Abstract

West Sumatra is one of the largest ginger (Zingiber Officinale Rosc) producing provinces in Indonesia. The amount of ginger production in West Sumatra is increasing from year to year. In 2018 the total production of ginger in West Sumatra was estimated at 3,177,549 tons and in 2019 it increased to 4,508,462 tons. Ginger is one of the spice plants in Indonesia which is quite popularly used as traditional medicine. Ginger has a distinctive spicy taste, so it is quite often used as a drink to warm the body (to reject the wind). Nowadays, apart from white ginger which is generally consumed by the public, it turns out that there is another type of ginger which has more properties and a stronger spicy taste, namely red ginger (Zingiber officinale). Red ginger is predicted to be able to inhibit the infection process of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in human host cells and is predicted to be a good oral drug drink. Sudanese people who regularly drink red ginger do not get the flu / COVID-19 and in people who show symptoms of being infected with the corona virus, the symptoms are felt to be mild and recover quickly. This is because red ginger has been shown to increase immunity, increase IgM levels and reduce circulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines. The Biology student association already has a KWU (entrepreneurial) unit. The KWU unit has been engaged in the sale of food products and stationery which did not receive income during the Covid-19 pandemic. To overcome health problems during the Covid-19 pandemic and the business of the KWU HMJ Biology unit which was not optimal, an instant red ginger production business was developed.

Abstract

Pembelajaran biologi tak terlepas dari kegiatan praktikum untuk menunjang pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi pelajaran biologi. Penggunaan LKP sebagai petunjuk kegiatan praktikum harus memperhatikan kualitasnya agar dapat menyajikan kegiatan praktikum yang bermakna sehingag peserta didik dapat memperoleh pengetahuan baru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif analitik yang bertujuan mendeskripsikan atau memberikan gambaran terhadap LKP biologi kelas XI materi sistem respirasi yang digunakan. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Total Sampling dengan mengambil 4 LKP yang bersumber dari buku paket dan LKS.Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah rubrik kelengkapan dan rubrik penskoran  diagram Vee. Data penelitian kemudian diuji coba dan dianalisis untuk melihat kelengkapan dan kualitasnya berdasarkan komponen diagram Vee. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas LKP yang dianalisis melalui skoring komponen diagram Vee mendapatkan rerata persentase 40% dengan kriteria kurang baik. Pada LKP yang dianalisis, masih terdapat permasalahan tentang tujuan praktikum yang tidak dilampirkan, petunjuk langkah kerja dan prosedur langkah kerja yang membingungkan peserta didik, dasar teori yang tidak terdapat pada LKP serta tidak terdapatnya arahan dalam mentransformasikan data.

Abstract

Industrial Revolution 4.0. is a time when human life is very dependent on the information base. This forces everyone to be ready, and have global competitiveness. The trick is to be able to adapt to technological developments, be able to use it, and be able to sort out the appropriate functions of technology, so that their use is effective. All aspects of life are affected, including formal education in high school. Here, the teacher plays an important role. Carry out learning with the orientation towards proficient technology, and wisely use technology. However, the implementation of the learning certainly requires basic thinking, how much ability students have. There are no data that reveal the readiness of students in secondary schools to face the Industrial Revolution 4.0, including in SMA Negeri 8 Padang. Thus, we conducted this descriptive study. We used a questionnaire, JRZ-IR4.0, to collect data from 603 students. Then, the data is analyzed and concludes the students' readiness. The results showed that the level of student readiness was quite ready, with an average of 3.18 and 3.15 points. These results form the basis for considering the direction of the learning process.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran memuat materi sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu bahan untuk mempermudah peserta didik. Salah satu media pembelajaran yaitu bahan ajar elektronik yang memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, pembelajaran lebih interaktif, dan proses pembelajaran lebih fleksibel dan produktif. Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi menyebabkan pendidik beralih dari penggunaan bahan ajar cetak menjadi bahan ajar elektronik, salah satunya berupa e-handout. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan Research And Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model 4-D. Subjek penelitian yaitu dua orang dosen biologi Universitas Negeri Padang dan satu orang guru biologi SMA Negeri 3 Padang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis kualitatif dalam bentuk deskriptif yang mendeskripsikan validasi e-handout yang dikembangkan. Hasil validasi e-handout ini memiliki rata-rata sebesar 93,05% dengan kategori sangat valid. Dari hasil validasi dapat dikatakan bahwa e-handout berbasis kontekstual materi sistem reproduksi manusia untuk peserta didik memenuhi kategori sangat valid.

Abstract

The current development of education requires teachers to be able to innovate in making and creating various learning media. However, based on the results of observations, the learning media used were not effective and were not able to accommodate students to be active in the learning process. Development of Electronic Student Worksheets (e-LKPD) with a scientific approach to coordination system material for class XI high school students is an attempt to overcome problems found in the learning process. As well as helping students better understand the learning material, especially the coordination system material, because it includes material that is considered difficult. The development of this e-LKPD uses three stages of the 4d model, namely define, design, and develop. The subjects of this study consisted of two biology lecturers at Padang State University, one biology teacher and 31 students in class XI Science at State High School 1 Sungai Aur. The data collection instruments used were teacher interview questionnaires, student observation questionnaires, validity questionnaires, and practicality questionnaires. The results of e-worksheets validity test were 90.3% in the very valid category and the practicality test results were 91.4% in the very practical category. So that the developed e-worksheets meets the criteria and can be used in the biology learning process.

