<![CDATA[The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of massage therapy to improve babyâs weight. The design of this study was quasy experimental with pre test and post test control group approach which divided into experimental group and control group. The samples of this study were 34 babies which aged 1-3 months in Pekanbaru by using purposive sampling method. Baby massage was implemented by mothers twice a day (morning & afternoon) in experimental group in 2 weeks. The analyze used in this study were univariate and bivariate with Mann-whitney and Wilcoxon test. The result showed a significant different in babies weight between experimental and control group (p= 0,01<0,05) with 700 grams increases in babyâs weight which mean that massage therapy had effect to improve babyâs weight. This research recommended that massage therapy could be applied by mothers in daily living. Keyword: baby, massage therapy, weight gain.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to identify the correlation between body mass index (BMI) with age of menarche an Elementary school students in Pekanbaru city. The design used was descriptive correlation with cross sectional, conducted on 374 elementary school girl. The sampling technique used cluster sampling. The Results showed the average age of menarche was 11,86 years. The average of weight was 45,40 Kg. The average of BMI has 20,09. The results used spearman correlations test showed there were correlation a moderate correlation (r= -0,201)between BMI with age of menarche (p=0,000< α 0,05). This study suggested school institutions and parents to provide guidance and counseling about nutrition and provide information about the right time to prepare the puberty and menarche on their adolessence girl. <![CDATA[Acupressure is nonpharmacologic therapy for dysmenorrhea. The purpose of this research was to identify the effect of acupressure on pain (intensity and quality) in adolescent with dysmenorrhea at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. This study was quasi-experimental with non-equivalent pretest-posttest kontrol group design. The sample were 52 respondens, devided into intervention and control group with purposive sampling method. Acupressure reduce pain intensity and quality signicantly p-value (< α 0,05). Dismenorrhea can decrease as 0,615 point for the pain intensity and pain quality as 0,577 point. The research recommended that acupressure at LI4 (Hequ) and PC6 (Neiguan) is effective as self theraphy in aldolescent and can be use widely as part of nursing intervention. <![CDATA[This research goal was to compare the weight increase of low birth weight (LBW) neonates that was given breast feeding and formula feeding in Perinatology unit at Arifin Achmad Hospital Pekanbaru. This was descriptive comparative research with retrospective approach. The total number of respondent was 279 taken from medical record in 2010-2012. The instruments in this research was entry sheet that was consist of information about nutrition and weight increase recorded during first-two weeks of treatment. The data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate with Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney test. Wilcoxon test showed there was weight gain in each group of feeding (P value: 0,000), further more Mann-whitney test showed a significant differences weight gain between breast feeding and formula feeding groups with P value (0,007) < α (0,05). <![CDATA[The purposes of this research was to determine the effect of health education about foot exercise by using audio visual media for increasing knowledge of foot exercise among DM patients type 2. The design of this study was quasy experiment. 30 respondents was taken by purposive sampling method. The instrument used this questionnaire that had been tested for validity & reliability (0,933). The result showed the effect of health to improve knowledge of foot exercises implementation in respondents with type 2 of DM in the experimental group after giving the health education was siqnificant (p value 0.002 <α 0.05). The results of this study recommends that the health workers provide health education by using audio-visual media to enhance knowledge of the diabetic patient to do foot exercise and prevent the occurrence of complications of diabetic, especially in the legs. <![CDATA[The purpose of this study is to describe a family of knowledge about how to care for patients with hallucination at home. The design used is simple descriptive. This research is conducted at the clinic at Tampan Mental Hospital with 30 respondents. Measuring instrument used is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and the reliability.. The result shows that the majority of respondents as many as 21 people (70%.) Have good level of knowledge. It is expected to nurse at Tampan Mental Hospital Riau Province, to give health education about hallucinations more frequent whichis useful to increase family knowledge about the hallucinations, as well as the patient's family can be motivate to control patients to the hospital on a regular basis. <![CDATA[The aimed of this research was to determine the morbidity of Low Birth Weight (LBW) infants in Perinatology unit at Arifin Achmad General Hospital. This study used a descriptive design with retrospective study approach. The samples in this research were 509 medical records of LBW infants taken by purposive sampling method. Univariate analyse was used and it showed that majority of LBW (84.9%) had low birth weight category (1501-2500 gram), 70.7% had a gestational age less than 38 weeks, and mean value of length of stay were 15.81 days for infants with complex morbidity. The result showed that majority of LBW infants had a complex morbidity (74.1%). According to this result, it is recommended for giving health promotion about antenatal care to pregnant women and also preparing the equipment and health provider to completely handle the cases of morbidity in LBW infants.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research was to determined the effectiveness of health education with individual aproach about knowledge of diet toward patient with hypertension. The design of this research was “Quasy experiment” The research conducted at puskesmas harapan raya Pekanbaru. This research used 30 Samples, taken with purposive sampling technique. Wilcoxon signed rank test and mann whitney test was used to analysed the data. The result shoned that health education effect the knowledge of eating pattern in hypertension patient ( p value 0,000) < α(0,05). This research recommend to all health personel to give health education with individual approach method to increase of knowledge toward patient with hypertension about diet to reduce other complication due to hypertension.
