Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of mobile learning based learning media on students' learning motivation in the Mathematics Education Study Program FKIP Maros Muslim University. The type of research used in this research was quantitative research with an experimental approach with the research subject being Mathematics Education Study Program students who are taking basic geometry courses in the even semester 2018/2019. The research design used was one group pretest-posttest design. Data was collected through tests and motivational questionnaires. The initial data analysis is used to check the normality of the data. The final analysis used the one sample t-test and normalized n-gain test. The results showed that the average normalized gain of student mathematics learning motivation was in the medium category and there was an increase in student learning motivation after being taught by applying the use of mobile learning in basic geometry learning

Abstract

This is ex post facto research to find the relation between student’s perceptions to the statistics lecturer in learning process with statistics achievement of students semester V of the Department of Mathematics Education of Universitas Muslim Maros. The population is all students of the Department of Mathematics Education Universitas Muslim Maros in academic year 2017/2018. And the sample is 30 respondents of students who taught by statistics lecturer. Data analyze by SPSS software. According to analyze get that student’s perception to statistics lecturer generally very positive with average 138,57 and statistics achievement is very good with average 79,63. Besides that, inferential show that there is relation between student’s perceptions to the statistics lecturer with coefficient is 0,594. From analyze, it can conclude that there are relation between student’s perceptions to the statistics lecturer in learning process with statistics achievement of students semester V of Department of Mathematics Education Universitas Muslim Maros.

Abstract

animasi terhadap bangung datar segi empat segi tiga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Turikale Maros. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Turikale Maros. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi dan tes. Dalam observasi ini dimana kita melihat keaktifan, kerajinan dan dan kehadiran siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan jumlah siswa 34 dimana terdiri dari 16 siswa laki-laki dan 18 siswa perempuan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar matematika dengan melalui media animasi pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Turikale Maros, ditemukan pada cara penurunan atau penemuan hasil pada konsep bangung datar segi empat segi tiga yang mana masih banyak siswa yang keliru pada cara pengetahuan atau penemuan hasil dari konsep bangung datar. Selama penelitian ini kesadaran dan perhatian siswa mengalami peningkatan, yang mana ditandai semakin banyaknya siswa yang hadir pada saat pembelajaran dan begitu pula banyaknya siswa tampil ke depan menyelesaikan soal-soal di papan tulis dengan benar, hal ini berdampak positif pada hasil belajar siswa secara keseluruhan dimana tingkat ketuntasan siswa pada siklus I dengan persentase 61,76% meningkat menjadi 88,64% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan dari temuan penelitian dan pemberian tindakan pembelajaran, maka disimpulkan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa melalui media animasi terhadap konsep bangung datar segi empat segi tiga pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Turikale Maros.

Abstract

This research was an experimental research that aimmed to know and measure the effectiveness of the application of Problem Based Learning model (PBL) with the assistance of animation media on tetragon material. This research type was quantitative research with one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was the students of class VII SMP Negeri 5 Mandai with a random sample of 28 students in an experimental class. Data collection using a test of learning achievement that has been validated by the expert. The data of this research were analyzed descriptively and inferential with normality test as prerequisite analysis test. The results of the data analysis showed that the average pre-test was 45,57 while the average post-test was 84,32. Average gain scores normalized 0,72 in the high category and normally distributed for learning achievement data. Based on the t-test obtained 0,000 < α = 0,025 we could conclud that there was a significant increase. The post-test also showed that 26 out of 28 students (92,86%) have reached KKM score in mathematics in SMP Negeri 5 Mandai. The results of this study indicate that there was a significant improvement on the mathematics learning achievement of students after being taught with PBL model with the assistance of animation media on tetragon material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and measure the effectiveness of the application of the Polya model problem-solving method. This research method uses experimental research with the type of research that is quantitative research with one group pretest-posttest design. The results of data analysis showed that the average pre-test of 44.66 based on the criteria of learning outcomes was in a low category while the average post-test was 83.22 which was in the high category. The average normalized gain score is 0.71 in the high category and is normally distributed for learning outcome data. Based on the t-test obtained 0,000 < ½α = 0.025, which means there is a significant increase. The post-test also showed that out of 32 students there were 30 participants (93.75%) who had achieved the KKM scores in mathematics in 11 Maros Baru Junior High School. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant increase in mathematics learning outcomes of students after being taught with the Polya Model Problem Solving method on rectangular material or it can be said that the Polya Model Problem Solving method is effectively applied to the rectangular flat figure material of mathematical story problems.

