Abstract

Perkembangan suatu bangsa ditentukan oleh kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM). Dalam hal ini, tanpa terkecuali SDM yang berstatus sebagai warga binaan pemasyarakatan. Upaya pengembangan SDM merupakan upaya terencana yang dilakukan secara berkesinambungan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi maupun kualitas seseorang. Pada tahun 2020 ini fokus pengembangan SDM bagi warga binaan dipengaruhi oleh kondisi kesehatan dunia yang disebabkan oleh virus Covid-19. Sehingga diperlukan keterampilan tambahan untuk menunjang kesehatan seluruh warga binaan. Keterampilan tambahan ini dikhususkan agar warga binaan mampu secara mandiri merespon dan bertindak baik dalam mengahadapi ancaman virus Covid-19.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui urgensi upgrade skill bagi warga binaan dan dampak Covid-19 bagi warga binaan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di LAPAS kelas 1 Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa upgrade skill bagi warga binaan sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas diri serta rasa percaya diri, selanjutnya dampak Covid-19 bagi warga binaan yaitu terkait sejumlah kebijakan baru yang diterapkan di LAPAS.

Abstract

Abstract: Textbooks are one of the supporting learning processes and must be prepared according to the applicable curriculum, namely the 2013 curriculum. In fact, not all books used in the learning process currently have quality content and relevant content suitability. Moreover, not all textbooks have been prepared using a scientific approach. One of the textbooks that need to be reviewed is the Mechanics and Machine Elements for Class X on Vocational High Schools. There is a need for a study related to the suitability of the contents of the books according to KI and KD and adjust to aspects of the appropriateness of content, language, presentation, and graphics of textbooks. The preparation of the book must also be adjusted to the scientific approach in accordance with the 2013’s curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the teacher's understanding and how teacher’s role in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research design with case study. Research data supported by research tools in the form of audio-visual and field notes. The informants are the headmaster, the vice minister of curriculum, teachers, and students who carry out learning using the 2013 curriculum at SMK 1 Kertosono. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the understanding of teachers is not so fully understood the 2013 curriculum as a whole. The role of teacher for implementation of the 2013 curriculum conducted by teachers including: (1) Planning, teachers in making learning plans based on the results of teacher group discussions conducted between teacher peers and the internet; (2) Implementation, the implementation of learning conducted by the teacher includes three activities, namely the introduction, main, and closing activities; and (3) Assessments, assessments made by teachers are authentic assessments, which include; assessment of attitudes, knowledge and skills.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan kajian tentang: (1)tenaga kerja konstruksi; (2) technical skill; dan (3)pentingnya technical skill bagi tenaga kerja konstruksi. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari kajian ini bahwa, tenaga kerja yang kompeten secara langsung memiliki technical skill mumpuni dalam melaksakan pekerjaannya. Perkembangan pembangunan infrastruktur di Indonesia semakin banyak membutuhkan tenaga kerja dengan technical skill mumpuni sesuai kompetensi keahliaannya. Kebutuhan tenaga kerja konstruksi menjadi hal yang utama. Perlunya pengembangan dan penerapan technical skill sejak di bangku sekolah atau lembaga pelatihan, diharapkan dapat membiasakan serta membekali siswa dengan technical skill sebelum memasuki dunia kerja.

