Abstract

SMEs were the sector most affected during the Covid-19 pandemic. Among them are SMEs in Tegallega Village, Ciampel District, Karawang Regency. The problems faced are very diverse, such as decreasing demand, inaccessible additional capital, no cost to continue the business, low technology usage ability, poor marketing, lack of product innovation, and absence of records and books. The problem-solving method used was training in developing human resources in the field of entrepreneurship, mentoring home industry groups, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The results achieved in this activity were providing training to SME actors to be able to take advantage of the abundant resources, namely bananas. Banana fruit can be used as raw material because it is easy to find and the price is relatively cheap and can be processed with a variety of more innovative variations, such as banana caramel, Super Banana Chocolate Cake, and banana stick.

Abstract

Education is one of the important components to build Human Resources. This research was conducted to describe the problems of the New Student Admission (PPDB) policy for SMA Zoning system with age selection in DKI Jakarta Province. This research was conducted in October 2020. This research focuses on students who take part in PPDB SMA 2020, especially those who are domiciled in DKI Jakarta. This study used qualitative research methods. However, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the research was not carried out directly in the field. Researchers made observations through news mass media and several literature studies as well as collected data from the DKI Jakarta Education Office and data from interviews conducted by asking questions via googleform then distributed to students who had the following criteria: (1) Domicile in DKI Jakarta (2) participated in PPDB High School Year 2020. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the DKI Jakarta Disdik decision regarding the 2020 PPDB which stipulates age selection in the zoning pathway has not yet been implemented on target. Where the purpose of the decision is to create equal distribution of education for students who have a poor economic background. However, from the interviews, 10 out of 13 students did not agree with the decision. The reason is because age selection does not provide fairness to high achieving students and students with younger ages. So that this decision is considered not to prioritize student achievement and does not support competition between students in achieving achievement.Keywords: PPDB Zoning, Problematic

Abstract

Floods are a social problem that often occurs almost every year. Bekasi Regency in recent years has become a regular flood with the number of submerged areas increasing every year and causing losses in various aspects of life. This is quite a concern and raises questions from the public about how the government's role in flood prevention is, so it is necessary to know the strategic management carried out by the BPBD which is the hand of the Bekasi Regency Government in dealing with floods and their prevention and mitigation. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation using strategic management theory according to Wheelen and Hunger (2008) which have four stages: environmental analysis, strategy formulation, strategy implementation, evaluation and control. The results of this study indicate that the strategic management carried out by BPBD in flood prevention in Bekasi Regency has not been optimal. This is because there are still shortcomings and weaknesses both from BPBD itself and from the community, lack of resources and the absence of strong legality regarding disaster risk studies and education that lacks bad habits of people who still throw garbage in rivers so that it can affect the implementation of the program that is used as a strategy by BPBD.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kualitas pelayanan administrasi kependudukan melalui penerapan e-government di Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Kabupaten Karawang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk memberikan penjelasan dan menggambarkan kenyataan dari kejadian yang diteliti secara mendalam. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis dalam penelitian ini ialah teori kualitas pelayanan yang dikemukakan oleh Zeithaml, dkk. yang memiliki lima dimensi yaitu berwujud, kehandalan, ketanggapan, jaminan dan empati. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat beberapa dimensi yang sudah berjalan dengan baik, yaitu kehandalan, jaminan, dan empati. Namun ada beberapa dimensi yang belum berjalan dengan baik yaitu dimensi berwujud karena proses pelayanan melalui aplikasi e-Dukcapil dalam pengisian persyaratan masih dianggap rumit, serta sarana dan prasarana yang belum memadai. Dimensi ketanggapan cukup baik namun masih belum maksimal karena tidak ada fitur pusat bantuan dan saran serta ketika masyarakat menyampaikan keluhan maupun saran melalui media sosial kerap kali tidak ditanggapi. Keluhan akan ditanggapi apabila masyarakat menyampaikan langsung ke kantor Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Kabupaten Karawang.

