Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the application of the concept of green or green concept in hotels. The desire to get a comfortable atmosphere is certainly supported by fresh air from nature in addition to other facilities such as cleanliness. In certain circumstances, hotel stays can be done in cities with high pollution levels. Green building concept hotel selection is certainly one of the considerations by some guests who indeed prioritize the comfortable atmosphere obtained from the fresh air. the same thing is more easily obtained at hotels located in mountainous areas or beaches, especially during a pandemic because of the covid 19. The research used descriptive research methods and survey methods were used through in-depth interviews. From the analysis of several hotels that claim to use the concept of green concept, the results obtained are not all hotels apply the concept of green concept entirely,even though the hotel is located in mountainous and coastal areas, whereas the green concept is very appropriate in using wisely and ensuring the continuity of the supply of natural resources and the environment in the future and maintaining air quality by optimizing air circulation and sunlight (CHSE standards). Abstract

The tourism sector is one source of local revenue. Yosomulyo Pelangi Tourism Market was developed to increase people's income through market tourism performances which is the result of increased and growing community participation. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of community empowerment on Pasar Payugi Pelangi Tourism on the welfare of Yusomulyo Village. The method used is descriptive correlational method with a quantitative approach. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires. The sampling technique in this study used saturated sampling because the total population was the same as the number of samples, namely 30 traders at the Yosomulyo Pelangi Tourism Market. This is because better community empowerment is able to improve the quality of human resources that are able to add new jobs, improve infrastructure, and encourage communities to open or develop businesses that have an impact on improving village welfare as well. It is hoped that the role of the government is involved in empowering the community of Yosomulyo Village because it can provide various trainings that support, not only tourism but also train community independence through empowerment programs, so that people are able to be independent, and slowly improve their well-being. Abstract

Hotel is a labor-intensive industry which until now still requires a lot of human resources in its work operations. The nature of hotel is open for 24 hours to serve guests, especially in operational departments. Overall hotel employees tend not to last long at work. Some employees state that their decision to leave, due to incompatibility with the work environment. This study aimed to analyze the impact of resilience on hotel employees’ engagement in Jakarta. The study was conducted with a quantitative descriptive approach. Research respondents were hotel employees in Jakarta area. Data was collected by convenience sampling, by distributing questionnaire which consisted of respondents’ profiles and statement of variable X variable (resilience) and Y variable (work engagement). The data was analyzed by using validity and reliability test, descriptive (frequency and mean), Pearson correlation, coefficient determination and simple linear regression test. The study found that there was a strong relationship between resilience and work engagement. The higher employees’ resilience is the higher employee engagement will be.

Abstract

Mentawai is well known as an ecotourism area in Indonesia, with its Siberut National Park recognized as part of the World Network of Biosphere Reserves. People come to visit this exotic area every year to do activities and enjoying the natural surroundings. Tourist visits to Mentawai were escalating by years, both domestic and foreign tourists. Regional income from tourism was also increasing. Ecotourism is known worldwide for its benefit for economic contribution to local communities and poverty alleviation. The economic contribution of ecotourism is often appreciated through its direct effect on local business enterprises on sites. However, statistics today showed that Mentawai are still categorized as underdeveloped and poor. Therefore, this descriptive research objective was to assess tourism contribution by means of direct effect to local business enterprises and challenges faced by villages near Siberut National Park, South Siberut, Mentawai. A survey was conducted in November 2018 by distributing questionnaires to 19 representatives of tourism-related Local Business Enterprises (LBEs) using an accidental sampling technique. Data collected were then processed, analyzed and interpreted. In conclusion, this study shows that there is a low direct effect of tourism to the existing Local Business Enterprise in the villages of Muntei, Madobag, and Matotonan of South Siberut, Mentawai Island Regency, West Sumatera, Indonesia. In addition, essential challenges exist, not to mention managerial, predominantly concerning financial and legal matters. It is recommended that local government and other stakeholders put more consideration not only on environmental and social aspects, but also economy, represented by local business enterprises. Initiatives and integrated actions should be arranged and put in practice as empowering tourism, particularly ecotourism to its optimum, to bring about foremost contribution to local economy through direct effect of tourism to local business enterprises. Abstract

