Abstract

  The Quality of Public Services for Persons Disabilities. Figures persons with disabilitiesin the province of Riau and Pekanbaru always increase every year (BPS , 2012; Dinas Sosial Riau,2015) . This study aimed to analyze the quality of public services for persons with disabilities inPekanbaru. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data were collected by interview andobservation, then analyzed using the technique of interactive analysis. The results showed thatpublic service delivery in the city of Pekanbaru is still not qualified on aspects of accessibility ,competence , and security. Aspects of responsiveness and courtesy has worked well, especiallyin the service organized by formal institutions such as banking, healthcare, and education . Thelack of commitment and cross-sectoral coordination cause accessibility and security aspects inorder to accomodate the unmet needs of persons with disabilities in the city of Pekanbaru.

Abstract

There has been a decrease and increase in the number of fishermen in the last 5 yearswhich is thought to be caused by the development of an industrial area on the coast ofDumai City. This paper aims to determine the socio-economic conditions of the fishingcommunities adjacent to the Dumai City industrial area, analyze the impact of industrialdevelopment on the livelihoods of fishing communities, and analyze the Dumai CityGovernment policies in ensuring the sustainability of the livelihoods of fishingcommunities. This research was conducted using a survey method with a quantitativeapproach located in Dumai City on March - April 2021. This study reveals that thepositive impact of industrial development in the coastal area of Dumai City is theincreased consumption of capture fishery products in Dumai City and the availability ofwide employment opportunities according to the level of education required, while thenegative impact of industrial development in the coastal area of Dumai City is theincreasingly narrow fishermen's catching areas that are in accordance with the type ofboat and the type of fishing gear currently used and the occurrence of livelihood shifts.This negative impact can threaten the sustainability of the fishermen's livelihood systemin Dumai City because based on the identification of socio-economic conditions,fishermen in Dumai City have lower middle income. Based on the SWOT analysis, thealternative policy that can be carried out by the Dumai City government in ensuring thesustainability of the livelihood system of the fishing community is to carry out a capturefisheries area development program as well as fostering Joint Business Groups withfishermen and the formation of fishermen's cooperatives.

Abstract

A place in the corner of the Malacca Strait, precisely in Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency, the coastal area of Riau Province, has a role as the transportation routes that connect Bengkalis, Pekanbaru and Batam, as well as ships transit point in Malacca Strait. The area has a very small mangrove cover area but has many local communities who manage mangroves independently, in the midst of dense industrial operations in the area, especially with the Tanjung Buton area which is a development area of a national strategic project. The developments carried out in that place must be carried out in a sustainably, namely balanced in ecological, economic and socio-cultural aspects. Research in that place always discusses only one aspect of the three, moreover what is currently rife is ecotourism, so many researchers have explored the wealth of natural tourism and not a few have discussed its economic benefits. This study aims to analyse these three aspects to produce recommendations for sustainable mangrove management strategies. This research was conducted in 2019-2020 in a descriptive quantitative manner using the Rapid Appraisal method which collaborates the use of several modern technology instruments including remote sensing, transect mapping, and Monte Carlo analysis. The management strategy resulted from a layered analysis that is generally found in separate studies. The results of this study show that the level of sustainability of mangrove ecosystem management in Sungai Apit District is less sustainable. The ecological condition is classified as less sustainable, the economic condition is classified as quite sustainable, while the socio-cultural conditions are classified as unsustainable. The mangrove ecosystem management strategy from this research is the "SO Strategy", that uses Strength to take advantage of Opportunities. The strategy includes increasing wildlife observations as part of educational objects and attractions, as part of the mangrove ecotourism, and development of new ecotourism areas or of existing ecotourism areas by local wisdom concept. Strategy implementation should involve stakeholders and local communities as well as new concept development.

