Abstract

Breast cancer is a type of malignant tumor which is still the number one killer for women. In Indonesia, it is estimated that 51,136 women were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. The limited knowledge of women of childbearing age about what breast cancer is and how to detect it is one of the reasons why breast cancer continues to increase. Knowledge is very important in the prevention of breast cancer. With good knowledge, it is expected that women of childbearing age are able to motivate themselves and even those around them to do breast self-examination. One way to increase knowledge is by providing education. Providing education can be done by utilizing social media, namely Instagram. Instagram has a strong appeal to share information resources with all people. Through Instagram, respondents not only hear the material delivered but can also see posts in the form of attractive and effective images and videos. This study aims to determine the effect of social media-based information education on breast cancer knowledge in women of childbearing age. Methods: This research is a quantitative research with Pre-Experimental design with Two Group Pre-Posttest Design, the sampling technique is convenience sampling. conducted in May-July 2021, the research sample was 60 women of childbearing age. Data analysis using Paired Sample T-test and ANCOVA. There is a significant difference between the knowledge scores of breast cancer prevention in women of childbearing age. who received social media-based information education intervention compared to the group that did not get the intervention with p-value = 0.000 (p < ? 0,05). This intervention regarding social media-based information education has an effect on increasing knowledge of breast cancer in women of childbearing age.

Abstract

Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disease caused by a decrease in the amount of dopamine in the brain that plays a role in controlling movement due to damage to nerve cells in the Substantia Nigra Pars compacta (SNc) in the brain stem and abnormal protein aggregation in the form of Lewy bodies, which contain -synuclein. Parkinson's disease is characterized by the presence of dominant motor symptoms in the form of tremor at rest, rigidity, bradykinesia, and loss of postural reflexes. Physical rehabilitation can generally be used in patients with Parkinson's disease to improve health and relieve symptoms. Aerobic exercise is believed to promote fitness in Parkinson's patients and improve motor function in the elderly with Parkinson's disease. The purpose of this literature review is to determine the effectiveness of providing aerobic exercise in improving motor function in the elderly with Parkinson's disease. The implementation strategy uses a literature review technique obtained through an online search process on related research journals that have existed previously. The search was carried out through the PubMed database. Giving aerobic exercise is effective in improving motor function in the elderly with Parkinson's disease.

Abstract

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a disease characterized by mood or emotional, bodily, and behavioral symptoms of reproductive women that increase in the menstrual cycle during the luteal phase and disappear within a few days after menstruation. Approximately 50% - 80% of reproductive women suffer from PMS (approximately 3% to 8%) can cause severe mood swings, which interfere with their lifestyle and quality of life. Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) is an effective way to achieve a balance between the sympathetic and the parasympathetic nervous system so  reducing the impact of stress on the body. This study aim to evaluate effectivity of progressive muscle relaxation by mobile health to premenstrual syndrome in adolescent. A quantitative study using a Quasy-experimental with two Group Pre-Posttest design. Samples are 52 adolescents have experience PMS, have reguler menstrual cycle, are able to communicate well, can read and write, have cellphones/other communication tools, and willing be a respondent. Instruments using PSST for Screening of PMS and DRSP for evaluate PMS at experimental and control groups. Experimental Group given PMR by mobile health during 10 days. Bivariat analysis using Mann-Whitney test. The result of study found that grade of PMS at pretest was 15% mild, 38,5% Moderate and Severe among 48,5%. The Mann-Whitney value showed that there was a significant difference found between experimental and control group at level of p <0,001. This is reveals that there was a significant decrease to premenstrual syndrome in the experimental group after PMR. This study showed that there is a strong need for further reproductive health education. So there should be a regular service and health education programme on premenstrual syndrome and  progressive muscle relaxation or exercises at all hospitals or clinic and nurses or another caregivers have an important role to do it.
