Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the best effect from the consentration of coconut water to growth of kawista leaf explant (Limonia acidissima L.) with tissue culture methods. Research done in the laboratory of faculty of Agriculture of Singaperbangsa University. The method of research used experimental method, using a single Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Consisting of 12 treatments of coconut water, namely A control 0%, B 10%, C 20%, D 30%, E 40%, F 50%, G 60%, H 70%, I 80%, J 90%, K 100%, and L 10 ppm NAA+0,1 ppm BAP, each treatment with 3 replications. The results showed significant test done DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) standard of 5%. The results showed that administration of coconut water significantly affected the percentage of callus growth, callus emergence and callus weight. The best treatment was with a treatment I (80%) with 100% growth percentage, and give callus weight of 1,22 gram. Treatment D (30%) give fastest callus growth time is 9 hsi.

Abstract

Ginseng Jawa (Talinum triangular) merupakan tanaman yang seluruh bagian tanamannya memiliki khasiat sebagai obat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah optimalisasi zat pengatur tumbuh untuk inisasi kalus ginseng jawa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan Kebun Raya Cibodas – Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) pada bulan Agustus sampai bulan November 2021. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan sembilan kombinasi perlakuan 2,4-D (Dichlorophenoxyatic Acid) and Benzyl Adenine (BA) dengan tiga ulangan. Eksplan daun berdiameter 8 mm ditanam pada botol kultur berisi media Murashige and Skoog yang mengandung kombinasi konsentrasi zat pengatur tumbuh 2,4-D (0,5 ppm, 1 ppm, dan 1,5 ppm) dan BA (0,5 ppm, 1 ppm, dan 1,5 ppm). Eksplan yang ditanaman mampu menghasilkan kalus dengan waktu awal muncul kalus antara 13-22 hari setelah inisiasi dan memiliki tekstur remah pada semua perlakuan. Terdapat empat warna kalus yang dihasilkan dari perlakuan ini, yaitu moderate yellow green, grayish yellow green, pale olive dan pale brown. Terdapat kombinasi konsentrasi terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan D2B3 (1 ppm 2,4-D + 1,5 ppm BA) yang memberikan pertumbuhan optimal pada parameter panjang kalus sebesar 3,17 cm dan parameter berat basah kalus sebesar 2,16 gram serta berat kering kalus sebesar 0,21 gram.

Abstract

Tanaman buncis (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) merupakan komoditas sayuran yang banyak dibudidayakan oleh petani karena pangsa pasar yang besar, namun produktifitasnya yang masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi air fermentasi limbah organik yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil tertinggi tanaman buncis (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) paling optimal. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Sukaluyu, Kecamatan Teluk Jambe Timur, Kabupaten Karawang, Provinsi Jawa barat, Indonesia pada bulan Febuari-Maret 2022. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ekperimental Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal yang terdiri dari 7 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, yaitu: d1 (konsentrasi POC nasa 2 ml/l), d2 (konsentrasi air fermentasi limbah organik 0 ml/l), d3 (konsentrasi air fermentasi limbah organik100 ml/l), d4 (konsentrasi air fermentasi limbah organik 200 ml/l), d5 (konsentrasi air fermentasi limbah organik 300 ml/l, d6 (konsentrasi air fermentasi limbah organik 400 ml/l), d7 (konsentrasi air fermentasi limbah organik 500 ml/l), d8 (Pupuk NPK 350 kg/ha). Perlakuan d4 (konsentrasi air fermentasi limbah organik 200 ml/l) memberikan hasil tertinggi pada parameter tinggi tanaman dan parameter jumlah daun, namun tidak berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan lainnya. Bedasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulakan bahwa pemberian air fermentasi limbah organik berbagai konsentrasi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun.

Abstract

Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L) is one of the most widely consumed horticultural product in Indonesia. The use of organic matter is one of the efforts to meet the nutritional needs that will be absorbed by plants and increase soil fertility. The purpose of this study was to provide information on the best concentration of fermented water from organic waste on the growth and yield of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) Mercy F1 variety. This research was conducted for three months, from February to March 2022 in Sukaluyu Village, Telukjambe Timur District, Karawang Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia. This research method used an experimental method with a single factor randomized block design (RAK). The number of treatments was 8, each of which was repeated 4 times, so there were 32 experimental units. The treatments were A0 (0 ml/l), A1 (100 ml/l), A2 (200 ml/l), A3 (300 ml/l), A4 (400 ml/l), A5 (500 ml/l ), A6 (NASA POC), and A7 (NPK Fertilizer). The results showed that the application of giving the concentration of fermented water from organic waste did not significantly affect the growth and yield of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) Abstract

Mustard greens is a vegetable that is in great demand by the public because it contains various good nutrients for health and its cultivation is easy to do, so to meet public demand it is necessary to increase production, namely by fertilizing.. This study aims to obtain the concentration of liquid organic waste fermented water which has the best effect on the growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.). The research method used was a Single Factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) experiment with fermented water concentrations of liquid organic waste, namely A0 (control), A1 (100 ml/l), A2 (200 ml/l), A3 (300 ml/l) , A4 (400 ml/l), A5 (500 ml/l) and A6 (POC NASA 4 ml/l). Consists of 7 treatments and 5 replications, so there are 35 experimental units. The results of analysis of variance and DMRT level of 5% explained that the difference in the concentration of fermented liquid organic waste had a significant effect on plant height and number of leaves aged 14, 21 and 28 days after mustard plants. Treatment A1 (100 ml/l liquid organic waste fermented water) gave the best results on the growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.). Keywords: Fermentation water, liquid organic waste, Mustard (Brassica juncea L.)