Abstract

Dakwah Islam di era modern memiliki dua tantangan.  Pertama adalah tantangan keilmuan dakwah yang hingga sekarang belum tampak perkembangannya yang menggembirakan. Kedua, problem atau tantangan praksis dakwah.  Ilmu dakwah tampak stagnan dalam tataran pengembangan keilmuannya. Jika mengacu pada dimensi pengembangan keilmuan tersebut pada tulisan-tulisan ilmu dakwah yang sangat menonjol, maka rasanya tidak kita jumpai karya akademis outstanding tentang dakwah tersebut. Banyaknya buku atau jurnal yang di dalamnya menjadi instrumen bagi pengembangan ilmu dakwah maka tentu akan menjadi ajang bagi pengembangan ilmu dakwah tersebut. Masyarakat modern memiliki ciri-ciri : a) hubungan antar manusia terutama didasarkan atas kepentingan pribadi; b) hubungan dengan masyarakat lain dilakukan secara terbuka dengan suasana  yang saling  mempengaruhi; c) kepercyaan yang  kuat akan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan kesejahateraan masyarakat; d)  masyarakat modern tergolong  ke dalam bermacam-macam profesi yang dapat dipelajari dan ditingkatkan dalam lembaga pendidikan, ketrampilan, dan kejuruan; e)  tingkat pendidikan formal pada umumnya tinggi dan merata; f) hukum yang berlaku adalah  hukum  tertulis yang sangat kompleks, dan g) ekonomi hampir seluruhnya merupakan ekonomi pasar yang didasarkan atas penggunaan uang dan alat-alat pembayaran lain. Dakwah modernitas adalah dakwah yang  pelaksanaannya  menyesuaikan materi, metode, dan  media dakwah dengan  kondisi  masyarakat  modern (sebagai objek dakwah)  yang mungkin saja situasi dan  kondisi yang terjadi di zamana  modern  itu tidak terjadi pada zaman sebelumnya, terutama di zaman klasik.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine the capacity of the Waduk Cipta Karya as much garbage and sediment into the reservoir, the problems that occur in the Waduk Cipta Karya and revitalizing Waduk Cipta Karya. This study was conducted in approximately Waduk Cipta Karya because although this reservoir has been constructed for the reduction of the flooding that occurred in District Tampan, but floods still occur when it rains.The results showed that the capacity of the Waduk Cipta Karya has declined This is because the waste and sedimentation in reservoirs. problems that occur in the Waduk Cipta Karya is the number of bins that are in dams and reservoirs supporting facilities are poorly maintained, and the revitalization efforts that can be done by the government and the public about the form of the arrangement of drainage and improvement of waterways, sediment control, provision of counseling and guidance to the community around reservoirs and land use regulation. Factors that cause inundation and flooding in District Tampan is the absence of water infiltration due to changes in land use and habits of the people who throw garbage into the waterways.

Abstract

Anchovies (Stolephorus sp), need to be managed well because although as a natural resource that is open access if not managed properly, the management of fishery resources is not optimal and sustainable. One approach in the management of fish resources is with a surplus production model. The analysis was conducted to obtain the best model that aims to know the maximum sustainable catch (MSY), utilization rate, and use of anchovies. Data on catches and anchovies fishing efforts were collected from the Siak District Fisheries and Livestock Service. The best Surplus Production Model used to assess the potential of anchovies is the Walter-Hilborn model. Optimal effort (EMSY) of 150 Units per year. Cmsy's optimal catch is 247.75 tons per year. The utilization rate for 2020 is 70%, with an entrepreneurial rate of 41%, which indicates that overfishing has not occurred both biologically and economically.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dosis pupuk yang terbaik bagi produksi rumput gajah (Pennisetum purpureum). Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 5 perlakuan 4 kelompok, adapun perlakuan tersebut adalah sebagai berikut : P0 (Tanpa pemupukan), P1 ( 300 kg Urea/ha  + 200 kg SP 36/ha + 200 kg KCL/ha,), P2 (300 kg Urea/ha + 100 kg SP 36/ha + 200 kg KCL/ha), P3 (300 kg Urea/ha  + 200 kg SP 36/ha + 100 kg KCL/ha) dan P4 (150 kg Urea/ha  + 200 kg SP 36/ha + 200 kg KCL/ha). Peubah  yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman (cm), luas daun total (cm2), jumlah anakan (batang), jumlah daun (helai) dan produksi tanaman (kg). Data yang diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan menggunakan sidik ragam. Apabila terdapat pengaruh nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda  Duncan’s Multiple, Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf 5 %. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk anorganik memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap luas daun total (cm2) dan jumlah anakan (batang) tetapi pemberian pupuk anorganik tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, bobot segar tanaman serta hasil ton/ha dan pemberian pupuk anorganik dengan dosis P3 : (300 kg Urea/ha+ 200 kg SP 36/ha + 100 kg KCL/ha) merupakan dosis terbaik  untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman rumput gajah  (Pennisetum purpureum).Kata kunci : Pupuk Anorganik, Produksi  dan Rumput Gajah.