Meskipun sebagian besar operasional pekerjaan rutin pada berbagai bisnis telah tergantikan oleh teknologi, namun pada bisnis perhotelan masih membutuhkan sejumlah orang untuk menyelesaikan pekerjaan operasionalnya. Ciri khas industri perhotelan adalah pada jam kerja operasionalnya. Bisnis hotel buka 24 jam dan berusaha sangat efisien dalam mempekerjakan orang. Jumlah orang terbatas, dan biasanya dibagi secara bergiliran. Karyawan yang terbatas itu harus melayani tamu tanpa keluhan. Kondisi ini menimbulkan tekanan bagi atasan, sehingga dapat menimbulkan sikap kurang menyenangkan atasan untuk mencapai kinerja yang sangat baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak sikap kurang menyenangkan atasan terhadap keterikatan kerja karyawan hotel di Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Karyawan hotel dipilih sebagai responden dengan convenience sampling. Responden diminta untuk mengisi kuesioner mengenai profil mereka dan persepsi mereka tentang sikap kurang menyenangkan atasan serta dampaknya terhadap niat karyawan untuk mengundurkan diri. Analisis data menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas, deskriptif (frekuensi dan mean), dan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasilnya adalah terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari sikap kurang menyenangkan atasan terhadap niat karyawan untuk mengundurkan diri dari hotel di Jakarta. Kata kunci: sikap kurang menyenangkan atasan, niat untuk mengundurkan diri, karyawan, hotel

Abstract

Salah satu yang menarik dari sebuah produk adalah kemasan. Kemasan merupakan salah satu alat promosi penjualan suatu produk. Kemasan mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting karena selalu terkait dengan produk yang dikemas dan memiliki nilai jual serta citra produk. Pelatihan desain kemasan produk untuk kelompok wanita nelayan di Desa Sungsang IV Kabupaten Banyuasin, Sumatera Selatan, ini untuk memberikan wawasan desain dan bentuk kemasan yang membuat produk menjadi lebih bernilai dan aman untuk lingkungan karena mudah didaur ulang. Metode yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode presentasi mengenai pengenalan bentuk dan desain packaging, Metode demonstrasi mengenai contoh kemasan produk yang baik disesuaikan dengan produk yang diproduksi oleh ibu-ibu kelompok wanita nelayan, dilanjutkan dengan diskusi untuk menganalisis contoh kemasan produk pembanding lainnya. Metode evaluasi dengan mengamati hasil pelatihan yang didapat, yaitu peserta terlihat sangat antusias dan berdiskusi aktif untuk pengembangan kemasan produknya agar lebih bernilai jual dan ramah untuk lingkungan. Pendampingan akan terus dilakukan setelah kegiatan pelatihan ini. Tim pelaksana yang terdiri dari para dosen dan mahasiswa dari Program Studi Perhotelan Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Trisakti akan selalu siap membimbing dan mengarahkan pelaku usaha dalam pengembangan usahanya.

Abstract

Sudah menjadi budaya/ kebiasaan bagi wisata lokal melakukan aktifitas wisata membeli makanan ringan baik sebagai makanan ringan dan sebagai oleh-oleh. Warga Kepulauan Seribu Jakarta Utara melihat peluang besar dalam bisnis makanan ringan ini mengingat tingkat kunjungan wisatawan ke Kepulauan Seribu yang selalu tinggi terutama di akhir pekan (BAS, 25 Desember 2017). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan metode survei dan menggunakan uji organoleptik dan uji hedonik. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 5 produk UKM Warga kepulauan seribu dengan berbahan dasar ikan selar, ikan teri, cumi dan buah sukun. Konsumen tertarik untuk membeli makanan ringan karena penampilan kemasan yang menarik serta merasakan produk makanan ringan yang enak. Wisatawan menyukai makanan ringan dengan kemasan yang manarik. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui kemasan produk yang disukai berwarna biru langit. Produk yang disukai dari produk krupuk dan Abon ikan selar adalah aroma dan tekstur. Produk Stik berbahan cumi disukai pada rasa dan tekstur. Produk sambal berbahan teri dan keripik bahan sukun disukai pada tekstur dan warna.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of personal motivation, strong commitment and time management on work discipline. This type of research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis using Smart PLS. The location of this research was carried out in the tourist destination Situ Cipondoh. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling because the total population is the same as the number of samples, namely 63 entrepreneurs in the Situ Cipondoh tourist destination. The results of the study partially show that personal motivation, strong commitment and time management have a significant effect on work discipline. Personal motivation in business actors strengthens energy, intrinsic drive, focus, perseverance, and consistency, and encourages self-development and increases overall business success. Strong commitment to business actors is an important factor in building and maintaining high work discipline in the business world and encourages an attitude of responsibility, resilience, consistency and high motivation, all of which contribute to business success and growth. Good time management helps businesses identify important tasks, create a structured schedule, increase efficiency, reduce stress and improve the quality of their work, all of which contribute to productivity and business success.