Abstract

One of the important things in cultivating plants in a hydroponic system is a nutrient solution because the nutrients needed by plants can only be fulfilled by providing a nutrient solution. The aim of this study was to obtain the best combination of AB mixed fertilizer with POC Azolla pinnata for Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) hydroponic wick system. The research method used a single factor randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 6 treatments which were repeated 4 times. The treatment combination consisted of A = AB mix (5.25 ml/L), B = AB mix (10.5 ml/L), C = AB mix (0 ml/L) + POC Azolla pinnata (10 ml/L) , D = AB mix (0 ml/L) + POC Azolla pinnata (15 ml/L), E = AB mix (5.25 ml/L) + POC Azolla pinnata (10 ml/L), F = AB mix ( 5.25 ml/L) + POC Azolla pinnata (15 ml/L). The results of the study showed that treatment B (AB mix (10.5 ml/L) produced the highest fresh weight of pakcoy plants in the hydroponic wick system which was 47.56 grams and in treatment E (5.25 ml/L + 10 ml/L) yielded a significant plant height of 20.77 cm.Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the administration of a combination of AB mix with POC Azolla pinnata on the wick system hydroponic pakcoy plants showed a significant effect on all growth and yield parameters.

Abstract

Selada merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang memiliki nilai jual tinggi. Upaya untuk meningkatkan produksi tanaman selada dapat dilakukan melaui teknik budidaya salah satunya yaitu pemupukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air fermentasi dari bahan organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada varietas Grand Rapids. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal. Faktor yang diuji adalah penambahan air fermentasi bahan organik yang terdiri dari 7 perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah A0 (kontrol 0 ml/l), A1 (konsentrasi 100 ml/l), A2 (konsentrasi 200 ml/l), A3 (konsentrasi 300 ml/l), A4 (konsentrasi 400 ml/l), A5 (konsentrasi 500 ml/l), dan A6 (POC NASA 6 ml/l).  Pengaruh perlakuan dianalisis dengan sidik ragam  dan jika uji F taraf 5% signifikan, maka dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut DMRT (Duncan Muliple Range Test) taraf 5%. Hasil menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh nyata pemberian air fermentasi bahan organik terhadap tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun umur 14 hst, 21 hst, 28 hst, dan 35 hst, tetapi berbeda nyata pada umur 7 hst. Perlakuan dengan konsentrasi 100 ml/l memberikan pengaruh nyata pada tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun umur 14 hst, 21 hst, 28 hst, dan 35 hst.

Abstract

Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) is a horticultural commodity that requires adequate nutrition during its growth. Nutritional needs can be met through fertilization. The use of organic fertilizers is an environmentally friendly fertilization option in an effort to reduce the introduction of inorganic fertilizers into the soil. The purpose of this study was to obtain market waste liquid organic fertilizer concentration that can support the growth of shallots. The research was conducted from January 2023 to March 2023 at Ciherang Land, Wadas Village, and Karawang Regency. The single factor study used a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 8 treatments which were repeated 5 times so that 40 experimental plots were obtained with the following treatments: P0 (Concentration 0 ml/l); P1 (Concentration 100 ml/l); P2 (Concentration 200 ml/l); P3 (Concentration 300 ml/l); P4 (Concentration 400 ml/l); P5 (Concentration 500 ml/l); P6 (Nasa POC Concentration 5 ml/l); P7 (NPK Fertilizer 500 kg/ha). The results showed that the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from market waste had a significant effect on shallot plant height with the treatment P7 (NPK Fertilizer 500 kg/ha) giving the best plant height of 43.00 cm at 42 dap. Keywords: Liquid Organic Fertilizer, Horticulture, Shallot

Abstract

Kultur jaringan adalah metoda budidaya tanaman secara nonkonvensional. Salah satu tanaman yang punya potensi dibudidayakan dengan teknik ini yaitu kawista, karena memiliki khasiat sebagai tanaman obat. Desa adiarsa barat, Kecamatan Karawang Barat memiliki permasalahan lahan yang terbatas dan rata-rata masyarakat hanya memiliki pekarangan sempit untuk dapat melakukan kegiatan menanam tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA). Sehingga dibutuhkan metoda budidaya tanaman yang tidak membutuhkan lahan yang luas dengan keunggulan bisa mendapatkan bibit yang unggul. Kegiatan pengabdian meliputi pengenalan teknik kultur jaringan, penjelasan cara pembuatan media tanam, dan praktek langsung penanaman eksplan tanaman pada media. Hasil pengabdian diketahui bahwa tingkat pemahaman masyarakat terhadap teknik kultur jaringan sebesar 0% sebelum pelatihan, dan 27% setelah pelatihan dilakukan.