Abstract

E-government in the Central or Regional government is one of the uses or utilization of information and communication technology in welcoming the industrial revolution 4.0. The Purwakarta Regency Government through the Tourism and Culture Sector launched a digital-based application called the Sampurasun Purwakarta application which aims to provide facilities or services to facilitate all information in the tourism sector for tourists while in Purwakarta. This study uses qualitative methods by collecting data through literature study, observation and interviews. The Sampurasun Purwakarta application has been implemented for approximately 3 years so it is necessary to evaluate policies using evaluation theory according to William & Dun which has six indicators including effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness and accuracy. With the results of research showing that the application of the Sampurasun Purwakarta application in the tourism sector has provided new changes and conveniences in the tourism sector, although there is still a need for interactive development and improvement, feedback and utilization of the application.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the performance of employees in providing administrative services at the Majalaya District office, Karawang Regency and it is hoped that the results of this study can be a suggestion for Majalaya District, Karawang Regency in an effort to improve the performance of quality, responsive sub-district employees, and meet the needs and aspirations public. The research method in this study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative research approach, namely a study that aims to provide an overview of how the performance of sub-district employees in administrative services in Majalaya District is. The results of research from field observations show that administrative services related to employee performance in serving the community are good but need to carry out operational procedures optimally. The effectiveness of the performance at the Majalaya District Office is said to have not been maximized. In the process of administrative services carried out by the Public Service section itself, in reality it has not been maximized, this can be seen from the service process that is not completed on time. Then, the use of resources as a support in achieving goals is less than optimal.

Abstract

Upaya menjaga kinerja di suatu dinas adalah dengan upaya pelayanan umum yang sangat dipermudah, baik itu dalam penyampaian keluhan hingga masalah perizinan, dan pengoptimalan di bidang pelayanan Dinas terkait juga bekerja sama dengan dinas lain untuk menunjang keberlangsungan sektor pariwisata di Kota Bandung. Strategi kolaborasi ekonomi, sosial dan kecocokan pariwisata adalah tindakan yang mengkolaborasikan antara pihak pemerintah, masyarakat, dan swasta sebagai komponen yang saling membutuhkan satu sama lain. Hal ini diperkuat dengan pembagian keuntungan yang di semua pihak yang  terlibat sehingga mendapat keuntungan dari usaha wisata tersebut, sehingga tidak ada pihak yang merasa dirugikan dari usaha di bidang pariwisata yang sedang beroperasi. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukan bahwa penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang Partisipasi Politik Masyarakat dalam Pemilihan Kepala Desa serta mengetahui bagaimana partisipasi politik masyarakat Desa Purwasari dalam Pemilihan Kepala Desa, permasalahanya berasal dari Sumber Daya Manusia yang kurang maksimal. Jenis penelitian kualitatif, dimana dalam mengumpulkan data, peneliti menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Partisipasi Politik Masyarakat dalam Pemilihan Kepala Desa di Desa Purwasari masih sangat rendah, dilihat dari indikator yang dikemukakan oleh Ramlan Surbakti yaitu Kesadaran Politik, Sikap Kepercayaan Kepada Pemerintah, dan Sosial Ekonomi Status. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang menjadi penyebab rendahnya partisipasi politik masyarakat, 1) pemilih yang telah diberi hak memilih justru tidak menggunakan hak pilihnya, 2) masih terdapat masyarakat yang memilih untuk bekerja daripada datang untuk memilih.

Abstract

One of government’s efforts to overcome poverty is to develop the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. In developing MSME sector the central government and local governments carry out a support system development program for MSMEs. One of them is Department of Cooperatives and SMEs Karawang Regency. However in practice, MSMEs in Karawang Regency have difficulties in developing their products, one of which is the lack of public interest in MSME products. The purpose of this study was to find out how to implement support system development program for MSMEs at the Department of Cppperatives and SMEs Karawang Regency by using the implementation indicators form Quade (Akib, 2010) namely 1) the disered policy, 2) the target group, 3) implementing organization, 4) environmental factors. The research methodology used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the discussion of this study are the Office of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) of Karawang Regency has implemented a support system depelovment program for MSMEs well, such as MSME actors in the promotion and marketing of their products through events or good activities organized by the local government. As well as other local governments as well as through cooperation carried out by private parties such as hotels modern shopping center or malls. However, in this implementation it is still influenced by environmental factors such as low public interest in MSME products.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and examine the Cappacity Building of the Social Service in Reducing Extreme Poverty in Karawang Regency by using the Gandara theory in Bambang Irawan (Organizational Capacity and Public Service, 2016) in which there are dimensions of capacity building covering five dimensions, namely (1) Preparation, (2) Analysis, (3) Planning, (4) Implementation, (5) Evaluation. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique was carried out through triangulation which included interviews, observations and documentation studies, then the data that had been obtained were analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of research and discussion show that it is still not optimal in all dimensions of the Social Service Cappacity Building variable in reducing extreme poverty in Karawang Regency where preparations are still immature so they are not able to take advantage of opportunities from natural and industrial potential, the analysis is not sharp enough to cause poor planning. not very good, which causes the percentage of the extreme poor in Karawang to be higher than the average for the province of West Java. Implementation is carried out through several assistance programs not towards community empowerment so that the Social Service is required to be able to carry out a large-scale evaluation in order to optimize the prevention of extreme poverty in Karawang Regency.