Abstract

Abstrak: Dalam rangka meningkatkan keterampilan warga binaan pemasyarakatan Lapas Kelas 1 Malang, rutin diadakan pelatihan guna membekali para warga binaan agar setelah keluar nanti bisa mandiri secara ekonomi dan mempunyai soft skill. Melalui hal ini diharapkan mereka tidak akan kebingungan lantaran setelah keluar Lapas sudah memiliki keahlian. Meskipun sedang dalam masa pandemi, program pengembangan pembinaan  kemandirian tetap bejalan meskipun tidak sebanyak kegiatan saat sebelum mewabahnya virus covid-19. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan ilmu dan keterampilan bagi warga binaan Kelas 1 Kota Malang, sehingga ketika mereka menghirup udara bebas nanti mereka punya bekal ketampilan yang dapat dikembangkan di rumah sebagai bentuk usaha dalam menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan sendiri yang halal. Harapannya nanti, mereka dapat berapdaptasitasi dan diterima masyarakat menjadi pribadi yang baik. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini dimulai dari survey mitra, menganalisis masalah, memecahkan masalah, dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan yang sudah dilaksanakan, kegiatan berjalan dengan lancar meskipun menemui sedikit kendala teknis pada sarana dan prasaranan yang tersedia di Lapas kelas 1 Malang. Antusias warga binaan memberikan respon yang sangat positif sehingga kegiatan yang serupa dapat terus dilaksanakan guna meningkatkan skill dan ilmu baru bagi warga binaan.Abstract: In order to improve the skills of the Class 1 Correctional Facilities in Malang, routine training is held to equip the assisted residents so that after leaving they can be economically independent and have soft skills. Through this, it is hoped that they will not be confused because after leaving prison they already have expertise. Even though it is currently in a pandemic period, the self-reliance development program is still running, although not as many activities as before the Covid-19 virus outbreak. This community service activity aims to provide knowledge and skills for the Class 1 members of Malang City, so that when they breathe the free air, they will have skills that can be developed at home as a form of effort to create their own halal jobs. Hopefully later, they can adapt and be accepted by society to be good people. This method of implementing community service starts from partner surveys, problem analysis, problem solving, and evaluation. Based on the results of the training that had been carried out, the activity ran smoothly even though it encountered a few technical problems with the facilities and infrastructure available at the Class 1 Prison in Malang. Abstract

The goals of this research is to describe more fully about the implications sarjana mengajar program in terms of success for fulfillment of vocational high school teachers, learning management, and improving the quality of learning. This research is qualitative descriptive study with multi-site research. The techniques of data analysis is descriptive qualitative analysis. Based on the data analysis results, there were three conclusions. First, sarjana mengajar program was on target for fulfillment of vocational high school teachers in the school target. Second, the role of sarjana mengajar participants for developing learning management in school target was already quite good, but still need improvement in some aspects of that learning objectives can actually be achieved. Third, sarjana mengajar program had a role to improving the quality of learning in schools target, but still needed more in-depth scrutiny to continue improving the quality of learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara lebih dalam terkait implikasi program sarjana mengajar ditinjau dari segi keberhasilan dalam pemenuhan guru SMK, manajemen pembelajaran, dan peningkatan mutu pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Rancangan penelitiannya yaitu studi kasus multisitus. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh 3 kesimpulan. Pertama, program sarjana mengajar tepat sasaran dalam pemenuhan guru SMK di sekolah tujuan program. Kedua, peran peserta sarjana mengajar dalam mengembangkan manajemen pembelajaran di sekolah tujuan program sudah cukup baik, namun masih perlu adanya perbaikan pada beberapa aspek agar tujuan pembelajaran benar-benar dapat dicapai. Ketiga, program sarjana mengajar turut berperan dalam peningkatan mutu pembelajaran pada sekolah tujuan program, namun masih diperlukan pengawasan yang lebih mendalam untuk terus meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran.

Abstract

Currently, there are many environmental damages caused by human activities. Environmental damage can cause harm to humans, for example, floods, landslides, and air and water pollution, which are examples of environmental damage caused by human activity. Education is one of the means to raise awareness for students to preserve their environment. The government seeks to apply environmental insights through formal education. One of the government programs in environmentally sound education is the Adiwiyata Program. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of environmental education at SMK Negeri 1 Boyolangu to get the Adiwiyata Mandiri award. This study used a qualitative approach with one type of case study site. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study were an explanation of the application of environmental education at SMK Negeri 1 Boyolangu to get the Adiwiyata Mandiri award, a description of the steps taken by the school to anticipate obstacles to the implementation of environmental education, and exposure to the efforts made by schools in maintaining these achievements and always developing students' awareness to protect the environment.