Abstract

Komponen pendukung suatu perangkat lunak kadang kala tidak tersedia pada suatu bahasa program. Untuk itu kita harus membuatnya sendiri sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Demikian juga pada pengembangan aplikasi pengolahan data nilai Polsri yang bernama SISAK, dari program yang hanya dapat diakses oleh satu komputer menjadi program yang dapat diakses oleh banyak komputer. Pada artikel ini komponen yang dibangun menggunakan aplikasi COM+ yang dikeluarkan oleh Microsoft. Dengan memanfaatkan kemampuan COM+ dalam mendistribusikan data, maka aplikasi SISAK dapat dikembangkan menjadi suatu aplikasi data terdistribusi yang dapat diakses oleh banyak komputer.

Abstract

Forest is the most dominant area in composing the role of environmental services. One of the environmental services of forests is carbon absorption services. Forests play an important role in climate change, namely as carbon sinks and carbon storage (stock). Nature Tourism Park is one of the ecosystems that becomes CO2 storage and absorbent. The study was conducted for 1 (one) month in Buluh Cina Nature Tourism Park. This study aims to determine the potential of environmental services to absorb carbon, the economic value of environmental services to absorb carbon, and how the role of the government and society in the management of Buluh Cina Nature Tourism Park. The research method used in this study is a field survey method that measures tree diameters and determines tree species to determine carbon potential, the benefit transfer method to calculate the economic value of carbon absorption  and indepht interviews to determine the role of government and society in environmental management in Buluh Cina Nature Tourism Park. The results showed that the potential of environmental services to absorb carbon  aboveground level in Buluh Cina Nature Tourism Park was 358,919 tons / ha or 345,757,150 tons when extrapolated to the total breadth of Buluh Cina Nature Tourism Park. Furthermore, the results of the calculation using the benefit transfer method of the economic  value of carbon absorbing services  in the  Buluh Cina Nature Tourism Park are Rp. 69,696,398,680, -. For the role of the government and the Society, the respondents consisted of the Head of the Buluh Cina Nature Tourism Park, the Head of Buluh Cina Village, Ninik Mamak and the Buluh Cina Village Society.The role of government and society cannot be separated from one another. The government and the society together maintain, protect and manage the Buluh Cina Nature Tourism Park in order to achieve environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Background and Purpose: The large number of shipyard industrial activities that stand around Buluh Island has the potential to pollute the waters of the island of Buluh so that it impacts on the catches of the reed island fishermen themselves. Some electronic media reported the impact felt by the fishermen of Buluh Island on the shipyard industry and farm of pig activities. This study aims to maintain the quality of the aquatic environment on Batam City's Buluh Island through the modeling of sources of scattered waste, so a study of non-point pollution is needed that has a direct impact on people's lives. Material and Methods: BOD parameters, in general are widely used to determine the level of waste water pollution. BOD measurement is a measurement of the amount of oxygen used by microorganisms in decomposing organic matter that is in a waters. Decomposition of organic matter involves various organisms and oxidation reactions occur with the end result of carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O). Oxidation reactions during the BOD examination are the result of biological activity and the reactions that take place are influenced by the population and temperature. This research was conducted in the Buluh Island area, Bulang District, Batam City, Riau Islands Province. This research was conducted in April - June 2019. The location of the study was Buluh Island, where there were many shipyards and pigs which were thought to be a source of waste distributed in the marine waters of the island of Batam City. Sampling is done based on the station (5 stations) that have been determined and measured in the laboratory and compared with the results of the model using equation 1. Results: Based on the results obtained at the five stations both for measurement results and modeling results (calculation results) BOD concentration values the highest is at station-3 and station-5 with values 16,978 and mg / L.17, 986 mg / L. This is because the station is the main source of waste in the farm of pigs and the location of the largest shipyard in the study area which has an impact on the decline in catches of Batam Island's Buluh fishermen. Conclusion: Based on the analysis conducted in this study, it can be concluded that by using the equation of the distribution model of scattered limbs and some physical parameters such as current speed, distance, coordinates and some water samples at each station, it is very easy to map the BOD-wide waste distribution model in Buluh Island waters.