Abstract

The use of instructional media at Adabiah 2 Padang High School is not maximized and the biology learning process is still focused on intellectual intelligence, even though there are other intelligences that must be possessed by students, namely spiritual and emotional intelligence. Material that is considered difficult by students in learning biology is protist material. This research is a development research using the 4-D Model (define, design, develop, disseminate) which is limited to the develop stage. This study aims to produce e-LKPD with ESQ nuances on protist material that is valid and practical. The research subjects were two biology lecturers at FMIPA UNP, one biology teacher at Adabiah 2 Padang High School, and 30 students in class X MIPA at Adabiah 2 Padang High School. The data collection instruments used were teacher interview questionnaires, student observation questionnaires, validity test questionnaires and practicality test questionnaires. Based on the results of the validity test, the percentage of e-LKPD with ESQ nuances was 86.4% with valid criteria while the average practicality test results by teachers and students were 85.8% with very practical criteria, so that the developed e-LKPD fulfilled criteria and can be used by students in learning biology.

Abstract

Innovation in PowerPoint media determines students' interest and motivation in learning. The lack of use of game elements makes students bored. To support interactive learning, games such as crossword puzzles are needed as evaluations in the media. This study is purpose to produce interactive PowerPoint learning equipped with a crossword puzzle about plant tissue material for high school students. The research subjects is an expert validator consisting of two Biology lecturers at UNP and one Biology teacher at Payakumbuh Senior High School 3. The research used is ADDIE development research. The research was conducted up to the development stage. The analysis phase uses instruments in the form of observation sheets and interviews for teachers and students. The design stage is the design of interactive powerpoint learning media. At the development stage, using an instrument in the form of a validation sheet addressed to expert validators and analyzed. The percentage results of the three expert validations show that interactive powerpoint media is 91.90% with a very valid category. so that interactive powerpoint learning media equipped with crossword puzzles that have been developed meet the criteria and can be used by students in learning biology.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, salah satunya yaitu e-booklet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan media pembelajaran berupa e-booklet bernuansa ESQ. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket yang disebarkan kepada 30 peserta didik dan satu orang pendidik biologi SMA Adabiah 2 Padang. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil analisis angket peserta didik dan wawancara pendidik mata pelajaran biologi di SMA Adabiah 2 Padang menunjukan bahwa 90% peserta didik menyatakan kurang adanya variasi media pembelajaran di SMA Adabiah 2 Padang, 100% peserta didik menginginkan pengembangan media pembelajaran elektronik berupa e-booklet, dan 85% peserta didik memilih materi sistem reproduksi sebagai materi yang sulit untuk dipahami dalam pembelajaran. Serta media pembelajaran yang digunakan di sekolah masih berfokus pada pengembangan aspek intelektual dan belum menyentuh aspek emosional dan spiritual. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa diperlukan pengembangan media pembelajaran berupa e-booklet bernuansa ESQ  tentang materi sistem reproduksi kelas XI SMA Adabiah 2 Padang.

Abstract

Various learning media are needed by students. The purpose of this research is to produce presentation media using Microsoft Sway containing a contextual approach to valid ecosystem materials. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) development research with the development model used, namely the ADDIE development model, consisting of the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate stages. However, this research is limited only to the Develop stage. The data collection of this research is primary data in the form of data obtained directly through the provision of instruments in the form of a validation questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the average validation value was 94,21% with very valid criteria that had met the feasibility aspects of content, linguistic aspects, presentation aspects, and graphic aspects. Therefore, it can be concluded that the presentation media using Microsoft Sway containing a contextual approach to ecosystem materials for high school students was declared valid. abstrak. Media pembelajaran yang variatif sangat dibutuhkan oleh peserta didik. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk menghasilkan media presentasi menggunakan microsoft sway bermuatan pendekatan kontekstual tentang materi ekosistem yang valid. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu model pengembangan ADDIE, terdiri dari tahapan Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate. Namun penelitian ini dibatasi hanya sampai pada tahap Develop. Pengambilan data penelitian ini adalah data primer berupa data yang didapat secara langsung melalui pemberian instrumen berupa angket validasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapatkan hasil rata-rata nilai validasi sebesar 94,21% dengan kriteria sangat valid yang telah memenuhi aspek kelayakan isi, aspek kebahasaan, aspek penyajian, dan aspek kegrafikaan. Maka dari itu dapat disimpulkan, bahwa media presentasi menggunakan microsoft sway bermuatan pendekatan kontekstual tentang materi ekosistem untuk peserta didik SMA yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid.

Abstract

Learning achievement can be seen from the summative assessment obtained by students after the learning process. One of the factors that influence the assessment results of learners is intelligence. The level of each intelligence possessed by learners is different. Naturalistic intelligence is an important intelligence in learning biology. Naturalistic intelligence is one of the 9 theories of intelligence proposed and developed by Howard Gardner (Harvard Psychologist). This study aims to determine the relationship between naturalistic intelligence and summative assessment of students of SMAN 4 West Sumatra. This type of research is descriptive correlational research. The population in this study were all Phase E students of SMAN 4 West Sumatra. The sample in this study amounted to 86 students in Phase E who were taken by total sampling technique. Data collection techniques through naturalistic intelligence questionnaire and for learning outcomes obtained from mid-semester summative assessment. Data analysis techniques using the analysis requirements test and correlation test using Pearson product moment. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between naturalistic intelligence and learning outcomes of Phase E students at SMAN 4 West Sumatra, with a correlation coefficient value of 0.326 which is classified into the low category.