Abstract

This research was experimental research that aimed to know and measure the effectiveness of applying the RME model by using props on cube and beam material students in class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Maros. The result of data analysis showed that the average of pre-test was 21,10 while the average of post-test was 76,67. Average of gain scores normalized 0.74 in the high category. Based on the t-test obtained 0.000 < 1/2α = 0.025 which means there was a significant increase. The post-test showed that 24 out of 30 learners (80%) had achieved the KKM score of Mathematics subjects.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis mobile learning terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Muslim Maros. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen dengan subjek penelitiannya adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah geometri dasar pada semester genap 2018/2019. Adapun desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretest-posttest design. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes dan angket motivasi. Analisis data awal digunakan untuk memeriksa normalitas data. Analisis akhir menggunakan uji one sample t-test dan uji n-gain ternormalisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata gain ternormalisasi motivasi belajar matematika mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang dan terdapat peningkatan motivasi belajar mahasiswa setelah diajar dengan menerapkan penggunaan mobile learning dalam pembelajaran geometri dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengukur keefektifan penerapan model Realictic Mathematic Education (RME) dengan menggunakan alat peraga pada materi kubus dan balok. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan one grup pretest- post-test design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Maros dengan sampel yang diambil secara acak sebanyak 30 peserta didik dalam satu kelas eksperimen. Data penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial dengan uji normalitas sebagai uji prasyarat analisis. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pre-test 21,10 sedangkan rata-rata post-test 76,67. Rata-rata skor gain ternormalisasi 0,74 dalam kategori tinggi dan berdistribusi normal untuk data prestasi belajar. Berdasarkan uji-t diperoleh 0,000 < = 0,025 yang berarti terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan. Pada post-test juga memperlihatkan bahwa 24 dari 30 peserta didik (80 %) telah mencapai nilai KKM mata pelajaran matematika di SMP Negeri 5 Maros. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Penerapan model Realisctic Mathematic Education (RME) dengan menggunakan alat peraga efektif terhadap presetasi belajar.

Abstract

The study aimed at discovering the use of animation media on Mathematics learning at Islamic School (MTs.) Paitana Jeneponto which covered the description on students’ activities, students’ responses, and the improvement of learning outcomes. The type of the study was quantitative research, with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population were students of grade VII at MTs. Paitana. The sample of the study were 24 students, selected randomly with assumption that all of the classes of grade VII were homogen in terms of learnin outcomes as the experiment class. Data were collected by using observation sheets of students’ activities, students’ responses, and the test of learning outcomes. Requirement test for analysis used test of normality. Data were analyzed by employing one sample t-test technique. The result of the study revealed that (1) the impact of the use of animation media toward students’ activities are described as follows: in general, students tend to pay attention on the animation media without other irrelevant activities of the lesson and the students’ activities overall was in ideal category; (2) students give positive responses on learning proved more than 80% or all of the questions received positive responses to more than 50% students; (3) the mean score of students’ pretest was 28.79 with the standard of deviation 10.118 from each of the ideal score 100. The gain score was 0.71 from learning outcomes data which was categorized as high, data were distributed normally with the level of significance 0.269 for normalized gain data. By the t-test, the significance value obtained 0.000 meaning that there was improvement on students’ learning outcomes in studying Mathematics after the students taught by employing direct learning model using animation media. The final test indicated as well that 22 out of 24 students (91.67%) achieved the KKM score on Mathematics learning at MTs. Paitana.
