Abstract

Hasbi et al, 2017. Farmer Perception to Chilli Cultivtion in Floating Agricultural System in Pelabuhan Dalam Village, Ogan Ilir. JLSO 6(2):126-133.The purpose of this research was to utilize potential  waste of local resource especially mineral bottle as a floating raft, to train farmer to construct it, to increase farm production, to socialize how to produce inexpensive, widely available, good quality and environmental friendly floating raft made of mineral bottle, and to evaluate farmers response. This research was conducted at Pelabuhan Dalam Village, Subdistrict of Pemulutan, District of Ogan Ilir.  The step of this research were socialization to farmers, display the system of floating cultivation and farmers perception evaluation.  The results showed that the system was prospective to be developed based on statements of interested farmers.  One of the important finding was that the system was easy to maintenance. The farmers were optimistic that the system could be developed by them selves.

Abstract

Pemanfaatannya buah kelapa di Wilayah Sumatera Selatan masih terbatas pada olahan buah kelapa saja sebagai bahan baku pembuatan minyak kelapa dan kebutuhan rumah tangga. Tempurung kelapa sebagai limbah pertanian, jika diolah dengan baik maka akan menjadi sumber nafkah, karena tempurung kelapa memiliki potensi yang baik untuk digunakan sebagai bahan baku industri, salah satunya asap cair (liquefied smoke). Penelitian tentang pembuatan dan pemanfaatan asap cair (liquefied smoke) telah banyak dilakukan sebelumnya namun memiliki banyak kelemahan, diantaranya kurang efektif dan efisien, biaya produksi yang mahal serta sulit pengoperasiaannya. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini diusulkan pembuatan alat pembuat asap cair yang lebih sederhana, murah dan efisien dengan pengaturan tekanan udara panas mengunaakan teknik modifikasi gate valve. Alat pembuat asap cair yang telah dimodifikasi telah diuji coba dan mampu meningkatkan hasil produksi asap cair 59,3 % pada suhu 2000 C.

(Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal 2019, Palembang 4-5 September 2019. pp. 370-391. Palembang: Unsri Press.  This research was aimed to determine the adoption level of agricultural technology, especially tractor, rice transplanter and water pumps of tidal farmers at Banyuasin and Ogan Ilir Regencies. This research was conducted in September 2018 until January 2019 at the Telang Mandiri (KTM) tidal rice field center, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin District and lowland Swamp, Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. This study used a descriptive method by displaying percentage values in the form of  tabulations. This study used four parameters, namely farmers' perceptions of machine operation and repairing, engine performance and results obtained, machine operating costs and the level of acceptance of the machine adopted.The results showed that adoption of farmer’s perceptions of pre-harvest technology were quite high. The level of acceptance of the machines adopted in tidal land and swamp swamps in the form of tractors and water pumping machines was quite high, but the adoption of rice planting machines was very low. The level of adoption of rice planting machines on both research fields was very low, because rice planting machines were difficult to be introduced and were not suitable to be applied in swamps. The interest of farmers in the use of water pumping machines was quite high, but large-scale irrigation and drainage systems were needed so that the distribution of water was evenly distributed on each land both near the river or far from the river. The higher of farmers' interest in a technology, the faster of adoption of these technological innovations.Keywords: adoption, tractor, rice transplanter, water pump

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).The purpose of this research was to find out the amount of agricultural tools and machinery and the invesment incurred to procure agricultural equipment and machinery required to improve the production of rice in the regency of South OKU, South Sumatra province. The research was carried out on Juni until October of 2019 at Department of Agriculture of South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, Food Security Service of South Ogan Komering Ulu, UPJA (Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Services Unit), Gapoktan (Farmer Groups Union) in BPR Ranau Tengah, Buay Runjung, and Muaradua Kisam sub-district of South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. This research used a descriptive method with tabulation presentation. The parameters used in this research were the number of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery, the level of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery sufficiency and the cost of investment. The result of this research has shown that the distribution of Agricultural Tools and Machinery was still very deficient and not evenly distributed. Two-wheel tractor and rice transplanter showed the percentage of 73% or in medium category, four-wheel tractor in percentage of 100% or in sufficient category and the agricultural tools and machinary in deficient category with percemtage under 40% includes combine harvester, power thresher and vertical dryer. Most sub-district in South OKU have not yet received any equipment, the sub-district that received it have insufficient number of equipment. The total investment cost to be incurred to satisfy agricultural equipment and machinery requirement in South OKU regency was 39,889,500,000 IDR.
