opinion among Muslims about the validity of mut'ah marriage (temporary marriage). Some permit it and others do not. The Syi'ah Imamiyyah allows it, whereas the majority of Muslims (Sunni, Syi'ah Zaidiyyah and Syi'ah Isma'iliyyah) do not. This paper studies the views of these two groups, as well as the argumentation they use, and also looks at which view is closer in spirit to the marriage law in Indonesia. After analysing the two arguments, can be concluded that the stronger argument is that of the majority of ulama who do not allow mut'ah marriage. Meanwhile in terms of Indonesian marriage law, mut'ah marriage is not in accordance with the goals and idealism of the family as a body and soul bond to create a household that is sakinah, mawaddah and rahmah.

Abstract

In recent years, the hotel business has become a leading sector in the development of the halal industry. This makes hoteliers compete to provide excellent service for Muslim tourists. This phenomenon received a positive response from the government with the issuance of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Regulation No. 2 of 2014 concerning guidelines for the implementation of a sharia hotel business. This paper attempts to describe the response of hoteliers in Yogyakarta and Bali to ministerial regulation. The results of this study conclude that hoteliers in Yogyakarta respond to these regulations by choosing the concept of a sharia hotel, namely hotel management in accordance with the provisions of Islamic law; while hoteliers in Bali choose the concept of a Muslim-friendly hotel, namely a hotel with Islamic characteristics that is able to provide basic facilities that are more friendly to Muslim customers.

Abstract

One of the most principal sources of Sunni-Shia conflict is the claim aboutthe presence of'tahrīf Al-Qur'an', or the distortion in the Qur'an, in many Shia literatures of Qur'an exegesis books. The claim ends in causing many Shia Muslims to suffer discrimination. For example, they are believed to have a different version of the Qur’an and the doctrin of taqiyyahwith which they the true nature of their belif. This study focuses on the works of Abu al-Hasan ‘Ali bin Ibrahim al-Qummi which are considered to be the main reference for accusing Shia Muslims of distorting some Qur’anic verses(tahrīf). This study aims to review the thought of al-Qummiabout tahrīf al-Qur’anas he claimed. This is library research using content analysis. The research found that al-Qummiwhen developing the concept of 'tahrīf Al-Qur'an'focused on exegetical exercises, not on actual distortion of the Qur’anic texts. This finding was based on the fact that the term ‘tahrif’ which that some classical ulema (figures) of Shia Muslims made did not deal with distortion of the Qur’anic verses (the corruption of texts), but with Qur’an interpretations which contradict the intended meaning of the Qur’anic verses (the corruption of meaning).

Abstract

This study aims to analyzeorganizational culture, communication, discipline and work motivation on employee performance at the National Land Agency of Labuhanbatu Regency. This type of research is quantitative, the place of this research is the National Land Agency of Labuhanbatu Regency and a questionnaire using a Likert scale. The multiple linear regression equation of this study is: Y= (-6.790) +0.263X1+0.314X2 +0.657X3+0.312X4. The results of the regression analysis obtained the t-count value of 2.423 > t-table 1.66277 explaining that the Communication variable (X2) has a positive effect on the Employee Performance variable (Y). Then the significant value is 0.017 <0.05, which means that the Communication variable (X2) has a significant effect on the Employee Performance variable (Y). Then the results of the regression analysis obtained the t arithmetic value of 4.496 > t table 1.66277 indicating that the Discipline variable (X3) has a positive effect on the Employee Performance variable (Y). From these results it can be stated that Organizational Culture (X1), Communication (X2), Discipline (X3), and Work Motivation (X4) simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance (Y). The value of R Square from the analysis of the coefficient of determination of 0.588 means that Employee Performance can be explained by the variables of Organizational Culture, Communication, Discipline and Work Motivation of 58.8%, while the remaining 41.2% can be explained by other variables not examined in this study.