Abstract

Mutu sekolah kejuruan sangat ditentukan oleh kelengkapan sarana prasarana praktik yang ada dibengkel/laboratorium serta kompetensi guru bidang produktif. Keterampilan mengelola bengkel/laboratorium bagi guru SMK akan berdampak pada kelancaran kegiatan pembelajaran, terhindarnya kecelakaan kerja saat kegiatan praktikum, dan berdampak pada mutu lulusan. Pengabdian Masyarakatn ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengatahuan dan keterampiran para guru SMK di Kabupaten Trenggalek dalam pengelolaan dan pengoperasian bengkel  guna mencegah kecelakaan kerja. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, tanya-jawab, dan demonstrasi. Peserta pelatihan diwajibkan mengikuti pre-test dan pos-test untuk melihat keberhasilan pelaksanaan pelatihan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta pelatihan mengalami peningkatan pemahaman dan kompetensi manajemen bengkel/laboratorium pendidikan. Kata kunci— kecelakaan kerja, kompetensi guru SMK, manajemen bengkel Abstract The quality of vocational schools is very much determined by the completeness of the existing practical infrastructure in the workshop / laboratory as well as the competence of teachers in productive fields. The skills in managing a workshop / laboratory for vocational teachers will have an impact on the smooth running of learning activities, avoid work accidents during practicum activities, and have an impact on the quality of graduates. This Community Service aims to increase the knowledge and skills of vocational school teachers in Trenggalek Regency in managing and operating workshops to prevent work accidents. The activity methods used include lectures, questions and answers, and demonstrations. Training participants are required to take a pre-test and post-test to see the success of the training implementation. Abstract

The major factors determining the quality of sand casting products are the base sand and the composition of the sand mould and the binding material. In the foundry industry, the most commonly used binder for creating sand moulds is bentonite. However, the price of bentonite is likely to keep rising. This study aimed at discovering a new binder formula associated with the effect of binder composition i.e. bentonite, tapioca flour, and sago flour on the basis of its mechanical and physical properties. The new formula was expected to be a better binder in the production of sand moulds, resulting in high-quality casting products with minimal defects. Moreover, it is probable to be much more economical than bentonite. This research focused on testing the moulding sand composition with a number of different binders, i.e. bentonite, tapioca flour, and sago flour, each in a different proportion. The mixture of the moulding sand with each of the three binders will be tested in terms of its mechanical properties including compressive, shear, and tensile strength. Based on the test results, sago flour has the highest dry compressive strength of 28.6 N/cm2, whereas bentonite has the highest wet compressive strength, i.e. 11.83 N/cm2 and the highest wet shear strength i.e. 3.16 N/cm2. The binder with the highest dry shear strength is tapioca flour with 18.16 N/cm2. Regarding the tensile strength value, bentonite has the highest wet tensile strength of 0.85 N/cm2, while sago flour has the highest dry tensile strength of 1.73 N/cm2.

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) merupakan salah satu sekolah yang memiliki potensi resiko bahaya kerja lebih tinggi dibandingkan jenis sekolah yang lain. Hal ini diibaratkan bahwa SMK merupakan salah satu wujud pabrik sekolah dimana di dalamnya terdapat laboratorium, bengkel maupun workshop untuk aktivitas praktik siswa. Adapun potensi resiko bahaya yang terdapat di SMK salah satunya yaitu faktor ergonomi. Faktor ergonomi berkaitan dengan kebiasaan kerja oleh masing-masing individu. Oleh karenanya seluruh SDM di SMK sudah seharusnya memiliki pemahaman terkait ergonomi yang benar. Sehingga para SDM di SMK dapat menerapkannya secara tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui pemahaman guru terkait dampak Covid-19 pada pendidikan di SMK, 2) mengetahui pemahaman guru terkait budaya belajar ergonomis untuk pencegahan Covid-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian yaitu guru SMK di Malang berjumlah 25 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa 1) secara garis besar guru memiliki pemahaman terkait dampak Covid-19 bagi pendidikan di SMK yang sangat berpengaruh pada tatanan sistem pembelajaran pada berbagai aspek, 2) guru memiliki pemahaman yang cukup terkait budaya belajar ergonomis untuk pencegahan Covid-19, namun masih diperlukan tindak lanjut secara nyata agar penerapan budaya belajar ergonomis lebih maksimal.
